I called in on Thursday just after 1200 opening time; ordered a "This is Liverpool" Burger; washed down with a Vanilla Milkshake. Both the Burger and Milkshake hit the spot - quantity and flavours in good supply - will definitely visit again.

Boss burgers, and their Hot AF tenders rock.

We thought it was great when we arrived until our burger got to our table and the beef was pink, I know you can eat steak pink but burgers should be cooked thoroughly, we now have a house full of upset stomachs, not what you expect when spending £50 for 2 burgers and 2 cocktails

Visited here last time we were in Liverpool and must say it was a highlight of the trip. Delicious cocktails and amazing food but unfortunately the prices have been increased quite a bit since we last visited in November 2023 which did put a slight dampner on the meal. We got the Hot Af Blasts and Pig & Waffle Fries for dinner and cherry bomb cocktails.

Music blaring, not good for conversation. Food lovely as always.

I am shocked and horrified by the actions of the manager who cut up my card, citing company policy after just one hour because I forgot to pay. It was a genuine mistake that we forgot to pay. The allegations made by the staff at this restaurant are appalling. To accuse me of using a stolen card and intentionally walking out without paying is deeply upsetting. Mistakes happen, and it’s important to recognize that some individuals have neurodiverse conditions that can lead to forgetting tasks. When you're reconnecting with a friend you haven't seen in ages, it's easy to become absorbed in the moment and lose track of time. I am disgusted by the manager's decision to cut up my card and their ill-mannered attitude. This behavior is completely unacceptable. They have left me in distress with no card now.

It is an absolutely monstrosity the way my friend's personal belongings were handled due to a simple mistake at Almost Famous Liverpool. My friend is neurodiverse, and, as a society we must ensure equality and diversity is taken into consideration on a consistent basis. It is evident that it wasn't within this restaurant due to a simple mistake. My friend is very forgetful due to being neurodiverse and innocently forgot to pay for his food before leaving the restaurant yesterday. He had accidentally left his debit card at the restaurant upon leaving the building. Once my friend realised that he hadn't paid, he panicked and returned to the restaurant to pay immediately. Upon arrival, a manager communicated with him to inform him, quite rudely, that they had cut up his card and stated that if a customer doesn't return back within the hour, it is 'company policy' to 'cut up' somebodies debit card. Now, my friend was understandably shocked and taken back by this inconvenience and asked to see the card, to which it was in the bin. There was no apology whatsoever from the manager. This has had an impact on my friend and he has now had to order a new card due to a stranger destroying one of his belongings - this is extremely concerning. I am alarmed by this reaction, as there should be an element of comfort and safety when you leave your home to dine out somewhere. However, this has concluded in destroying one of my friend's belongings, which was a simple mistake. I must query as to why, rather than cutting up the card, my friend wasn't contacted by phone or email. I will never in my life be eating at Almost Famous myself, after being informed about this experience. This is very, very poor and I would like to see this supposed 'policy' please. Be aware, folks.

Bottomless was amazing, had an amazing time, great value for money service was incredible and staff dealt really well with allergies. Would go back again

First time for me. Some of the family had been before and said good things. But... wow. The atmosphere was really cool. Takes were set really well, so they were not too close to each other. The service from Millily was great. Perfect attention, not too much, and not too little. The food is stunning and huge in portions. We all had our own burger choice, with some customising the extra bits. We had all sides to share, and they were all so flavoursome and big. All the food was hot and it all came out together. Will definitely be going back.

Walked in for a table of four. Seated quickly which was great, then no service for 20 minutes so left. This was at 3pm in the afternoon on 3/8.

Kaitlen really looked after us tonight. My wife and I brought our children to surprise about our summer holiday to NYC, props and cakes were brought out at the end and we can’t thank Kaitlen enough , the food was on another level, after here we have decided that this is the ONLY place you can eat a burger, everything else is just insignificant!!

Do you like bacon? Do you like bacon crisps? Do you love frazzels? There's a phoenix burger for u! Never had such a bacony burger in my life. Shake was great and the boss fries were amazing, pretty spot on. Gotta admit I got meat sweats after. Shake was a bit overflowing but maybe wasn't fast enough, good selection of alcoholic drinks too Staff are friendly and helpful. Attentive and always about Music was good selection Funnily enough Japanese city pop was played too. Anyways great place to dine and have a hearty burger. Paid £26.30 little pricy but worth it.

