Very good pub service was a bit slow but it was a Sunday where people were having their Sunday dinners so I can't really complain about that

Had the pleasure of doing my first gig since the refurbishment,great atmosphere Sam and her team are lovely very helpful .Will definitely be dining there food looks amazing . Lovely clients friendly atmosphere throughly enjoyed it I hope they did too. Debbie Leeds x

This pub has been renovated to a really nice standard. Clean, friendly staff and food was great. Lots of outside space for in the summer, and a nice big car park x

THIS REVIEW HAS BEEN EDITED AFTER A FURTHER VISIT: To start, everything looked good. Menu was varied, lots to choose from. However, we were sat at the back near the exits to the smoking area. My elderly parents were with us (7 people booking) and they were getting a draught coming through. After shutting the wide open door in excess of 30 times, with other diners also saying how ridiculous this idea was, our food was brought to us. The waitress/manager (unsure of her position) came over to ask if all was OK, we very politely said the food was fine and service also, but the constant up and down to close the constantly opening doors was an absolute nuisance and utterly ruined our experience. Her response?? 'Well, you couldve sat elsewhere'!!!! We booked a table and was seated here! We had no choice in what table we sat at, believe me, we would not have sat there out of choice. It was frustrating and diabolical. I explained we didn't choose to sit here! Her answer 'next time, mention it on your booking' to which we assured her we would NEVER visit again after this performance. So we skipped dessert and went home, quite annoyed having spent over £100+ on food and drinks, only to be greeted with a terrible response to our complaint. It's not professional and really not acceptable. We won't be coming back, that's for certain. It was my mother's birthday and this occasion was ruined. So thanks very much for that. I shall be contacting head office too. Had her response had been apologetic and different, we would've be ok. But it made us feel like we were to blame. After this review, I was contacted by the assistant manager of the Albion, a lady called Sam. She was extremely apologetic and offered us a complimentary meal, as an apology for this experience. This lady is so genuine and so passionate about this establishment. It shines through. Ive seen her on occasions before on previous visits and she is very firm, but very fair. But clearly treats the place like her own and it means a lot to her. Which leads me to wonder why she is not the manager, this would make perfect sense. We had our meal, all served by sam. She's helpful and friendly, without being too over eager or desperate to impress. We had a lovely meal, food was so much hotter (obviously we weren't seated next to an open door this time) and as I said, she was very efficient, but not too much. Two very different experiences in my opinion. Ive visited the albion for many years and it's always been fine, until that one occasion. Speaks volumes!.

The albion is a top notch place with top notch food and drink and our server Sam was very helpful and saw to our every need so also top notch 🙂

Went here on a Saturday not realising the rugby, football and boxing are all on as well as two events throughout the day. Was worried ordering food, but didn’t need to be as the staff were so hardworking and attentive. Such a lovely atmosphere and glad to see the pub doing an amazing job with lots of happy customers.

Really nice place family friendly pub. Food is amazing and staff working there make you feel welcome.

Went on Saturday night for a meal with family and friends. Food service and atmosphere was amazing. The refurb is amazing. Sam and staff make this place. Highly recommend to all.

Went for lunch yesterday, the food was so good. Staff very friendly and attentive. Hadn't been there for a long time but will certainly be returning. Couldn't tick for steak meal which we had as its not on the recommended dishes but it was superb. Well done Albion.

Visited this evening with husband and grandchildren. 3 had steaks and 1 chicken strips, which we all enjoyed. We decided to order desserts, 1 ice cream sundae and 1 biscotti cheesecake, this is where it went wrong. I expected the cheesecake to be a lovely creamy centre on top of a biscuit base with biscotti topping, what was served up was a biscuit base with a dry cake like substance in the centre topped of with biscotti topping didn't enjoy it at all and definitely wouldn't order it again and it ended the evening on a slightly bad note. Saying that I will return for another meal but take care when ordering desserts

Went today for lunch two mains for £13.99 I highly recommend the steak and ale pie my husband had the hunters chicken. So delicious and genius portion size Absolutely the best around .will definitely be returning. Staff so friendly and helpful thank you.

Our fish was absolutely fantastic today, my mum had cod, I had scampi, so tasty and really enjoyed. Welcome back Albion the food was great and 2 meals for £13.99

Albion has just been refurbished people!! Even though you already received excellent Service,Food,Drinks,Entertainment from Carrie,Sam and all team at the Albion! Apologies too Many names to list/remember! Now you can enjoy this even more! Now that the brewery have FINALLY! spent a few quid on brightening the place up. As for Many seniors/people in the local community it's a hub for interaction. Nice atmosphere,nice people. 👍

I was not impressed. They not attend to you . Unless you talk to staff. My steak was a bit tasteless. But that is my personal opinion .

We come round as a table of 9 family members for my late nans birthday. Food was lovely, cocktails really good and service was brilliant. Big thanks to Sam and the other lovely bar maid for catering for all our cocktail needs!!!

