We love this restaurant! Great food and friendly staff.

Didn’t get the mayonnaise and tap water that I asked for and had to ask for them again which meant a wait, resulting in me eating most of my meal without them.

Lovely food, great service and excellent location. Large portions and good value . We were a party of 6. And food came out together and was hot Defonately recommend .Aperol spritz were lovely and good choice of drinks

The Staff couldn't be more helpful and kind. We arrived quite late in the evening and they were very friendly and attentive. We never felt rushed even though it was close to closing time and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The portions were HUGE here, so definitely put your eating clothes on before coming as its all so tasty you will want to eat it all :) Will definitely come back here when we visit Brighton again.

Absolutely superb meal, especially the seafood casserole. Brilliant service, and dog friendly. It’s lovely to be able to go to a good restaurant with my dog, rather than being restricted to pub food. I’d visited a few years ago on a previous visit to Brighton, but even better this time.

We booked here as it's wheelchair accessible and we figured Italian food has something for everyone and we were in a group of 16 ranging from 9 to 80. It was a brilliant choice. We pre-ordered, the food was excellent with surprisingly decent portions sizes which resulted in a few of us asking if we could have some food boxed up to take home. This was willingly done. Great food, great staff and we were more than happy with the price.

worse service you can image - the place was empty so no excuse 20 mins to get a drink Manager seems more interested in hanging around the bar talking to his bar staff than serving drinks. He picked up our tray of drinks and then put it down. It was another 5 mins before we got the drinks the level of service may be the reason why it was empty on a glorious Friday evening when Brighton was buzzing AVOID AVOID

Saw this lovely little Italian restaurant next to Brighton Royal Pavilion and decided to try it out. Was greeted by a lovely waitress who took my order and was very nice. The drink and food arrived quickly and it was absolutely delicious. I had the Pollo Brandy which was full of flavour. Would definitely recommend.

The best restaurant in Brighton and best Italian restaurant in UK!! All is fresh and homemade. Food is exquisite (chicken brandy is to die for!) and portions - huge (good luck with space for desert). Service is amazing - friendly and attentive. Huge thank you to Francesco and Emma for their exceptional hospitality. We already cannot wait to come back to Brighton just to come back here and have another fabulous meal.

First time but will definitely be back. Amazing food! Had the 2 course pre theatre set menu. Superb value. Pity we had to rush due to the theatre timing - luckily next door!

Shared a lovely meal with friends at a table outside. The food was great and the waitress really lovely. As we didn't sit inside I can't say how the atmosphere of the restaurant was but we were all really happy with our meal.

Fantastic meal. Very friendly staff, lovely attitude towards both us and our bouncy 13 month old Labrador Retriever. We were travelling for work so needed a dog friendly place to eat especially when often it’s just regular pubs we can visit which is fine but lovely to have choice of speciality restaurants. We will be back when down in Brighton again which won’t be long.

A very fine restaurant for a pre-theatre meal that has the perfect combo of good food and service. It's a really simple recipe but so many eateries just can't provide them both.

Delicious food. And good helpings. The only disappointment was the limited dessert menu. Otherwise one of the best eats places I have visited.

Revisited this city centre restaurant after quite a long time. We were a largish party of 12, celebrating my grandson's 21st birthday. We were seated in a side room, but with a view of the whole restaurant. I could not find any fault with anything. We were not hurried at any time, and the service and food were very good. We had an enjoyable evening and will certainly return.

Food was delicious! We ordered 5 different dishes, and they were all very unique and had their own deliciousness! Would highly recommend this place!! Highly Authentic and staff are all very lovely. Would definitely come back again.

Had an amazing meal,mussels as a starter and monkfish as a main course. All finished with a delightfully lemon sorbet and washed down with a Chianti Reserve. The staff especially Rihanna were delightful and extremely helpful. We would highly recommend Al Duomo as the Italian restaurant to visit in Brighton

I treated a group of friends to a leaving / thankyou dinner. Hannah & her staff were very attentive & treated us all very well, asking during each course if the food was to our satisfaction. The food was excellent as was the general atmosphere in the restaurant. The whole experience (which could have been a sad one) was transformed into a very enjoyable & happy occasion. As you can imagine (for a table of 13), the courses varied from fish, pizza, pasta & steak, all very well prepared. The restaurant was quite busy whilst we were there giving the place a good friendly vibe. I have no doubt in my mind that the next time i dine out with friends, it will be at Al Duomo's. For large parties, a definite recomendation.

Starters were nicer than the mains, took 25 minutes just to get a drinks order. Slightly disorganised and mains could have been presented nicer. Wouldn’t rush back, not really worth the money, however the cocktails were good.

We have been customers for a long time I believe the business is under new ownership since we were last in. I shoudn't have worried it was just as good as always and maybe even a little bit better if that is possible.

Excellent food. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating when dealing with my friend who has some complicated allergies. They adapted her meal with great success.

Utterly horrific visit. Having been in Brighton for the day, we decided to grab dinner before heading home. We found this restaurant online, and the reviews looked good. I rang up to ask about availability and explain that my partner had a chilli and pepper allergy. We were advised that this was fine and that they could accommodate. We went in, we were seated, and it started well. We asked Hannah (I assume she was the restaurant manager/supervisor) if she could advise what we could eat off the menu based on the allergies. She pointed out 3 dishes. We asked if she could check with the chef to ensure there was no chilli and pepper. She came back and said it was absolutely fine. We ordered our dishes and after a couple of bites and we both started to notice the heat from the dish. My partners mouth and lips started to burn, and we picked through the food. We find sliced chilli in it. We call over Hannah, and she says, "That's odd," and that she'll check. She goes on to blame the chef and brush over what's happened by simply saying, "It's a mistake." My partner then spent the next 20 minutes in their toilets being violently sick, and yet Hannah seemed very unphased. I would not recommend this restaurant and would strongly advise against visiting if you have allergies as they have zero care. I truly think this restaurant is dangerous and I hope Brighton Council take action

Excellent food and service. The pinza is amazing!!!