The Liverpool special burger was delicious and so were the bacon fries - they certainly didn't skimp on the bacon like a lot of places do. Service was friendly and fast.

The atmosphere in the resturant is amazing, it a very relaxed casual place. The servers are great and very attentive to your needs. The food was absolutly amazing and for the price the protion sizes were massive. The burgers had so much flavour, were juicy and the frinks were great. I had the Awesome HQ Burger which was full of flavour. Its is a very good place to go on a date or for food without going somewhere were you have to dress up smart or fancy.

Had a great experience here last weekend. We had a large group of 18 and we went for the bottomless brunch. The staff were excellent and took really good care of us making sure our drink were topped up and everyone was happy. Food was all perfect and couldn't have been better. Highly recommend for a hen or stag or large group. Thank you to all the staff. It's not always easy with a group that size and couldn't have asked for more

The food was cold however the manager ensured we were given some new chips which were piping hot alongside a free round. Other than being cold the food was exceptional and the service was brilliant. Will come again 11/10

We initally wanted to go to another place for late lunch but sacked it off and came across this little gem of a restraunt. Good atmosphere in there mysoc playing busy enough. We got the loaded fries to share were to die for, got the liverpool special burger and a biscoff milkshake. Not had a burger like that in a long time full of flavour and the beef was so tasty 10/10. Mrs got another burger and she doesn't tend to eat much but she ate everything 🤣 We will definitely be coming back sooner rather than later, 10/10 for service by all staff too, even charged my phone for me 👌👌

A* Burgers 🍔 and loaded fries. Well worth a visit if you're hungry, and love Burgers!!! Great feel inside, can't really comment on atmosphere, as we went quite late and only a few in. I can imagine most lunchtimes it buzzing with people!!! Definitely will be paying "Almost Famous" another visit next time we've in Liverpool.

It was quiet when we went, but to be honest, it made it nice to be able to chill with my friend while we ate and chatted. Without pressure of people waiting for a table.

This place is my favorite whenever I'm in Liverpool. I started with the pho-king (hot teriyaki) wings, and seriously, it's the best teriyaki sauce I've ever had. The only downside is the wings are pretty small. I got the Phoenix burger and Phoenix fries next. The flavors are off the charts, with every bite tasting different. You get the heat from the red chilis, the sweetness from the JD maple glaze, smokiness from the bacon, and the crunch from the shoestring onions and frazzle dust. The three different sauces and all the ingredients just blend perfectly. You can tell they've really nailed the flavor combos. The burger patties are delicious and smashed just right. I always make a point to come to AF when I'm in Liverpool because the food is amazing.

I’ve been a frequent customer of Almost Famous for years at this point (it’s my go-to birthday spot!). I love the food there, so when they started Bottomless Brunch I was there for one of the first weekends it was offered. I’ve attended for 3 bottomless brunches since the offer was introduced. Previously, it was great value for money, you would receive Mac and cheese balls & chicken wings (to share), one burger and one fries per person, as well as unlimited alcoholic/soft drinks in a 90 minute period. It seems that AF have made some changes since the inception of the offer, since during this visit I noticed that they’ve actually removed the Mac and cheese balls and the number of wings you receive has been reduced significantly. To top this off, the cocktails on offer are no longer garnished, and compared to my previous visits they seem considerably weaker alcohol-wise (I drank more of these cocktails today than I ever have in the previous two visits and barely feel tipsy). Granted, the staff are on the ball with getting you additional rounds of drinks, but honestly it doesn’t really matter if the drinks on offer are using smaller measures. Overall the quality has diminished and the offering value has been reduced, but the price they charge has remained the same - this is the main issue. All in all it was a let down of a visit this time. It seems that AF realised their BB offer was a bit too lucrative and have silently made some changes to cut costs. For this reason, I can’t really recommend paying £40 for a bottomless brunch at AF. I’d recommend going elsewhere. The only saving grace is that their food is great - but my birthday experience was soured by their ‘tightening of the purse strings’. A final note: AF have seemingly started automatically adding a service charge to bills. The wait staff pointed it out on the bill, but in my opinion it's a predatory tactic which puts those who may suffer from a bit of social anxiety in an awkward position. Service charges/tips should be voluntarily offered by the customer for good service rather than automatically added, forcing the customer to ask for it to be removed. I don't recall this being a thing when I last visited, but I could be wrong on that!

