Bottomless brunch was amazing. Super quick service and drinks were boss. Kelly our server was really quick with all of our drinks and so friendly.

Had a meal here with my wife today, the totally disinterested bar staff didn't really bother me , even the half hour wait for the food was OK, but honestly it was one of the worst pub meals we've ever had, tasteless hard chicken breast served with lukewarm chips and onion rings that tested the strength of your teeth enamel, they really need to improve, some of the restaurants in nearby bold street are not to different in their lunch time prices and are far superior in service and quality

The food in this place is pretty darn good, even the special offer menu gives you a wide variety of choice and added extras. We were served by Imogen, who was an exemplary member of staff, very polite and courteous, as well as very welcoming. If you are looking for a place to grab a bite to eat, this is definitely worth a visit.

I had the chicken Kaarage sub which was so delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful and the staff really friendly. Imogen was so lovely and welcoming. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Had a lovely time at Hope and Anchor! We came with the University of Liverpool's Pool society. The pub was very accommodating to all of our requirements as a society and the staff made sure to take good care of us while we were there! Drinks were decently priced and the food looked delicious. The 3 pool tables meant we were able to get everyone to play a handful of times before the night was up which left everyone with a big smile on their face. On top of this the outside smoking area was spacious and had heating to keep us from the winter chill. All in all I would definitely recommend this pub! The people and vibes are 10/10

Bottomless brunch! Understaffed , Taking 1 and a half hour for food bearing in mind you get a 2 hour slot! Taking 30 to 40 minutes for drinks! Organisation's need to care of there staff better!!!

AWFUL Bottomless brunch! Drinks were horrendous, tasted vile. Cheap Prosecco, food was okay meh. Took half an hour for drinks to arrive. Not a bottomless, everyone was disgusted around us, unhappy faces on every table. Advertised as a st Patrick’s day theme, only theme was poor management. When we expressed our concerns that our drinks were taking too long, a staff member said “ I only get paid 10£ an hour, I don’t get paid enough for this”. Absolutely ridiculous when we paid nearly 40£ for the bottomless. Eventually some lovely waiter arrived with bottles of Prosecco after an hour. He was the nicest. If it wasn’t for him and our positive attitude the experience would have been ruined. Don’t recommend at all. 😡😡 I am currently mixing my Prosecco with tonic water…

Give 1* because you can’t give 0*. …one drink in 1.5hrs, 2x people finished food before anyone else served (still not been as we type!) ….about 4x tables left while we sat here. DONT DO IT!!! ….updated- just had the ‘food’🤮 or should I say it turned up….DONTTTTTT DO IT

The q at the bar was horrendous, only 2 people serving on the bar before 6, and they were serving the food. They were working very hard so not the workers' fault at all.

Currently in here in a ridiculously busy mother's day/match day and being looked after by a guy named Greg who is making today feel really special and giving us a 10/10 service He's absolutely wonderful, give that man a raise

I booked hope and anchor’s bottomless brunch for 18 of my work colleagues for a hen party! We had a fantastic time! The food was delicious and the service we received from Kelly and Polly was outstanding! Not one of us had a single issue or complaint and we will be booking to come again for our summer night out!

Came here for a bottomless brunch and our sever, Skye, was incredible and very attentive. Definitely worth the money for what you get :)

Booked bottomless brunch for 26 6 weeks ago, paid deposit. When got there no table for us, we were put in sports area as they moved blokes who were there when asked why couldn't go on other side told no room ??? They were high tables with high stool, then told had to wait for everyone to finish drink before gor other, never removed empty glasses, was 2 hour slot, got food 1 hour after arriving basically threw food at us ,never removed any dirty dishes they still on table when left, very disorganised, and rude staff only one of them was okish. NEVER AGAIN

Sports bar with plenty of screens showing lice sport. Good food - excellent burgers - and amazing "meal deals" on some drinks. Very quiet at lunchtime on Sunday.

Came with friends for drinks - pub has had a refurb and looks lush :) team always very friendly and have great playlists! great for sport with sooo many TVs and some nice booths which we sat in with our own little private tv will definitely visit again

Ate here at 5pm on a Saturday (before going to the Philharmonic). There's was a big party in which was a not a problem, and probably added a bit of atmosphere tbh. My food was fine, but even though it was early the burger and two of the beers my husband wanted were not available. My espresso martini was fine, although strangely 'on tap'. Food was tasty enough (skin on fries were nice), but nothing very special. A bit 'Spoons-like' really 😉. Felt more like lunch than a night out. Nothing to complain or rave about really 😉

Was in the other day with few friends pints an food was on point and staff make you feel welcome especially the manager Kelly and the bar maid Kelly the banter between them and with us just made it better couldn't stop laughing would definitely recommen💯😁

