AlKhaleej Arabic Restaurant in Leeds

I have tried a kabsa lamb( كبسة لحم) and the taste was perfect.

Delicious food served, very friendly staff, definitely visit again.

Extremely fresh and delicious food (Starters - hummus, falafel, Main - mandi lamb & chicken, Deserts - umali, kanafah) and drinks ( mango lassi, lime & mint juice) with excellent friendly customer service (Thank you much Shazad & Waqar).

Very clean and tidy .Was nearly ten pound for three kebabs with rice so not the best value and rice was nothing more than yellow rice .

delivery was fine, however the food was extremely disappointing. I'm Arab, and trust this Arabian food was the worst I have ever tasted in my life.

Instead of Shawarma they put wings

10 pounds for one mandi( serve 1) is quite Expensive.

The food claimed to be moroccan tajine, looks and tastes NOTHING like a moroccan tajine. Would highly recommend taking it off the menu.

I'm a regular coustomer of Alkhaleej, I usually takes deliveries, and I even recommend it to my friends. My friend already complained saying their food is not fresh but I didn't listen and ordered again now I’m suffering from diarrhoea and stomach ache. Will never order again from there, please be careful. I ordered lamb mandi.

Ordered a few dishes. The haneed ws not authentic and was tiny, got like 1/4 of a rib for like 17 pounds, not worth it. The the half chicken was the size of had a pigeon! We literally filled our selves with the rice. The fahsa didn't taste authentic but was nice but they they didn't have the yemeni bread that goes with it instead they gave us some cold lebanese khubs.

Food had a little extra salt but is was etable . sitting place was a was cold. And price is too high

There is a reason the food here is much cheaper than other places. I feel annoyed at myself for wasting my money having not reading the reviews before ordering. Buyer beware.

The food was very nice, so I have no complaints in that department. However, I feel the Mandi Lamb I ordered was way overpriced £10.95) for what I got, as there was very little in the way of meat, and absolutely masses of rice, which is obviously a cheap filler. If I'd have received more meat in my meal, I would have given 5 stars unquestioningly.

Didn’t even get the food and the staff s didn’t even have the common sense to solve the issues.

This is my favourite restaurant to order halal food in Leeds, which is great considering how hard it is to find halal food in Leeds.

Rice is good. Meat is good. Not amazing but is great for when you want a hearty meal

The food was really bad, especially the mixed grill platter, there was nothing grilled in the grill platter, it was boiled bland meat. Kabsa was tasteless, rice was half cooked. Extremely bad experience. Will not order from there again and would strongly advise anyone not to oder food from here if you are looking to have Arabic food. Terribly disappointed.

We ordered from the website for take away, but my kids insist on eating in. Despite the food already packed, they put an effort by nicely serving us in plate, even reheat the food perfectly for us. Their service has never fail to impress our family with each visit. Impressive food, chicken mandy and their orange juice is a must try. Value for money!

Honestly if I could give you zero stars I would. After a few minutes of ordering, we started to hear the sound of the microwave, indicating that the food was far from fresh and it was simply being heated. The moment the food came, we were all shocked - the "maqlouba" should be called "the mess" instead, the "lamb" (if this was even lamb) was extremely bland and the rice tasted horrible, that was not a maqlouba at all (we are arab and even an arab child could tell that this was not a maqlouba - the vegetables are supposed to be fried, yet you couldnt even do that) Rice does not take that long to make, yet you chose to throw it into a microwave rather than simply making it yourself. If i am being honest, the only things that weren't microwaved was the drinks that we had and the one plum tomato that you decided the put on each persons plate. Never coming back again, and if you are reading this then take this as your sign to stay away from that restaurant. Extremely disappointed as we came from another city to try the Morocon and the Khaliji cuisine.

I think you should rename the restaurant to Al microwave because that's what you did to prepare our meals. The people there were nice, however you cannot charge someone the same price of a fresh meal when you are giving us microwaved food. This is unacceptable. Unfortunately , I won't be coming here again.

The food was not fresh, it was heated from the microwave, We tried to cancel the order and go, but the employee did not allow us to leave until he went out with us on the street, It is evidence that no one wanted his food!!

