Visiting an establishment that titles itself 'All Mine Cakes . . .' we had the impression that we would be presented with a display of cakes from which to make our choice. A grave error! No cakes on display at all, the nearest to 'cakes' is a blackboard listing what is available, which I was advised to take a photograph and make our choice at our table. It seemed significant that scones were on display and a large number of customers ordered scones. During our visit no one ordered cake - you do not order what you cannot see. Reading through the menu the outstanding point was the price for each item. Far from saying the prices were a rip-off, they seemed 'over the top' (in my opinion). Most probably the quality is very good, but not that good. Still - you have to try these things once, I just have to ensure I do not make the same mistake twice.

All mine regret. Cake was extremely sickly, I appreciate that it is a gluten free cafe, but the substitute for flour shouldn't be copious amounts of sugar. Staff shouting names in order to identify customers on the decking is a ridiculous system. What's wrong with table numbers? - Not very professional and seems unorganised. Once was enough .

Nice spot but not worth the price.Long queue ordered 3 different cakes my Bramley apple cake was soggy and did not taste of apple at all.Thougjt nearly 7pounds for a scone very pricey there are no prices on the cakes when you go to the till.Brought order out had not put our hot chocolate on order.Been to some nice places with lovely views with reasonable prices.Dont think this is worth a second visit.

Lovely place for a little get together! My friends and I wanted to treat ourselves and catch up, especially after a difficult few months for us all. This was exactly the place to do it, the atmosphere was perfect. Our server was called Helen and she went out of her way to help my friend who struggles in social situations unless she feels completely comfortable. Very friendly and warm service, beautiful delicious cakes.

What a fabulous 100% gluten free cafe. We had lunch and then breakfast the next morning. The food was amazing and you would not have known it was gluten free. Good sized portions. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Highly recommend it.

The food is really good here, as is the service/ staff and setting. They offer Blue Light Card discount too. My only negative is the price of some of the items. They are extortionate. I understand it is gluten free but it makes it hard for a family to enjoy a meal there. The full English is between £13 and £15 ( near enough) and you don’t even get toast with that. I think we were charged an extra £2.95 for 2 slices of toast. At that price you would expect to get at least a slice.

An excellent cafe by the lake. It is fully gluten free ( dairy free catered for too) Although the food is as good if not better than non gluten free food A good selection of cakes. Breakfasts and breakfast butties, open sandwiches, pancakes. The chips are amazing Staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend a visit

This place has a nice setting but is Absolutly ludicrously priced £23 for 3 drinks(1 hot and 2 cold) & 2 cakes which were presented to us in a packet which we had to open and place on the plate ourselves. Tiny cakes for £6!!! I noticed on the counter they were selling fresh sourdough bread- a small plate sized bun for £8.95! Not a chance will I return at these prices. there are more beautiful places very locally which are much better value for money

Very happy with our first visit here. I found All Mine Cakes via a gluten free Facebook page, as a coeliac I was pleasantly surprised to see so many gluten free options. We sat by the lake in the sunshine, I ordered a coffee and chip butty, my other half ordered a coffee and breakfast sandwich. This came to just over £30 which is rather expensive. So visiting will be a rare treat rather than a regular visit unfortunately. The food & drinks were delicious & good quality. Staff were polite and we had an overall good experience, our dog can sit outside with us too. We took a nice stroll into Southwell. I'd definitely recommend family & friends to visit. We'll go again in a few months perhaps when our bank account has recovered! 😂

Absolutely terrible. Had to wait outside before being offered a table. Then had to find a table, read the 8 menus before going back up to the counter to order. The prices were extortionate, the chips soggy and full of fat, buttery and heavy scone. Coffee was cold before food arrived. Outside door was slammed constantly by staff, not customers. No customer service. Flooded carpark. An utterly miserable experience. Take my advice and save your money!

We’ve been here a few times. It is a really lovely spot with a terrace against a small fishing lake. It was a warm afternoon for the time of year and relaxing watching the fish jump was wonderful. We had 2 small coffees, a single portion of fries and 2 sausage rolls. They were all very nice but the main criticism is the price. It is very expensive and this light snack came in at £25. Lovely to visit but the old adage ‘you get what you pay for’ is particularly apt here. Be warned you need deep pockets.

We love love love this gem of a place! Visit a few times a year due to distance, but well worth the visit. Savoury or sweet you won’t be disappointed it’s all delicious 😋 We sit out on the terrace with the dog. Always have cake can’t resist and if we can’t fit them in we take them home! Hayley and her team are friendly and everything runs smoothly. We don’t have any allergy’s or intolerance food wise, but admire the ethos of the tea room. We usually do the trail with the dog can highly recommend!

We came for my daughters birthday and she is coeliac. The staff were so lovely and friendly. When ordering the lady behind the till was extremely welcoming and helpful with recommendations. Unfortunately, the french toast had sold out which proves how good the food is! My daughter loved her food and we couldn't even tell it was gluten-free. The whole menu is coeliac-friendly which is something we've never come across plus it's a dog friendly establishment as well. We will definitely be coming back, can't rate it highly enough.

