All Things Nice in Melton

Open on Bank Holiday was a big plus but it was the range of meals which clinched our visit to All Things Nice. The girls, went for a toasted pannini each, my partner with Tuna and cheese, while Auntie had bacon and cheese. The lads had Cheeseburger with chips and sausage omelette with chips, a varied selection indeed! This along with drinks went down a treat. There were no complaints from table 2. Excellent service, the staff were friendly and helpful and we were served with meals that satisfied everyone.

This cafe is good on quick service and friendly but it was freezing and fish fingers and fish were well overcooked (fell apart) on cutting

Not often I bother writing a review but the pleasant Staff, Service, Food Speed and price have made me want to thank them and let others know that even a breakfast before work can be a pleasant experience (working in the area for weekend) So good we went back on the Sunday as well. Thank you.

Very busy at lunchtime but the food was quick and tasty. The staff were all very pleasant and really helpful. We had walked out of one well known pub chain because the the tables were uncleared and dirty. But here I noticed the tables were wiped immediately they were vacated. Well done all!

Fabulous service and food. We went with our 4 month old baby in the pushchair and staff were so helpful and friendly. Fantastic value for money menu with lots of variety. Will definitely be returning.

How do they do it for their prices , Found this cafe and so glad we did . The food was really good value for money . We ordered liver bacon with onions,mashed potatoes and peas . We followed up with apple pie and hot custard . They have such an extensive menu to choose from . I would recommend.

A bit like the curates egg, good in parts. Friendly waitress and customers. My wife enjoyed her breakfast but tha fish and chips were awful. Fish was like those you get out of a box at tesco and the peas were obviously out of a tin. Very poor.

Had breakfast for a family of eight. Between us we selected a range of breakfasts and all were good. I especially liked having a choice of 'fried bread' as an extra, which was really good, golden and crisp. Prices were very reasonable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely use as our first choice from now on.

Stopped off in Melton Mowbray looking for a nice cooked breakfast. We prefer giving our money to independent traders rather than chains and came across this place. Staff were very welcoming and prices were very good. We were wondering if the quality of the food would reflect the price but were very happy with the breakfasts we were served. We will definitely remember this place for next time we are passing.

Popped in for a coffee today, friendly staff, clean, and coffee was good. Sat outside in the sun and watched the world of Melton Mowbray - I would go again for sure

It was quite late for lunch and most places looked deserted at 2pm. It was a first visit to Melton Mowbray, but a very warm welcome from this cafe made it memorable. The choice of good value meals was amazing. Staff were friendly, service was quick and the food lovely. The decor was a bit basic, but clean and spacious and I'd rather have good food at reasonable prices than poor service/food in plush surroundings.

Stopped here - our first time in Melton Mowbray - on way back from Nottingham - and despite breakfast at hotel - we had breakfast here as well; was very filling and obviously all freshly cooked; a good range of choices - esp for vegetarian - and wasn't a problem asking for the odd change to the selection Given coffee and toast were included - price wise is extremely valuable - and the service was 2nd to none - very friendly, the owner greets everyone as if he knows them which makes you feel very welcoming.

We used to visit here and love the burgers. However for a change had a chicken curry, only 4 small pieces of chicken in the curry and paid £8 ! Poor value for the meal we got

Nice food and lovely staff, unfortunately let down by the grubby dated decor and the grumpy miserable owner who walks around looking like he wants to kill someone. His constant nasty outbursts towards his staff make for a very uncomfortable experience. There are plenty of other places in Melton to dine which offer a much more relaxing experience.

Plenty of coffee shops/cafes in Melton Mowbray, but this is our favourite. Cappuccino is quality taste at best price in town. Food menu is everything from toast, breakfast, main meals, jacket spuds and snacks. Lovely staff take orders at your table, ambience is light and bright.

Very friendly and immaculate cafe with nice seating area outside (was a lovely day). Staff very welcoming and efficient looked like some nice food from what we saw (we were just having a coffee). Glad we stopped by.

Called in while cycling on Sunday morning. A very warm welcome, friendly efficient service, great prices. It was warm Sunday so we enloyed the outside seating. Highly recommended.

