Alis Cuisine in Wakefield

After seeing all the negative reviews I had to chime in... We have been using Ali's over 6 years, we eventually stopped because the food and service was terrible! But whoever took it over or whichever chefs they sacked was a brilliant idea... The curries are some of the best curries I've had in a long time, certain things could still do with a change like the onion bhajis and paneer pakora, just not crispy enough. But this place definitely doesn't deserve the hate that it got years ago!! We never have issues with the food nor the delivery for over a year! Food quality is always so good 👍

Fast service delicious food can’t go wrong

Made a delivery and after having food from most takeaways this is by far the best i have had in a long time the pizza cooked perfectly the korma made my mum speachless quality is 10/10 fire food definitely recommend

The food was amazing! Full of flavour! The interior is beautiful and clean would highly recommend whether you eat in or take out! Fast service delicious food.

I havent left a review in a while for these guys. I must say, in the whole 6 or so years we've ordered from this place nothing has compared to the quality of the curries until the past year or so. It is literally the only Indian i will order from!

Very tasty food was hot when arrived & large portions

delivery driver delivered to wrong address, went down to retrieve it and asked if driver asked for delivery code and they did not

From ordering my food to having it delivered took a totsl of 2 hours every time i phined to ask where it was i was told 10 mins in the end it took an hour over my initial delivery time to arrive. I understand places can be busy but this not acceptabl

Another disgusting place in Wakefield. Every Sunday night an employee takes home food eats half and throws rest out of window outside park which shows how nice it is. Crap hole committed to littering Wakefield And again this week should be ashamed

food tasted off and really watery

my order came on time but was missing 2 parts of the order chips and rice. rang up and told them and took a hour to deliver these. had to warm the curry up. best thing was the poppadoms

We absolutely love Ali’s hands down best currys in Wakefield.

Ordered 3 food items, all came cold, the chicken was literally like rubber and the chips were fresh out of the freezer. Rang, complained and was told it would be re-sent but the old food was to be returned. Waited over an hour for the new food to come.

90 minutes late and no chapattis that were ordered. Everything cold. Shockingly bad

Ordered some starters which was recommended by uber eats food came quite quickly but food was terrible. Ordered mixed starter but was overcooked and oily then we got to the chicken tikka very salty and tasted very over spiced. Can’t recommend this place avoid.

Really disappointed in their achari butter chicken, was not up to its usual standard and the naan were burnt and not nice at all, chips were nissed. I will not be ordering again in a hurry.

Only just received my order 40 minutes late and cold he did call me 15 minutes ago to tell me he was outside and turns out he was outside someone else’s house over 2 miles away and safe to say I’m gutted and will not be ordering again

Once upon a time, I was enjoying my Christmas evening until some order arrived on my doorstep with missing items. I never had experienced this kind of service from Alis cuisine before. I tucked into my chicken nuggets but they were dry and chewy like chewing gum. I ordered poppadoms and they were very greasy with a side of mango chutney which was very liquid like mango boxed juice. But, the samosa and chicken pakoras were somewhat enjoyable. However, I am not pleased with this order at all.

totally devastated(was not the delivery drivers fault as he seemed lovely so my wife says however I wouldn't know that for a fact although our food was not as described we ordered under clicking chicken tikka kebabs x2 then ordering chips x2 and salad woth both what we got was a shallow chip takeaway polystyrene boxeswith 5 pieces of tikka chicken on both (minimalistic I would describe as .the food was cold but delivered earlythere was noway that was cooked fresh not a chance no pitta ornann

Food was a little cold this time, didnt help it said it was out for delivery for 20 minutes prior to recieving, tasted ok after throwing it in the air fryer for 5 but tbh its something we shouldnt have to do , fast hot food is whats promised.

Umer absolute disgrace, do not promise someone a free curry cos u delivered something I didn't order plus not one bit of fish in it to my door, lying manipulate. Avoid at all costs.

Food was awful, lamb n spinach was cold and oily, awful tasting and nothing like saag n lamb to taste. It was swimming in grease. The mixed grill starter was like frozen kebabs reheated and the fish masala was reheated and not crispy . Very disappointing for the price

I've being a regular at Alis for some time now but recently it as gone down hill . numerous times I've received orders and the pizza as being squashed as there is no pizza spacer. food as well taken ages to arrive . it's not being the correct order . and tonight I've ordered again asked for a cheese and tomato pizza with dinner meat ended up with a ham and pineapple !!!! Donner meat and chips was overdone by garlic mayo hardly no meat and loads of salad. bit disappointed by this place at momen

Masala was beautiful, creamy and packed with chicken. Peshwari nan was perfect, as were the bhajis! Would deffo order again.

