We decided not to miss the last night of eat out to help out, and chose Alexander the Great based on the reviews. It was a great choice. Even our fussiest child tucked into the meze and fresh pitta enthusiastically. The quality was excellent and both seafood and grill courses were cooked to perfection. What made the food even better was the old school atmosphere and the friendliness of service. In a lockdown summer without holidays this was like a little slice of Greece or Cyprus. It was well worth the trip to Camden - we went away full and happy, and will definitely be back.

The Four Lanterns

26/09/2020: Coming back with all the family! Loved the owner, loved the restaurant and absolutely loved the food.... this is a definite must if you are in the area...Felt like I was in Greece even though Covid has prevented us this year.... food so fresh... service excellent.
26/06/2020: This is the second time I've eaten at this little gem of a restaurant. It's small, very friendly and the food is amazing. A warm welcome is always received from the really witty maitre d (owner?). The location is great for the West End of London, tucked away in Cleveland Street.A traditional Greek restaurant with all the favourite dishes you would expect, taramasalata, humous, tzatzkik, dolmades to name a few, all served with hot pitta bread.Main courses include the usual Greek grill dishes, my favourite is the Souvlakia served with rice and a refreshing Greek salad. Makes me hungry just thinking about it!!The maitre d makes the evening a very enjoyable time, he has a dry sense of humour that will have you in stitches - sometimes not even needing to say something, just a look will do! He is very attentive too.It is a very reasonably priced estabishment. I'm sure the restaurant will have suffered as a result of COVID-19, I will be returning as soon as possible, please try this one out. You won't be disappointed.

Lemonia Greek

22/09/2020: She enjoyed it and then I did traditional and tasty cuisine not too pricey and good ambience in North London
31/07/2020: This is a very good restaurant and well located on Regents Park Road in Primrose Hill... we booked an outside table to enjoy the sun yet it was INCREDIBLY hot so the waiter took payment from another table under one of the awnings and moved us (and our bottles of beer) to it; it was great service from the start. We chose the £13.50 lunch menu (available Monday-Friday with a £19.50 3 course menu available on Saturday) and enjoyed starters of fish croquettes with pitta bread and crab meat on crushed avocado and sesame bread which, since they had smoked salmon as a daily special, swapped out the crab for salmon and was lovely. We had an extra Greek salad and were quite full when two good bowls of oven baked lamb with vegetables came to us along with a side order of delicious roast potatoes. We chose coffee for dessert which was fantastic; super strong and tasty. Overall, wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant, especially some of the dishes from the very reasonably priced main menu with a 'joint of roast lamb' that looked fab). Very Good.