Saturday evening and everywhere seems to be closing down. It's almost closing time but we are provided with a substantial meal of pie, chips and peas plus a drink. Cafe standard but very tasty Absolute life savers. Had breakfast there a couple of days later....

Came here during lunch hour was super busy but you could see staff were all working really hard to accommodate everyone. Panini was lovely and hot chocolate was delicious.

This was my first time visiting this café, and it will now be my go to place for breakfast when I'm in Melton Mowbray. I had a full English breakfast, and it was delicious. Really set me up nicely for my Sunday shopping trip out....

We visited here when we first arrived in Melton Mowbray and had an excellent all day breakfast. This got our break off to a flying start and was a great welcome to the town.

Went to this cafe a number of times over the last weekend for lunch and breakfast the food was well presented and cooked staff very friendly and welcoming will certainly visit again on our next visit from Cardiff

This establishment had a 4 star rating from the local authority ,which made us feel it would be ok . I don’t know how on Earth they got it , or how long ago. It certainly isn’t a four now. Staff were very pleasant , is the only good thing I can say . The place needs a good clean, and then some. The toilet left a lot to be desired , a really deep clean needed in there. Before you go through the door to the toilet was a open door leading to some stairs , laying on the floor was quite a bit of rubbish and a very dirty mouse trap . It is my intension to contact environmental health department as it is so bad.

The service was great, but the food was disappointing. I had the veggie breakfast option 1, It was not very warm and I felt that there could have been more choice in this veggie option.

Went for breakfast because local Premier Inn kitchen was shut. Had a really nice breakfast. Great choice from the menu. Very good value also and pleasant service. Would definitely recommend.

Popped in for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Good choice of various breakfasts, ours came with toast and coffee included. We had lattes and they were lovely and hot. Breakfast was amazing, fabulous and we have been back twice since.

We visited All Things Nice Cafe for breakfast on our way to Lincoln.We received a friendly welcome and the staff were most helpful in placing our order. Breakfast was well prepared and served quickly. We would have no hesitation in visiting this Cafe again in future!

It does exactly what it says on the tin! It's good value and the fish and chips is very tasty. The place looks a little tired but you can't knock great value at a great price

The food here is freshly cooked. It is honest value. The service is good. The prices are fair. I usually have fish and chips.

Our first visit, we stopped off at coffee break time. Latte was good and large. The scone I had was good too. This is a friendly cafe serving real food - much appreciated.

Stopped for a quick bite and look around MM. Waitress was very charming and friendly. I don’t stick to strict menu and they were accommodating to my request. Food was well cooked and tasty. Reasonably priced varied menu.

This cafe is on the fringe of the shopping centre of Melton Mowbray but only yards away from the Bell centre car park. The menu is extensive and all cooked to order. The chef is very adaptable and the waitresses will adjust the suggested meals to suit individual tastes. The food is better than a lot of places charging a lot more and served with a smile. Which goes a long way. They have only one toilet but it is clean and accommodates wheelchairs with ease. The only drawback is the cash only payment required but maybe they will review this in time.

Called here for a breakfast on a Saturday morning. The place was fairly full but we got served straight away. We opted for the full breakfast which comes with bread or toast and tea or coffee and is very good value. My wife wanted one item swapped out for another, which was accommodated without question.

Daughter, grandson 4 years, and myself call in here when we meet up, for food and drinks, they cater for my green tea request and my grandson's preferences. A very good comprehensive cafe menu and reasonably priced. Clean and helpful staff. Only downside they don't take cards, cash only.

We've eaten here several times on our visits from Leicester, there's something for just about everyone on the menu at prices that don't bust the bank and portion sizes to fill the hungriest belly. I recommend the liver and bacon with chips and gravy

I visited Melton Mowbray to get the Christmas pork pies and cheeses. My first such Christmas trip for a couple of years. All Things Nice was still there, so I gave it another go. Despite what I think is a 'rubbish' name, this place really does give value for money. On my last visit I went for fish and chips, and felt value for money was right on the mark. Previously, I had noticed another diner tucking into a big plate full of sausage, egg, bacon and the like. Thus, this time, I looked at that part of the menu. They offer about four different versions of an all day breakfast. I went for the one with chips, and my friend chose one more tomato based.

