This is my go to local takeaway for chinese food. Food has always been superb and prices spot on. Dishes are hot and taste fresh with generous portions and great flavour. Overall I'd highly recommend you try this takeaway - it's the best I've tried in the area! (The chow mein is to die for...)

Excellent quality of food generous and reasonably priced

A shame been before and not had a bad experience but this time , were tight with the prawn crackers, chowmein was dry and flavourless and cold, Singapore chowmein powdery. Disappointed.

My family have been regular customers of First Choice for a long time now, we have always called to order first and collected later. Never really had any problems with their food or getting orders wrong, I've experienced the rare occasion where they forgot something like chips or a portion of chow mein, but it's only happened on busy nights when we've had a big order, and they usually give us free food with an honest apology. Their BBQ Ribs and sweet chilli beef are delicious, definitely worth a visit.

I have tried this take away and have never had a good experience. Food is overcooked to the point of being burnt. Portions are small.

Having been using this Chinese takeaway for a few years now. The food is always good, and of a high standard. There is plenty of choice, and service is always smooth and relatively quick.

First time we used this takeaway. Not as good as we would have hoped. We had a set meal for two which unfortunately came with chips. We went to a Chinese for Chinese food. If we wanted chips we would have gone to the chippy. The chicken balls were over battered and pretty poor. The sweet and sour sauce tasted a bit metallic. The beef in black bean sauce was nice as was the rice and ribs. Overall we were disappointed. .

Have moved into the area so thought would try this chinese. Nice food, was still hot when we got home 10 mins away. polite staff. Will use again.

Placed an order by phone. Told a time to collect. Get there, then still have to wait half n hour. Got home and it was cold. So won't be using it again.

Had a great meal from there last night. Salt and pepper fish was great as too was the sweet and sour prawns. Meal was ready at stated pick up time Cash only but plastic screens are up and covid measures followed

I wouldn't even give one star. Unfortunately I rang the wrong Chinese and after I found out I went to collect my Chinese from Eastry... DON'T eat from there. We (4 of us) had 2 chow meins, 1 vegetable and one chicken. Sweet and sour Hong Kong, chicken curry, special fried rice, egg fried rice and chicken balls. The chow mein was TASTELESS, only tasted oil. No soy sauce, seasoning. Literally tasteless. Hong Kong style chicken was like a rubber boot and sauce was watery. The curry was a funny colour and did not taste right. The chicken balls were DISGUSTING, thick uncooked batter and chewy chicken inside... We've all got food poisoning from this food. Please avoid at all costs. In the future I'll make sure I call the correct trusted Chinese shop.

Awful!!! I wish I didn't have to even give this place one star!! The amount of times I have bought food from here and they have forgotten to put parts of my order in the bag even after I have asked them to double check, this has happened on several occasions and tonight the Chow mein has got black burnt bits from a dirty cooking equipment! Will definitely NOT be going there again and will be advising everyone I can also not to go there!!!

I have been going to this takeaway many times over a 5-year period, and I must say the service is good, the food is excellent and it is now one of my favourite places to get food from, it's a shame I can't go there more often. However, the only downside is that I do find the meal to be a little expensive (£10-£15 for two), but I would say that it is worth it! 5* ~Matt G
