All Star Lanes Stratford in Newham

I cannot emphasis enough people should not even step foot into Allstar lanes Stratford. It has been the worst experience I have ever had anywhere. The lack of communication, rudeness of staff everything from the get go has been the most unprofessional and unpleasant establishment to have ever come across. I honestly do not know how it is open. 2 members of our party are quite big on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. They will be putting together a detailed post eview to make sure people avoid this place. I have never not trusted a place more and was nearly left in tears by the rudeness of blasé attitude of staff. AVOID

Arranged a month in advance for a 8yr old birthday party (10 Children to bowl and eat &9 adults eat) exchanging emails and phone calls to confirm all and had to pay 16 days in advance. On arrival my booking could not be found! I showed the confirmation email several times to 5 different staff members including a manger and was given two lanes. Asked about the restaurant as was informed we were the first for lunch so I could decorate the table 15-20mins before. This was not the case as they once again stated head office did not communicate my booking with them! I had 10children and 9adults. They offered a table for the 10 children and even though their policy stated children are to be supervised I had to request to speak with the manager as the staff were rude and extremely disrespectful. No customer service skills or communication skills whatsoever! The manager sent a message with a staff member to seat the adults on the floor opposite the bar! Safety hazard they wanted children aged 3-8 to sit on their own on a different floor out of eye sight! I booked in advance and I was told that it isn’t anything to do with them and I would have to contact head office!! Ordered drinks and then told hot drinks machine was broken and was brought dirty glasses with no juice for the children! I asked several times regarding the juice and had no host like I was informed I would had. Don’t waste your time or money on this place or these people as I am yet to receive a refund as the manager didn’t want to take any responsibility as told me to contact head office as they where not made aware of my booking! I was meant to be copied into email she did in the evening I’m still waiting! I had to end up finding another place to host and seat adults with children at short notice which was extremely stressful. I want a full refund!!

Slow service. Food was ok. Only redeeming quality was the kareoke was fun. Although it would have been nice if the staff didn’t keep disturbing us & just heir a tab hit drinks!

Do not go, booked bowling and brunch. Turned up and the bowling lane was not working so had to wait for another group to finish, then was told the brunches weren’t running at 5pm even though it was booked and confirmed online by a team member ?! Rude staff and no compensation.

Came here during a peak period and was pleasantly surprised by how attentive the staff were. Not only were we served in minutes but also received our food swiftly. Would definitely recommend for a fun outing with friends/ family!

I’ve visited this place before, but this time was so disappointed. When I booked I was not aware that there was no food being served at this location whatsoever, so we were very hungry. The bowling shoe hire counter was also closed and blocked off, so we turned up wearing inappropriate shoes thinking we could change them. We had to seek someone out to get drinks and then we’re told we should have waited until someone approached our table at the lane, but no one ever did the whole time we were there, and I’m certain no one would have. We were there on a Saturday for the promised “bowl and beats” but no DJ ever turned up from 7:00-8pm on a Saturday… The floor was disgustingly dirty (I know because I once removed my shoes in the hopes of performing better at bowling) and this made me hyper aware of how dirty all the surfaces were. Won’t be going back to this location.

Great place, nice and clean. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. A bit tricky to find due to the layout of Westfield but once we were there we had a good time.

Had an amazing Experience, Lifesaver while these tube strikes are going on! Will definitely be returning when I’m next in Stratford. Shoutout to Marcus for recommending a top tier cocktail!

Have not been here in a long time so me and a friend thought we should try it out. The manager took about 5 mins to decide if he should seat us even though there were loads of spaces to sit. It took a while to grab someone's attention to take an order. Drinks were lovely, we had a few cocktails so a defo must have. It's hard to grab the staffs attention as they are either not around or they all stand in a corner laughing and chatting. Food is just not rated..I had a chicken dish which was smothered in buffalo sauce which was not nice and very spicy. We asked 3 people for a dessert menu and they never brought it over. Had to ask again before we got one. Even that was horrible. The brownie was so doughy and cold. Would not come back here. Its crazy. Food is not nice. And the staff are very unprofessional and are just there to have a chat in all honesty. Avoid at all costs. Will not be back here. Its a shame as this place was amazing when it first opened.

