All Ways Fryday in Poole

I’ve lived here two years and keep trying every few months to get a decent fish and chips without success. I’ve even told them I will wait for fresh and they keep me waiting and still try and pass old chips on me. It’s a collaboration between the manager who’s cooking the chips and young female server. It’s a disgrace. I complained each time to no avail. I only use as my health dictates occasionally I can’t cook. SHAPE UP GUYS. READ AND LISTEN TO THE FEEDBACK. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. HOW HSRD IS IT TI FRY????

Great food, really fast service, neat little area, person behind the register laughing when I called my friend fat because he held his chips like a new born baby

First time had fish and chips takeaway last night and it was amazing.Very good size for medium portion and very reasonable price, will be definitely coming for more. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great tasting food and good service but the portion sizes get smaller everytime. Large chips were more like a small. Expect more for £6 sausage and chips.

What a find! Absolutely superb fish (we had cod and hake, and both were firm, pure white, and utterly delicious), the best gravy from a chippy I've had in ages, proper crispy chips, and even battered slices of black pudding and haggis! If you're staying at Rockley Park, forget the horrendous excuse for a chippy on site, and pop down the road to All-Ways Fryday (it's not even 5 minutes by car) - you'll thank yourself.

Was a great take away but the last twice it was just ok but tonight 5/8/2024 was the nastiest ive had from a takeaway , the chips were bottom of the tub thin sharp ones, the ones you leave from your bag but 90% was like it! The sausages were just about cooked and they forgot our curry! So two fish medium on chips, one kids sausage and chips and a pea fritter All for over £30 ….. if we hadn’t drove away so far i would complained … never again! Definitely better shops around!

Was terrible the chips had been sat and not fresh cod was mostly batter. Overpriced and of poor quality.

Palm oil. Just seen that they use Palm oil from sustainable souces (sic). There are NO sustainable sources, it just means the rainforest has already been destroyed and you can't kill the trees twice. It's also cheap so we can see why they are using this evil product. Never going to eat here again.

Best chips I've had in years battered jumbo sausage and cheesy chips were very tasty

First time trying this place and really enjoyed it. Staff were super friendly and helpful when deciding what to have especially as my child has a milk allergy. 3 meals with some dips etc came to under £30 which is fair and the food was good. Would definitely visit again

Beautiful fresh food fried in absolutely pure and fresh oil, Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Easy access, Seating outside, Parking outside however a little limited, but we'd walk a mile for this plaice 😉 The 'homemade' Fishcake was suggested to me, superior to the processed versions. This was our first visit, possibly not the last (we go home in 3 days) Very reasonably priced in my opinion! 5* Food 5* Service 5* Experience About 20 minutes travel to our holiday park but so very worthy! Well done to All! See you soon!!

We have used this chip shop a lot in the past and it was usually good. But recently it has become poor. My wife had spring rolls although the taste was there they were under cooked and the batter was soggy. Usually you would get a good portion of chips. A large portion would fo both of us. But there was barely enough for one of us. We won't be going back.

Honestly the best fish and chips I’ve had!

Very helpful reply to a message about current menu and pricing so that we could telephone order our Easter lunch for 8 of us to just drive down from Rockley Park and collect it! Lunchtime specials were delicious, we had several fish and chips, sausage and chips, cheeseburger and curry sauce. Would highly recommend, we will be going back 😊

Best fish and chips, I've had in a long time

Omg allways Friday has gone down hill incredibly as was really looking forward to our chippy supper and omg it was incredibly disappointing the food was dry and incredibly over cooked especially after calling ahead and told looking at it that it had just been cooked but got home batter was dry and hard and tasteless as for the chips well over cooked and dry again absolutely no taste so even though I live literally across the road I will now either drive into upton or poole and certainly will never order from here again !!!!!!

Nice staff but portion size vary and when you've got a fair few mouths to feed and you need large, it's very rarely a large size portion which is disappointing, especially when you spend a fair amount on the food.

Nice people but unfortunately their chips are awful. This is definitely the home of the soggy chip.

Had cod and chips twice, outstanding !! fresh clean chips, cod was crispy and flaky, staff so polite! Stopped on our way back to Lilliput on a whim, but will now make this our go to chip shop. Worth the travelling.

Not good today guys, chips were hard and dry and full of rotten pieces..disappointed.. Normally far better..

Just paid for 2 large cods 1 large chips 1 small chips. 1 of the fish was small portion. Joined 2 pieces of tail. Not even a small fish. First time customer won't be back

Took my Grandson for a treat. I have to say that apart from a little wait, it was well worth it. Lovely grub with friendly staff. Well done guys.

Staff are always friendly and welcoming, my order is always taken within a minute of walking in most of the time within 30secs. Food is always extremely good quality and its not to expensive either it's fairly priced. Love the idea of their stamps on the menu. Would highly recommend. They always get the right amount of salt and vinegar to.

Hit and miss. It’s been poor too many times. Old crispy chips and slimy batter. Won’t be returning.

Don't use this chippy if you don't want to fall ill with food poisoning. What I ordered must of been contaminated.

