Nuestros primos de Londres eligieron este restaurante cuando los invitamos a almorzar y nos quedamos muy impresionados con el servicio y la comida. Muchas opciones de comida.

La bienvenida y el servicio es sin duda el punto fuerte de este restaurante. Nos recibieron dos jóvenes muy educados y serviciales que hacen su trabajo de maravilla. Podemos ver de inmediato que están muy contentos de darle la bienvenida. En cuanto a los platos, la cocina es italiana y de bastante buena calidad.

Había estado comiendo allí con frecuencia con amigos hasta finales de 2024. La comida estaba bien y el gerente es muy agradable. El lugar es bastante bueno también. ¿Qué podría estar mal? Desafortunadamente, no es el lugar para ir si solo quieres una comida tranquila con un amigo. Por alguna razón desconocida para mí, este restaurante atrae con frecuencia a los gritadores, personas que hacen tal ruido que no se puede escuchar lo que su amigo de enfrente está diciendo. Una vez, alguien conocido por el gerente entró, se sentó en el centro del restaurante y comenzó una conversación a gritos con el gerente justo en la parte de atrás, sobre todos los demás comensales. Para nada enconado - muy amistoso - pero pensó que nadie más cenaba allí importaba. En otra ocasión, estaba bastante tranquilo y mi amigo y yo estábamos hablando sobre nuestra comida cuando cuatro hombres muy ruidosos entraron y se sentaron a la mesa a nuestro lado. Todos sacaron sus teléfonos móviles e iniciaron una conversación excepcionalmente alta y agitada entre ellos y los hombres al otro lado del teléfono. Se lo dije al gerente y se ofreció a movernos a otra mesa cercana, pero es un restaurante pequeño y no habría hecho ninguna diferencia. Ante esto, los hombres se pusieron agresivos y comenzaron a gritarnos explosivos. Creo que eran del sur de Europa, no británicos. En esta etapa nos levantamos y nos fuimos. El gerente es un hombre muy agradable, pero no podemos esperar que controle el comportamiento de sus clientes, eso no sería bueno para los negocios. Así que finalmente decidimos que con los problemas constantes de los clientes ruidosos, este lugar simplemente ya no era para nosotros. Es extraño que haya muchos restaurantes que no tengan este problema, donde los comensales se porten relativamente bien - se portan bien - y conozco un montón de estos. Así que ahora vamos a estos y los que gritan pueden disfrutar de Amaretto y todos estamos felices.

Servicio rápido y amable. Pizza cara. Puedes conseguir pizza mucho mejor por el mismo precio. Si mi pizza cuesta 2. 5 menos Sería feliz.

We found this spot very accommodating and helpful. I went with a wheelchair user and nothing was too much trouble. Very helpful friendly staff. The restaurant had a lovely calm atmosphere a out it. The food was excellent and the portions generous. A huge menu to choose from. Restaurant was spotlessly clean. We will definitely be back and thank you!

This is an absolute gem of a place. The service is wonderful and so friendly. The food is really delicious and very good value for money. We had a wonderful evening and hope to return soon.

Fabulous lunch with husband today in this modest Golders Green Italian. Woke up with a craving for Dover sole which few restaurants near us seem to feature. Did a little research and thankfully came up with this treasure. Unfortunately my eyes were much bigger than my tummy, and seeing Aubergine Parmigiana on the menu, I decided that this old favourite would make a tasty starter. Sadly, it did, it was stupendous, the home made tomato sauce a thing of great beauty. Indeed the portion was so generous that, even by leaving half, I wasn’t able to do justice to my supersized grilled Dover sole. (Incidentally, the mains are served with your choice of vegetable, which is very fair of this restaurant as the prices are modest for current times. I chose zucchini fritti which my husband thoroughly enjoyed as I was too full to even look at them). Husband chose fresh minestrone to start, which he followed with a pizza. This he pronounced to be delicious. The lovely waitress who served us appeared to be a little stern at first, but we soon realised what a sweetheart she was, and how thorough and professional her service. Indeed, she went above and beyond her duties while we were there, taking special care of elderly, infirm and solitary diners. She’s definitely one in a million. The chef who I imagine is also the boss, popped out to check everything was to our liking. I discerned that he is from Kosovo, however his knowledge of Italian cuisine is very thorough, and his culinary skills trump those of many Italian cooks I’ve known in my 60 odd years. I imagine I freaked the poor chef out when I left so much of my lunch today. Sadly this was due to my very greedy over ordering! We will most definitely be returning asap with better appetites. The food is great here, it’s freshness and quality undeniable. The service is charming and kind, and the ultra fair pricing mean you leave with a huge smile on your face!

