Aloha in East Riding of Yorkshire

First of all, loved the food, tasty and filling, However, I didnt feel like I got enough for the price, had the Chimichanga and asked for the nightmare heat expecting it to be hot and was the most mild heat id ever had, maybe they forgot to add the chilli? Loved the drinks, starters where fantastic and my wifes food was better than mine by a long shot, I guess maybe it was just just an off day.

We ate here last weekend while staying in Bridlington for the bank holiday weekend. We booked a table in advance as the restaurant is usually very busy. We both ordered burgers which come with a variety of sides to choose from. The food was lovely and we both really enjoyed our meals.

Having been here a few times on previous holidays we booked again as some of our party hadn’t been and we had always had a good meal. Orders were taking and there was a short wait for starters to arrive only a few of the party had starters. There was a quite a wait then for the main courses it was over 1hr 20 mins from being seated. Food when arrived was nice but have had much nicer here. I have ribs as they are my favourite they needed more sauce on them though. The seasoned fries to accompany them weren’t really very nice just tasted like cheap frozen ones and definitely not seasoned. We did notice from previous visits how much the prices had gone up some meals at around £25. sadly due to the price increases it make it an expensive meal out and i am not sure we would return

We absolutely loved the mixed platter that we shared. The meat selection was fab and was all cooked to perfection and incredibly tasty. Also have to give the staff a special mention as they were incredibly helpful as one of our party may have had a few too many. They ensured we got a taxi, and discreetly helped us take her outside via the back entrance. They went above and beyond. We will definitely return and ensure we haven’t had quite so much to drink next time 😂

Went here Saturday night and had a really nice tasty meal. My starter was the Mussels with Chorizo and must say its one of the best Mussel dishes I have had in years it was absolutely delicious. For main I opted for the Mex Burger. Again this was very tasty. If I'm ultra critical the chill con carne sauce was rather dry rather than an actual sauce. Which made the whole dish a bit dry. But as I say the taste was delicious and that is the reason I have still given it a high score. And it would not put me off returning. Let's face it all chefs can have an off day. And I should have pointed it out earlier. Also the meal was great value, Less than £30 for a 2 course meal and a pint of Madri. I'd certainly recommend you give it a try

Tasty food and good service, but unfortunately we were seated next to children’s play area. Moved half way through our meal to a quieter area. Really disappointed as we had expected better as had seen great reviews. Recommend requesting a window table.

We called here on a Tuesday evening in February. The place was really busy but the staff were really accommodating to fit us in. They were concerned as there would be a large party next to us but to be honest it added to the atmosphere. The food was great and the staff were super. I have no complaints and we had an enjoyable evening.

It has to be said that Bridlington in March (and I suspect other times of the year too, given how much we scoured the restaurant listings) isn't exactly brimming over with great restaurants or eateries that are actually open. It was with great relief therefore that we visited Aloha on the seafront. From the outset, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The decor is warm, informal and fun. There's an extensive menu of steaks and Mexican dishes and portion sizes are extremely generous - they should come with a certificate of congratulations if, like me, you manage to clear your plate! Well cooked, well presented fayre - precisely what we needed. Thank you for being open, having availability and serving up some great food. Other Bridlington businesses: take note!

Everything about this place is incredible. The food was absolutely unreal, I got the southern fried chicken and half rack of ribs and the ribs were the nicest I’ve ever had. Staff are amazing and happy to help with anything. Recommend this place any day of the week:)

We really love the new decor you feel like your on holiday in there. The staff are exceptional and really make you feel at home. The waitress was very attentive offering fresh cutlery and finger wipes with the wings. The team all paid great attention to hygiene ensuring all customers used sanitizer etc but in a really polite way. The food had the same great attention to detail as the service. The nachos have cheese all the way through not just the top and the meat was tender and flavourful. All dishes were presented beautifully.We will definitely be back.

Chose here because of the reviews, they do not lie the food was excellent, large portions and great service. A word of caution the belly buster easily feeds two, I would say three and I have a heathy appetite. Would definitely recommend.

My friend and I treated ourselves to a meal here at 4pm on a Wednesday as I'm nervous about eating out when it's busy, but we've been wanting to eat here for ages. And it exceeded all expectations. It was clean,bright, very well organised, relaxed and the food was delicious. I had the Hawaaiian seafood, which had a gorgeous lime marinade; my friend had the beef & ribs, which were the ultimate in tenderness. We're going back today, each to have the other's dish! And it's such good value - you won't need to eat for several days afterwards!

Booked a table for 2, booking was easy. We ordered the Belly Buster, which was for 2 to share but the food was enough for 4 people, easily. Not only the meal was substantial, but the quality was also good. The Chicken wings and rack of ribs had good amount of meat on them. The ribs also had nice smokey flavor. The sweet potato fries had salt flakes on, which enhanced the sweet flavor and added a little crunch to the fries. Also happy with the Covid-19 measure implemented, plenty of hand santizer in various spots and tables in our area was located with good distance between them. The staff are friendly and efficient.

