Alverton Kebab And Fried Chicken in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Food is fantastic, but often takes longer than the 1 hour stated to deliver. Ordered at least 5 times in the last 2 months, food never disappoints.

Great food always arrives hot and they deliver to st just.

WOULDN'T recommend this place for a takeaway ever. Food took 1hour 30mins to arrive, the food was stone COLD!! and UNEATABLE!!! The portion size for a large was a small and barely any salad on it. Bare in mind we paid £40+ for our order, when we called up and asked them about it they said we wasn't to have a refund or anything. Honestly the most worst kebab shop and service. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM VERY RUDE!!!!

Ordered for myself and received a delicacy. The food was in good shape, I got a good munch large kebab, the kebab hit my tounge in the right place because it served its job. Will defo order again from this place.

Ordered a pepperoni pizza but got the completely wrong order with olives that I’m allergic to and when my partner phoned up as to say that the woman was rude and said “I very much doubt that she is allergic to olives she just didn’t like them” couldn’t believe what i was hearing

This used to be the go to kebab shop but not anymore. My coleslaw was gross.

i am absolutely shocked!!! i normally spend quite a bit here but our service, and the food we received was shocking!! sent out a soggy un eatable pizza so we called up and sent a new one and it was just worse!! it was greasy the underneath was just like plain raw doe but the top was burnt!! was like they was taking the p!ss because we phoned up!

Food tasted old , the kebabs are dry the pizza was dry we only had few slices rest went in the bin. Waste of money

On holiday down here in Penzance and thought we’d give it a try. Walked in off the street and ordered a large doner and a large chicken kebab. Both were absolutely great, loads meat, loads of salad, In fact I couldnt eat it all so will order a medium next time. I can’t comment on delivery service but for calling in after a few pints I can only give them a big thumbs up

Absolutely awful, never ordering from here again, order took nearly 2 hrs to be delivered when it eventually came chips were stone cold, chicken Shish had only red onion & cabbage as a lame excuse for salad & was absolutely tasteless complete was of £21.50. It used to be good here no idea what’s happened but they’ve lost our custom

Go to Ali Baba instead!!!!!!! Ak have let themselves go, Used to be my go to for years but now adays they don't care..... Ali Baba look after you and is only a 2 min walk away.Went to Ak tonight felt like I was spitting in his face when I asked for cheesy chips with donner meat which cost me 9 quid!!! then he came out with a full Kebab with a few chips in it..... After waiting 10 mins. Yeah see you again ak! This is why people voted out on brexit.....

Just ordered a pizza amongst other things that I normally order, added garlic to the pizza which I always do and they gave me massive chunks of it underneath!

No welcome. Staff unfriendly. A horrible, menacing atmosphere inside. Cash only, and then I was shortchanged by member of staff! The food was greasy and not as good as other kebab shops nearby. I wish I had read the reviews beforehand.

HORRIFIC SERVICE! Every time we visit this kebab our order is always wrong, so today I decided to take it back as I was fed up of all their wrong orders that happened in the past. As I don't like the sauce on my salad as it gets soggy I asked for it on the bread instead. This was ignored and the whole kebab was covered in sauce so I decided this time to take it back and asked for a fresh one. The rude staff member handed my partner a bag of boxes, the staff member said he isn't playing games and I have to build my own kebab. I am disgusted at the rudeness of this employee, I asked for a simple request and treated badly when a mistake was made on their part. I would never return to this place ever again.

Gruff service (at 9om, not rolling in after a skinful). Cash only so don't think you can just tap your card. Chips were OK, difficult to get them wrong really..

Never ever buy fish and chips from this shop. The absolute worst fish and chips anywhere in the world. The fish is supermarket bought fish in batter. This would normally be cooked in a oven. They deep fried it, disgusting ! 😝 Chips were like eating strips of car tyres. Without doubt the worst eating experience of my entire life. Truly revolting ! 🤮

Rude delivery driver !!!!!!!!!!!!! He complained to me (the customer) that he had to drive 15 miles for a free delivery that wasn’t worth his while. I ordered from a third party site which said free delivery, how was I to know. As he approached I actually had my hand in my pocket for a tip.

