Cooked to perfection, the rump steak was tender, juicy, and packed with rich, beefy flavor. The charred crust on the outside added just the right amount of smokiness, while the inside was beautifully cooked to my preferred level.

Had the Sunday roast for the first time and it was excellent. Without a doubt the best gravy I’ve had. My wife went for the big Mat burger which was delicious .The atmosphere is lovely and relaxing in the restaurant and our server was very professional and looked after us well.

Never disappointed at this restaurant. Excellent streaks cooked exactly as you like it. Other non beef options also available and very good sides and starters. Good range of drinks with and without alcohol served. Some Gluten Free options and some dishes modified to suit Coeliacs. Vegetarians and Vegans should avoid.

Absolutely fantastic service from Finton, Helana, and Gemma. Oysters to start with the cherry negroni, followed by scallops and pork belly. Perfectly cooked prime rib and porterhouse for mains. Sides were fantastic, creamed spinach and mac n cheese especially. Finton brought a congratulatory tiramisu to celebrate a friends promotion. Could not recommend this site more, Finton was absolutely fantastic, thank you all!!

What an amazing experience. We booked a table to celebrate my wife's birthday. From entering the restaurant you are welcomed with a smile and professionalism. Good food and drink choice. Overpriced! £16 for a burger which was in my view better at McDonalds. Then £6 for fries! Would not go again. My wife had a small steak £26, spinach £6, fries £6 and pepper sauce £3.50, glass of wine £15 and a small beer £9. How can they charge these prices

I love a steak and have been to many a steak house in my time. I was away with business and was fortunate to locate a Hawksmoor, as they have restaurants only in the north or south it was somewhere I'd been looking forward to trying. I was greeted by a friendly team on arrival and there was a good buzz in the restaurant. I was seated promptly and the waitress introduced herself. I was sure of what I wanted but she gave some helpful advice. I had the fillet steak with buttered greens and chips, with a glass of Malbec. The steak was sublime. The cut, the way it was seared, the seasoning; i was so impressed. I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again.

Very disappointing meal here. T-bones only available to share as start at 850g. Ours came with the sirloin but without the fillet. When queried, the waiter had no words. We were asked if we would like a fillet. I explained that a T-bone is supposed to have a fillet on the opposite side to the sirloin. Waited 10 minutes for a fillet to come, which was obviously unacceptable and inexcusable for a restaurant specialising in steak. Noisy venue, too.

Hawksmoor has earned its reputation. Fantastic food from starter to dessert, an insane steak, amazing sides, good drinks, the whole package. Just the price would put you off. For an anniversary or big event it's well worth a go though.

Warm and friendly welcome from the staff in what is a gorgeous building. The waiter was amazing, really great recommendations with highlights being the ‘cows in blankets’ and the refreshing hangover cure! He was super friendly, had a great manner with him and softly sold the upsells :) Will definitely be recommending and will be back!Ten Out of Ten!

Bought my mum a gift voucher for £150 here and when she tried to use it they told her there was no credit and she would have to pay. After a lot of embarrassment they finally decided she didn’t have to pay but in my opinion the experience I paid for had been ruined by this point. Tried calling and emailing to discuss this but I was never called back and my email has been ignored. Just seen my mum for the first time since it happened and heard more about the experience. Very disappointed

We love Manchester Hawksmoor so thought we would try the Liverpool restaurant. Great building with good decor and atmosphere. Unfortunately our expectations were not met this time. Both the Oysters and Lobster were not available on a Friday night so this wasn't a great start as this is what we were looking forward to most. Scallops covered in too much breadcrumb which ruined the taste. Very long wait beween courses. We were asked by 2 different members of staff if we were celebrating a special occasion so told them it was my husbands birthday. Not sure why they asked as it wasn't acknowledged throughout or at the end of the meal. Overall would not return. Paid too much for items not available and long waits on food. We can definitely recommend the Manchester restaurant though!

