Alma Park Harvester in Chesterfield

I have been going to Harvester alma park chesterfield for a while and find the staff very friendly and always have a pleasant smile and welcome. Conan always make the visit very pleasant and the rest of the staff make it very enjoyable Thankyou

Really dissatisfied with our meal here , went to order our food wanted the rib and rotisserie chicken to be told they have none So was offered chicken breast which was a ok at the time but wish had not bothered it was tough over cooked small pieces, the chips came plain not herb coated as advertised gravey very watery couldn't complain as the staff were really under pressure as place was at full capacity. After eating said poor meal one of our group needed to visit the bathroom she came back off colour as some one had defecated all over the seat and floor we reported it to a member of staff who then closed off one toilet that was affected the women in our group was mortified at seeing the state of it and so we paid and left as she didn't want a pudding as we had planned .we love harvester meadowhall but we will not be visiting Alma Park chesterfield ever again. The madhouse UTB

Always friendly and pleasant staff, attentive to your needs. Food always at a good standard. Always appears clean and salad bar in well stocked and fresh.

Food met expectations catered to all our needs and questions salad bar was fresh and constantly getting restocked 😊

Food was amazing and staff were friendly however there didnt seem to be enough staff on we had to wait ages to get the food and be served.

We turned up today without a booking hoping to find a table for 5 to have lunch after seeing Cinderella. Nothing was too much trouble for the team at the Harvester. They were very very busy but it all ran like clockwork and we would like to thank the girl who was waiting on us ( sorry I didn’t think to take your name ) and every team member we interacted with! Great work and I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas 🎅

The worst pub I've ever been in by far

Came for a meal with my partner tonight and it was superb the staff like Connor fern and Leigh was so welcoming and nice the food by our chef Levi was delicious

Very cold as the heating isn’t working. Left without having anything as it’s too cold for comfort.

December 2024: visited here with family for an evening meal. We made a booking online in advance which is recommended as the restaurant was very busy. Despite this, service was quick and food was excellent. Unlimited salad is a nice touch, albeit there were times that some of the items were running low (probably just a sign of how busy it was). Meals are slightly more expensive than similar places but this is probably to cover the 'free' salad. That being said, the portion sizes are plenty big enough and the food is good quality. Good choice of food and drinks (unlimited machine). Toilets are not in the greatest condition and we're a bit unpleasant. Would recommend and rerun if in the area.

Unfortunately the service was so slow. The food was rather poor too. Overcooked chicken, sparse salad bar, forgotten items eg ordered sweet potato fries but got regular fries, ordered brandy sauce and got custard, the burgers did not come with everything that was stated on the menu. We couldn't complain/rectify as there were no staff to be found. Unfortunately our worst visit to Harvester.

40 minutes plus wait for food as they were very busy. 20 mins for a table to be cleared and cleaned. Steak was rare when medium/well done was ordered. Friendly enough staff.

Food beautiful and hot. We had a truly amazing waitress who went the extra mile to find me some strawberry jam. Thank you Freya x 2nd visit food was excellent, thank you Lewis, except for the toast that was either cold or burnt. Superb service from Ben.

Firstly there was 8 of us, upon arrival you could immediately see the carnage of them being short staffed, We ordered 8 meals only 7 arrived the 8th meal was sat on the serving hatch, all meals were cold. The service was diabolical, when we asked for the manager we were told he was on break. I told the waitress in no way shape or form was I blaming her but I needed to come to some arrangement as we were not paying for food that none of us ate, and even 1 of them missing! The meal ended up being free, but the service and hospitality was a joke. I would never come back here.

The food is average. There was a time when Harvesters had a really good salad bar but now they’re more like a school canteen. The food is generally ok and there are some things they do that are really good. The service is good. The place lacks atmosphere, and the building is cold.

Waited over an hour for food after ordering. The batter on haddock was slimy on the inside and the fish was tasteless. The chicken with jacket potato, broccoli&gravy was very dissapointing. The chicken didn't taste fresh and the broccoli was undercooked. Took home what we couldn't eat for dogs. Won't be going there again. The rolls on the salad bar was not fresh bread!!

Called today for lunch before going to the cinema, food was great and good value, Fern our server was brill and really helpful.

My family and I went there first time. We enjoyed our food, unlimited salad bar, kids enjoyed too.

It wasn't that busy today but despite this food took longer than normal, the pasta dishes were under the lamps for a fair while before the other food was ready. The food wasn't up to normal standard. The manager rectified it by giving us free desserts.

Very disappointed and definitely will not be returning. We had booked for my niece's birthday meal here, a party of 12 at 3pm on a Saturday. After all of us ordering our food the waitress came out to tell us that at 3pm they had no rotisserie chicken, which ¾ of the party had ordered rotisserie chicken. They did give us a substitute of a chicken breast, however it wasn't exactly a satisfactory substitute. We all then went to help ourselves to the salad bar which was pretty much empty. We had to ask twice for it to be filled up as there was next to nothing on it, even after being told it had been replenished. When our food came out my father in law asked for english mustard which he was told "We don't stock it anymore as it's an allergen" which is a bit baffling considering you have honey mustard dressing on your salad bar and I'm sure most of your other foods contain allergens which is why we are asked if anyone has any prior to ordering food. The quality of the food compared to the price is pretty poor. You get a measly portion of mushy peas with your fish (it isn't even worth having any at all really). The burger my partner had was full of grissle and could tell it was cheap quality, and the chicken I had was bland and dry. I would like to add that our waitress we had was very polite and helpful, couldn't fault her service, but otherwise very disappointing.

