What a great afternoon celebrating a friend's 50th. Immersion experience, the whole team were great in creating a fun atmosphere. Chicken soup was delicious but only smuggle in basic contraband or it'll be wasted. Have tonnes of amazing photos of our cell mates. Would recommend to all.

Excellent acting and positive atmosphere! Actors make an effort to keep you engaged but don’t push too hard. Cocktails were fantastic - we didn’t expect to have that many! We highly recommend this experience and would do it again even though we know the plot!

This was a fantastic event I wish it went on all night. The actors were great, I loved that they got us involved. The cocktails were delicious. My group came out laughing and very drunk! I would definitely recommend this place.

I don’t normally leave reviews but for this i had to make an exception. i booked this for myself and my partner, and my partner has severe anxiety which i knew might pose a problem. sure enough, as soon as we saw ‘cassidy’ he felt sick and i was concerned considering the experience involved acting. however, as soon as he voiced this, the actress let him and myself outside so he could get some air and dealt with the next group while he collected himself. once the other group were through, the actor playing the security guard came out and talked to my partner, breaking character and reassuring him and being so gentle and understanding of his situation. he gave us his real name (jack!) and told us to go to him with any issues and if he needed to step outside. we’ve been together for two years and never have a i known a place so understanding of his condition- i could’ve honestly cried. jack and the actress playing cassidy whose name i didn’t catch put his mind at ease entirely and made the experience so amazing for us, the drinks were incredible and we were able to fully enjoy ourselves. they also checked in on him every so often while staying in character which is so impressive! i would reccomed this place to anyone and everyone, so immersive, so amazing and filled with people who genuinely care about the experience they provide! will definitely be back!

Absolutely DO NOT recommend doing this as your first ever immersive experience! They set such a high standard I don’t think anything else would ever compare, and we all had an amazing night. We went a couple of weeks ago for my sister’s hen do, and we all absolutely loved it. From the briefing outside, to the collection of our belongings there was nothing we didn’t like. The actors were brilliant, the ‘chicken soups’ were incredible and would give it more than 5 stars if I could. Thank you to the Brighton staff on the 18th January, you’re all great! 😊

A fantastic Evening out for a friend's 30th Birthday, we didn't really know what we were getting ourselves into but we were immediatley made to feel at ease. The actors were impeccable with great improv skills and a welcoming tone, and it was different to other immersive theatre events we've done because you also got a chance to chat and enjoy your drinks while everything is going on around you. It felt very natural and didn't 'insist' upon itself which was brilliant, it had a very welcoming feel and the whole group was chatting outsdie when we left! The 'Chicken soup' was spectacularly delicious and very generous portions used!

This was SO much fun, we’ve recommended it to several people already, my 20 year old son has also recommended it to his mates. We literally laughed all the way through. The cocktails were delicious, even the non alcoholic ones.

ABSOLUTELY 10/10!!! One of the best experiences Ive ever been too! The staff are incredible, the drinks were amazing, and the vibes were perfect! Not too intense, but also definitely not an experience for (massive) introverts if you want to experience the full range of the experience. Got tickets for pretty cheap on Virgin experiences and brought 1 medium bottle of smirnoff vodka for 4 people and that seemed to do the trick!

I went on the 11th January with my girlfriend and we had an amazing time. The cast was funny and engaging and the drinks were very good. We did notice that we were the only group that didn’t get to go in the “hole” but it was still a great experience. Would recommend!

5 stars for the prison chicken soup 😉 Really immersive, fun & well put on experience with the actors getting you all involved. The cooks in the prison canteen really know their stuff & would love to know what our assortment of mixes were? Came for my wife's 40th & we loved it both walked away smiling & laughing, great experience. We will definitely be back for another prison sentence for sure 😃

Would highly recommend. Its pricey but worth it for a first time experience. I wouldn't keep returning unless the script changes, the time went super quick and the staff did their best to interact as much as possible during that time. However more time is needed to get every cell block involved. Cocktails were amazing but again I didn't even finish one by the time the next one was handed over. Overall it was a great experience.

