Good food and friendly staff, the prices are great value for money with plenty of food. We will be back again on our next trip.

Excellent lunch stop. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good decent pots of tea. Our sandwiches were the best on our holiday. All at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend

Whilst recently staying in the area we visited this cafe on several occasions & each time we were served by different members of staff who all accommodated our large family & dogs & mobility scooter with no problem. We had breakfasts lunches &snacks all perfect for a very reasonable price. If I return to the area I would definitely return &highly recommended. Thank you for looking after us.

Wandered around Bowness looking for somewhere for lunch, lots of places but seemed expensive. Spotted this place and checked menu, looked OK friendly waitress, quick service. Drinks delivered very quickly and soon followed by lovely food I had the big breakfast, was all fresh, nicely presented and good sized portions etc Proper bacon, thick...non of this minimalist see-through bacon Tables were being cleared and cleaned speedily Nice find, recommended

Called for breakfast and had to wait outside as had the dog with us. We had ordered teas and the kind gentleman brought us a full tea pot to drink whilst waiting for our take out sandwiches. Very kind, excellent service and delicious food! Thank you!!

We’ve been coming here for over 10 years and it has always been brilliant. Over time, we have seen how “touristy” some cafes/restaurants have gotten in Bowness and thankfully, Alpine has remained true to its roots of fantastic, traditional food at reasonable prices. We will continue to go for our weekly breakfast for the next 10 years too!

Ordered the feta, olive and tomato salad for my lunch, trying to opt for a healthier option (husband had a panini). The lovely waiter placed it in front of me and I wish I'd have sent it back immediately. It was a plate full of iceberg lettuce with a few strands of red cabbage, topped with feta, olives and sliced tomatoes. Nothing else. My husband's side salad had grated carrot, cucumber, celery, onion and grapes, as well as the iceberg and tomatoes that I had. Considering my meal was a salad, I would have expected more actual salad items than just lettuce. Very disappointed to have paid £9.20 for a plate full of lettuce.

The staff here were excellent, very welcoming, especially to pur 3 year old. Brught a selection of books for him with some smaller sized cutlery and engaged with him too. Food came with a fresh side salad and portions sizes were very decent.

Excellent little food stop, the food was spot on and great value for money compared to the rest of the restaurants and cafes in Windermere. We actually took a full chicken/bacon baguette away because the portions were huge, staff were brilliant and we would definitely recommend this place, CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE👍👍

We had 3 lovely meals here, ranging from a panini to ham and eggs. Everything was fresh and really tasty and very reasonable when you look round at some of the other options. friendly service as well. Would definitely go again.

Nice little find amongst all the bustling streets. Staff were very friendly and polite, they came and asked if everything was ok with the meal, to which we said it was. The menu choices were pretty good, and the food was great. Will definitely come back!

Had a very average basic breakfast here,sat outside, uncomfortable because the chairs are too low for the tables.The staff were not particularly friendly just polite really. Good point was plenty of tea. Definitely not going back because of the seating.

Popped in with my family for lunch, we weren't disappointed. Food was lovely, generous portions. Staff were attentive without being too much. Nice and clean throughout. 2 adult meals, kids meal and 3 drinks for well under £30. Will definitely return when next in the area.

Not the fanciest place but friendly staff and a straightforward menu - toasties, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, chips etc. Banana split was massive! And milkshakes too.

No se hizo ningún esfuerzo por desinfectar la mesa. Los menús estaban en papel en un portapapeles y se reutilizaban, por lo que no se podían mantener limpios. Sat down for 10 minutes in an empty cafe in a busy Windermere.. still nobody came over and asked for order.

A primera vista, el precio de un desayuno completo es razonable (7,50), pero pronto se da cuenta de que no es así. 2 salchichas baratas increíbles y 2 rebanadas muy grasosas de tocino, pero los huevos, las tostadas y los frijoles estaban bien. Sin embargo, no hay champiñones, tomate a la plancha o croquetas de patata a la vista. El servicio fue bueno aunque lento.

Walked past a few overpriced cafes and restaurants and stumbled across this place! Cosy and friendly... I had the bacon, cheese and chicken baguette with a huge salad it was delicious... How does the chef get thf bacon so crispy! My partner had the large breakfast and he thought it was super tasty and generous, might add it wasn't greasy either. Defo recommend for a nice spot of grub.

Can't review this cafe because they wouldn't allow our very quiet Jack Russell through the door even though the place was completely empty.

After dropping the car off at the local garage for a service early doors thought I would treat myself to a breakfast. That’s were the problem begins, trying to find somewhere open early in the morning was really hard going until I came across The Alpine, a warm smile, friendly chat and the full breakfast wasn’t too bad either.