We actually did not order anything from the restaurant, but the manager saw us struggling trying to get a taxi late in the evening and left everything he was doing at the closure, and took care of us. Must say that whoever acts this way has a huge heart and it has to reflect in the food and the service. Bless you!

Our waiter was from Italy contrary to previous review and couldn’t be more helpful in the usual Italian way excellent food in large portions so much so that after starters What mains we didn’t finish we took home with no quibble This is not really a place for lingering but serves good wholesome food at reasonable prices what’s not to like

I visited on a 3rd date. Unfortunately the last time I will see her, but the first time I will visit Amaretto (of many!) A very solid Italian - the pasta was especially tasty and my desert was a particularly delicious Zabaglione.

Visited as a tourist as near Golders Green coach station on a midweek morning. Friendly staff and chef. Bacon and egg sandwich came with large freah salad garnish. Good espresso and breakfast tea. Power socket for phone. Jazz playing quietly was conducive to reading my book. Didn't feel conspicuous alone. A mix of builders, middle class locals and tourists. All welcome. Go!

Nothing Italian in this restaurant. Manager is from East Europe and very rude, dishes are mocking Italian recipes. Never again.

Went to Amaretto for the first time today as Golders Green was a good meeting point to catch up with a cousin. It did traditional italian so well. Food was delicious, all three of us went for traditional pasta dishes, generous and tasty. Lovely waitresses and unexpectedly got to meet the chef who popped out from time to time to check on his customers and see if they were happy. A really nice touch.

This was the first time I had been to the Amaretto and I was very impressed with everything .. the extensive menu, the delicious food and the attentive service. All the staff there were so welcoming and friendly. My only (subjective!) comment is that I thought the ambiance was just a little austere, which doesn't do justice to an otherwise excellent restaurant. Anyway, I highly recommend the Amaretto and look forward to returning there again very soon!

Went with some fronds to order pizza on the Saturday night. We were served quickly. The food was fresh, the pizza well made and tasty. Will definitely be back.

Firstly, the waitress that sat me and took my order was not only rude and uninterested, but she couldn’t even bother looking in my direction when I ordered. I was the only customer in the restaurant, which makes sense now, and when I signalled to her that I was ready to order she yells “Yeah yeah! I’m coming”. I ordered the saltimbocca and a glass of red wine. The wine was rotten and I was served involvtini instead. This absolute joke of a venue wasn’t worth asking for a refund. I never posts reviews, but this had to be shared. Do yourself a favour and dine at the other venues that are full of happy customers.

Really slow service from a sullen waitress. It's a shame as this restaurant used to be friendly with excellent food. Pasta was fairly average with little flavour and my drink was forgotten. Took about 30 mins to get the bill after finishing. Food arrived very quickly though. Didn't order anything else as it took too long to get served. Disappointing.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Friendly staff and amazing food. I had a pizza which was delicious, my husband has pasta which was a generous portion and the child’s pizza was huge! Will definitely return again and again when in the area.

Amaretto's really looked after us. We booked them for the reception following my Mum's funeral. Great food, great value and caring handling made for the perfect moment to allow us to rest and reflect on the funeral. Thank you Amaretto!