I don't want to give this place a fantastic review, it might encourage too many others to come. However it's one of the best restaurants in Liverpool. We found it difficult to fault. Food was well presented, cooked perfectly. Yes prices a bit above average but well worth it for the quality of food.

Great grill restaurant. It’s a little pricey but you get what you pay for. We all had steaks and the quality was first class highly recommended.

Easy to book online, they offer to hold your bag or coats in lockers which is handy. All staff were friendly and very attentive, our server who talked to us about the steaks available was very knowledgeable about the cuts/sizes etc. Good selection and good drinks/wine list. Didn't feel rushed, quality of food was amazing genuinely the best meal I ever had. Would go to again if back in Liverpool! Also check on you and make you feel looked after

In a word - Magnificent. Very high quality steak cooked to perfection by a skilled team in the kitchen. The dining room is beautiful, the wine recommendations are excellent and all the waiting staff are friendly, professional and lovely. I’d say if you’re planning a special meal - look no further.

I Never even knew this place was here, easy to walk past. But it's an amazingly well designed place in a converted bank. I really appreciated the subtle lighting and the booths. They have a special offer on Oysters at certain times, which is mainly what we went for. The drinks were really interesting, if somewhat expensive. But what really stood out was the service, which was excellent. Especially Ben. We will definitely return.

Tuvimos una reservación temprano por la noche para celebrar mi 70 cumpleaños. El lugar estaba lleno, que es comprensible para un sábado por la noche en el corazón de Liverpool. El nivel de ruido era increíble, más como un pub después de un partido de fútbol. Era imposible tener una conversación con mis compañeros comensales. Esperamos 20 minutos para pedir y otros 55 minutos para que llegara nuestra comida. Aunque éramos un grupo muy pequeño cuando terminamos nuestra comida pedimos el menú del desierto, solo teníamos un plato principal cada uno, nos informaron que si queríamos un desierto podríamos ser alojados en un rincón de la zona del Bar ya que necesitábamos desalojar nuestra mesa. Decidimos abandonar el desierto. La comida no era nada especial, mi lado de ''patatas en mantequilla'' no tenía mantequilla. El personal estaba corriendo y bastante intrusivo constantemente recargando nuestros vasos de agua, que era amable, pero la frecuencia era excesiva. Este restaurante era caro por la calidad de la comida y el nivel de servicio y la falta del ambiente que uno esperaría para un establecimiento de este tipo.

The staff were amazing at this restaurant, the restaurant building and decoration was amazing but, we had the roast dinner and the beef was chewy and fatty, the vegetables were raw and crunchy (not in a good way), othere people have had a lovely meal here but we were unlucky and for the price we paid, it was disgusting.

Excellent ! I love this place. There is not once that I’ve come here that was disappointing. All times it’s a very very good experience. From drinks to food I love this place. Super recommend. It’s a bit expensive so prepare for that when you add wine. If no wine they have a promotion of food for 25£ which is good. I would change just the music would add some dining music to make it more cozy.

We visited Hawksmoor on a Saturday evening, started off very well; coats taken at the door and shown to our table quickly. There didn’t seem to be any unoccupied tables so quite busy. The drinks order was taken and soon after the food order. We had 3 courses and a bottle of wine between two of us. The steak was good but not amazing and certainly not the best we’ve had in Liverpool. And the prices for both drinks and food are not cheap and didn’t seem to be good value for money. At over £300 for our meal and including a 12.5% tip which didn’t seem optional. The staff seemed very attentive all evening but we realised that this was because after our main course we were told that they needed the table back! My wife questioned this and was told a two person booking was only for only 1 hour 45mins and if it was a four person booking you would only get 2 hours. I don’t think they could have tried to get us out of the place any quicker. To be honest this ruined the whole experience. One other criticism was there doesn’t seem to be any dress code for either the staff or customers; in my opinion if you’re spending the kind of money they are charging you at least should dress appropriately.