Yeah very disappointed been to the Brick Lane location and the service was phenomenal here erm yeah it's a mall bowling alley. Cashless bar. A waitress walked past me and belched so loud I looked up. The prices are reasonable and the happy hour is great compared to others in Westfield. Bar guys are polite and sweet. Cocktails really good. But it's packing atmosphere. It falls flat. Manager stomps around like she's busy and there's hardly anyone in here. It's a beautiful space. Shared toilet it's a unisex and disabled in one. Toilet roll on top of the bin and there's a savers hand-wash instead of the usual nice decanter style this brand offers. I rated 2 cause 3 would mean it's acceptable but as I've been to another branch which I farted a 5 it falls below par.

Vi var 3 personer som skulle spise lunch. Vi bestilte , men etter en stund fikk vi vite at to av de bestilte rettene var utsolgt. Vi bestilte på nytt, men også denne hangen ble det feil. En av oss fikk ikke matt i det hele tatt. Maten var sånn passe, men servicen var under enhver kritikk😡

What fun! Went with a bunch of mates that hadn't seen for a while. Sadly I lost terribly at the bowling but we had such a laugh and loved that could order directly to our lane so didn't have to move. The team were great fun and made sure that we were well looked after. Definitely be back!

We visited All Star Lanes in October and we were heavily overcharged on our pre- booking. I have sent several emails since then but still have not received a refund. If you take the risk of pre-booking your lane / meal package here, please be very sure to check how much you are charged because their ability to provide a refund is appalling.

Bowling was generally good up to the last few frames where the pin setting machine was bugging out (lane 2). Told them at the shoe counter and they said they'd reset it, however it reset all the pins and didn't properly count pins hit after that moment. Happened again for the next few players. Staff were as helpful as they could be but the buggy game did spoil it. Also had to have food as part of the booking as it was peak. Cutlery was dirty and sticky. However, the buttermilk chicken burger was really tasty.

I’m so disappointed with this place ! We did not go for bowling, just for something to eat and it was so upsetting. Firstly, the waitresses were really unfriendly and acted like they didn’t care. The bartender rang the bell at least 5 times for a waitress to go get our cocktail to the point where my partner just got up and took it to the table himself. The food was very disappointing too, the macaroni was just bland and almost soup like? My spicy chick meal was very poorly done, the chicken was an odd colour and we both left with our stomachs feeling uneasy… Table was dirty too and so were the water glasses when we sat down, i tried to wave someone down but the waitresses were just by their station talking, laughing and on their phones. Not even a check up on how our meal/drinks are, little things matter. Avoid for food, probably only good for bowling.

We had a great evening with work colleagues. We pre-booked our lanes as it can get really busy. Ideal for everyone friends, family with children, solo, team building...cocktails recipe need some improvement as we had a glass filled with just ice cubes and barely the drink itself. Food was awesome. The guy who served us was knowledgeable and helped us with the menu and recommendations. Cant wait for our next bowling game

I like go there and play bowling but the drink they make like cocktails it’s terrible: 1kg sugar and alcohol. The only drink good it’s gin with bottle of some spritz drink. The cocktails need be improve .

I had a great time playing 2 rounds of bowling with my friends and then having lunch together. Really cheap prices and high quality food. The free wifi, unlike the normal public wifi that barely has any signal is very strong at any area. Fun for both parents and children alike, I wish i could've stayed longer. You'll never find a better bowling area anywhere else in London.

Came here for bowling and dinner with friends. The music and atmosphere is great but the whole place needs some investment, it just seems tired and a bit shabby in places.

Been here a few times and the food has mostly been quite good. Today the food was awful. My kids had the kids buttermilk chicken, tough, reheated chicken, no beans, two measly bits of chicken. The ketchup is not great, think they’re trying to be different but kids want regular ketchup. My buttermilk chicken burger was dry. I asked what it came with, was offered chips or salad, chose salad, which was a tiny bowl of lettuce and some other bits, but there was SO much vinegary dressing that there was a puddle at the bottom of the bowl. The cucumber was basically pickled. Inedible. THEN I realised that I had paid £3.50 for that salad. Unreal. I would have complained but by the time the cheque came, their server went down and we had to wait 20 minutes just to pay. My server did her best, which admittedly wasn’t much, more training required here. The wheels were definitely coming off in the restaurant, one waitress smashed a whole tray of glasses right beside someone’s seat. I would usually excuse some of this, it there were less than 10 people in the restaurant when all this was occurring, no excuse for bad service and food. Maybe the fact that it was so empty on a fri lunchtime speaks volumes. Won’t be back to eat.