Delicious food, best burger I've had, the boss chips were amazing!

The food is excellent however the service was incredibly poor. Attending on a Sunday, we walked up and asked for a table or to book and I was sent away. I then was able to book online turned up and was given a significant amount of attitude due to having a table of 7, the resturant was empty. Food was just thrown on the table and the item was not explaned leaving us having to work out whose food was who. When paying we excluded the service charge due to the comments made by staff and further attitude was provided. Huge shame given how nice the food was, Manchester was much better.

A very nice surprise Modern and refresing decoration was already a nice surprise when we arrived, but the best of all was the quality of the burgers. An interesting choice of very unconventional burgers that were delicious !

Me and my pals , all went to uni in liverpool and fancied a rekindle , we were skeptical as to how this would go as bottomless brunch was new here. That being said , we had the most fantastic time , the service made us feel like we were at home again , every essence of the life of living in Liverpool was brought back to our days. Needless to say , this place and specifically the bartender , I think her name was Catrin (I’m not sure how to spell it) really made us feel like we were young again , her energy , her charisma and especially her dance moves were exceptional, she is fantastic , she kept the vibe alive and I couldn’t request anymore. The food was great , the vibe was amazing , and the service . Where should I start and where should I end ? I couldn’t tell but if you want to know … request Catrin . She is magnificent !!! Thankyou for the best reunion and Saturday we could have prayed for !!!

Got a delivery... Now I've been going to five guys to which I thought was pretty expensive and fancied a change. Wanted to try this for some time and finally gave it a go, and I didn't regret it. Fantastic food, at a good price. I got their big hQ burger and it was packed, double party, double halloumi, double chicken... And a box of bacon fries Incredible feast! I'm also pretty obsessed with the awesome looking packaging it comes in!

We went on a Sat evening after a football game, 2 adults and 2 children, whilst the bill seemed steep at £90 the food and service were great. Kaitlin served us and was very clear with menu items, the kids options, WiFi password and making sure we were OK. The milkshakes were huge! And the burgers so tasty, but my stand out was the bacon bacon fries. Would definitely have on the list for future Liverpool visits.

We had two great burgers. This might be a burger place. Fierce amount of sauce in the burger. Great fries. Everyone was sound. Only thing missing was three points. It has toilets and tap water.

First impression was sticky nasty menus. At £14.50 the burger was tasty but expensive considering it didn't come with fries. The bun disintegrated before I could finish eating the burger. I had to finish with a knife and fork witch isn't the best when served on paper in a plastic basket. It was tasty though it didn't fill me up.

I'm very picky when it comes to burgers, I don't like soggy buns, burgers or toppings dripping with grease, but here, it wasn’t like that. I took the „ butter, blood & bleu” burger and it was delicious, the pepper sauce had a nice spicy kick, the burger had a nice taste, toppings weren't greasy and everything fit together nicely. I will definitely come back here

I had the butter, blood and bleu burger. It was very nice and big!. Steak was easy to eat not chewy. The peppercorn sauce is creamy and not too strong, works well with the burger. I have been here several times, always a good burger. Dirty fries are the best I've ever had. During Easter kids ate for a fiver which is excellent value considering the portion size and quality. If you love a good burger you won't be disappointed visiting here.

We went with our two kids on a Saturday night whilst visiting for the weekend and had a lovely time. Burgers were fresh and tasty and service was relaxed and friendly. Would definitely recommend for a delicious non fuss meal.

Burgers are really small, even the biggest one. Chip portions are big 1 between 2 would be fine. Went at 8:30 and music was really loud, if you want a quiet meal definitely not the place, for drinks and food it's good.

