Maranto's Restaurant in Liverpool

Group of five, we have pretty much ordered everything off of the menu, been here a couple of times, never let's us down, amazing food and staff, can't fault.

Ate here on Thursday 09/01/2020, and found it was a Lovely restaurant.We all had starters, and they were all well received.Service was prompt and efficient.Mains were very nice too, I had chicken tagliatelle, which was just about perfect.Again, service was very good.Overall, a very nice dining experience.

Party of six with various meals. My partner and I had lamb rump with roast potatoes and coulis. Lamb was cooked as asked for and was very tasty. Portion could have been bigger, but overall the meal was most enjoyable. Pizzas and fish dishes were also as expected. No complaints about the quality of the food or the service from the staff. Enjoyable meal and will visit again.

Myself and my partner went out with the family for food and drinks for New years eve, so glad we booked Marantos. The food was amazing from start to finish. The sirloin and peppercorn sauce was so good! And my sister in laws lamb was melt in the mouth. The cocktails were also great. The building is lovely and ambiance really nice. The service was second to none our waitress was dressed as a pink lady and couldnt do enough for us. Thank you so much for a great new year `we will be back soon.

We've been to Maranto's a few times now, introduced by friends who live close by. We're happy to drive 30 mins to visit for the excellent food and service. I'm sure it won't be long before we're back again.

Lovely attentive staff and great foodHad the veg soup, Roast Turkey Dinner and Apple crumble.The food was very tasty and well worth £13.00.All the staff were lovely.It was an early Christmas lunch as my daughter worked over the Christmas period.Would highly recommend.

Lovely food and restaurant, I came here with my friend for dinner and the restaurant is cosy and beautifully presented, it was very busy and seemed a popular choice. My friend ordered the carbonara and said it was the best she’s ever had! I am vegan and there was a very small menu for me to chose from, I had a vegetable pasta which again was lovely. Again desserts were amazing and plenty of choice (only 1 choice for vegan) I asked for a coffee at the end of our meal and asked what dairy alternative they offered to my dismay they said they only offered cow’s milk! Disappointing when the restaurant offers a vegan menu and so many places do this now especially in lark lane. Would definitely return but would love a larger choice for us vegans ✌

Four of us called in for lunch on Friday and were welcomed without any delay and shown to a table and given menus.To drink we ordered a bottle of the house Merlot and a jug of water was provided.We had two of the excellent garlic bread to share between us to begin with.For mains we had two chicken tagliatelle, a spaghetti carbonara and tortellini with spinach and ricotta which were all excellent.For dessert we all had the always excellent tiramasu.We finished off with a selection of coffees.Great atmosphere, food, drink, service and value for money with friendly helpful staff.Would recommend most highly.

Don't normally write reviews but came to Morantos last night with a group of 11 of us. We had a fabulous time. Service was great, all meals arrived at the same time despite the place being very busy. Food was piping hot and delicious. The place has a lovely friendly atmosphere and was reasonably priced. Would definitely return. Thank you!

Fui a Maranto esta noche con mi hija a cenar, nunca había estado aquí antes, pero nunca había entrado, decidimos que lo probaríamos. Y desde el momento en que entramos nos sentimos agradables y acogedores, la camarera era encantadora y nos dio tiempo para relajarnos antes de venir y preguntar qué bebidas nos gustaría y si hubiéramos decidido nuestra comida. Me decidí por medio pollo medio costillar de costillas con una deliciosa salsa bq, no tuve que esperar mucho y la caña de comida estaba bien presentada y un montón de quejas muy grandes y deliciosas con el chef en una gran comida, mi hija tuvo el spaghetti carbonara y a ella le encantó. Sin duda volveremos a este restaurante en el futuro gracias de nuevo A ++

I stick with 2 favourite dishes, they never let me down, staff are brilliant I recommend the lasagne and chicken wrap

Came here on route to leave some people off to the airport and it was lovely. Ordered the Parmesan chicken, was lovely and the chips were so chunky and delish! Service was fast and efficient. Everyone else enjoyed their meal also, would return!

Came for lunch on Sunday with family members. I had not been for many years and it's great to see that this place is still going strong. Great vibe, good food, and service with excellent choices of drinks too. Highly recommended.

