Food was excellent when it finally arrived after approx 45 mins wait.. We've been a few times before & never had to wait too long for food. We appreciate it is all cooked to order, but can 3 x ham, egg & chips really take that long? Not sure if we will be back, even though we've always had very good past experience.

Disappointed after having made several visits to the restaurant in recent months to arrive to a virtually empty restaurant, so we thought lets enjoy the exclusivity. Unfortunately the meals we had were sparse and the bacon burnt and to top it off the milkshakes were watery with some cream on top. Overall expensive for the area but used to be cooked properly and more on your plate, things have declined somewhat and we will be exploring other options nearby at better value. Sorry.

Unbelievable, popped in to get a salad from the salad bar and ended up leaving with basically a buffet . Each and everything we tried was out of this world . Sometimes food looks better than it tastes but this isn’t the case here. Some of the nicest food I’ve ever eaten in this country . The quiche was definitely the best quiche I’ve ever had, it was incredible. Cakes were to die for and even my original healthy salad choice was delicious, loved the pasta salads . Staff were friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit . Especially if you have guests coming and can pass the food off as your own.

This place is absolutely amazing! Cafe has excellent food, I have had the avocado on toast and the farmhouse wrap which both were so flavoursome and you can taste how fresh the produce is. The iced latte was perfect too. I asked for a hazelnut mocha and the lady advised it would be too sweet and should go for a latte and I couldn't of agreed more. I really appreciate when staff will suggest things as oppose to taking your money and then me not liking it. Staff all over Algar Lodge were friendly, and accommodating. Then the food and produce in the farm shop. We got some meat which was absolutely mouthwatering, some fruit and veg which could not of been fresher, and some sweet treats which were absolutely amazing. I cannot give enough stars for how amazing this place is... I went twice last week and planning to go yet again tomorrow. Also a great perk; very dog friendly which is a MASSIVE plus!

We’ve eaten breakfast on a Sunday at the farm shop before. The produce is first class and the finished breakfast is one of the best you can have. Girls are always polite and we’ve never experienced anything other than an excellent service. It gets busy so I’m sure sometimes the food takes a while to come out but it is freshly prepared. Can’t wait to visit again.