My husband and I went for brunch yesterday for the first time at All Star Lanes and we absolutely loved it! Their chicken and waffles with bacon were so tasty, made well presented and well cooked.The waffles were freshly made not from a packet which was nice. For a native Canadian this really hit home, and they had root beer, what more could a Canadian ask for! We asked for extra maple syrup which was no problem at all for our hostess/waitress who was also really friendly and gracious, I think her name was Koey. The decor was good, very retro and the bathrooms were very clean so they passed the test. We only had brunch but would definitely come back with a group of friends to have a meal and play bowling.

Busy place with lots going on. Filled with young kids. Service is slow. Food is ok, nothing extraordinary.

After waiting a little while for our food, we were all pleasantly surprised with the food. Portions were large and very tasty. A couple of us ordered the peri-peri chicken and it tasted sooooo much better than the well known branded chicken restaurant across the way. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only grumble would be that the music was very loud and it was quite hard to chat but it is a family friendly restaurant with bowling alley so I guess noise is to be expected. Nice

Only visited a couple of times for drinks and they have a very good happy hour, it’s longer than an hour and for several days. Good value for money.

KOEY the waitress is actually fantastic, best ever service I've actually had. I had a rubbish burger and she literally helped me choose an alternative meal. The choice was spot on!!! Diligent, trustworthy and hard working.

Went here on our first night in the London area. Mac and cheese, two salads, a cheeseburger and 2 drinks. Over $100 US! Food was ok, but not expecting that large of a bill for what we got! Plenty of other options to explore!

Visited here recently for a work night out - hadn't been bowling in years and had a great time, though the technology wasn't great as had a couple of instances during our games where our lane had to be reset due to it stopping/breaking down.

I'm regular customer in AllStar Lanes bad I never had that but services like today. It was 5 of us and we ordered classic cocktails. It was impossible to drink 3 of them because taste was alcohol and sugar. So we asked our server if we can at any chance change them for new one. The result was that the bartender just add more juice. I'm professional Bartender so I know that is not the way to fix that kind of drinks. Also because I'm regular customers in this restaurant I know that the taste it wasn't right.After that we was eating dinner. Restaurant wasn't busy, waitress was passing next to us many times and they had a lot of time to happy conversation about them life but we was waiting 25 minutes to clean our table after mines(the plates were placed together on one part of the table) at that point we ordered 2 desserts and we was waiting for them 37 minutes which mean one hour from finished main meal to have desserts. Also in ladies toilet wasn't any toilet paper. We really enjoyed bowling and food but service was horrible I feel like in McDonald's - no one care, give me money and go home...

I will not choose this brunch any more to have a proper drink. During our visit we ordered 2 cocktails and with both of them we had problems. Classic cocktail like Pinacolda should be done correct. I am a regular customer and honestly someone doesn't follow simple recipe. If you put in something tones of sugar it doesn't mean it's better. Maybe it was someone during training but in this case experienced bartender should check quality. The rest of the service was nice,expect 25 minutes waiting for cleaning table and another 20 for dessert. I can't say I didn't enjoy my visit but you guys should pay more attention to the details.

Pre booked the bowling. Was quite busy due to everyone out celebrating with their families. Ordered a round of drinks, 2-4-1. Way too much ice in the drinks but otherwise was tasty. Bowling was very enjoyable. Sat down for dinner after. Food did take a while to come out even though we only ordered mains. The food was very tasty. If you have a big appetite then go for the ribs, my family seemed to enjoy it. I was just happy with my burger.My dads second drink order was completely forgotten until right at the end when they cleared 2 of the plates away. Was quite pricey for the 4 of us. Not sure if I would go back as a family, couples would be better.

Everything started very well, when it arrive the time to pay. The lady who charged me try to trick me, adding up in my bill an extra thing I didn't have. That messed all the amazing night to a horrible, felt robbed from a place where I been already few times. Never gonna go back, be careful, double check your bills.

We had bowling and dinner and all was so smooth with great customer service. We were a little late because the trains were messed up but they were still able to give us our game on the lanes. Melissa in the restaurant was really lovely and helpful and the food and drinks were served very swiftly. My partner and I had a great time and recommend to anyone looking for a fun evening (or day!)

I went there with my girlfriend and we had a really good night playing bowling. Cocktails were very nice and food too.. One of the guy on the reception it was very helpful. Explain to us the rule of the game and how to play. If I remember his name was Michele. Definitely I’ll go back

Visited Westfield Stratford All star lanes before seeing Muse in concert. Great selection of cocktails and well made. Food was brilliant highly recommend the burgers and halloumi fries.