Extremely disappointing. Lovely views (and guess that’s what the escalated prices reflect!). We arrived late morning for coffee and cake. We were welcomed by a very frosty and unwelcoming member of staff (hardly what you would expect for front of house!) and proceeded to order coffee and scones which we decided to enjoy outside in the sunshine. We sat away from anyone else and our drinks and scones arrived in good time. We’d just started to sit back and enjoy our coffees when the frosty front of house person came over and told my husband not to vape any more as it wasn’t allowed on their premises. This is absolutely fine but there was no signage up indicating this ‘policy’ or indeed was he creating a nuisance to other customers. We promptly drank our coffees and ate our very salty scones (not at all worthy of the £5.95 price tag) and left. Bad move, we had walked from Farnsfield and would have enjoyed another coffee before moving on but this being our first visit, we won’t be visiting again.

My friend and I visited here for a light lunch, looking at the menu decided it was pricey for lunch, we then opted for coffee and cake , which was written on a board with crossings out, when I asked if they had any cheese scones the lady serving said they had all gone and another lady snapped and said you can see it’s crossed out, well actually I couldn’t because it was crossed out. Non of the staff were smiling or friendly. We will not return

This was our first visit here and I do have Mixed feelings. It is definitely set in a lovely location and very busy, which is always a good sign. The food we observed others have looked appetising, but i can only comment on the coffee and cakes. We were told to choose a table and put our order in at the counter; so far so good. Choice of cakes were vast and written on a bill board. This required me to take an image on my phone in order to take back to my elderly mother. This would have been a lot easier if she could have seen what she was ordering as she got a little confused reading them out. For those who are diagnosed with dementia often require visual clues to aid understanding and can’t relay on their memory as to what a Victoria sponge looks like. The only cakes correctly displayed were scones. The remaining were wrapped in a paper/cellophane bag, making it almost impossible to see the cake on offer. It would have been a lot better to be able to see the cakes on offer, as in other establishments. Failing this take photos of them and laminate on the tables to aid others.

Really attractive place overlooking a fishing lake. Adequate parking, dog friendly and a pretty hamlet to look around if you fancy a short walk. The food was good, a little pricey but nice and we enjoyed it. We were greeted at the door, told to sit anywhere and order from the counter. So we looked at the menu, decided what to eat and stood like lemons in a painfully slow queue at the counter. Servers were forever walking through the queue carrying food and hot drinks. The queue was snaking out the entrance door, newly arrived people were trying to get into the building, diners were trying to get out the building and people were trying keep their place in the queue. It’s messy, it’s awkward and it’s inconvenient. Why not do table service. I long for table service the way they do it in France, Germany, Czechia etc. It took 10 minutes queueing to order food, please have a rethink and consider your customers who are there to relax, eat, talk, take tea and enjoy the experience. Nobody loves queueing, table service would make this a truly great place, give you more room for tables, free up waiting staff and make everyone happy.

After hearing great things about this place we were a little underwhelmed. We had a breakfast each which was nice but overpriced for what we received. We looked forward to a cake for pudding! Where were the cakes?! They were in little packages or a choice of cheese or fruit scones. I had imagined a display of inviting Victoria sandwich, coffee cake, carrot cake etc under glass lids to chose from. We would go back for a coffee as we enjoyed the walk but wouldn’t bother again with the food. As a couple we spent £50 on 2 (average sized breakfasts (no toast or bread included), 4 coffees and 2 pieces of cake.

My partner and I visited yesterday (Sunday) at 12.45. The greeting that we received from a member of staff was unwelcoming and gave the impression of ‘what do you want’. We were told once we had ordered that there was a 30minute wait on food, despite the cafe not being full and with several empty tables. 40minutes later our food still hadn’t arrived - we went to check on our order and it had gotten lost/beenforgotten. We asked for a refund as the staff seemed more concerned with trying to find the ticket as opposed to making the situation right. Incredibly disappointed as we have enjoyed the food here previously. The atmosphere unfortunately feels chaotic and results in orders going missing and leaving customers dissatisfied.

Stopped off on our Southwell walk for coffee and cake, beautiful location with professional hardworking staff. Coffee was hot tasty and well presented and we had the Brookie and Scone with the Brookie being really tasty but unfortunately the scone although fresh that day was so dry and just crumbled away even after we asked for it to be warmed up to hopefully make it more appetising. We will be back as the cooked food and other assortments are great but will give the scones a miss.

We called for coffee as we had driven past once before. The setting is lovely and the sun was shining so all the better. We ordered coffee and a coke for our son which was a pretty standard price today. My son wanted a snack and I could only see kettle crisps or a chocolate orange twirl which he didn’t like so I looked at the cake choices with him and he chose a skittles cookie slice. It was small and served in a sealed bag on a plate and it cost £4.95!!!!! Had my son not been stood with me I would have cancelled the order it was extortionately priced and was not worth the money. Not sure any skittles cookie cake anywhere would be worth £4.95 I just felt ripped off 😬

We arrived thinking , well it must be good as people are queuing !! Through the bitterly cold rain and sleet we persevered, thinking it must be worth it , as no one left the line. At last 48 mins later we were at the...

