I enjoyed lunch with a friend in this lovely cafe with its relaxing surroundings and lovely staff who served up tasty food and delicious cake.I will return there .....

This simple traditional cafe is extremely nice. It’s unpretentious ,but it offers lovely freshly prepared food. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. We landed up there today purely by accident knowing nothing of the place, but we were very happy with the cafe, and the food. Recommended if you happen to be in a Keyworth looking for something to eat.

Came here with a friend we were visiting. Nice little tea room. Food is delicious and cooked fresh everyday. Having came here on our friends recommendation I certainly recommend this tea room. Made to feel very welcome. We took the last of the scones home to enjoy.

Absolutely love this place. They have the nicest people that work there and the food is amazing. I always make time to get breakfast here when hiking in the area.

The best cakes in the world! Baked on site, no chain shop could ever come close, so fresh! Also a great place to have some breakfast or lunch. The ladies are super friendly and the service is great.

We had afternoon tea here today and it was incredible. Lovely homemade sandwiches, cakes and scones which were fresh and delicious. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!

We ordered food boxes for my sons 9th Birthday. They were lovely and good value for money. The cupcakes were delicious and the fresh fruit pots contained a wide variety of fruit. Thanks Charlie!

I would give Alice's Tea Shop many more stars if I could. We had a superb time today when we came today for a birthday treat for my mum. We had a lemon cake cake that was made by them and it was the nicest I've ever had. I can't rate this place highly enough for price, tastiness of food and friendliness of staff. We will definitely be making this a regular place to visit. Thank you Lesley and Charlie

i went to this cafe just today and it was absolutely lovely. the staff were very polite and the food and cakes were to die for(recommend the ham and cheese toasties) lovely little cafe and they sell artwork on the walls aswell which is lovely to look at !!

Afternoon tea was an amazing treat, the food was all incredibly fresh and had a great variety. Staff at the shop were all incredibly polite, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Would definitely reccomend for meal out for anyone

I had never had the opportunity to visit Alice's Tea Shop but, when wanting to have some catering done for a small BIG birthday party last weekend, I emailed Allison to see if it was something she did, and, she certainly did! She helped me to decide what to have for the cold buffet and her price for everything was very good and the selection and quality of food was first class. Allison delivered the food on the day, all beautifully presented. I cannot recommend Allison's outside catering enough. In addition to that, Allison is such a lovey person and a true delight to 'do business with'. Thank you Allison. Although I have never had a drink in the café, on the 2 occasions I have been in to see Allison, her cakes look absolutely amazing, out of this world.

We pre-ordered the ploughman’s afternoon tea as a change and we were blown away ! The feast would have fed a ploughman through harvest ! A lot of thought had gone into this and there was a gorgeous blend of homemade, tasty quiche, “proper” sausage rolls, pork pie with crusty pastry and quality pork, very tasty cheddar and real ham (not wet stuff!) served along with baguette that tasted as though it was fresh from France and gorgeous accompaniments (pickled onions, ripe grapes and flavoursome chutney). This meal far, far exceeded expectations and has made the choice oh so difficult - afternoon tea or ploughman’s afternoon tea ?? Why choose....both !!

I ordered a takeaway afternoon tea from Alice’s tea shop at the weekend to celebrate my mums birthday. All I can say is “wow” it was amazing. It came packaged beautifully in individual boxes. I cannot believe how much was included for the money. What I liked was the fact that you could choose your own fillings for the sandwiches. Usually if you have afternoon tea you kind of get what you get. As I’m quite a fussy eater, normally I can’t eat half of them. So I could literally say what I wanted and therefore was able to eat all of them. They were presented beautifully and tasted so fresh. You also got a scone with jam and clotted cream, which again was absolutely delicious. ( I heated mine in the microwave for a few seconds at home just to heat it through... yum!). By this time I was full up after eating 6 halves of sandwiches and a big scone. The question was how I was going to eat the 4 other cakes included. We got a mini Victoria sponge, millionaires shortbread slice, Bakewell slice and a macaroon. If you want a little bit of normality in lockdown or a treat for someone like me, I really would recommend Alice’s tea shop for their afternoon teas. Definitely one of the best I have tasted and such good value for money.

I ordered an afternoon tea for my parents a a treat whilst shielding. The tea was adapted to suit dietary requirements and my parents absolutely loved it. Thank you fur helping make a Saturday afternoon during lockdown a little but special

Brilliant place! Lovely staff, excellent food, sensible prices, and very covid-secure. You can't go wrong!

What a pleasure it was to be able to go out into the village and start to feel that life was slowly resuming to a sort of normality. . To be able to visit a proper tearoom, even with the social distancing and staff behind face visors. It didn't stop the warm welcome and careful service. I went in for a full English and, having enjoyed it immensely, left with a take away of two slices of very delicious homemade cake, a slice of quiche and some scones. Well the temptation was too great and it solved my teatime and a lifting of lockdown gloom. . The experience will ensure that I have an incentive to push my trusty buggy up the hill from home again to enjoy the good old times, but I will watch my waist line