And it was undercooked. and very doughy you would pick up a slice of pizza and it will just fall apart or be stuck to the box I’m just going to order from Dominos or Pizza Hut I know that it is going to be cooked and not doughy 🤮

said on the app the order was delivered, called the restaurant 5 times and nobody answered the phone. disappointed.

Great meal. We both enjoyed our meals, ate it all. Always plenty of chicken in my curry. Pizza was also greatly enjoyed

Too much tomato on base all I could taste

my garlic naan came cold and covered in garlic paste and my curry wasn’t very warm either. wasn’t very enjoyable

So consistent curry perfect and naan and chips delivered piping hot and in good time

ordered a couple of times recently and the food has been spot on. Definitely recommend 👌

we ordered 4 kids meals with our own meals and it said delivery time 45 minutes great so far . The food arrived and only 1 kids meal came .rang up and answering machine. gave it 10 minutes and called again and was told he had forgotten them and they would send them straight out 30 minutes later a taxi pulled up with one 9f the cooks to deliver freshly cooked meals for the kids . He admitted they misread the order and the driver hadn't missed them .

Kebab was very poor no meat hardley no chips and the Milano garlic bread was the worst thing over ever seen from a takeaway definitely will not order from here again

Food was later than usual however, the quality and portions are ridiculous! So good. Meat feast calzone and special mixed kebab that will feed me tonight and all day tomorrow 😋

lovely food but when I order a large portion I'm only getting a standard size whe ordered in the past I always get large and it comes in two tubs or a split large tub it not the first time it's happened other than that it really nice food no other problems

Orderd on uber eats told 15-20 mins.....this was orderd at 6.55pm.....called at 8.10pm no apology just driver set of 5mins ago....arrived at 8.27 nothing again. Will not order again...this was orderd by mistake on uber eats though I was ordering from Ali & deniros in ossett.. .100% better service there

Ordered a 3 piece rat box meal and could clearly tell the rat was caged not free ranged like promised. (Edit: On reflection this review was probably a bit harsh, I don't know how their chicken is by 2024 standards but I had a really bad order here a few years back and wrote this review 😅 don't want to hurt the business so I've changed this to 4 star)

I'm not sure if its changed owners but my bhuna was very bland, the tikka masala was bright red and lacked flavour, shame as I used to order weekly from here

the curry was so oily and tasteless the donor was okay along with the samosa . nothing great to be fair

both curries were discusting. the both tasted so bland and full of salt. the chicken masala tasted like it was from a packet with no taste at all apart from salt. rhe korma had very little taste. we ordered from here loads but this will be the last time it's really gone down hill

Lovely food as usual, arrived on time and piping hot. It would be good if there was an option to add extra fillings in the calzones, as my husband wants pineapple with everything. 😂

I normal order curries which are fantastic but this time on a night shift a few of the staff order kebabs which were not very good the meat looked like it was yesterday dry and very scrappy piece of meat the paratha dish was swimming in oil so not impressed with this order feel let down as the curries I've ordered in the past are fantastic

The food was lovely apart from 'chicken donner tray'. I expected it to be chicken meat, sliced from a rotating chicken donner. I don't know what it was, some kind of shredded chicken in a really spicy sauce. It was OK, but not what I was expecting. Needs a different description.

very quick service and great food

The food wasn’t great! The curry was just sauce and meat and was so creamy. The rice was bland and the Pizzas were very doughy. Not a great meal at all. We have thrown most of it in the bin. Has Ali’s become a franchise?

Best takeaway in wakefield best chicken masala in West Yorkshire proper Asian style and pizzas are better then dominos keep it up lads

Item's missing, called restaurant who advised they'd send when they were able to. Told them other food would be cold. They didn't care. Tried some curry and it was like eating pure salt. All went straight in bin. Waste of money. Won't be ordering again!

Deliver excellent. Quantity good. Sadly it was far too salty. I enjoy salty food normally but this was OTT. I will not be ordering from here again.

Delivery - Spot on Raita and tikka extremely salty. Due to this, and only this, I will not be returning.

I did not get my order due to me putting for collection instead of delivery - when I realised what I had done I phoned but no one answered- also when it was overdue for collection why did someone not ring me ?

Ordered a half and half. 16 in pizza one half Donna special there was no donner meat on it the other half garlic margareta with mushrooms there was no mushrooms on it and pizza was stuck to the box not very happy I used to love ordering for here but now they're gone downhill will not be ordering again
