the first order was delivered somewhere else. received the 2nd lot of food and part of the order was missing. normally have no issues

order over 1 hour late. phoned the resturant and was told it was round the corner, still another 40mins. food damaged and cold on delivery. when I called back 30 mins later than first call, was told we spoke to you 5mins ago and we told you were busy. delivery women was told it was damaged, she said oh well, speak to them. discussed with everything!!!!!

Lamb was awful!!!!! Delivery time was catastrophic

food never arrived and delivery driver lied stating he delivered the food. 3 hours waiting and nothing to show for it. don't waste your time ordering here people.

This was really disappointing, bland tasting and no substance. I think a jar of sauce from the supermarket put together with some fresh veg would have tasted nicer. My partner threw his away and couldn't even eat it. We sadly won't be coming back.

Food overall was good. The potatoes in the saag aloo were undercooked which was disappointed. They threw in an extra papadom which was appropriated.

I asked for it not to be spicy and its so spicy i cant eat it. Complete waste of money!!! Never buy from here again. They dont follow customers requests

unfortunately this was the worst meal I've ever had. the food was cold. I csn actually deal with that. can reheat. However the poppadoms were soft. the onion bahjees were dripping in grease and the kebabs were rubbery

I can forgive the late delivery time as road works were put up locally. The food was very nice as usual and surprisingly still at a good temperature to eat. Friendly staff when I phone them up.

Really tasty curries with extra spice / heat 🌶️ We thoroughly enjoyed the coconut rice and peshwari naan as sweet accompaniments to hot curries! The only critique, is that the salad and poppadoms could have been a tad bit more fresh. Poppadoms were slightly stale (soft) and salad was packed with curries, so was hot and limp.

First time order. Curry sauces were very tasty but sadly the chicken in my butter chicken was pink and undercooked so I couldn't eat it. Chicken in the pakora also very pink. Rest of food was fine...

Food was not pleasant, mint sauce had spilt all over the food. Poppadoms were stale, meat in one of the curries didn’t taste right. The dopiaza sauce wasn’t nothing like I had tasted before it was really sweet and didn’t taste like the usual curry. King prawn didn’t get eaten as it smelt badly of nasty fish. I’ve eaten here many times before but this time around it was awful.

I've used Amala for years and always enjoyed it but it wasn't great last time I ordered and this time it was worse. I don't know of they they have a new chef but it wasn't nice and the popodoms were stale. I've always recommended this place but I can't anymore

Ordered a take away on Saturday, have to say this is the worst Indian we have had, the Dhansak tasted like it had a bag of sugar in it, no spice at all, the Vegan meal was tasteless, the Koran looked like something a cat had thrown up and the prawn dish was tasteless, with extremely large chunks of garlic in it! The onion bhajis tasted like they had been reheated and reheated again, the poppodums were also burnt, really disappointing and would not recommend! Just eat were no help either!

Items were burnt, but food still arrived cold! The Dansak was terrible tasted like it was just made with Sugar! The vegan dish was tasteless, along with the veggie meal, looked terrible and didn’t taste much better. The onion bhajis tasted like they had been reheated a couple of times..but were still cold! Ordered for 6 people and not one person was happy with their meal, the majority are f it went in the bin! Raised with Just Eat and they were no help at all…Honestly don’t waste your money!

If your a big fan of Indian cuisine and want to cut down or even give up then try this absolute shat out. It'll put you off for life I only ever get a Dhansak where ever I am and this one here was pure sugar it was rank & even the poppadoms were burnt to a cinder, the onion barhjee was full of food colouring and just chewing it gave me jaw ache..never again folks.

I called restaurant to see where my order was because it said it was on its way...and the restaurant is only 12mins away 30mins after I called to see where not here there said on its way...then it said delivered and I still haven't received it....I called restaurant back 45mins later and they said it's on its way I said it left your restaurant 45mins ago and we are 12mins away...can you call driver and see where my food is ....my food didn't arrive I would like a full refund

The curries were utterly flavorless, with the overpowering taste of pepper being the only discernible flavor. Additionally, we were surprised and let down by the absence of complimentary mint sauces, which are typically a staple. Unfortunately, won't be returning.

Shocking 😮 don’t order waited over an hour they then updates just to say order delivered however no food turned up ring restaurant's they then say food not even left and it will be another 20 mins

over a 2 hours since ordering and still not here, been told 5 minutes more than once when we call up. won't be ordering from here again. the kids have had to go to bed without dinner as they have school tomorrow. ordered before 6 too and still not here gone 8.

Went for Sunday buffet, food is ordered and bought out freshly cooked. Everything we ordered was amazing, staff were friendly. So glad we came here, definitely our go to Indian restaurant now. Cannot fault anything with this place!! 10/10!!

Recently discovered this restaurant. We eat Indian food every fortnight and have tried many restaurants. This one is great and we will definitely be using it again

Ordered at 8.25 turned up at 10.10 shocking customer service from restaurant. Food then arrived cold, would never order again.

Once again another great delivery….. was early and had to tackle rush hour traffic. Food was piping hot and came from Benfleet to Canvey. Thanks for a great meal.

First time ordering from Amala and don’t think there will be a second time 😞 Food was cold Had To Warm it up in microwave The Tikka was more like Tandoori Than Chargrilled & The Korma Was far Too Sweet & Thick To Mix in With Rice or Eat With Nan Bread So Ended up Just Throwing it Away! Glad We Didn’t Pay Full Price Because Our Treat of The Month Went in The Bin🤷🏼‍♀️

someone needs to read my comment on just eat order please,I asked for hot veg curry but I received mild one, I have same experience before

Missing item aside, the quality of the food was poor. The tandoori mix grill had a weird slimy coating (I’ve never been put off food before but this was new) it was also an obscene amount of food colouring. The garlic naan lacked garlic and only about 20% of the keema naan had any filling. Shame

Unfortunately overall wasn’t great, started well with an early delivery and friendly driver. However the food itself had issues. The Dhansak and Madras were severely oily , more than the other dishes and leaked everywhere, which stained the table cover. The Tiger chicken dish was very strange tasting and only had 3 small pieces of chicken in it which was poor. I raised through Just Eat and they put it down to “Style” of cooking and closed the issue. I’ve had food from Amala a few times won’t again

Yum I like being able to order masala sauce separately.. I had chick tikka starter and tandori lamb chop. Chops got 2 never seen them before , they were very tender long chops only a couple of mouthfuls of meat as is with chops, but very tasty will have again. Chicken very tender and tasty, did have the consistency of real chicken unlike some others I have had. Peshwari nann lovely. Onion bharjee/ bharji confused as to the difference. Previously bought a platter with bharjee all in one and got just fried onion. Bought separately got balls they were very red quite soggy but did taste nice.

be careful when ordering from this place they hardly give you any meat they are very tight on a few occasions I have ordered lamb dishes and I'm struggling to find any lamb in there the people at the restaurants said next time I'll give you more it's not the point I've paid a lot of money the next time comes and you still struggle to find any meat it is also the same for chicken as well when you phone them up they do not rectify the problem they just say thank you for your phone and hang up

In the Bengal chicken were many woody bits and many large tough leaves. Sauce and chicken were fine but it was spoiled by the odd foliage!.
