Food is amazing and we got the £12.95 deal that’s on a Tuesday and Wednesday any starter ,main.side.rice or bread apart from fish dishes or lamb chop , our bill come to £42 and that was with a wine and beer excellent price . We will be back soon

Bhajee was hard and cold and Rogan was spicy. It’s never a spicy dish. My wife could not eat it. It’s a shame as they have been very good up until now it this has spoilt it.

Delivery time is as 9pm and still hasn’t arrived it is now nearly 9.30pm

My friend and I treated ourselves to a meal here and it was totally delicious. Nice and spicy, not bland in any way at all. Each dish was just right. Served with a smile. Will return soon for sure.

Curry was all inside carrier bag it came in. All the food was cold when it arrived! I had to put it in the microwave to heat it up. The food was tasteless, first time ordering and I won’t be ordering again. Waste of money!

Overcooked, tough and we we ended up glad that the portions were tiny because it was awful! I actually gagged on the lamb tikka. We have a very happy food caddy this evening which is where it all went. Oh and it was stone cold when it finally arrived…

Honestly, flavours unreal. However I know I will regret the naga tomo. If you go spicy and want heat induced hiccups this is your boy. My forehead was like a waterfall, my lips now represent the rest of the Essex female population. I’ve only just got the feeling back in my fingers to write this. Well done amala team!

Wonderful food and arrived hot.

Made order at 7:30pm and arrived at 9:20 but was phoning shop at 9pm and not answering. when arrived food stone cold and apology from the driver

Still haven’t received my food

1831 I placed the order. 8pm I phoned and they said the driver was stuck in traffic. Benfleet to Basildon. they obviously hadn't sent it out. I'm shocked as this is unusual but I didn't even get good customer service this time.

Ordered takeaway via just eat. Hour late and stone cold.

Food didn’t arrive for 2 hours after order placed and staff on phone completely useless!!! Delivery driver was rude and food not even hot

Ordered at 6:45 food turned up at 8:35. Was told it left the restaurant at 8:05 and when it finally arrived everything was stone cold. Nann bread wasn’t what we ordered and was rock solid. Had to heat everything in the microwave by this point we didn’t even want it. Waste of money waste of time won’t be ordering again.

we was really looking forward to this meal but unfortunately it wasn't the best. chicken was very dry even though it was in a sauce the onion bhaji's were rock hard and the naan bread was tiny. very disappointed.

Food was not hot . salmon was awful hard and tasted terrible lamb tikka and chicken tikka were watery and popadoms were not crispy. Inedible

Didnt listen to my request when i asked for no salad in my chicken tikka naan wrap. When i phoned to tell them they argued with me and eventually sent a replacement out which arrived with salad in again. Tried to phone again and couldn’t get through to anyone. Food also arrived cold

Ordered from Amala this evening and the food was terrible. The chicken was dry and burned. The poppadoms was stale. Really not impressed as you spend lots of money on a take away then you get this rubbish. Please avoid.

The food was lovely as always - but the portion sizes for the sides were smaller than normal. Some of the containers were not even half full. Also all of our popadoms were broken and we were missing 1 Bombay Aloo.

Very disappointed, a waste of money. Food arrived on time, yet it was just about luke warm. Everything was bland, no flavour and the curry itself was a watwry mess. Very disappointed, never had this issue before.

Just an incredibly average Indian. Poppadoms were soggy, chips were flavourless, korma wasn’t good at all and the dips had barely any flavour. The biriyani however was delicious but no enough to make me order again :/

For a change we thought we'd order a takeaway from somewhere new. We won't be reordering. It was delivered quite quickly, ✅ and the flavours were pleasant ✅, however, the three cartons were only half full 😔. There were 4 maybe 5 pieces of meat in the biriani 😔, watery vegetable curry with no chunky potatoes 😔 and only 2 small meat samosas 😔. And, no free poppadoms, like many Indian takeaways, The korma was nice and thick, and sweet, 🙂. But, it still left us wanting more food after.

Unfortunately it was all very cold. Our chicken tikka wraps fell apart and were very soggy - we couldn't eat them. The biryani was very nice but the accompanying vegetable curry was disappointing and watery.

Lamb Shashlik was very spicy for my wife and even though i asked for no onions, there was 2 halves of an onion as soon as i opened the package. Huge portions though!

I asked for a qood quantity receipt for my expenses. They couldn't even manage that.

I don’t mind the food being late these things happen but the food was cold the curry’s were watery and the yellow sauce that come with the order was curdled I have never seen that before, I love Amala and always order from here if I have Indian, I’m hoping it was just a off night but it was disappointing

Ordered because of offer but glad I did, great taste and portion size (some places skimp out on amount of meat in the curry). Even though not my closest Indian it arrived quickly and hot.

The food was absolutely vile & tasteless . There was 2 tiny pieces of chicken in a curry, the onion bhajis where just dripping in oil, there was pure water and oil on the sag aloo that was stone cold, the poppadoms where soft and stale. would NEVER eat from here again. The food ain’t even good enough to give back. I have kept the photos and food & will be returning it to the restaurant in its original state. Absolutely disgusted that it was even allowed to be delivered. ZERO STARS

Well the thing we didn’t like was the quality off the sauce was a bit poor on the tikka masala but too rich and so so watery the chicken was a tad over cooked and just wasn’t seasoned but the korma was good but the cheese and keema naan seemingly had little to no meat in it and the tikka masala naan had burger sauce peppers and whole tomatoes and other veg in it which is not the correct item I ordered as well
