Chicken balls where good size but the batter found quit hard like eating cardboard curry sauce was ok not the best crystal gardens up walmer deal is a better place to go worth the journey

I've never really been a Chinese food fan but I tried Shanghai and the food was really really nice. I will definitely order again, would definitely recommend.

This is a takeaway, the food is always hot when I get home and every order is lovely, I always ask them to take the green peppers out and they do no trouble. It's not too greasy and always plentiful

We ordered 2 beef curry's 2 egg fried rice chicken balls with bbq sauce instead of sweet and sour, pancake rolls, and bbq spare ribs .Everything was fantastic. the only thing was that the pancake rolls had shrunk in size and were more crispy, and the beef curry used to have peas in but didn't I would recommend this takeaway

Thai green curry pretty poor. Can’t comment on any other dishes.

Pre ordered our takeaway as it was a large order! It was all ready at collection time. Food was delicious and really generous portions. Looking forward to our next takeaway!

Disappointing, which is unusual as usually good. Tonight was luke warm with congealed sauce so it went in the bin!!

The food was the best I have had in a long time. I placed my order and collected it within 15 minutes. The food was hot, portions were good and the price was fair. Definitely will be coming back for more . The only negative I can think of is that the menu is hard to find online - but as I tend to order the standard food that all takeaways offer its not a real issue

Been waiting nearly 3 hours for our meal to Brightlingsea place

Made an order for a few dishes, the food was ready in 20 minutes as requested and was all of great quality. I found it extremely difficult to find a full menu online so here are photos I’ve just taken of their latest menu.

There's been a recent dramatic improvement in the cooking. The meal I ordered last night was the best I've had in a long time.

Decent portions. Crispy chilli beef contained practically no beef, just batter but everything else was fine.

Just an awful experience TWICE, customer service is awful - strongly recommend finding an alternative- avoid this place at all costs.

Food is ok, but if you are ordering for a home delivery service then I advise you order several hours before you want it!! The wait times are horrific, often several hours and the order is often wrong with food missing. Definitely advise just going in to collect it.

Reasonable prices but I would not rush back there. The mixed starter contained a really salty chicken dish which didn't appeal. Brown rice seemed to be used instead of white, which I wasn't aware of. Yes it's 'healthier' but I have never had that in special fried rice before.

Food was OK but I don't like brown rice and didn't know that's what I was getting until my order arrived, it doesn't say it on the menu so for that reason I will be going somewhere else

Spotlessly clean, good size portions, fast, speedy and polite service. Weirdly enough, none of the dishes had any flavour, the "spicy chicken wings" had no spice, the "house special fried rice" and the "house special chow mein" lacked any flavour however the prawn crackers and grilled dumplings had flavour. Perhaps an off day for the chef.

Another great take away yesterday. Hugh portions. Love the salt chilly prawns. Support this business to keep it in Sandwich. So much better than the previous owners.