I felt unwelcome before even entering this place as to gain access as a wheelchair user I had to get my friend to ask a member of staff to open the fire exit which was locked by deadbolts. Not only does this make wheelchair users feel uncomfortable and that they are not a valued customer like able bodied people. It is also a health and safety issue having the fire exit locked. This door used to be a normal entrance and this business should be accessible to all but it is not. The side of the bar where the emergency exit and accessible toilet are located was also blocked off by chairs. While staff may have wanted customers to sit nearer the main bar area, blocking access to the fire exit with chairs is a health and safety concern for all while I had to get my friend to move the chairs out of the way many times to access the disabled toilet (which is frequently abused by able bodied customers who probably cannot be bothered to walk up the stairs). Being dependent on other people to gain entry to the building and the accessible toilet felt disabling, degrading and discriminatory. There is accessible toilet and entry facilities into this establishment and I strongly suggest that improvements are made to make this bar accessible to all. People with disabilities have the same rights to independence, respect and access to social establishments as everyone else under the Equality Act 2010 and Disability Discrimination Act 1995. These laws could quite easily be abided by by having an accessible entrance for all into the premises and ensuring the accessible toilet remains accessible to disabled customers. Positives were that drinks were brought to the table and the food was warm enough to eat this time.

Mates and I always go here. Some amazing pizza, chefs outdo themselves! Always served with a smile and bonded with Sky about being Welsh uni students in Liverpool. Great entertainment and cheap beers for students!

Our first visit to Hope & Anchor and we were not disappointed. Four of us enjoyed Brunch with Prosecco/Cocktails. Looked after so well by Imogen and drinks replenished swiftly. Food beautifully cooked by Polly! We enjoyed the big breakfast, Diggin Burger and Cheesy Pizza! All food beautifully cooked, piping hot & tasty. Whole experience fantastic! Would highly recommend and will definitely return! Brilliant value for amount we drank and ate!

Came in on Saturday with my boyfriend and was served by Cerys. Even though it was extremely busy she gave excellent customer service and was lovely to chat to. Would definitely come here again if the other servers are anything like Cerys

They had a queue system at the bar, of standing in single file at the 2 tills, fine if you are in McDonald's, but in a pub is just Wool behaviour.

The staff are wonderful, Kelly and the team, and they ALWAYS go above and beyond to make sure customers are happy, cared for, and they keep on top of this throughout your stay. Also, the kitchen is BANGING!! Veggies get lovely options that are cooked fantastically, and us meat eaters get a brilliant range. Food throughout the day and, having eaten here a lot, I can recommend the whole menu. Get in, get after it!!

Love love love bottomless brunch here, was a tad busy for us yesterday but we was still well looked after and the team gave us a lovely experience, tables were decorated and Xmas songs on with a great mix of others. Been here several times for brunch and will definitely always recommend

We came for a couple of hours before a gig, Poppie gave us amazing service even though the pub was busy. She went above and beyond we were very impressed with our experience especially as it was a saturday in December! The pub could probably do with 1/2 more members of staff but we still had a lovely time.

Had the pizza and naughty nachos (a must try!!) and was served by such lovely staff always greeting with a smile. Got to say Greg and Sky go above with their work and getting on with customers. Sky came over and helped me download and set up mixr it was lovely! Definitely a must try place.

Great experience, even greater Guinness, with a far greater bar maid serving me. Erin I believe her name was and what a lovely young lady she was and her service was exceptional. She poured me the most crisp, pure and creamy Guinness I've had in a long while.

Found this pub while visiting Liverpool. Very friendly atmosphere with good quality of drinks. Didn’t have any food but it looked good. Carys (the girl who served us) was extremely helpful and always smiling. Will definitely return when we’re in Liverpool next.

One item from my food & drinks order via the’Crafted Social’ app was not available- a pint of craft beer. My server gave me a “Void” slip from the till for the value of the item. I ordered a replacement which I then paid for separately. Before leaving the pub I pointed out to the server that the 2 debits were showing on my online banking app but not the credit for the item that was not available. She told me it could take up to 24 hours to appear in my account. I telephoned the pub on several occasions and was told to wait, but no credit appeared in my credit card account. Eventually I emailed the pub who asked for a refund from the Stonegate Pub Group who run the ‘Crafted Social’ app. This finally achieved a refund - two and a half weeks later. Using the app to order did not prove to be an easy option!

The bottomless brunch and the crafternoon tea are both worth going for, very friendly staff, good food, good music and atmosphere

The place seems amazingly warm and welcoming with craft beers galore on tap! I ordered the Passion and Fire cocktail (they have 241 all day every day) and the bbq ranch chicken. It was very juicy and tasty meat. The chips were a bit too easy to snap in my opinion but it's no biggie. The cocktails were tasty and unique, not what I was expecting. The card payment takes a while due to WiFi but it isn't that much of an issue. Didn't wait too long for food either. I belive it'd get lively on an evening and has good student discounts. Would come back!