Great place to eat and the food was absolutely gorgeous. Portions are big so careful how much you order!! Quite expensive though for 3 of us with only a cider and soft drinks had the bill came to £260 🥴. Staff absolutely fantastic with just the right level of attentiveness.

Nipped in to Hawksmoor for a drink whilst shopping the other day and bar man Dan makes one hell of a cornflake milkshake. Wow, unreal! Will be going back for a meal soon.

While we absolutely loved the food here, we were disappointed with the service. The server was lovely but took 30 minutes to take our order when we were in a rush. It took another 30 minutes to arrive, so we didn't have enough time to order dessert as we had theatre tickets. We ordered the ribeye and the hake. For how much you have to pay, the initial service just needs to improve.

The Hawksmoor restaurants are some of my favourites but my recent trip to the Liverpool one was very disappointing. Service was OK, but the steaks themselves had been badly trimmed and full of sinew. We had the sharing platters for starters and mains as we were a large group. Very poor.

Very good this place has been on my list of Liverpool restaurants for some time, finally got a chance to visit , it didn’t disappoint, skip the brunch menu, straight to the rib eye.. fantastic Just one thing “the extra charges” I’m seeing more of these, the inclusion of a £1 charity donation and then a 12 1/2% service charge , I’m not sure what I think about this. On one hand I think this is not the USA with the staff not even earning minimum wage, and I choose my own charity donations thanks! Then on the other side what’s a pound and the restaurant team will be very good as they’re very well-paid? ..

First visit to Hawksmoor following a recommendation and weren't disappointed. Friendly welcome on arrival and that continued throughout our visit. Lovely dinning area within India Buildings in Liverpool. We chose the Sunday roast option with extra sides,food was beautiful. Would recommend Hawksmoor and will definitely visit again.

We went for a roast dinner, I shall have to go back for steak. We went for the beef roast and wee offered the choice of rarer or more well done meat. I like my steak rare but my roast well done, so I appreciated that, and the meat was thickly sliced and still tender. The gravy was well made and the stuffing was a worthwhile addition though my wife wasn't as keen on it. The roast potatoes were very crisp, I was disappointed that they weren't cooked in dripping (it being a beef restaurant and all). The cabbage was buttery and cooked just right but the carrots were a bit low effort. Desserts were great though well balanced and not too rich or sickly. The atmosphere and decor have been really well done, lifted in no small part by the building itself. Then there's the staff, the absolute best service I have had in Liverpool. They were attentive and very observant of detail. Laid back and friendly but without being too much. I preferred this to Gustoand would come back here over there.

Hands down the best restaurant in Liverpool. We have been in town off and on for work for the past three months and have frequented this establishment. Everytime we go we feel at home and the staff go above and beyond. Tonight they went even further, as I dipped my sorbet in my beer they were inspired and brought me a drink based on what I was doing! It was amazing! I cannot speak more highly of the staff, I only hope to find myself here again so I can return!

I actually have had better, but did love it. Anniversary meal, so had all the family there. Staff were very patient with us. Toilets were a hike to get too, this affecting orders etc.

Came here for a Family members big Brithday celebration last night, I know some members of our party where unhappy about something last night but this is may review so will be reviewing based on my options. My food was lovely that I had Last night, I had picked from the alternative menu and had the Roasted Chicken. Was much bigger than I expected. I ordered the Beef Fat Chips as my side which where amazing. 😍 Chose a drink I wasn't sure about but loved, the Cornflake Milkshake. Very nice. Also wanted to say that Cameron our server was fantastic last night, he was very knowledgeable about all the food and drinks people had questions about. He was very friendly, I'm sorry I didn't get chance to tell him all this and thank him last night.

Food quite nice but the selection of drinks terrible, Won't be revisiting. No guinness or draft lager, cans and bottles of nothing I enjoyed.

Staff are attentive and food was good, but can't see how prices can be justified.

The only issue I have is the wine list. It starts at around £40 a bottle then quickly escalates.