Siobhan was a super friendly and efficient server. Food good as always and good value, just a little small on the chip portions today. I scored low on the atmosphere as we were seated near the kitchen and they had their own music playing quite loud which at times sounded a bit drum and bass. This was highly irritating as it was also playing over the top of the 'in house' music. It was just a lot of stimulation whilst trying to have our own conversation over dinner.

Been today and was so Disappointed In the food I had . Had fish and chips and the fish was Horrible , so did not end up eating it. Know one asked us how the food was. And Getting the attention of the waitress , was so hard. Wished I had gone next door to Nando's now.

Visited on wednesday 23rd and it was very bisy. We are regulars and it seemed packed and short staffed. However, our waiter, ricky, still found time to give us great service, and also, from what we found out earlier, he even went into the kitchen to help make our food. So on the 21st October 2024 I visited this establishment on our arrival the waitress siobhan greeted up and was really nice and professional I was in a party of 5 we had starters which was lovely and then we went to the mains 4/5 mains was phenomenal except myself I ordered a 10oz sirloin streak which I asked for medium rare when it arrived to mu table it came to me well done the waitress asked if everything was okay and i mentioned my steak which she happily got replaced for me but those took 10 minutes to returnby time it got to me the party I was with nearly finished their food but to my suprise the steak was rare not medium rare and frankly was disappointing and really not nice to eat I didn't want to wait for another steak so myself and party just moved onto desert which was really nice the waitress was so apologetic which was not her fault never less the chef didn't do a great job and the manager neither approached us to sort anything out for is which is really appalling we did end up with some money knocked off but my experience wasn't the greatest could've been handled better

Lovely quick tea food, we had Leigh serve us with my two young kids and she was lovely and helpful friendly and polite. Good friendly staff help a business hugely!

Freya is a lovely server. So polite and nothing is too much trouble. Andi was our chef and the food was cooked to perfection. I had the pork belly. It was a generous portion and so tender and delicious. My husband had the chicken stack combo with the sweet potato fries option. He said it was very nice with a bit of a spicy taste. The food took a little while to come but it was clearly freshly made and piping hot when it got to our table. Thank you Harvester. We will visit again soon.

We went out to see a show and we booked a table at the Harvester afterwards. Our waiters name was Conan and he was absolutely brilliant he was very pleasant and friendly and we had a laugh with him too. The food was delicious. We would definitely go again.

We had a wonderful time at Chesterfield Harvester. Our server Conan (OR Conar can't quite make out the last letters) was absolutely brilliant. Super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. SUPER quick with drinks and salad plates! Just the right amount of friendly and checking back on our meals without feeling overwhelmed. Our chef was levi, and my husband had a mixed grill and all the meat was cooked to perfection, especially the medium steak. I had a bbq chicken stack with chicken fries and hot honey corn bread. The chicken was so succulent and over-all tasty, however my whole meal was lukewarm and I would have preferred it hotter. I could of sent back but i didn't want to eat separately from my husband, though I did mention it to our server and he apologised. We both had desert and they were both delicious.

Food is ok, but for the price, I have had better elsewhere. Just standard pub food really. Salad bar is a nice touch, but it wasn't getting restocked regularly while we were there.

The food wasn't the best felt rushed, and the team missed food items from what was ordered. I had to walk around 9 tables to find a working salt that wasn't blocked up, food all over the floors, toilet roll from the toilets out into the main area.

Incredible food, amazing service! Our Waiter was Hannah she handled our big group amazing made sure everyone was happy. Even came out with the cake we had for my sons birthday. Definitely would go again. Reasonable priced.

We stopped here to break a long journey home and, hopefully, enjoy a relaxing meal. The Harvester is strategically placed for this, being close to a major road. There is suitable parking, on the flat, just outside, which is shared with a number of other establishments on this development. The dining area is quite large with tables to accommodate parties of varying sizes and comfortable seating. Decor is pleasantly neutral. The menu is fairly standard, but there is a good range of dishes and quite a lot of flexibility built into the choices. There is also an extensive salad bar. The service was friendly and efficient. Staff seemed genuinely helpful and engaged despite the fact that the restaurant was busy. The toilet areas were well laid out and clean with a separate one for disabled access. Regrettably, two of the three cubicles on the ladies side were not flushing properly that evening, but I hope that was a blip. All in all this is a pleasant family restaurant a d a good place for an evening out that won't break the bank.

Clean, well looked after by Frankie, decent food. The dirty fries aren’t dirty enough though, I wouldn’t pay extra for those again.

Went between a double showing at the pictures. Service was spot on. Salad bar was well restocked and fresh. Seemed to have been cleaned and not left in a state like at other venues. Food was served quick and was tasty. The premium option of upgrading fries to pull pork dirty fries were disappointing as it turns out you get a tiny clump of pulled pork in the middle of your fries. No cheese, no sauce or anything. Wouldn't reccomend that bit but the rest was perfectly fine for "cinema entertainment park" family eating. There's an app with offers on I'd recommend downloading before going though as you can get significant discounts