Such a lovely evening spent here tonight with. 20 colleagues from across the UK. We were made so welcome by friendly staff, generous portions, amazing fresh sea food, pizza and pasta. The olives were gorgeous and I especially loved the lemon sole dish, courgette fries and broccolini! Thank you!!

First time back at Al Duomo after many years. We are highly impressed!! The menu is varied and extremely reasonably priced. Francesco our waiter was on hand to recommend dishes and a wonderful wine. From the Haddock croquette and meatballs to crab tortellini and lemon sole the whole meal was excellent. The Sicilian lemon cheesecake was absolutely lovely! Portions here are generous so make sure you're hungry! Thank you Francesco and team for a wonderful meal, we will be back!

Incredible food with a huge variety. The experience was exceptional and nothing could be improved. The staff and overall service was great, I will definitely be returning again. Very accommodating a baby and plenty of space for a pushchair.

As ever the welcome was warm and the food just wonderful…..we had a party of 12 and it still astounds me at the quality and indeed quantity……..Ercole and the team in the kitchen always excel and Francesco and the front of house team are just so lovely…….

The food was certainly good, but the atmosphere was that of a basic pizzeria rather than a restaurant, and the service was rather mixed. Also the air conditioning was on full heat mode which was simply unnecessary.

Food out of this world, staff friendly (other than miserable pizza chef) took too long to be noticed by staff every time and waited over 10 minutes from sitting to receiving drinks (we were gasping). Also they did that annoying thing where you ask to pay the bill and they deliver the bill eventually and walk away, so you have to spend another few minutes trying to attact attention just to get someone to bring the payment machine. It felt a little like the experience is deliberately stretched out to keep the table looking busy for its whole booked duration. Would definitely return, regardless, because the food is just freaking divine.

Thank you Al Duomo for providing a first class meal for 37 of us for a special occasion . The food was absolutely delicious . Arrangements were perfect as was the wonderful staff all evening . I couldn’t have been a better experience. Thoroughly recommend to everyone

Had an evening meal for my daughter's birthday. What an amazing experience. Service was excellent from the moment we arrived to leaving. The food was great with a decent range of options to suit most tastes. Great quality Italian dishes and the portions were more than ample. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Service was extremely slow but very kind. The food was great but prices were a bit steep. I did not enjoy the fried ravioli, not as crispy as I would’ve hoped and a little bland. I LOVED my lasagna though, I will be returning for it.

A very atmospheric place. Nice staff. A place where the scent of my beloved Italy lives. I recommend it to those with celiac disease. You will find safe dishes for yourself here.

Booked at a party if 9 for my daughters birthday - Saturday lunch. The team at Al Duomo were excellent - really accommodating and the food excellent, as ever! If you egged the chance, do visit, I’m sure you will be impressed.

We were a party of 41 from our Church, and we had a really great evening. The service was excellent, the good humour and courtesy of the staff really made it a memorable experience. And the food was as ordered, delicious and hot. We’ll be making this a regular event

We had a brilliant lunch here for a table of twenty, mixed adults and young children. They gave us our own space on a mezzanine and we had one server, Luca, looking after us the whole time who was absolutely brilliant - very attentive and patient. All the food was excellent and it’s brilliant value too for healthy portion sizes. Thanks for looking after us so well! Highly recommend!

The staff were welcoming and friendly. The service was very good. The food was lovely. I was alone and it was quiet in the restaurant but the waitress spent time with me when not too busy. I would definitely recommend and will return.

Food was extremely average, if that. Would not recommend the Pollo Milanese. Maybe we just got the wrong meals. But I was expecting much better having read the reviews before I came. Was also very expensive for quality of food.

Zero stars. I cannot believe you have sent me an email thanking me for joining you yesterday. I couldn't join you yesterday despite turning up on time with my friends. You claimed that my booking didn't exist, despite the fact that I showed you your confirmation email from 2nd Dec and the email you sent a couple of days ago, asking me to confirm that my party and I were coming. I could not have done anything more to ensure my booking was safe. We were treated appallingly on arrival, basically insinuating that I had done something wrong. In 40 years of eating out in Brighton I have never been spoken to so rudely or treated so badly. We will not be dining with you again and I will be warning everyone I know about your booking system which obviously isn't fit for purpose.

Took my wife here for her birthday, honestly best restaurant experience we've ever had, please can you move closer to me

Went here with a big group of friends - 3 of us vegan, 2 vegetarians & serval omnivores, and everyone found something nice to eat. The fried courgettes & vegan macaroni bake with aubergine were super delicious, the vegan capricciosa pizza was amazing too and had a lot of actually good vegan cheese on it. The spaghetti with aglio, olio & peppericoni didn't blow me away, we've had more flavourful ones in other places, but considering the tastiness and generous sizes of all meals, it's not a big thing. Tasty meals and good options 😊

Food wax average. Garlic bread did not taste of garlic and we hadn’t even finished that as a starter when our mains arrived so felt very rushed.

Not sure what happened and when, but went last year and everything was a lot better, food was bland, was a bit chilly and just not like it used to be, didn't recognised any of the staff so maybe new ownership