Shop owner confirmed they serve halal food, it was fresh and delicious.

If your visiting don't order from here. Food was well below standard and they can't even get the chips right! Kids went hungry as we binned it. It was not even eadible. Advice to all, don't order from here although it helped the wifes constipation!

Ordered food over 2 hours ago called to see how long it would be. And was told 5 mins. Half a hour later foorld turned up.. they forgot half the order. My children didn't get there food.it was freezing cold and a car with 2 men and a child turned up making me feel very scared. Ask for extra large kebab. Paid £20 and got a small kebab for the price. Very very disappointed.. i will never again use this place. Avoid!!!!

I ordered online and had trouble using my card to pay. When I went to the shop to collect my order and asked for help with the website the owner was really rude and shouted at me in front of other customers. He wouldn't help me with the website and left my order on the counter getting cold. I ended up leaving hungry and got some much nicer food from somewhere else. Unfortunately, due to this bad experience I will never eat from this place again.

Kabab was tasty but i ask the guy can i have 2 large shish kabab and for kid some nugats and chips and i seen 8 nugats and chips £7 so i ask him can i get but he say no you have buy seprat and i was in hurry bec i had 3 hr jurny i said ok fine just give me some nugates and chips for kids then i seen they do kids meal for £5 4 nugates and chips and drink so i askd him can i get instead and he say no you still need to buy seprat any way i didnt had time to argues so i payd £25 which mean they doing day robing to force you buy seprat i askd all the slade and sause but they only put salad but the food tast it nice but they want ur money more so when you go they make sure take extra cash with u

Order placed. Pizza ordered with no cheese as makes partner ill. Turned up with bit's of cheese on. Rang up and they then picked the pizza up and the delivery driver said it was his fault he delivered the wrong pizza. The shop then rang asking what was wrong as there was no cheese on it and being very rude. If there was no cheese why did the driver say he delivered the wrong one. Very rude customer service. Delivery driver couldn't apologise enough

Made a phone order last night and they did it wrong we phoned up to complain and the guy on the phone was so rude and wouldn’t have it that they had done it wrong and didn’t even offer to replace it just put the phone down

I was a regular customer to this place. they messed up my order I phoned up to complain and explain after they had a stroppy attitude and trying to blame me for the order mess up I was told I would get redelivered What Was Missing and it never turned up!!!! I will never go to this place again. I feel really disappointed by them. if they can't be asked to rectify their mess and/or there mistakes and satisfy their customers they don't deserve to have a shop. really disappointed.

We went there tonight about 10 pm.. Adked for chicken donna kebab and burger sauce.. Plus lamb kebab with chilli sauce.. When we got home.. We found.. Lamb kebab with burger sauce and chicken donna with chilli sauce.. So both of us couldn't eat it.. We went to bed hungry.. Extremely disappointed.. The person at the desk..did didn't listen to us.! We paid over £12 for the meals.. I rang to complain..and asked for a delivery for the right meals.. Can't be done he said.. Come tomorrow to sort it out..! Dreadful service... dreadful meals.. I'm now wondering.. Will it be sorted properly..!!! We don't expect this treatment in Penzance..!! I cannot recommend.. Beware...

Absolutely disgusting I wouldn't even give it a 1 star... Ordered a small doner kebab last night.. Doner meat was peppery has hell never had this problem with any other doner meat i had before.. They swamp the meat in loads of sauce and there stingy on the salad only ate a couple of mouthfulls and binned it what a waste of £5. Was ill during the night and still feeling rough today.. Never buying from there again. Best place to get a kebab is from Ali Baba at least everything is separate and no soggy pitta bread.. AVOID

Ordered 2 small mixed foner kababs with garlic mayo and with a pot of chilli sauce,asked for pitta to be separate, received a swamp of grease with no pitta bread and a tomato puree with chilli powder in, will never order from there again

Awful I had the chicken donner meat and chips it made me sick. Robbed me of my change. My partner rung up to complain and all he said to him was 'piss off' and he put phone down on my partner. Great customer service skills not. We will not be going there ever again.