Love it popped in last week, going for a CT scan over the portacabin Tesco,haven't been in for ages,used to be the head chef.Cola bit dearer than the gi,but used the app,was proper cheap 😉😁 Really nice barmaid, with a great name, Chelsea,come on you blues💙

Had a lovely meal here. My choice was the 2 course senior meal, as I have a small appetite, which is exceptional value for money. My partner had the main menu. His was much bigger portions all cooked perfectly. Service was great with happy smiling staff. Atmosphere was pleasant but the pub temperature was a little chilly hence the 3 🌟 overall it was a really lovely evening.

Had festive meal here last year.prompt service.did get muddled with order but was nice meal and good value for money

Good meal and pleasant staff. I ordered the mixed grill but noticed immediately size had decreased with much smaller cuts of meat. Tasted okay but wouldn't bother ordering again. TV sports were on but much too loud in the main eating area.

Visited the Albion with family for drinks and a meal on 29th of August 2024. The staff were welcoming, friendly, polite and caring towards us. Sam the assistant manager ensured that we were looked after. She checked in on us regularly, we felt really welcomed even though the Albion is not our local. I would definitely recommend The Albion All staff were friendly. Thank you Sam and your wonderful staff for making our time enjoyable. Hope to see you all again soon. Great team work.

First time and had an extremely wonderful night, not only the aesthetic and the vibe but also the people working there. Sam was really cool and nice at the bar, so was Kyla who was pretty sweet. Overall a really great pub - one of the best I’ve actually been to , to be fair; the food was grand. Coming back here again

Latest visits have been quite bad, all the menus are sticky, most of the tables are not cleaned. Food last time was so bad I had to go home eat something else to change the flavour. Was here first time,ordered 2kg chicken wings and beer,was very nice and cooked meal,all in total we eaten 6kg wings 1kg per person.Really like it.As a pub is relly nice place. Karaoke and nice music. Decent little pub. Good prices, food was nice, mixed crowd of people, helpful staff (Sam Especially) and a good location. 4 stars only because there are no bicycle stands, correct me if I’m wrong. The pub is linked up with cycle routes so it would be ideal.

If you plan eating and have a dog avoid! I checked website and says they're dog friendly. This is limited to the bar area only, something it didn't say.If you go to book a table on their website to eat there's no option to say if you have a pet! Pubs one eaten and booked a table before that say dog friendly give you drop down option so you know potentially where you may end up ie bar area. So if you must turn up and they are busy and you have a dog likely you won't get seated if you're refused the restaurant area like we were. Anyway, there are limited tables in bar area and they're high tables and even more limited chairs to the tables if you want to sit with a family around 1 table! So was limted to having one chair not high enough for the table. Ironically, as we were moved from the restaurant area with our dog there's a big poster in the restaurant area saying dog friendly. I was referred to Facebook by bar staff, not everyone has Facebook. Anyway if you have a dog and want to eat go somewhere else is best solution. Food was goodbso gave them a star for that but the inconvenience of it all not to sit properly, definitely wouldn't say "dog friendly" if you're eating. To top off poor experience they had some sort work/drilling going on in the kitchen which happens to be where bar area is. These things happen so whilst can't knock that as such anyone with a dog will know drilling or whatever isn't great to enjoying nice sit down meal with family. Bad experience all round. Restaurant area is nice too. Shame

First visit, came in daytime, service okay, friendly staff, three of us ordered food. Seemed a touch slow, but we were all satisfied with quality. Normally an Ale drinker, but not Green King, so switched to Cider which was perfectly fine. Will come back

I recently celebrated my son’s First Holy Communion at Flaming Grill Albion and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. Reservation was done so professionally by Sam she was looking after us .The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience. I will definitely be returning in the future. 5 stars all around!

Went here on easter Sunday, with a big group of us. We had food and drinks. The staff was amazing, friendly and very accommodating. Couldn't have asked for better. One of the people in our group is a vegetarian, sadly not much on the menu for him, but they done him a veg loaf on his Sunday dinner, which he said was delicious. We had such a lovely afternoon. This was only my 2nd visit having recently moved into the area, each visit has been very similar. I can't fault the food and drink, it's been very good value for money. Service was excellent on both occasions. However, both times children seemed to be allowed to run around out off conrol, a couple near me drank up an left quickly because of this, so it's not just me !! The language of some customers sitting near the bar also left a lot to be desired, especially as children had the run of the whole pub, perhaps these were isolated incidents, but I somehow doubt it.

Lovely pub with 'some' good staff. Been here a few times for dinners and parties, staff are helpful as best they can be but would like to see more drinks selection. The food is always good but portion size seems inconsistent- never the less, tasty and always goes down a treat.

Love this place easily one of favourite places to go to for a relaxed evening staff are always welcoming and food is always hot and lots of. Parking always available and the landlady puts on plenty of entertainment there are regular quiz nights and the blues brothers tribute we saw were great even the grandaughters enjoyed it and enjoyed their ice cream Sundays too