Beautiful place, felt like we were on the titanic

I brought my sister here for a belated birthday lunch. The staff were all so friendly and attentive and went the extra mile by putting candles in my sisterw cake and desert. Food was delicious. Loved it that much I have since booked private dining for my small wedding. I'm sure we will back plenty of times in the mean time.

Arguable, but in my opinion this is the best restaurant in Liverpool - their full evening menu is great, the steaks are incredible and they even have a brunch menu now with excellent breakfast and sandwich options. The building is beautiful and the service is beyond excellent with friendly staff who really know what they are talking about and are eager to help you out.

Lovely food, great service and fantastic building. We had the express menu at lunchtime and can say it was delicious. Stater and main! The makrel salad was beautiful. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back. We also see the restaurant does Sunday dinner.

The best date night meal out with my wife in the 29 years we've been married. She was recommended all 3 courses by Yusuf, they must have the same taste buds, she was quoted as saying the best streak she's ever had. Thanks for all the touches like customised dessert plates.

The aesthetic, atmosphere, drinks and service were all top notch, but the food wasn’t up there. We had oysters to start, which were tasty, but the Sunday roast let us down. The beef was cold and the rest of the meal was warm at best, and I think even then it only felt warm because the gravy was hot. The carrots were hard and the veg in general seemed lacking in flavour and seasoning. Not what I expect from Hawksmoor, but this is the second time I’ve had an average roast from them, so maybe it should be? I don’t think I’ll be returning to any of the Hawksmoor restaurants for a roast any time soon…

Myself and my friend went to Hawksmoor Liverpool for a joint birthday dinner. We were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our table. Every person we had an encounter with, from greeting us, serving our plates etc were so friendly and engaging. Lauren who showed us to our table brought over a ‘hawksmoor guide to Liverpool’ and went over her recommendations and was really helpful. Cameron our main server was beyond exceptional! We need more Cameron’s in the world! He treated us like queens for our pre birthday meals and went above and beyond. He always came to check on us and made our meal amazing. Thank you for having us and I would recommend this to anyone!

Me and my partner both had a great meal here,amazing steak each and we both had to have the bone marrow gravey and we even tried oysters which was a first for us.we had to ho all in and have the natural and we are now converts,my partner she can be fussy but like is say she liked thwm also. The decor inside the hawksmoor is done with taste.

Oh my! I don't think there are enough superlatives out there to do this restaurant justice. I had heard how fab Hawksmoor was but never been lucky enough to go. Now I'm a complete convert. The moment we arrived the service was smooth, friendly, and attentive. The choice from the menu was brilliant and the food itself did not disappoint in any way - WOW! The head chef and their team in the kitchen cooked everything to perfection and my food allergies weren't an issue in anyway. It was a night of dining that my friends and I will remember for a long time to come

Absolutely impeccable service, divine food and stunning interior! Me and my partner came in for our anniversary for a Sunday roast. We were greeted by Anca with smiles and taken to the bar area as we were early and ordered some delicious mocktails recommended and made by Dan. We then were taken through to the restaurant area by Georgina who was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the food and the history of the building. When the food arrived it was absolutely delicious, the best roast dinner we have ever had!! We decided to go for the chateaubriand with all the trimmings. Would 100% recommend 1000/10! The minute we walked in the interior was beautiful old school elegant decor and was greeted by very friendly staff who seated us and then another staff remember took us threw the menu and took our order the starters where unbelievable then the steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were amazing also the MacNCheese was delicious in the style it was brought to us and the other sides we had then the sticky toffee pudding was to die for all in all the staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for the customers we will definitely be returning

I went to Hawksmoor this evening for a meal. The restaurant is beautiful and decorated to a very high standard. The staff are very attentive and able to deal with all requests quickly and effectively. I would say the food was a bit of a mixed bag. The starter and pudding were really nice. Unfortunately the steak was a little tough but had a fantastic flavor. I feel that my table was a little close to other tables and when they were serving they were very close to me. If I was eating at this point it would have been a bit annoying. Overall I enjoyed the experience and would say it's a good place to go.
