Bibimbap in Glasgow City

Callum and another server (i think he had dark blonde hair and was tall?) were super quick, accommodating and friendly! the food was absolutely delicious! I'm vegetarian so usually I ask for the tteokbokki without fish cakes so I was really glad to get a version without it! A lady also made sure to keep giving us fresh tap water because we had loads! The music was also nice :)

The food is insanely delicious. Kimchi pancake was scrumptious. Definitely will be back!

Value for money is a big plus here. The food is delicious, service is quick and the staff are very polite. Will deffo be back when I’m back in Glasgow!

Ordered through Just Eats. Had the vegetarian bibimbap and the kimchi pancake. Both absolutely delicious. Fresh and flavourful. I was really in the mood for something spicy, salty and sour. The kimchi pancake fit the bill. It is quite an oily pancake so I definitely wouldn't order anything else oily with it or it would be an overload. Also came with bonus miso which was delicious. The only down side was all the plastic containers, but it's no different to many other deliveries. Would definitely order again!

Welcome to clean, quick delicious katsu curry! The portion size will make you want to nap after, but a happy nap. Great balance of flavour and ingredients. Super quick even with a long line out of the door. The chilli chips are designed to make your day brighter. Get them. And then be happy this restaurant is in your life.

Good quality Korean dishes in large quantities at reasonable prices! Very good homemade fried chicken!

Since i knew thé bibimbap from Paris (which could be proposed with Brown rice) i tried thé noodles made of sweet potatoes and vegetables and tofu, quite good. I would have préfèred it spicy without thé sauce with glutamate in it. But good friendly place i recommend

Ordered a Bibimbap, which came with plastic wrapping of some sort in it mixed in with the dish. I was looking forward to it and couldn't enjoy it, hence 2 stars.

Family visit. Last minute decision. Seated quickly and ordered some drinks. Alcohol and alcohol free available. Order taken quickly. Decision was not made quickly. Great menu but requires google to translate even the English on the menu into a reliable understanding of what the menu was offering. Drink and food arrived promptly. Very good mixture of choices. All warm and very tasty. Beware of the fried chicken. The crumbs / panko crumbs just a tad too crunchy. You may lose a tooth. Staff very pleasant. Food overall very good. Will go back.

For anyone trying Korean food for the first time, this is definitely the place to go. I went there for the first time with my partner and tried 1) Tteok-bokki - Stri fried rice cake & fried Fish cake - 8/10 2) Bimbimbap - Beef , Veggies and Rice -10/10. Loved the beef in this 🫶🏽 3) Haemul Bokkeumbap - Seafood Fried rice. Entirely amazing. Loved the flavour of this one. Very friendly staff and the ambiance was cool. A wee place and they even had Simpsons on Tele. Must go y’all!

Having lived in Korea for several years, it would be too harsh to comment on foreign Korean food based on authentic Korean food. However, in my overall experience, except for bibimbap, everything else (fried chicken, kimchi pancakes, mixed vegetables) was average. It is possible that the taste has been adjusted to suit British preferences. I hope the taste of individual dishes can be adjusted.

The staff are really nice and helpful ! Dishes are served quickly . The mojito is made with pineapple and ginger, topped with lemonade. All the noodles and rices dishes are so flavourful and juicy! But the stone rice can be hotter and the bottom should be better with crispy based. The fries chicken is so crispy and not feeling too stuff or oily!light butter style, tender meat . The cheese kimchi fries is the only thing I would complain that the cheese was not melted and the fries are not warm enough . But it is still a nice meal . Will be back !

Had a lovely date here last night. Best vegan food I've had in Glasgow so far, and I've eaten around a lot. Service was quick, and I never left like I was waiting. Really good taste in music that was playing also. Ticked every single box for me. Highly recommend. My only wish, which isn't a complaint, would be to have a separate vegan menu. So I've got a clear list of what I can have rather than finding the symbols on the menu. But they do what most restaurants do, hence I'm still giving it 5 stars.

근처 호텔에서 투숙하다 우버를 통해 배달시켜 먹어봤습니다. 쉐프가 어디 사람인지는 모르지만 떡볶이는 꾀 한국의 맛이 납니다. 불고기덮밥의 양은 많고, 만두의 소스도 새콤매콤한 향으로 미각을 돋굽니다. 오이김치는 부추로 속을 채워 적당히 익었을때가 맛있는데 이곳 오이김치는 부추향이 없네요.

Terrible experience! I ordered two takeaway meals, when I picked them up the stuff told me that's my takeaway is ready and I collected the bag then headed back home. It was heavy rain and I needed to catch up train so I didn't have time to check it as I thought there shouldn't be any issues. When I arrvied home I found out there's one missing takeaway meal, I called back to the restaurant immediately but they said they looked around the restaurant there's no other takeaway bag left(possibly never been cooked.) and cut the phone down uncared as they said they are very busy.

