Harry was very helpful and friendly, food was nice.

I booked a late table on the way back from a very busy day. We arrived half an hour early, happy to have drinks while waiting, but Fern welcomed us and sorted us out without any question. My partner is gluten free and we were ordering from a set menu, and Fern took the time to sort this and make substitutions. Thank you so much to Fern and team for capping off a great day with a great dining experience. Thank you for your hospitality and consideration!

Brilliant server Grace, normally great food, however sometimes (including today) the meat can be a bit tuff or overcooked slightly. However the service did make up for this issue in the end. Love the square honey corn things btw.

Enjoyed my food although I’m fussy with bacon I asked for crispy and it came out still bit fatty (not chiefs issue it’s mine as I have a big thing about even smallest bit of fat🫣) when taken back instead of it returning black Siobhan clearly took the time to listen and repeat to chief that it just the fat I needed cooking more as it came back to me perfect Siobhan was polite patient and efficient very happy

Salad bar was a bit sparse but spoke to a member of staff and it was restocked immediately.

We visited Monday 10th March and was served by Harry - he seated us and took our drinks order straight away. Service was brilliant - he checked to make sure our food was okay and we had everything we needed. Salad bar was topped up and fresh. Our food was fantastic - we had the dirty one burger and the bbq chicken stack. You could tell the food was well cooked and the chef, Leonie, had taken her time to lay out the food beautifully. Thank you for a brilliant meal 😊

We both ordered the Simply Chicken to stay loyal to our new diet, because, you know, summer bodies are made in March. And let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint! The rice? So good I considered proposing to it. The chicken? Better than Nando’s, yes, I said it. Nando’s who?! Honestly, if that chicken had a LinkedIn profile, I’d endorse it for ‘Outstanding Flavour’ and ‘Life-Changing Juiciness.’ Big shoutout to the chef, may your spatula always be mighty. We visited on the 6th of March, a day so sunny we felt like we were dining on the surface of the sun… but hey, at least the chicken didn’t need extra grilling!

The food I had myself wasn't great the vegan cheese was a surprise, but the when I told Frankie about it she apologised and said for future orders to request normal Cheese, amazing lady respectful happy with the service, the food would have 5 stars without the vegan cheese

Not a great first visit. Yet another Harvester that runs out of their signature rotisserie chicken 30 mins into lunch service. So make sure to ask if you visit for that like we do. If we’d have been served in order we’d have gotten it though so annoyed by that. The food we did end up with was nicely cooked and we enjoyed it. When they know it’s going to be busy due to voucher offers there is no excuse to not only run out of chicken but to then say it’s going to be over an hour before anymore is ready. At 45 mins after saying that he told another table it was still 30 mins before anymore would be ready.

Our server Conan was a delight, excellent service and extremely helpful. Food cooked by Rich was beautiful.

We have lunchtime meals here on a regular basis. Excellent food and staff. Served by Mikey today. Cooked and presented by Connor. Cannot fault it. Always clean,well stocked salad bar . Just a really nice relaxed atmosphere.

We called for breakfast, which was great served nice and hot. Friendly staff great l.

Valentines night... ok, busy, service was slow. At one point, I was going to collect our starters from the hot plate. People who ordered after us getting their food before us. None of the staff were running about like their hair was on fire... so they obviously felt they had a grip on it. Valentines happen every year at the same time, so there was no excuse for not being ready. Maybe the area manager could have rocked up and helped out.. maybe he did. The food was tasty, and the organisation of the resteraunt let them down.

Food was lovely however the service was awful. The first server we had was brilliant but then the young manager came on and moved the servers around. The manager on shift looked like she didn't want to be their and everything was to much trouble. We waited over 45 minutes for our plates to get moved and she's walked past quite often and saw the empty plates. I then asked her for my sons pudding that we had already ordered and she didn't sort it out. We waited 20 mins for this before asking a server that wasn't working on our table who went and got it. Manager working on Sunday 23rd at 3.00 needs a big shake up on her management skills !!!

Came here on a Saturday evening. Wasn't too sure about eating here as I'm very fussy with food. Chloe was really welcoming, made me feel at ease about eating here and helped me pick something I like from the menu. Glad we did go here, had a good evening and food was fairly good.

Sirloin steak and Chicken Skewer very good. Sweet potato fries were barely warm. Garden peas were very hard. Why spoil the dish using hard garden peas? For very little extra specify Petit Poi's.

Unfortunately our lunch was spoilt by a very loud, unruly family sat behind us! The "parents" were swearing frequently, shouting and threatening to smash their children's faces in!! I appreciate a Harvester isn't the poshest of places, but this family ruined the experience of at least 3 different tables full of customers. Why weren't they asked to leave? We voiced our dissatisfaction but nothing was done by the staff!

My wife and I had the Ultimate breakfast. We were shown to our table by a nice friendly waitress, I think her name was Fern. The table was clean and tidy, and the food came fairly quickly. The food was cooked well, but the sausages were overcooked, and the fried eggs also. Halfway through, we noticed the 2 flat mushrooms were missing for both meals. Looked for a waitress to complain, but no one was around. Food was going cold at that point, so I decided to forget it till the end when we paid and mention it then. Big mistake as I had to go looking for someone to pay and asked at the bar. The lad their said he would bring the bill and did then said pay at the bar. We went to the bar which was deserted for some time. I eventually caught the lad again who took the payment and never asked if everything was okay or even gave me a chance to complain. Advice: Check what they bring is all there when they bring it to you! Eat quickly before it goes cold.

