Absolutely amazing. We were walking looking for somewhere to eat. Was greeted with a friendly smile and a lovely welcome. We chose a 2 seater table but when they saw we had quite a few things cluttering the table, they asked if we preferred a bigger table. Nothing was too much trouble. Most importantly the food was amazing. Absolutely perfect. I've never tasted anything like it. Everywhere was lovely and clean. The service made us feel like we were the only people there. Perfect end to our stay in London. Thank you

This is your post museum stop. Heck you may want to go here first & carb up for touring the British museum. First off-Amarcord has a real nice vibe. Nice atmosphere. Nice store front. Eating are is charming and relaxing. Crew-fantastic. Professional. Polite. Answered uniformed touristy questions patiently. Made excellent suggestions. Food-oh my god soooo good. Nice presentation doesn’t hurt. But mostly the food is super tasty. Wine and desserts were likewise fantastic. Yeah, I recommend eating at Amarcord…before or after visiting the museum. Or both. Heck if I am ever lucky enough to find myself in London I’d go here again even if I pass on the museum.

The pastries in the window caught our eye so we decided to stop in. We were greeted and asked if we were two for lunch - we explained that we were there for a dessert and hot chocolate. Sultan kindly explained to us that the indoor tables were reserved for lunch diners [it's a small space inside and they are VERY busy], but since it was raining out, if we could finish in 30 minutes he's let us take a table. We discovered wy they are so busy - the desserts were absolutely delicious, and Sultan's attention and service were outstanding. Anytime we're in the neighborhood we'll stop by.

Excellent Cappuccino and light refreshments in food patisserie. The Italian waitress doesn't spread a good atmosphere and serves reluctantly. unfortunately sad. That's a massive point deduction for not feeling welcome. Very sad.

We had delicious pizza and a pasta dish and shared salad and lovely half bottle of Valpolicella. the food tasted very freshly made , the pizza crisp and the arrabiata pasta creamy and spicy. The wine was great and it was useful to have just a half-bottle as we were walking back to St Pancras. It's a small interior so it's very lively, very busy so not much room but great atmosphere.

There were 3 of us. I ordered the pepperoni pizza whilst the other two ordered the calamari & prawns with advocado. Whilst the pepperoni was nice, the calamari was average and the prawns was very poor. The calamari portion consisted of around 4 large ones which were nice and around 3 smalls ones which were very hard. The prawn starter was very watery and didn't taste fresh at all. The advocado that came with the prawns was nice though.

Noticed the pasta/pizza salad and a glass of wine deal for £19.95. I had been to the British history museum and needed to kill some time before meeting family and my partner who had a meeting close by. Pasta was delicious as was the wine. Sat outside, watching the world go by and reading a good book whilst enjoying a further 2 glasses of wine. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped me when needing to shelter from the rain or from keeping my drink safe when needing to pop out. Thanks so much!

First of all: this is not an Italian restaurant. As an Italian person I refuse to consider Italian any restaurant that has chicken with pasta or that put pasta next to the cotoletta alla milanese. I ordered a cotoletta and I had to send it back: all the breadcrumbs was coming away from the veal. They send me another one in like 5 minutes and was basically the same. The food is not fresh. To make a cotoletta you have to wet the meat with eggs, then pass into breadcrumbs until it's covered with it. And then fry it: if it's freshly done it takes you, between preparing it and cook it, at least 30 min. Not five. And usually you can see that it's freshly done cause it's still hot. Mine was cold, not tender Absolutely not, I save just the people there who are really nice, but never again.

I chose Amarcord for its proximity to the British Museum and Atlantis Bookshop where I was due to attend an early evening event. Their opening hours meant that I didn't have to hang around in the cold and wet between the Museum closing and the bookshop re-opening. I was glad to be able to select a light meal (calamari fritti, with excellent garlic mayonnaise, insalata mista and patate fritte, with a glass of good house white). The food was very good.My only regret was the size of the portions. These days I so often share a main course with a friend as I simply find restaurant portions too big. On this occasion, I would have appreciated being able to have half the amount of everything, all on one plate, at half the cost! The Albanian waiter was very helpful and, as it was early, we were able to have a short conversation about the Albanian language!I recommend this unpretentious restaurant.

There’s much to be said about Italian food because the right dish prepared the way it was meant to be will stay in your memory forever. It will set the standard for all others however now it seems as though you can’t turn down a street without there being an Italian restaurant will most claiming to be the best in town. This is where Amarcord stands out, because they aren’t purporting to be the best of the best but they are definitely the best at what they do and that says a lot. The food was well crafted with a balance of flavours (no overpowering garlic or grease etc) the service was above standard and the price was what was expected however we would have happily paid more not because we are made of money but because it was worth it. If you’re looking for an Italian meal that stands out from the rest in quality then Amarcord is your place. I’m sorry I didn’t say more but sometimes it’s best to give a little and let other Male their own mind up and that’s what I invite you to do. As always this is just my opinion and I hope it helps.

Absolutely charming and attentive service, gorgeous chicken in a rich sauce, with crispy, tasty sauté potatoes, and very moreish profiteroles to follow. Decent prices, too. Yes, I plan to be back!

Good food but the worst is what the door is broke and don't close.then you have to get up to close it.

Stopped in here for a late lunch on a cold, wet day. Excellent service, very good meal, reasonable price. Not amazing food, but very good. Made a great place to go after a visit to the British Museum.

Jättemysigt ställe där man känner sig välkommen från första ögonblicket. En enkel bruschetta följd av en pizza och pasta vongole gör kvällen perfekt. Avslutas med en tiramisu, dubbelespresso och en sambuca. Mums

We had excellent garlic bread for starters and had a plate of pasta each. Both very very good for only £11. We then finished off with a creme brûlée, coffee and digestive. The waiter was also very nice and friendly.

Very accommodating for 10 hungry ladies who hadn't pre-booked for an afternoon meal before catching a train back to Lancashire. We had a lovely friendly waitress from the Ukraine who somehow remembered all of our drinks order without writing anything down. Food was excellent and we didn't have to wait too long. Excellent choice on GF menu and I had a very tasty GF pizza. Couldn't fault the meal or service. It was a good way to end our weekend in London 👍

. awful service....I ordered a cup of tea....and a cooked English breakfast....the tea came....but after about 20 minutes I enquired how long the breakfast would be....and the waitress told me the cooks never received my order. when I told them I haven't got time to wait another 20 minutes and went to leave....they didn't seem that bothered at all....charged me for the cup of tea....and not even an apology....as though it was my fault somehow.