Did not eat there so cannot rate the food but not doubt would have given it 5 stars. If there were 6 stars I would have rated it a six! My colleague and I booked this as our work's Christmas do and it was an instant hit! From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we were thoroughly entertained. We were extremely well looked after, the cocktails were delicious. Cannot recommend it highly enough and cannot wait to return!

The best night. Got upgraded as there was space. Right amount of people. Delicious drinks and the interactions were great fun! Definitely want to go back and recommend it to anyone considering. First time going out drinking and I have absolutely no regrets! Also customises drinks to what works best for you, have me singles instead of doubles. Also gave me a cocktail when requested one instead of alcohol. Asked for drinks preferences whether it is sweet, fruity, etc. Thank you for such a good night!! Will definitely be revisiting 🙂

Can't rate food because it's not part of it. Had a great night at the one in Brighton - everybody did a fab job entertaining us, and trying to rein in a rowdy bunch in the cell next to us. Would definitely book again.

Alcotraz was the perfect choice to kickstart a girly catch up. The staff was brilliant: entertaining, funny and not stepping out if character once, while simultaneously keeping everyone safe and happy. The “kitchen staff” prepared some amazing cocktails disguised as soup. Be warned, they do not skimp on the alcohol!

Our 7 'Queens' attended Alcotraz Brighton on Saturday 30th November. We had an absolutely amazing time. The soup was delicious and the staff were 10/10. OH MY GOD this place is great. My sister and I took a girls trip to Birghton this weekend and we booked this experience. It was hands down one of the best things we have done together, we absolutely loved it, super entertaining and so much fun. The actors were brilliant, had everyone engaged and laughing. You take your own alcohol and they make you all different cocktails, and keep them flowing. My sister suffers with acid reflux, so has to avoid citrous drinks, they catered to her and even came over to check that it was ok for her, explaining everyone is different. Couldn't recommend this enough.

Would recommend to anyone wanting a group experience, couples and you get interactive with other groups. For a special occasion or team night out would be great.

Bought as a gift for our son and daughter in law who had an absolute blast here on Saturday. They came back full of tales and said the whole interactive experience was done so well. They could join in as much as they wanted, no pressure if they didn't and generally a really great and really different few hours. Think we will try it ourselves!

Alcotraz is an incredibly realistic and unique experience! When there was a small miscommunication, it was resolved quickly and in a very friendly manner. The actors brought prison life to life, and the atmosphere felt completely authentic. Even though we didn’t speak the language, the staff was very patient and helpful. It was fantastic how they created a different cocktail each time with the liquor you smuggled in, along with a matching mocktail (for those who had to drive 😉). Every drink was a delicious surprise! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and immersive experience!

I had amazing experience at Alcatraz based in Brighton. I highly recommend bringing tequila and Cointreau, Ziggy our spectacular mixologist made the most beautiful tequila based cocktails I have ever had!!! Ziggy even made a point of coming to check with us how exactly we preferred our cocktails, I appreciate this level of customer care so much :) I told her to have creative freedom and it paid off they were delicious. The 4 cocktails each worked out cheaper than drinking out elsewhere for cocktails making it a massive bonus. The prison experience within itself was hilarious, I would like to make a special thanks to al of the actors who made the night such a special experience. Would recommend to anyone whether it’s a couple, friend or larger group- you will all enjoy it !

We didn’t know what to expect but it was a great evening. The prison warden and his staff stayed in character throughout the night and were very funny (even when they were being serious). The bar team made delicious chicken soup! The storyline was cleverly adapted to be inclusive of those taking part, so no one was left out. Overall, great fun.

We had the best time and the cocktails were so delicious (and very strong) bonus is you get the bottles returned to you at the end if you don’t finish it which we didn’t expect. I recently visited Alcotraz Immersive Prison in Brighton for the first time, and what an unforgettable experience it was! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and fun. The cocktails were absolutely delicious, expertly crafted, and truly one-of-a-kind. The staff were incredibly friendly and added to the immersive experience with their engaging personalities. My friend and I shared loads of laughter and created wonderful memories that we'll cherish. If you’re looking for a unique and enjoyable night out, Alcotraz is a must-visit! Highly recommend it!