We made a reservation online which was quick and easy to do. On the day I received a text reminder of our booking. Nice booth with plenty of room so even though it was busy we didn't feel crowded. We were advised about wait times for food as it was busy but we were prepared for that and had booked to give us plenty of time. (Actually I did not feel that 35-40mins wait was excessive, but appreciated the warning) We had a friendly waiter who was attentive and helpful. Drinks and food were served in a timely manner and we never felt ignored or had to actively look for staff for anything e.g. to order more drinks. Food was tasty and the range offered by the menu was good. We enjoyed what we ate and the free salad bar with main meal is always good value for money. I am a Blue Light Card member and I received a significant reduction on the bill and that, as well as the general positive experience in the restaurant, would encourage me to come back again.

I like booth close to refill & salad,Leigh was most obliging. Yes she ensured we had app for offers & did try trade up but the food portions are so generous; no space in this tummy. Just love the service. Price is fair

Three of us have never had such terrible food. Not sure how it’s possible to spoil gammon and chicken this much. The pineapple slice looked like it had been dunked in black burnt grease and tasted as much. The frozen chips were like cardboard. Not sure my dogs even enjoyed the meat I took home but none of us could eat the food . Very very disappointed We was never approached to see if our meals were okay. And we had to get the server over to complain

Been there thrice with family, every time expecting that we could get signature rotisserie chicken, they come up with the same words ' unfortunately we don't have any signature rotisserie chicken left '. Third time I made a special request to them to have this chicken and booked as early as possible, still they ignored my request and everyone in family was disappointed. Also service was terrible. Won't recommend this restaurant

Good Morning, myself and my partner previously visited your restaurant back in October and November last year and thought the food and service was excellent .However our visit last night was a huge disappointment. On arrival we had a polite member of staff inform us somebody would take us to our table, after a few minutes a young boy walked to the desk and i asked him for a table for 2 ,he just looked at us picked up 2 menus and we followed him to the table,he just dropped the menus on the table and walked off, my partner asked him a question and he just walked off with a face like bulldog chewing a wasp.After approximately 15 minutes we were still waiting ,with no drinks. We noticed a family who arrived after us with drinks on their table.We drove from Nottingham to be greeted my a snotty little kid ,who didn't even speak dropped the menus on the table and left us to wait for Christmas. So we left and drove back to Nottingham !

Really dissatisfied with our meal here , went to order our food wanted the rib and rotisserie chicken to be told they have none So was offered chicken breast which was a ok at the time but wish had not bothered it was tough over cooked small pieces, the chips came plain not herb coated as advertised gravey very watery couldn't complain as the staff were really under pressure as place was at full capacity. After eating said poor meal one of our group needed to visit the bathroom she came back off colour as some one had defecated all over the seat and floor we reported it to a member of staff who then closed off one toilet that was affected the women in our group was mortified at seeing the state of it and so we paid and left as she didn't want a pudding as we had planned .we love harvester meadowhall but we will not be visiting Alma Park chesterfield ever again. The madhouse UTB

We turned up today without a booking hoping to find a table for 5 to have lunch after seeing Cinderella. Nothing was too much trouble for the team at the Harvester. They were very very busy but it all ran like clockwork and we would like to thank the girl who was waiting on us ( sorry I didn’t think to take your name ) and every team member we interacted with! Great work and I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas 🎅

Very cold as the heating isn’t working. Left without having anything as it’s too cold for comfort.

I only had a drink, it is always fab, but needs to be warmer

December 2024: visited here with family for an evening meal. We made a booking online in advance which is recommended as the restaurant was very busy. Despite this, service was quick and food was excellent. Unlimited salad is a nice touch, albeit there were times that some of the items were running low (probably just a sign of how busy it was). Meals are slightly more expensive than similar places but this is probably to cover the 'free' salad. That being said, the portion sizes are plenty big enough and the food is good quality. Good choice of food and drinks (unlimited machine). Toilets are not in the greatest condition and we're a bit unpleasant. Would recommend and rerun if in the area.

Unfortunately the service was so slow. The food was rather poor too. Overcooked chicken, sparse salad bar, forgotten items eg ordered sweet potato fries but got regular fries, ordered brandy sauce and got custard, the burgers did not come with everything that was stated on the menu. We couldn't complain/rectify as there were no staff to be found. Unfortunately our worst visit to Harvester.

40 minutes plus wait for food as they were very busy. 20 mins for a table to be cleared and cleaned. Steak was rare when medium/well done was ordered. Friendly enough staff.

Food beautiful and hot. We had a truly amazing waitress who went the extra mile to find me some strawberry jam. Thank you Freya x 2nd visit food was excellent, thank you Lewis, except for the toast that was either cold or burnt. Superb service from Ben.

The food is average. There was a time when Harvesters had a really good salad bar but now they’re more like a school canteen. The food is generally ok and there are some things they do that are really good. The service is good. The place lacks atmosphere, and the building is cold.

Firstly there was 8 of us, upon arrival you could immediately see the carnage of them being short staffed, We ordered 8 meals only 7 arrived the 8th meal was sat on the serving hatch, all meals were cold. The service was diabolical, when we asked for the manager we were told he was on break. I told the waitress in no way shape or form was I blaming her but I needed to come to some arrangement as we were not paying for food that none of us ate, and even 1 of them missing! The meal ended up being free, but the service and hospitality was a joke. I would never come back here.