I have to leave a review about these fish and chips because they are consistently good. We usually have them if you’re out and about on a Sunday lunchtime as they are open all day Sunday and they are spot-on one of the best fish and chip shops around 😊

Always great service and great food!

Went for the first time the other week since moving to the area. Taking my order was quick but I was instantly put off by noticing that the fish was left out on the counter with multiple flies landing and having a great time. The chips were old and safe to say I know I got my food poisoning from here

Fabulous fish and chips! A queue waiting patiently for their orders is always a good sign. Honestly, the best batter we've ever had - beautiful and crisp, without drying the fish out too.

Normally our go to place, but fish (3 large cod between us) was completely tasteless with not a good texture. If I had been served it without ordering, I'd have not said it was even cod.

I ordered a large chips for £4.20 and portion sizes were small and the chips were horrible.

£22 for frozen/tasteless fish best thing was the chips

Got there at 9:35pm. It’s supposed to shut at 10pm and was closed. No sign to say “sorry we’ve closed early” or anything like that. Waste a fuel and waste of time. Sign on the door even says it shuts at 10pm. Disgraceful

Bit pricey for portion size, BUT !! Without doubt some of the best chips and fish I've had for ages. Do recommend 👌

Very disappointed very dry chips. The fish and chips were more expensive than it stated on their website about £3 more.

I have shopped at all-ways friday since it opened. 99 % of the time the food and and staff were top notch. But today the food was not good. The fish was over cooked to much batter. The chips there was under 1 scoop, was told that was it.

Very busy on Good Friday. I didn't fancy paying £11 for fish and chips, so settled for a portion of onion rings, chips and a pickled onion for £6.20. Onion rings were pretty average and the chips were very good. Will edit if I go back

Edit 10/01/2023 - Happy to say they seem to be back to their great tasting and quality food. Much more recommended. Original post - I used to love this place. Been using it since it opened. But recently the chips have become dry and old/refried. Tonight I had dry and old chips, the chicken burger was like chewing rubber. My wife's pineapple fritter was soggy and had no crisp at all. Sad to see it slide down, there are now much better options within a mile or so

Excellent. Staff were happy and friendly, chips were fluffy and hot, not too greasy. Battered sausage was perfect, and my wife had their home made fish cake, which was buttery and super tasty. First time here, and I'll definitely be back 👍👍

Had a great lunch from here, the fish was fresh, the chips were tasty. Portion sizes were good and the curry sauce was delicious. The staff were also very pleasant, altogether a lovely experience

Very clean chip shop, very pleasant and polite staff, lots of choices available, always cooked fresh to order. Only criticism i have, there is probably a few chips difference between the standard and the large, considering the large is more expensive you would expect a large portion size, not a standard with a few more chips on the side.

Served two other people behind me in the cue (must've been regulars - using first names) so, I turned around and walked out. Spent £35.00's worth on fish and chips down the road in Upton in The Phat Fryer - they were lovely, too!!!!

I can not believe how long they take to serve you ,they take your order make you wait and then serve everyone else so incredibly slowly its painful. Its honestly a joke as the 2 people in front of me agreed as we all cancelled our orders . One person taking money and wrapping up peoples food very slowly .i popped in for a small sausage and chips and was still waiting for it 25 minutes later before i cancelled and there were only 2 customers in front of me!!!!!!

We often take our dog to Hamworthy park & end the day with fish & chips from this first rate chippie. Never had better fish & chips than these...

Can't rate the fish Chips were incredibly greasy as early as 530pm on a Wednesday . Shop was clean and staff polite . Just really bizarre grease was soaking the paper. Possibly new staff member . Shame been good on previous occasions

We have always been a loyal customer, with consistently excellent Fish and Chips. We don’t normally eat from there on a Sunday, but today we did. It was disappointing. Chips we under cooked, and Batter on Cod was soggy 😭

Average fish and chips - fish wasn’t very crispy and chips were a bit undercooked. There are better places in the area serving better

Well I agree it is good quality there but I felt I have been had too. I was just visiting the area and I asked them for explanation on what I could get for the £2.50 deal several options were offered and I agreed on a small portion of fish. The price was not confirmed to me and when I offered to pay straight away they refused and said to paid after.....only once my food ready, it was not £2.50 but £4.95.....the portion was small but yes it was good quality I just wish for non familiar customer they would confirm the price to pay when you order to avoid the same experience being repeated. Thank you

We have been there three times recently and the quality has been somewhat variable , seemingly dependent upon who was frying that day. The fish and other sundries have generally been okay but the quality of the chips has been different each time.

The man serving is so friendly, if only all shop keepers were that welcoming. The chips were yum.

Chip portion sizes vary depending on who serves you. Large portions of chips are often not what you would call large at all.

Freshly cooked good quality good value Fish & Chips

Superb chippy, ordered for eight people and everything beautifully cooked. I loved the battered haggis fritter and battered black pudding. Great place you can't go wrong !

One of the best places for fish and chips and so look much more staff brilliant service fab could not ask for more
