The bartenders are absolutely disgusting they’re so rude when asking what do you want didn’t feel very welcome in this pub would not recommend this pub at all

could not fault the food or prices and the staff can not do any more than they do to make you welcome , we will be back soon

I ordered a tikka kebab and chips, the food was nice but had to reheat as took 1.45 hours to be delivered by a taxi driver that cost nearly £5 for a 1.7 mile journey?! Sadly won't be ordering again 😏

We visited Alfie’s with some friends, following recommendation for the wonderful food. However, staff were either swearing at each other or in tears, no organisation or leadership amongst the staff, no front of house. Lacks mature face to greet customers, seat and wait on customers politely. Food was served cold after hearing the kitchen bell ring several times for waitressing staff. Each time we queued at the bar for 15 minutes a time to be served due to one bar staff between two bar areas. Really disappointed, could be a wonderful pub as the food has a good reputation but lacks staff and front of house host.

Really enjoyed the food and good value for money. The chefs really take pride in ensuring your food is just right. Our 1st trip as a family and plan to return in the near future.

Pizza pepperoni 2-3 star Big chicken nuggets and chips and beans 2star Shish kebab with salad and mint yogurt 1-2star Fries and cheese 1star Sweat potato fries 1star It’s not bistro food We collected food and also when we got there they haven’t even started cooking it so had to get a pint so cost more money This is really poor food They wasn’t even busy at all must of been 10 people in there and most getting drunk not even having food The salad in the kebab was shocking looked a couple of days old

Visited this week during the eat out scheme. First thing you realise is that there is no leadership, noone that cares and the women that are there just aren't suited for a restaurant. When booking a table the person on the phone wasn't sure if there was space but booked us in anyway yet throughout our visit there was only two other tables taken. It took an hour to get our food, I had a pizza and chicken tikka kebab, the base of the pizza was covered in flour and not enjoyable. Joiners Arms have a similar pizza oven but is a different experience. The chicken tikka meat was actually nice! I ordered a garlic naan but got a standard naan and also ordered mint yoghurt which never showed up either. We didn't complain as it wasn't worth the hassle as no-one was there that cared. We paid up and left.

Family of five adults and two children. We had pre booked the day before to ensure the wait wasn't too long.35 minutes after ordering the lovely server informed us that the food would be quite a wait as they had taken many food orders all at once as lots of tables had arrived at the same time. The food took around an hour an ten minutes to arrive which is a little too long in my opinion.once the food had arrived it was fresh,tasty and plentiful. I will definitely give them another chance as the food really does speak for itself. I would highly recommend the battered chicken tikka.

The Carvery is just amazing. I've never had such tender beef! Big yorkies. Roasties were home made and cooked to perfection. Parsnips which are yummy and in honey I believe! Lovely creamy cauliflower cheese, a delicious creamed leak, cabbage with bacon, along with the usual carrots, peas, mash, stuffing. It really is just anazing! They have an excellent meal deal on for kids so mine had the kids pizza which had the option of fries or home made chips. We went for one of each.... the kids were short changed on the home made chips as I ate them all. I'm yet to try the mighty kebabs and cannot wait to get back and firstly have a carvery and then back again for a kebab! This is a true gem to find. Book in advance where possible as they can sometimes get really busy, but will advise you there may be a delay. Staff are really friendly. A nice relaxed eatery where the chef and owner will mingle with customers and make you feel at home.

Wow what an absolute mouth watering pleasure! Ordered a Quad Kebab takeaway re Covid19 Collection only and I cannot wait to dine in!!! Had Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka, Kofte & SHISH! It’s absolutely huge so we did share it between two! All the meat was succulent and melt in the mouth! A massive recommend from me... Also very big venue offering function rooms, play area & sunshine all around!

Staff are rude and don’t seem to know what they are doing. Staff would rather stand around taking that serve customers. Only brought 1 knife and fork and 1 napkin with a sharer dish!!! No serviettes with finger food buffet. POOR SERVICE. Will not be returning! Also £1 per pool game!

First impression counts , cold draughty and unwelcoming, more like a glorified cafe with a bar that sells beer which taste like vinegar. Never to return PBK

Staff were okay, food was good but did come out quite late, the atmosphere was alright quite a lot of families come in

On hearing good reviews we decided to try this place. We got a pleasant welcome and decided or look at menu. First thing burger not available so decided steak and scampi and partner had a large mixed grill. Well it was so unpleasant the chips were BLACK overdone understatement. The mixed grill he could not defy one meat from another so though all been cooked in same pan or grill. Not good sorry needs improving or new chef.

Came here with my friends for lunch only to be utterly disappointed! I love a good kebab and I wouldn’t have even given that to my dog, and he’d eat anything, including next doors cat poo. The tall girl behind the bar was very rude and unhelpful and when I asked for a fresh meal, she simply said no. Ended up going to Asda for a meal deal, much tastier and the staff there we’re lonely. Would not recommend to my worst enemy