We were here on a birthday party, the food was great however the ketchup was to disappointing standard. I recommend not using the ‘Sauce Shop tomato ketchup’. I’m not sure wether it is the same for all dishes yet the one we were served with didn’t appeal to the taste of the guests nor birthday girl. Another disappointing factor was that the orange juice seemed to taste slightly of an alcohol, having children try this is not acceptable and appalling and can be treated seriously, we complained to staff about this and they were quick to realise the mistake, they gave us another cup yet this incident shouldn’t have occurred in the first place. It also occurred earlier and happened twice. The adults of the party have also agreed and decided not to eat dessert worried about the health and safety quality of the food. The money wasn’t clarified to be refunded and we had to wait a long period of time before the staff let us know what would happen, yet having customers worrying about what their eating is not something a restaurant wants. I suggest the restaurant works more on their food and kitchen as this birthday party wasn’t so happy after all.

Food was very nice and the service was perfect !! For a restaurant in London (where customer service is not at best) I was plesently surprised to be given such a lovely welcoming and believed the man serving me actually cared how my day is! I will return to this restaurant again and tell other people about it too !

We did some last minute bowling with the kids on the last day of the school holidays today, we chose to go for the bowl and dine option. I must say, the staff were extremely friendly and the kids had a great time.

Cramped space for bowling. Staff are a bit acopic and struggling to manage small queues. Bowling is fun, but would be fun wherever. Food takes a lot NG time to arrive. Staff have variable customer service. Watch out because the prices on the menu don't always correlate with prices charged. Definitely paid less to have a better time. Extensive bar seating area but limited food seating area. If you sit in the bar seating area you don't have table service yet they charge you for service charge. Overall disappointed.

Once in a while you get a hankering for a good solid brunch after a lie-in on the weekend. And All Star Lanes is one of my two favourite places to go for this. So last weekend, I easily convinced my partner that I couldn't be arsed to make breakfast and that we should head out to All Star Lanes instead. Once again, they didn't disappoint. The Lebowski is particularly recommended if you're feeling hungry. My other half is also fond of the buttermilk chicken. It's the perfect size, the coffee is great and the service is quick and friendly.

Had Nicholas Notovich as our waiter here last weekend. Extremely polite, very helpful. All orders were delivered correctly and on time. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

my friend and i were 'greeted' by a very rude eastern european lady on reception who clearly would rather be anywhere else than helping, who kept smirking at every customer from her seat. after our first game because the website only lets you book one, we asked for a second game where another, smaller eastern european lady told us we couldn't. although it didn't look to busy, she told me they were until much later that evening. i asked the price and she told me and my friend that it would be 9.99 for another game each. her body language suggested she had already made up our minds for us, so we had a drink on the lanes instead, where somebody else working there told us it was 7.50 each or 2 games for £10. after nearly an hour and lots of empty lanes later, we decided to head elsewhere instead, due to being lied to by the reception girl. other staff seemed lovely, but wouldn't come back again if the two ladies were 'serving'

Very efficient even though it was a very busy Thursday night. We were checked in for bowling swiftly, our names were we entered for us and we were offered drinks whilst bowling. The change from bowling alley to restaurant was smooth, although they sometimes forgot about us as we were in a corner.

We booked a work night out for 36 people, great food, prompt drinks, the venue was buzzing and the customer service was excellent. A big thank you to Taylor and Klodi. Highly recommended.

Had such a great time today and despite it being the Christmas period, our food arrived quickly and the staff were amazing - if you get Lorenzo as your server, you’re in luck...very attentive and warm and he suggests the perfect drink to accompany your meal. Top man! Will come back for sure

This was our Christmas works do, firstly with an hours bowling which you can’t fail on, followed by dinner at the restaurant within.

I found the visit really really poor. In particular the bar serve doubles instead of singles without asking you. There’s a tiny sign on the wall but nobody can really see it. This meant that they obviously make more money but my colleague was driving and was over the limit. Dirty inside. Bowling was expensive and chaotic. Drinks were poorly made. Very cheap practice to serve doubles as standard. Avoid if possible.

The good points, good service and nice cheese cake. The steak was nicely cooked and presented, but very chewy - cheap meat. Not clear why it’s highly rated, guess the bowling is good. Wouldn’t come again.

We came here as 13 adults and 3 children.