Visited Aloha because we had been in on a trip to Bridlington a few years back and really enjoyed the Waikiki chicken (there aren't that many Hawaiian restaurants around!). When we looked at the menu however my partner found the 'Tummy Buster' for 2, that offered both ribs (her favourite) and steak (mine).When we ordered we were told that not everyone could eat it all, I laughed because few restaurants have ever challenged my appetite. When it arrived we couldn't believe it. A steak, half a chicken, a load of wings, two big burgers, a rack of ribs, fries and wedges in a huge pile (plus a really creamy coleslaw and sweetcorn) all for under £25 for the two of us (what's more it was happy hour so it was 20% off this!).It was absolutely delicious as well, with really tasty sauces. Despite this we could only eat half, so they took the rest and put it into foil takeaway trays for us, with cooking instructions so we could reheat it and eat the rest the next night and it still tasted good. Added to this was the great view of the bay from the window, and very helpful and attentive staff.All in all I can honestly say we have not had an eating experience as good as this for years if ever. If you like BBQ, Mexican, or Hawaiian food this is the only place I would go in the area.

Last time I came to Bridlington this restaurant wasn’t ready to open so I was very happy to see it was open on my return. I visited Bridlington with family for an overnight stay and booked in at Aloha. We were greeted by friendly staff who made sure we sanitised and completed our Covid info. We all commented on how safe we felt within the restaurant. The food is on another level. My partner is a trained chef and loved every bit of it. We had starters, mains and desserts and couldn’t fault anything! Well worth a visit and we will be returning!

Had a table booked. We’d planned to have a walk around Bridlington before arriving but the town was so packed and there was no social distancing to be seen. As such, we arrived at Aloha a couple of hours earlier as we weren’t comfortable outside. This was no trouble and we were shown to a table straight away.Plenty of hand sanitizer dispensers around. One at entry plus another on the way into the hallway for the toilets.Food was very nice. Both had Tahiti strips as a starter followed by ribs and aloha chicken. We did end up leaving about 2 thirds of our mains but that was on us for over ordering when we weren’t as hungry as we would of been if we’d turned up for our original booking time.All the staff were very friendly. Bridlington itself wasn’t for us but aloha is definitely worth stopping at for food.

We had been told to give the Aloha a try by a local bar. The food was tasty and cooked to perfection. I had bbq ribs which were amazing, I can definitely recommend giving them a try. Staff were friendly The restaurant was spotlessly clean.

Went there for dinner we were sat by the toilets. Staff doesn't wear masks and the restaurant wasn't clearly marked for social distancing. The tables by the toilets are a bit too close to be Covid safe. Service was good at start but it got worse as the restaurant got busier. We ordered the belly buster for main and it was a massive portion, we were only able to eat half of it - we'd recommend it as it's good value for money and you can ask for a doggy bag to have it packed. Halfway through our meal, a group of 5 people who knew the owner were sat to the table next to us. They were given all the attention whereas we were made to wait for a drink for half an hour. Nobody bothered to ask whether we were enjoying our meal. I called the waitress shouting from across the restaurant just to ask for a drink as this was the only way I could get somebody's attention. We then decided to stay for just another drink and order no dessert (we were set to get dessert the cheesecake sounded so nice!). Then, after asking our waitress twice to pack our remaining food she came to our table and said 'I'm busy, you know?' and then chucked an aluminium take away tray at me to pack the food - with no cutlery and no service (didn't think at a restaurant you'd need to pack your own food with your bare hands but I guess here you have to). Rude service, we'll never bother again. Shame it had good reviews and nice views over the sea. They couldn't made an extra £30 if we had ordered dessert and another drink - their loss I guess.

AMAZING. The best food I’ve eaten In a looong time, We ordered the Nachos sharer, Ribs, Wings & Breaded prawns to start. All incredibly well presented and so full of flavour, I ordered the Salmon & Prawns in white wine sauce for my main and again without being repetitive it was incredible. So fresh and tasty. I was so full but could not leave a single bite! Everyone else At my table was happy with their mains too.It’s a shame I live 3 hours away. But it’s definitely bringing us back to Bridlington. The service was also lovely & everything was reasonably priced.

I was starting to struggle to find places to eat. Did not want fish n chips of which there were countless. Place in town had already stopped cooking. 18:30. After a failed attempt somewhere else we tried here.Got a table, great staff friendly and attentive. Not our usual type of cuisine but order something off the specials and one of the main menu to share.Took a bit longer than I would have expected to come out, but worth the wait. Fresh, hot, nicely presented and more than enough. Represented good value.

Been eating here for years whenever we go to Bridlington we called again Sunday and was very disappointed with the food. It’s gone from being fantastic to just ok. We felt that a lot of corners had been cut and cheaper ingredients used. Portion size on the nacho starter to share was a joke gone from being a plateful to a small bowl to share. When I questioned this I was told they were cutting back on some things?? I won’t be rushing back.

At last a place that advertises cocktails and know how to make them. Went here last bank holiday weekend, after booking ahead. Really nice place, great food. The three girls serving all worked very hard to keep the food coming and everyone’s drink topped up, I was very impressed.My wife’s Strawberry Daquiri was one of the best she has had for ages.Pay this place a visit, light airy and a sea view. Staff were really friendly and were making sure tables were cleaned properly. There weren't many other people in the restaurant, but we had to wait a while for our drinks and starter, and then ages for our main - we had both ordered enchilada which don't take long to make. We had to chase up the order and when it came it was really overcooked - the rice was quite mushy and the enchilada were hard. Really disappointing after waiting all that time. We did mention it to the waitress but she just said sorry and carried on serving other people.