I love the upstairs bar here and drink there often. I haven’t eat here in years so thought I would give it a try. The service was good, love the interiors of restaurants, lots of space and nice and inviting. Overall the food was just okay for me. Maybe I should have been more adventurous than to order chicken pasta.

Every month or so 6 of us meet up in Liverpool for a drink, a meal and a catch up at our regular haunt in the City Centre. Just for once we decided to change the venue and Maranto's in Lark Lane was suggested. On arrival we met up in the bar upstairs about 8:00 pm and it wasn't long before menus were available and we were informed that our table was available whenever we were ready. All I'll say about our table in the window of Marantos overlooking Lark Lane on a Saturday night is "it's very interesting".

I happened to be at this place this past June on the final game of Liverpool's season. They did their part in winning the game. Unfortunately, they fell short as the other team needed to beat Man City, but that did not happen. Still, it was a great day to be an American in L'Pool. I really enjoyed the day celebrating with my wife, daughter, and son-in-law, who is from Liverpool. While I have never eaten here, I know that it is vegan friendly with a variety of food options. It is owned by the Maranto family, who are originally Italian-American family from the Chicago area. This is where I was born so we have a connection. They also have a great Italian restaurant and pizza place across the street. That's probably why Maranto's has been a Liverpool favourite for more than three decades.

I have walked past this place many times and it always appears busy so I assumed this long established restaurant must be getting something right. We visited on a Friday night, it was quite busy but this is a big place so there were plenty of tables available.

5 of us staying locally so decided to treat ourselves to a meal in one of the many restaurants in Lark Lane.

Met up with friends for dinner and drinks. The food as always was top notch. The staff are friendly and helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend this place.

A couple of friends and I found ourselves here on Saturday night having not planned our evening too well. We walked in to a very busy restaurant without a booking and were quickly found a table and made to feel welcome.

Hemos estado antes en Lark Lane, moderno, un poco bohemio, y hemos disfrutado de buenos bares y restaurantes. A Maranto no le gusta eso: grande, ruidoso, un menú enorme y desconcertante en gran parte con cosas fritas. El servicio era bastante bueno, pero la comida estaba apenas bien. El almuerzo del domingo fue pesado, la carne no había descansado y era difícil. La hamburguesa fue la elección del grupo, pero no fue genial. Además, por lo que obtienes no es barato. Si quieres este tipo de cosas, Wetherspoon lo hace mejor a mitad de precio.

Visitamos Marantos por primera vez en la víspera de Año Nuevo y solo puedo disculparme por haber tardado tanto en escribir una reseña de una comida y un servicio tan increíbles. Como era Nueva York, todo el personal llevaba un vestido elegante que era un buen toque. El ambiente era genial, pero no demasiado para mientras estás cenando.

8 de nosotros fuimos a comer a Morantos esta noche. La comida era deliciosa. Mi marido tenía la carbonara que recomendaría encarecidamente. Cuatro de nosotros decidimos comer hamburguesas de varios tipos con papas fritas. El resto de la fiesta había pizza, o espaguetis a la boloñesa. Toda la comida se servía muy caliente y grandes porciones. Estábamos todos demasiado llenos para ver el menú de postres! ! El personal no podría ser más amable y atento sin ser entrometido. Sin duda recomendaría este restaurante y volveremos a probar algunas de las otras deliciosas comidas que se ofrecen.

Pedí una comida de pollo en una salsa de pesto y papas fritas la comida era encantadora, las papas eran grandes y muy caliente. La esposa tenía pollo Tagatelli, ella lo recomendó, también tenía y yo tomé tres bolas de helado además de un vino chileno. Recomendaría una visita a este establecimiento.

Ate hear while staying locally in the Hallmark Hotel. The food and service were second to none. Would love to eat here again if ever in the area.

Would recommend eating here as the food was excellent staff were friendly attentive all in a great setting.Just be-aware if you order a large pizza that they very big but you can take home what you don't eat all boxed up.

This place ticks all the boxes! Have been before for drinks upstairs on the balcony and never been disappointed. Went for impromptu food at the weekend and could not fault it. The service was great, our food was delicious and good value. Prawns were lovely as was the pizza. Only issue is the salad came dressed which we should have mentioned really to have the dressing on the side. We only ordered little bites but saw some of the mains come out and looked amazing. We will definitely return!