I don't normally write anything, but c'mon.. This food (2shwarmas n chips) were inedible! Even our dog refused to eat this joke. £17wasted. I wouldn't recommend a slightest. They couldn't cook anything even if their life depended on it. Really bad

I ordered shawarma and kunafa. The order arrived. The shawarma was disgusting. I could not eat it. The meat was not ripe The kunafa is not good, I do not recommend it

Good atmosphere with decent food

Popped in today just for a quick snack, the wrap was delicious, the place was spotless and the guys running it totally genuine. I’ll definitely be going back.

very nice food, there was only 1 person in the restaurant, I expected to wait but their speed just amazed me. speed with tasty.

If I could give this place a worse rating I definitely would ☹️ Ordered delivery yesterday. The supposedly mixed grill was not a grill at all and oil was filling the container. The chicken pieces were not fresh and were tasteless, the lamb meat was very hard it could break your teeth, the kebab was not good at all. If I bought a £1.5 canned fool from the halal shop and ate it as it is, it would've definitely be much better that the £7.95 fool that they sent me. The falafel was disgusting, so hard and oily, and definitely not fresh. I guess it was made few days previously. The so called Um Ali desert had nothing to do with Um Ali. In general, the food was disgusting, not eatable ( except for the bread ), and a waste of £49.83 ( £42.55 without the delivery fees ). I would definitely not recommend anyone to eat from this place, absolutely disgusting 🤮

Not at all a good experience. The restaurant serves precooked grilled platter by merely reheating it in the oven when ordered. Avoid at all costs.

the food at the of the restaurant is good quality, delicious, but the portion sizes are small relative to the price. I may feel that I did not receive enough meat for what they paid. Overall, I recommend this restaurant to all who love Middle Eastern food such Buryani and Mandi. I ordered in a delivery not dine in.

I ordered mixed grill plate which cost 12.99 but the items they provide is below average.

Their food quality has dropped. In maqlooba chicken, there was no cauliflower, no aubergine.

Their beef item is always so poor. Meats are so dry in beef biryani. Same was the case with ruz bukhari beef item. Their hot chocolate is below average in taste. Ummali and Khubz were very good in taste as usual.

The ruz bukhari beef was average in taste, meat pieces were so hard and did not feel fresh.

Maqlooba lamb was great in taste. Good amount of meat was given. As salad, try to give more cucumber instead of lettuce. Also ordered the dessert ummali and it was also good in taste.

Food was not great at all, portion size was very small for a platter.

I’ve been ordering from this restaurant for over 5 years and the food is usually lovely. This time the hummus was lacking in flavour and both the tagine and the mixed vegetable curry had a good 2cm of oil floating on the top and were also lacking in flavour or spice. I’m so disappointed because I’ve loved this place for so long! Please do better next time

If you looking for an authentic mendi or kabsa I wouldn't recommend it. The service is terrible one of the member of staff made us un welcome.

Unfortunately, it is a restaurant that is not worth trying at all. Chicken Mandi is grilled. The meat is cooked boiled and called Mandi!!! Prices are the same as London restaurants!!!

First ever proper Arabic food i found. Kabsa and Mandi are my favourites. Umm Ali and Kunafa tops all sweets.

We love all their food and their service is great. Never found any restaurant like this in England yet. One of a kind. We especially love their Kebbeh, Mango Lassi, Samosa, Shawarma wrap, Mandi Lamb, Kanafeh and Ummali. Thank you for your brilliant service and lovely food. We appreciate you :)

The food of the restaurant is really good and you can also choose your choice of spicy level by telling them. The people in the restaurant is very helpful and they maintain good hygenic in the restaurant overall.

Worst lamb Mandi ever. They should label it as simple pilao and that too very bland. Can’t believe they recommended it as their specialty. Total waste of money.

Chicken Biryani had no life in it... Very boring and bland meal. The two stars are for that the meal was fresh, but I can't think of any other positives as a Biryani lover.

The owner is from Qatar. But staff are Pakistanis, with respect to everyone. what I mean is food looks khaliji but tastes different. Prices a bit high for the quality

Used to give full mandi a few months ago. Then 3/4th and now 1/2. Also, have increased the price. Got a kidney with so much fat in my last order.

Everything is great apart from the bread. The picture shows proper Arabic bread which is baked in stone ovan but the one we got was just a regular bread I can buy in any Arabic shop.

Very bad food not arabic at all, don't waste your time and money

Not exactly what we expected. I was looking for a close to authentic taste, as the name suggested but the taste wasn't even close. Overall it wasn't that bad.

This used to be one of my favourite places but the quality has nosedived. Missing items off orders and more bone than meat in main courses is sadly the norm now. Im gonna wait a few weeks and give them one more shot to see if they sort themselves out.