Went to almost famous today with my partner and kids. Would highly recommend for any burger lover. As always the food was amazing, the staff was lovely always checking if we needed anything. The place was very busy but nothing was too much trouble for the staff special shout out to Kaitlin who served us today she is a credit to the place

Popped into Almost Famous for a quick drink & a bite to eat & straight away the look & feel of the place was good. Music playing & a nice atmosphere. We were shown to a table upstairs, ordered our drinks & ordered salt & Pepper chips & phoenix fries as well. My phoenix flies weren't too bad, seemed to be loaded with peppers, onions sauce, etc, but some of it tasted a bit on the cool side for some reason. My wife had the salt & pepper chips, which wasn't what she expected (I don't think she wanted all the sauce & onions on top!) So she didn't eat hers. When she mentioned this to the girl who came round later, the response was just to say "Sorry", nothing else. Overall, maybe it might be somewhere we think twice about next time.

Initially looked funky and welcoming however food poor and tasted awful. Total waitress who walked off and ignored comment. Added to that a service charge was added to bill which we didn't notice til we had paid! Asked if this was advertised anywhere to which she replied ' oh I think so not sure' and again walked off! Poor service, Poor food and wouldn't recommend. Shame as we wanted to try something new, we did and would say go elsewhere.

Wanted to try their burger as seen some good reviews! Honestly it was a bit disappointing- we tried the phoenix burger, (£13 for a small burger)! would expect a place that specialises in burgers to check how the customer wants their burger cooked! The patties were well done! Nothing extraordinary, it was seasoned well! Another let down were the fries, we ordered the bacon bacon fries and we were served vegan bacon fries ( not even sure what that means) and we were charged full price for the bacon! When we seen the bill that’s when we realised that they served us vegan bacon fries instead of bacon bacon fries which we ordered! The server even came to clarify the order and I corrected her it’s bacon bacon but we still ended up with the wrong order! Another small thing we had requested the server to get the burger sliced in half, but that was not noted - a small Thing which can be overlooked but sometimes it’s about attention to detail that gets you the brownie points! We mentioned this while paying the bill, the lady was polite and just apologised and moved on charging us the full price! The place has a nice atmosphere and vibe overall !

Myself and my partner came here last night for our dinner and oh my god literally Deeeelicious. Honestly the best burger I think I have ever had. I got the ‘Butter, Blood, and Bleu’ which was amazing, the bits of steak were so tender and the blue cheese sauce was so good and not overpowering. I got the pig & Waffle fries and the pulled pork was so good, I literally can’t say how unreal it was, if I lived here I’d never be away. Partner got the ‘Triple Nom’ burger and the bacon bacon fries which she said were great. We also got some ‘Blasts’ which are their version of tenders and legitimately they were so tasty, drenched in a Smokey BBQ and with a blue cheese dip which honestly, is a combo made in heaven. The place itself is funky as hell with a graffiti style urban feel, loved it. 10/10 & will return. Staff were friendly and helpful. They also had a deal on for half price burgers meaning all our food only came to £37! Recommend to anyone who likes burgers, and anyone who doesn’t!!

Had the Triple Nom burger with Phoenix fries and it was amazing we also got a side of chicken strips with the bbq sauce. The burger was honestly one of the nicest burgers I’ve ever had and the chicken was amazing. The waitress was friendly enough and we didn’t have to wait long at all for the food to arrive

Nice food but one star knocked off as food arrived cold. Went during January when they're doing a promotion of 50% off burgers which makes it better value, otherwise potentially expensive (£12-14 for a burger which doesn't include chips).

My mum asked for a mocktail and asked to make sure It was a mocktail, she recieved her drink and had a sip out of the drink and realised her blood pressure went very high her face swelled and throat started to close over to which followed her to suffer to breath properly. No one approached us with first aid. No staff member or manager asked if we needed an ambulance and left us to deal with the situation ourself in there restaurant. The manager didn’t approach my mum to see if she was ok or needed anything. We didn’t get an apology and just had a rude reply of the manager who came across as not caring. We are absolutely disgusted and this restaurant had no clue about first aid or customer service. My mum has an alcohol allergy and the staff didn’t care how serious this could have been or has been for us. This caused my mum to be rushed to hospital.