D'ye know I have been writing restaurant reviews on Trip Advisor for many years and I can genuinely say this is some of the best food I have tasted worldwide, far better than the Quarter , Moose café, Hope street Hotel and many other top restaurants in Liverpool. From the moment we called to enquire about Sunday lunch to walking out the door when we finished. The gentleman who attended our table just bent over backwards to help me with my disabled son who is registered blind and wheelchair bound. He really couldn't have done any better.

Had the best time here. From entering the building to leaving, the staff were friendly, helpful, attentive and smiley. The environment was clean and comfortable. The atmosphere of chatter and food being eaten was lovely. The food was outstanding. Each course was delicious and there was no rush to eat quickly. Hot, good portion sizes with the meat cooked to perfection. The desserts were fabulous too. We loved the variety of cocktails and did try to drink the full menu. Great atmosphere, great staff, great food at fantastic prices and great value for money. Would definitely recommend. Will definitely be returning.

Long time since I have been here as it seemed to fall behind the many new cafes and bistros which have rejuvenated Lark Lane. Had lovely pre-Christmas lunch for 2 last week. Risotto was lovely, full of subtle flavours and perfectly al dente. Semifreddo cake was a delight. Back on our list of destinations and only 2 stops away on the 82.

On a week end visit to Liverpool with friends we turned up on spec for a meal in the evening and enjoyed every minute .

We stumbled across this restaurant on the way back from Sefton Park. There was a massive choice of restaurants along Lark Lane but we chose Maranto's based on the menu and lovely building. We were very happy with our choice. My husband thought his lasagne was was of the best he'd ever had! Friendly service. Would definitely go back when visiting Sefton Park/Liverpool again.

Visited this restaurant f the first time 27/10/2018. We were greeted and shown to our pre-booked table by a very friendly and professional member of staff. Once seated another member of staff came to take our but said he could see we were not quite ready so he would return in a few minutes. I ordered black pudding and chorizo to start which was delicious, although the red onion jam accompaniment was a little to sweet for me, and I have a very sweet tooth, it did however grow on me as I continued through the dish. I ordered the chicken and rib combo and a portion of cheesy garlic bread, as I did not fancy chips, which I thought were a side order, when my food arrived it was a huge portion with chips of which I tasted one which was not unpleasant at all. The cheesy garlic bread was, I think probably the nicest I have ever tasted, soft and melted in the mouth with an absolutely delicious taste. I could not finish my meal, it was that big, but not to worry the staff boxed anything we couldn’t eat and gave it to us to take home, and there was more than just me in our party that couldn’t manage the size of the portions and people on other tables, the pizzas in particular are gigantic. I would definitely revisit this restaurant again and recommend it to anyone who’s is looking for good wholesome food, a terrific customer experience and value for money as well. Sorry cannot review the deserts, we were too full to try any.

We visited Maranto's Restaurant twice during our recent trip to Liverpool to see the Giants. Great variety of Italian food, friendly and welcoming staff. Good choice of beers, try the Love Lane beer. Would certainly visit again.

Varied menu, including lots of options for vegetarians, friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Spoiled for choice when it comes to restaurants along Lark Lane but very happy we chose this one. Perhaps the best garlic bread we have ever had, too!

Came for family meal and everyone really enjoyed their food. The staff were excellent and apart from upstairs being really noisy due to the football being on it was a great evening.

Just went here for the first time while visiting friends and family in Liverpool and was very pleased with the food. I got a vegetarian pasta but added prawns and so glad I did. The prawns were cooked beautifully and made the pasta dish that much better. I also had the chorizo and black pudding crostini which I also enjoyed. Price was decent and I have no complaints whatsoever but be prepared it was quite loud in the restaurant as most Italian restaurants are so if you are looking for a nice quiet romantic Italian meal this is not the place but if you’re looking for a good family restaurant with good food this is the place.

Had dinner there. Service was quick and servers attentive and very hospitable. I had the steak which was perfectly done and my partner had the pizza which was a lovely thin crust and not over cooked. Satisfied with our visit and would return again.

Great food as always, had the BBQ ribs and double bacon cheeseburger, fantastic value and a friendly atmosphere, been many times and will be back.