Called here today whilst cycling the Southwell trail and wish we hadn't. There was 2 people in the queue in front of me and it took 20 minutes to progress to the front where a very condescending woman explained to me the workings of a...

Fantastic place for options & variety As I always struggle with gluten free available when I’m out with family . Usually limited choice . Enjoyable drink & choices of cakes Plus the views of the lake were amazing on a sunny day

Lovely location next to a lake and plenty of parking. Excellent ‘Covid’ rules. £5.95 for a sausage butty. The bread was stale and the sausages had obviously been cooked earlier in the day and kept warm, so they too had gone a bit hard and...

We queued up for about 10 mins , good system 1 in 1 out policy . However we were told loads of rules about what to do which were a bit confusing . Even the people behind us said so . We got our cake , drinks and chips which were amazing and delicious , however we couldn’t eat in the car park or on the site (sat on a fence or rock ) . Bit annoying as we walked 5 miles from bilsthorpe down the Southwell trail and wanted a stop and a energy break . So we leant on a fence down the road . Would recommend the shop and food , just confusing rules .

Visited here at the weekend, nice location, very clean and friendly staff. Personally it’s “over COVID secure”, I’ll echo another review where they mentioned moderate queue but too longer waiting times. Food was nice..... but the £30 for a toastie, a chip butty, water, hot choc and a sausage roll is way too over priced. In comparison, we paid less for an evening takeaway with hot food over the weekend. Not sure I’d be happy to pay the price again for the return.

Always liked going for a good coffee before, but went for a takeaway and my advice is don’t bother. Wanted three coffees massive wait despite a moderate queue. How they get it so wrong is beyond me. Wont be going back til lockdown over.

On a beautiful day we decided to visit our favourite cafe by the lake. Why would you not when they do everything they can to make it a safe experience. The food is always excellent and proper tea and coffee. As I passed Hayley's husband on our way out I mentioned if all establishments treated their customers with such care and cleanliness then this dratted Covid may have been defeated by now. Keep up the good work and the beautiful food.

Visited to use the outdoor space to catch up with a different household. There is free parking and plenty of it, we received a warm welcome at the door with an explanation of the procedures in place for Covid and it was so well organised. We were allowed inside in our separate family group to order and then outside to choose your seating. There is a tipi, marquee and heaters so very comfortable for a cooler day. The drinks and cakes arrived quickly and they were lovely. Everything is bagged so you can also take away. A bonus for our friend was it’s all GF and there is plenty of choice. You can’t walk the lake but there is a nice walk to the Southwell trail 5 minutes from the car park. Lovely place and we felt very safe.

Great standard of cleanliness during the covid crisis. I was a little dissatisfied with the price and the fact everything is served in either bags or card board boxes. Very difficult to eat a breakfast out of a box. The price was expensive for the portion size. You don’t get any bread with your breakfast and £8 for the veggie breakfast - for 2 sausage, 2 small mushrooms, spoonful of beans, 1 egg and five tiny tomatoes on the vine. Definitely not worth the price

Had been meaning to give this place a go for weeks, as we constantly drove past the sign. Never got the opportunity for one reason or another. So we took a chance and gave it a whirl on a weekday. It was very nice, welcoming, etc, etc. However, the prices did seem way off the scale for what appeared when the order arrived. It was very expensive and not THAT good to be honest. You don't mind paying a premium when the quality is top notch, but this really wasn't. No better than what you would expect to find in a supermarket and twice the cost. We left bitterly disappointed and still a bit hungry.

I went on sun and they did my daughter's meal wring and then they didn't have any wraps left for her to have it so had to get a refund. Then I ordered my food at 11.27 and asked for a cooked breakfast to be told that had now stopped and was now a carvery which I ordered with a take out coke. Told they would bring out my meat for me. Waited 30 mins for this only not had it brought to me. And during this time I ordered a burger for one of our party and he received that and o was still waiting .Went to complain and ask for my money back only to be told by the the staff that I didn't order one and she was really rude. I explained it was the other girl who served me and told her how I paid and what money I paid with consisted of. Only to be told again I hadn't ordered anything. Then she spoke to the other who confirmed this and she then said she would give me a refund no apology or anything.

I had a coffee and a scone . It is expensive and the scone was ok but nothing special ,it was crumbly . The staff were friendly . It isn’t very smart inside , not because it’s an old building but needs improvement .

First time I ordered a takeaway and my order was not accepted and declined as informed by Just Eat. Ordered well before 4pm but took until gone 6pm for them to decline.

As one earlier contributor mentioned it is ‘card only’ but is clearly stated on the door. What a wonderful pub this is. It’s like stepping back in time and has a super range of draft ales, craft ales, ciders and some stouts too. The beer was excellent and served by knowledgable bar staff who clearly know their subject. The interior of the pub retains a quirky railway theme and it was spotlessly clean and had a good trade mid afternoon on a wet Tuesday. There is plenty of choice for non beer drinkers too. A lovely range of bar snacks available too. A real gem of a pub and I’d strongly recommend a visit to this CAMRA award winning venue.
