Great coffee, Eggs Benedict were the best that I have found in l London. Friendly service. A little place, somewhat hard to find, right next to the theatre.

So happy to have found this delightful cafe. I ate with my sister and her friend before the theatre. We all were pleased with the food. We had lamb kofta, Moroccan chicked and grilled halloumi all served with pitta bread cous cous and salad. All were delious and staff were lovely. Our first time here certainly won't be our last and I am a fussy eater who rarely leaves reviews.

Aldwych Café is a cozy place, in the heart of London. The coffee is great, and it has also amazing cakes. The lunch menu was also very tasty, especially the Moroccan chicken, which is the best that I ate in my life!

Michael was fantastic in the preparation of delicious meals... passionate about the ingredients to use delivering the excellence in taste. The Moroccan Chicken was great, as well as the grilled tuna fish and grilled vegetable sandwiches. He uses a specific bakery for his breads which makes the difference in taste. This cafe is steps away from the Hilton, and he has take out boxes when you're on the run to sight see London which makes it easy for families with kids. Don't miss this hidden gem with a truly amazing cook!! :)

Lovely little cafe with fabulous owners who were so friendly and chatty during our visit. Will 100% return when we are in the area next time. Good selection of food and drinks and well priced for the area.

Fab little place. Needed cups of tea desperately and then had jacket potatoes with butter which were a very decent size and plenty of butter before finishing with cake

Called in for a quick hot chocolate and tea. hot chocolate was ok my tea was I'm sure a reused tea bag left in my cup waited for the tea to get stronger at least 10 minutes still no tea colouring coming from the tea bag. I would have requested a stronger cup of tea maybe with a less used tea bag . Unfortunately the two people running the café were arguing continually for the whole of the 25 minutes before we left

Visited West End show of Tina the Musical last weekend when weather was atrocious so wanted to find a light bite close to Aldwych Theatre and this little gem is literally next door. My hubby only wanted a piece of cake, looked at their selection and found it hard to choose from such a variety of home-made cakes and pastries, he settled on the lemon meringue pie whilst I wanted savoury and chose a falafel and halloumi brown roll - sizeable bap actually and the friendly Moroccan owner griddled it, it was delicious. Coffee good quality. The only reason I’ve not given it five stars is their loo arrangements, basically down grotty staircase leading to an underground cobbled passage, toilet my husband described as in need of a lot of bleach (I wouldn’t use it after his description). Suffice to say, go for the food not the loo.

My partner and I were meandering through the West End last week looking forward to having dinner later, followed by a show. Earlier, we'd travelled down from Suffolk but having walked for miles around the West End we were both feeling very hungry. However, we didn't want to eat too much for fear of spoiling our evening meal! It was now about 2.00pm. As we were passing the Aldwych Theatre we spotted the Aldwych Cafe right next door to the theatre. From outside, the cafe looked quite ordinary. Certainly it wasn't trendy but we only needed a snack so cheekily we peeked inside to see what food was on offer. Just inside the door I saw a sign which read, “We serve the best coffee in the world.” “Oh yeah?” I heard myself say. This intrigued us both - so much so, it lured us inside to see for ourselves. Were we about to experience a coffee extravaganza - or were we about to be misled - and disappointed? As we entered, the owner Michael, a very pleasant Moroccan, was busy washing down work surfaces and tables. He welcomed us with a great smile and asked, “Hello, what would you like? Tongue in cheek I answered, “We've come to taste the best coffee in the world.” His smile widened as we stood eyeing the wonderful array of food on display. Crispy looking jacket potatoes and lots of Focaccia baps and baguettes packed with delicious fillings amongst a superb array of cakes and gateaux, all looking so fresh and moist which included all our favourites! Carrot cake, coffee and walnut cake, caramel slice, lemon meringue pie, chocolate fudge-cake, brownies and florentines. In addition, hot food is available, and on the day we visited, Lasagne was on the menu with salad. Breakfast is also served till 11.00am. The filled baps, baguettes and cakes looked so fresh, mouth-watering - and tempting! Absolutely scrummy and exactly what we needed to see us through until dinner. I chose a breast of chicken, lettuce and tomato bap and my partner went for the Haloumi cheese and tomato bap, both made with Focaccia dough, which is so delicious with rosemary and olive oil in the ingredients. Yummy! Within a few minutes our baps were served piping hot and toasted perfectly, along with our coffee which was just superb! Certainly the coffee ranked amongst the best we had ever tasted. We tucked into our snacks, savouring each mouthful and every sip of coffee. We couldn't believe how nice the food and coffee was. Absolutely delicious! We were almost tempted into ordering cake but resisted at the last moment, thinking of our later meal, and our stomachs! Afterwards, we chatted to Michael and told him how much we'd both enjoyed his food and coffee. He told us that the coffee was imported from Portugal and was very popular. I'm not surprised! It really was special and worthy of a visit just for the coffee alone! The cafe is very small and I would suggest its six tables could accommodate possibly around 15 people. Having said that, the cafe's very clean, and provides a great variety of food at reasonable and realistic prices and Michael the owner is very welcoming, in fact, a really nice guy! So, how would I sum up the Aldwych Cafe? A rather small albeit clean and cosy cafe which is centrally located in the heart of theatreland. The food is made fresh each day and the cafe is well managed by a very friendly and welcoming owner, Michael. We really enjoyed our visit to the Aldwich Cafe and equally I'm sure you will too! Ps. Don't be fooled by the cafe's rather dull frontage or you'll miss out! Happy dining Lee A.

I am a regular customer of Costa. I have visited several shops, but for me, this particular Costa is the best because of their excellent service and the friendly behavior of the staff. I ordered a coffee and some snacks and received instant service with a warm gesture. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I truly appreciate their prompt service. The environment was attractive. As a customer, I would rate this shop 10/10. I can’t wait to visit again soon.

Visiting Caffe Concerto Regent Street was a wonderful experience, and I must thank Nawal B in particular for making it stand out. Especially after visiting different Caffe Concerto branches in London. The moment I stepped inside the restaurant, Nawal's charming smile made me feel so welcome and at home right off the bat. She showed me to a lovely table and went through the menu with me, making recommendations that suited my preferences. Her service approach is far more attentive than most; she offered to refill my drink without me needing to signal, and she only checked on me once my meal had arrived, ensuring everything was perfect so as not to be intrusive. Nawal B balanced warmth and professionalism beautifully, and her passion for service shone through. Thanks to Nawal B, I left feeling that my whole dining experience was elevated and felt personal instead of mundane. Having someone be that considerate is pretty rare to come across. I’ve no doubt I will return, not just for the amazing food and atmosphere but because of the phenomenal attention given by Nawal B. Strongly suggested!