服務真的很糟 本來被其中一個服務生帶到四人座的位置 結果又被另外一個服務生帶到兩人座 不讓我們座兩人座的位置 結果下一組客人來就帶到兩人座 那個table從頭到尾都是沒有被訂位的 根本就是亞洲歧視。 泡菜湯呢非常的甜簡直是Syrup湯 然後音樂非常的不符合韓式餐廳氣氛一點都不好 不會再去了

Bland food and uninspiring service made for a disappointing lunch. I will definitely not be coming back here. Very disappointed.

Bing Bang Boak. Dinner here was so embarrassing. I wasn’t confident our chicken was cooked, my guests even less so. Fries were congealed. Staff looked depressed and just going through the motions, one guy just standing there doing nothing. I was looking forward to going to the restaurant next door because they’re owned by the same people, but now I know just to skip it and go to Ka Pao or Kimchi Cult for the real deal instead. Really, really poor. This is what I expect from Best Kebab. Two stars because none of us were ill afterwards.

The portions were big and very tasty, great prices and a lot of options to choose from. I loved the decoration of the restaurant as well.

2nd visit here and tasted really good. Can't fault the food and the atmosphere. Jeyuk bukkum really good, could do with some more ssam and some raw garlic slices would be great.

Everything we ordered was delicious and the portions were great! The cocktails were wonderful too and the staff was helpful and friendly despite being so overwhelmed by how busy the restaurant was! Will definitely be back

We’ve eaten here loads of times and never had an issue but tonight the service was terrible. Staff ignoring customers and just chatting to each other, I ended up going to ask could I order. My food came as soon as my son had finished so not great. The female server was being openly rude about another customer right beside us. Her attitude towards the solo female customer was shocking! It’s so small inside you can hear everything.. the staff used to be great but this must have been an off night! I wouldn’t have tipped but was forced to. Food standard has slipped also. Won’t be going back.

Awesome korean restaurant with really tasty, authentic dishes. Would recommend the japchae (glass noodle dish), bibimbap (gotta have the bibimbap at bibimbap), and seafood pancake. Very good prices for the quality of food. 10 out of 10 would recommend

Amazing food, service could be better, the food was authentic, tasty and moreish, large portions as ended up with a doggy bag. I’m not what was going on with the staff, but it felt like they didn’t want to be there, in my opinion 3 staff Saturday lunchtime isn’t enough… we waited quite some time for some of our food to come out, had to ask for an extra drink, we weren’t asked if everything was ok, and they took far far to long to clear the table and bring the bill, and again to bring the card machine. Shame because the food was phenomenal.

The food used to be better but still in a good standard. However the service quality is really bad.. Staff doesn’t care customers and they keep chatting behind the bar.. I’m not sure whether they overwork or just ignorant but the quality of service should be better.. Besides, Korean chicken used to be much better please make sure to use good quality chicken because all i got was the skin of the chicken :(

Great food, lovely experience. Staff open to explaining items on the menu. Decent prices - £13 for a kimchi stew that kept me warm the whole day, and that was on the high end of the menu. Would definitely recommend for a cosy meal.

I was recommended this place by a friend, and now I recommend it to y'all!

The Korean fried chicken came highly recommended. I hope I just court this on a bad day but it was terrible. Chicken was over done and too hard and crispy and the last piece of chicken was black on the inside (picture attached).

It was just brilliant for the first time trying korean food, and it was delicious with warm welcoming staff.

I ate in bibimbap roughly five times a month mainly for lunches but it seems to be getting progressively worse. The food as normal is excellent but the atmosphere from the lacklustre staff and the absolutely horrendous playlists is now putting me off. The music yesterday was a mix between postapocolyptic doom which was utterly depressing, which switched to some sort of new age high pitched drawn out guitar. I complained saying this wasn’t enjoyable to be told that the waiter was sorry it wasn’t to my taste. I called later as I was on the website and saw there’s actually a lunch special which I’ve never been offered in all my visits (they kept that quiet and only offer the a’la carte) and was told that “oh yeah we have that but don’t want to run it anymore, but it is still available”.. I think I’ve had my last visit. Shame as the foods good but the staff are less than caring

I had Katsu chicken curry, the best curry I've ever had. Prices are very affordable , amazingly kind staff.

One is too much, like star. They are called Korean cuisine, but is more Scottish. Over cooked egg, they use concentrate of tomatoes instead of gochujang, little quantity of pork meat, too much rice and the quality of ingredients is not what you are expecting. Like it wasn't enough they charge me 5£ for the service 😤

The food is delicious, though when the menu says a dish is spicy it really is spicy! Pretty busy though so I'd recommend going off peak when it's quieter to be guaranteed a seat.

Food and drinks were genuinely lovely, never been before will definitely be back! Staff couldn’t have been nicer, they happily explained soju to us and recommended a couple of flavours which were incredible! First visit but won’t be the last! Thanks so much guys for a great night!

Got some sort of kimchi soup which came in a cast iron bowl the size and temperature of the sun. Many hours later, my insides are still confused. Will definitely return for more.

