Alpes in Lambeth

Popped in freezing cold on way to Brixton academy and had a lovely warm bowl of potatoes with bacon in a white warm and raclette sauce. Perfect winter food to warm me up, and had a great Swiss beer to go with it, and very good value. Staff were amazing, and very friendly. Highly recommended, would defintely return!

Loved the food and service was very friendly. Pop Brixton is an alternative market built in old shipping containers. We enjoyed the experience much more than expected.

We visited for relatives' birthdays, and everyone in our party liked cheese... which is probably just as well ;) But we also had lovely starters and really good desserts. The duck croquettes are amazingly tasty and not nearly as bulked out with potato as we might have expected. We had the Lincolnshire Poacher fondue which was amazing -- scrape off the crispy bits from the bottom, folks, they're some of the nicest! Definitely worth a visit, although I understand they're closing in December 2019 - great shame.

What started out as a wee drinkie after work ended up being such a fab experience! Went to the nearby Pop location & sought refuge in this cute 1st floor restaurant, which is bijoux, but so cosy (with blankets aplenty, plus an outdoor area - with a huge parasol & heaters!) Those really helped with the weather, which was meh, but what a perfect setting to enjoy yummy melted cheese, deep-fried olives & other innovative fare, washed down with delicious cocktails & a rather quaffable Austrian Red! The staff are 1st class, we had lots of fun with the varying weather & their intuitive service was great! All made for a wonderful, if ad hoc, outing (& a good way to celebrate a dear friend’s special birthday - who kept it rather quiet!) Thank you, Alpes - for a memorable evening!

Checked this place out on a Friday night and was blown away by the food. Four of us shared a fondue that was an absolute delight came with garlic potato, bread and pickles for dipping all went very well with it. Staff were very kind and friendly brought us over blankets to keep warm outside. Would recommend Alpes for a great meal with friends and can’t wait to eat there again.

Had a lovely family meal with a fab bottle of wine and the food was delicious - especially the cheese fondue! Really great atmosphere and cute little spot for all occasions!

Myself and my girlfriend ate here just before christmas. Food was awesome, deep fried olives were my favorite. Staff were super friendly. Great atmosphere and a great place will go again next time i visit London!

Went after a concert and stumbled across this beaut of a place... cheese for days with super strength garlic and super friendly staff made for a great visit!

Great chilled out vibe, with a great selection of beers to complement the superb cheese based meals for which we went for!

Everything about this place is mega; the food is outstanding, delicious and well priced with an epic Alpine twist. The vibe is warm and lively and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. A great evening!

This pop up restaurant in Brixton is amazing. Authentic mountain food. The raclette with all the trimmings was delicious. Friendly service and a great atmosphere.

We only managed to order a starter when we were told ‘we are a restaurant: if you want to keep this table you’ll have to eat or drink more’. We were clearly taken aback. Did she expect us to order 5 drinks at once? Is it not normal to START with something smaller before a main? Unnecessary attitude (especially given it’s in a shipping container) Anyway, we hurriedly paid £18 for 2 glasses of wine and 4 croquettes.

The fondue was brilliant and the service top notch but a mulled wine was £7.50, as was a glass of house wine. Fondue was £16-18 per person. I'm from London as well so this is not regional angst at London prices. They have admirably wood-panelled...

We fell on this place as our usual favourite pizza eatery was closed on a Monday . What a find !! A quirky surrounding with great fondue and garlic new potatoes to die for plus lovely wine. Great service , we will be back x

Wonderful restaurant. I grew up in the Italian Alpes, and really enjoyed the cosy and friendly atmosphere of this place, it reminds me of home. We had a lovely evening and will definitely be going back.

Had a fab night out at Alpes this evening. Great service and great atmosphere. Food was top notch. Recommend the deep fried olives and fondue. Yummy. Great viewing spot overlooking crowds atPop Brixton an added bonus.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. The cheese fondue was exquisite and the non alcoholic cocktails were divine. The little wood cabin brought back many happy memories of skiing while eating lots of cheese. We will be back.

Came here with my family for my dad's birthday meal. We had a great time sharing a Fondue, Raclette and the delicious Asparagus/hummus/pesto. Knocked back a snazzy gin-prosecco-elderflower combo and chatted to the lovely staff. Perfect!

Tried a selection of the menu and it was all very good. The raclette and the asparagus were highlights. Good wine and beer selection and probably the nicest spot in POP Brixton. Very friendly, accommodating team who work there.

My girlfriend and I had been looking for a raclette restaurant to open somewhere in London and came across Alpes. The food was excellent and service even better. Would definitely go again.