Visitamos Moranto de en una noche de viernes muy concurrida, pero nos las arreglamos para conseguir una mesa para cuatro sin reserva. Era justo aquí con mis amigos. Nos habían sentado arriba por unos minutos y nos íbamos a ir al bar y beber cuando un señor mayor llegó a la mesa y nos dijo que la orden de bebidas porque no podíamos sentar allí. Si nunca han estado y están en la vecindad de carril lark, entonces es un deber. No es necesario reservar. Tienen ella s. Incluso tenía mi primera fecha con mi marido que hace diez años.

The restaurant is beautiful from the outside and inside too. We were there to eat some pasta the day before of the Rock 'n' Roll Halfmarathon and that was a great choice! The food was delicious and the staff was really nice and attentive.

I love coming here, such a treat!! The food is consistently so good, my favourite is the chicken and brocolli Pasta! Some staff are friendlier than others but its always a welcoming place.

Well what can I say booked a table for 5-30 for 12 including 4 small children we waited over a hour for starters and after complaing as the little ones were getting unsettled o was told that it was normal and to jus wait when food finally arrived all order was wrong disappointed to say the least also wasn't child friendly not impressed at all with the service attitude and staff will not be returning

I came here for drinks on a Saturday evening and had a good time. The beer selection was okay and the prices were good. The staff was nice and the place is very pretty.

Great Italian food, even better service and easily the beat place I've eaten on Lark Lane. Extensive drinks list reasonably priced. Children welcome early doors which the restaurant takes good care of. Highly recommended.

Having visited the terracotta Warriors at the Liverpool World museum. We stopped at Lark Lane for a quick lunch. Friendly and helpful staff. A good menu selection made it worth while. All local fresh ingredients made at pasta and pizza taste fantastic. Definitely visit again.

I absolutely love Maranto's it's probably one of my all time favourite Italians we've been many times and have never been disappointed. The food is authentic ,delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are lovely and friendly and will always go out of their way to welcome you!

Was here as two couples of friends. Service was fast and friendly. Food came out quicker than i would have expected as it was busy. All orders correct and hot. Sad these days that I have to say that but this place was spot on. Four different types of meals and all were very tasty. I doubled on the bacon and cheese burger and really struggled to finish it. Loved it though. Would definitely recommend this place.

Went here last year for same three course deal £11.95 but the roast beef was so tough I had to leave it Hence when my daughter suggested going last Sunday I was a little apprehensive but it was a totally different experience Soup was tasty the beef was nice and tender with the accompaniments of carrot/turnip, parsnips and cabbage were buttery and well seasoned. The service was brilliant and the staff are really friendly and attentive would definitely return.

I have returned to Lark Lane and Marantos after 10 years....so I went back for dinner.

we live other side of liverpool and we where looking for somewhere different to eat anyhow we picked marantos and what a delight the food was lovely service was quick the blackpudding and chorizo is to die for good selection of beers mains we had the lamb rump really lovely and a selectio of homsmade deserts with a hard to decide selection .would highly recommend here as the food is really nice

Llamamos a Maranto's el sábado por la noche. Estábamos en un poco de prisa, ya que nos dirigíamos a una fiesta sorpresa y apuraron para tiempo pero nos acogieron y nos llevaron a una mesa de inmediato. Nos explicó que estábamos en una prisa y la camarera explicó que tomaría más tiempo comida que otros para estar listo. Ambos elegimos italiano y honestamente puedo decir que fue la mejor pasta que he tenido gusto fuera de Italia. Absolutamente precioso! El lugar tiene un precioso ambiente concurrido. No puedo esperar a volver y comer aquí. El servicio fue fantástico, al igual que la comida. ¡Bien hecho!

Another place that is frequented on a monthy or bi-monthly basis. The food is great, fillng/hearty and veggie friendly, the staff are just as friendly. They serve a great pint of Love Lane and the place is always spotlessly clean.

Had a fantastic day yesterday at this superb restaurant. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and nothing is ever too much trouble! The food as always was outstanding. Lots of choices. Cooked perfectly and presented lovely. The cocktails were all delicious also. Great atmosphere, busy with people laughing and chatting and enjoying great great food. Would definitely recommend!

Great restaurant in a thriving area. Our favourite starter is the Black Pudding & Chorizo which is delicious. Also does excellent Pasta and Pizzas (the Hot & Spicy is perfectly spicy and peppery). Great selection of Craft Ales and good friendly staff