We came to Melton on a cold November day and were pleased to find this little gem of a cafe.

Mother and I had our lunch here yesterday - Jacket potato with salad and different fillings. A plateful of good food for very reasonable price. No waiting, although very busy and helpful staff. A nice break on our day trip to Melton Mowbray market.

Buscando algo para llenar la brecha, nos encontramos con este pequeño lugar. Buenos tentempiés a lo largo de las líneas básicas del transporte caffs pero sabrosa comida de alta calidad, servido por un personal muy agradable. No hay lujos, recibes mejor de lo que se paga con precios muy buenos. Mesas vacías (y suelo alrededor de ellos) aclaró cuando un partido de izquierda y ordenado para el próximo ocupante.

Gran café con personal servicial que no te importa contestar mis preguntas (escondido) de productos lácteos en las cosas, lo que significa que tuvimos una excelente comida gratis de preocuparse. La comida era fresca, sabrosa y llegó rápidamente. Era la hora del almuerzo en un día ajetreado mercado con mi niña y mis padres y volveremos. El cuarto de baño es grande, accesible y tiene una buena unidad para cambiar a los bebés.

We have eaten here regularly for several years. The staff are friendly and the service always quick and efficient. The surroundings are clean and pleasant, with tables for two to 8 or more people. This is a place much used and recommended by locals of all ages.The menu is very varied. Soups, sandwiches, panini, salads, burgers, all day breakfast and full roast dinners. Every generous serving is freshly prepared in the kitchen, which is visable behind the counter. The prices are very affordable. We often say that we do not know how they serve such good and generous portions for the price. 'All Things Nice' is enthusiastically recommended.

If you pop into Melton and are looking for a nice traditional café with quick service and wide variety of meals this place is perfect. Open EVERY day and close to the centre and cattle market this place is very convenient and brilliant for money. It is a typical greasy spoon café but at the same time you can also get something healthy. In addition there is seating outside so on a sunning day it is a nice spot to sit with a cold drink

An absolutely archetypal British cafe...the place was heavingly busy. The menu is huge and prices are very reasonable. The food quality is basic at best. We found the floor and window ledges are not that clean.My baked potato was very over microwaved.

came to visit 10th November 2014 .with now ex wife when I visited from Scotland. I enjoyed breakfast cheese on toast plus 2 coffees . service from staff was good . I'm pleased to hear my ex wife and her friends still sit in the window where I sat on my visit .absent friends

Good quality food . Reasonable prices. Good coffee. Will return. Always full by 9am on a Saturday. That says a lot in its self.

Hungry after a walk round Melton Mowbray spotted this cafe. Looked a bit like a greasy Joe's but was spotlessly clean. Lovely atmosphere with friendly efficient staff. We opted for cheese and ham omlettes with salad or peas. Chips were just cooked right but large portion and omlette, although 2 eggs, was huge as well. Very enjoyable but being seniors, the quantity beat us so had to leave some food.

We had gone to Melton Mowbray on a pork pie and cheese run. I needed something to eat. Saw this café/restaurant called All Things Nice and had a good laugh at such a name as I personally thing the word Nice is a pathetic overused word. What about All Great Food? Anyway the place looked busy enough and the prices were fine, so we gave it a go. The men was varied with plenty of choice. Placed our order and the food was soon served. The staff were friendly and the place was tidy. I had ordered fish and chips, and then whilst waiting noticed that someone on the next table was tucking into what looked like a pretty good all day breakfast. Anyway no problems wit the fish and chips. Not the best I have ever had, but good enough for the money and the type of place it was. A black coffee was ordered but a frothy one arrived, and the mushy peas were not what I call mushy peas. Despite this I am giving good marks to the place because it does what it says on the tin, the waitress was young and made me laugh, the place was busy and clean, and the food was good value for money, and the sun was shining! Although well in land this was the sort of place you often try to find when at the coast - a good value for money eating place packed out with locals - you know its going to be 'nice'! Sorry - just being picky - if the name works for the owners good for them. I liked this place because it was what it was, and I really felt I got my monies worth. Would I go again? If in the area again - yes I would.