NICE ✨ awesome vibe and delicious food 💫 right in the middle of Glasgow city centre (very close to Glasgow Central). Food portions are okayish but they are all really really yummm 😋. P.S. Chicken cheese bulgogi was my favourite and kind of my comfort food ✨ so... highly recommended 💕

First time there and loved it with it's friend, chilled staff. You just rock up and hope for a seat so maybe avoid busy times. Liked how every meat dish has a vegetarian alternative and it waa very reasonable.

I was recommended this place by a friend. This one is on the small side, so seating is limited. However, I have been told they have larger premises in the west end. All the staff were polite helpful and chatty, which made me feel very welcomed. Good range of food on the menu and what I ordered was delicious, with a nice kick of spice to it. Added this place to my maps as a place to go back to.

It was the first time trying Korean food and it was very nice. We tried the pancake, the fried chicken with a side and the bibimbap. The portions are very generous so make sure you choose wisely. The only downside was that the food can be a bit heavy but this could be sth to do with cuisine.

Stopped in bibimbap for a summer afternoon lunch/tea. We opted to sit outside as the weather was hot - but there wasn't direct sunlight and maybe we made a wrong decision. We chose bibimbap, kimchee bokk eumbap, veg dumplings and a side of kimchee. They came with miso soup sides, which after a couple spoonfuls we left. The bipimbap was served in a "hot pot" bowl with veggies, we usually prefer broccoli at home whereas this was served with cucumber and carrot. It was delicious. My kimchee bokk dish was served and presented well. Very tasty. We ordered dumpling starters as a side and I'm used to these being steamed, but these were fried and crispy. Different, but still very nice. We're fans of kimchee, though the side dish was a lot, even for two sharers. We ordered Cass beers - there's probably a wider range of Korean beers but we've had this before elsewhere and it's light, refreshing and doesn't get in the way of food. The service was polite and attentive but we were originally confused as there are no uniforms/tag or way of recognition for staff. That is perhaps the biggest, but minor downside. We would eat here again and would recommend. It's a nice place and I'm glad we stopped.

Well I haven’t tried other menu cause all the time I go for it beef bibimbap at this restaurant. and I highly recommend it as a korean. I tried korean restaurant here and there at different country and so far Bibimbap is one of my favorite. Flavor is way better than my bibimbap🫠Plus My favorite part is, Gochujang which is chilly paste,fairly spicy like original.

The restaurant that introduced me to Korean cuisine. Easily one of the best places to eat in Glasgow. We've been there more than two-figure-number of times and we are still not bored of the food! The chefs are sheer brilliant, staff are extremely congenial and I have personally developed a passion for its amazing ambience. If you haven't eaten there, what are you still waiting for !!??

First time at the west end location. Food was very good we ordered a lot of dishes that were not spicy. Staff was really friendly and the ambience was great. You can try a lot of Korean dishes you see in the k-dramas. Go enjoy!

Amazing food very tasty nice selection of drinks and good service. The waitress was very friendly the food came out fast. Definitely recommend it .

Ordered Japchae and Cucumber Kimchi, the service was incredibly quick and efficient and the waitress was super kind. The Japchae was great but the cucumber kimchi was not fermented properly, so it tasted like watery cucumber with tomato sauce. Definitely disappointed by the kimchi since it was 5£. Otherwise would recommend!

The staff are so lovely, the food is amazing and the general vibe and atmosphere is welcoming too. Idk the two girls who served us but they were so lovey and attentive but they deserve extra recognition! I highly recommend!

Good food and service! The portion of food and price are excellent. It situated on a good location and close to the central station and the walking street.

Had lunch with colleagues here today, coming in at £85 for the five of us - mains & soft drinks (water coming in free). Good service - although it wasn't busy and so the staff could be the right level of attentive - and a nice variety of food that was new to me. The menu could have explained more though, as some of the dish names gave little idea of what they were.

We went as a group and ordered lots of different dishes and sides, so we tried a fair portion of the menu. Everything was delicious and fresh and the staff was super friendly and helpful.

Tolles Geschmackserlebnis. Portion war mehr als genug. Meine Tochter hatte aus Versehen ein nicht vegetarisches Gericht bestellt. Dieses wurde ohne Probleme und ohne Aufpreis umgetauscht. Wir wäre beeindruckt!!

Was taken here by my daughter for lunch as a wee treat as she's been a few times before and said I would love the food and she was right. The waitress that served us throughout was lovely, very welcoming, friendly and as nice a person you will meet. Decided to choose 4 items to share from the menu and every one of them was magnificent and no long wait for it to arrive after we ordered. Opted for tempura king prawns, chicken skewers with spicy chilli sauce, pork belly roll and the crispy Korean fried chicken with the seriously good yum yum sauce. Will definitely be back again sometime as there are so many items on the menu that I want to try and also to have that yum yum sauce again.

I had the classic crispy Korean fried chicken the other day for lunch. Top quality fried chicken with very crispy batter and a Korean barbecue sauce. Super tasty 5/5

Amazing food, but most of the time when go to order takeaway the ttebokki is out of stock so if others are same as me and just don't bother ordering when they can't get that you will be losing a lot of business. Ordered at least once or twice a week initially then this became too common a problem ♡ not had an order in months now ♡
