Great local pub if you live in Harold Hill and surrounding areas! Can get a bit too busy and a bit rowdy sometimes! But a good boozer for a couple of pints at the end of a sunday afternoon stroll! Oh… and the chips are proper tasty!!!

Lovely food at reasonable pricing, the atmosphere was lively but not too loud so perfect to catch up with family and friends. Today team were Rachael, Lisa, Dan, Emma and Flick, everyone we encountered were super lovely and welcoming, service with a smile 😃 We will be back for sure!

I’ve been coming to this pub for many years and have always been pleased with the service, but tonight was exceptional. All the staff were even more welcoming and kind, especially a new employee named Emma who served me and my friends. She was incredibly kind and accommodating, making our experience truly enjoyable. I can’t wait to come back, hoping she serves us again because she was absolutely lovely and amazing, single-handedly making our night that much better.😃

The Deers Rest is my friends local pub, the team there are very friendly and go out there way to help. My friend had the burger and I had the mixed grill it was fresh and hot, good portions and good value for money. We also had a couple of bottles of vino. My friend was struggling to download the vouchers so the staff just helped and took the discount off. As I said they were so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend a visit. So come check them out. I come back regularly as they're one of the best pubs in the area.

Friendly staff and patrons in a cosy fireside pub.

Recently moved back to the area, and thought we would give it a try despite it not being the Bear anymore and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was decent as was the atmosphere but the staff were second to none, couldn’t do enough for you. Will definitely be going back very soon. Thank you x

Had our first visit beginning of the summer and have been coming weekly since. Food is amazing and staff are very attentive, friendly and always willing to help especially Emma and Rachel. 100% recommend

Visited on a Sunday evening, with friends. We all had meals that were lovely highly recommend the beef roast. Friendly service from jayde and Lisa, great food from Dan and codie.

Had a beautiful roast dinner here, would highly recommend. The team were very friendly, every single one, bar staff and kitchen, Emma, Jemma, Jess, Mason, Dan and Brandon. They made a simple roast dinner fun and enjoyable, wil definatly be back, thank you very much, my whole family loves it.

There ladys was lovely & friendly & come over to the table to ask if thy could do any thing & ask us how the food was we had the jacket poto& Marie Rose sauce came wth salad & crispy onion was so lovely & the salad was so nice as it had a nice dressing was on it different coming again thank u lady's

Great pub with lovely outdoor areas to enjoy the sunshine or be entertained when they have an event on. Bar staff are all hard working and very friendly ( Emma, Codie & Jenna) were working on the day I popped in. Great selection of cold beers on tap and good food from the kitchen. All in all a great friendly pub. That's why I keep coming back. Keep up the great work deers rest team.

This is our nice local pub. Really cute venue with friendly staff. We don’t always come over but when we do it’s always a nice atmosphere, great food at really good prices! Perfect for a summer hot weekend to sit outside and enjoy the nature and the deers that occasionally pass by on the road.

Slow service I was waiting yesterday to be served 30 min . The hunters chicken was not good , I didn't touched the chicken ( had a strong smell ) . I only ate the onion rings and the chips. Everything was too dry.A bad meal for 13.00 £ . 👎 Their desserts are quite good.

Went for my grandaughters 14th birthday what a let down food was not hot had cranberry sauce ,pig in blankets & yorkshire puddings missing from Roast Turkey and chicken dinners my daughter in law sent her lasagne back as it was stone cold

Had a party of 9 people for my son's birthday meal. What a disaster. We sat there an hour. Then we got our main meal Yorkshire puddings were rock hard could not eat. all the dinners were warm,not hot My daughter-in-law was unable to eat her vegetarian sausage.They tasted disgusting. Our waitress was friendly but after serving dinner she rushed off home. No one else came to our table so we could not order dessert. We spent an hour and a 1/2 at the Restaurant pub So fed up with waiting for a waitress to turn up. We paid for the bill at the bar and left no way, will we return. Hundred and seventy two pound down the drain.😔

Had a really pleasant lunch at the Deers Rest with the family. The food was tasty and the atmosphere was great, Nix was really helpful, she couldn’t do enough for us.

The pub is a fun and good laugh. It’s family friendly everyone gets on with everyone, the staff are all amazing especially Nicola she’s so friendly and lovely to talk to. The food is delicious I really recommend this pub!

Me and my children came in for lunch today, food was lovely,jayde and the other lady working was friendly and welcoming, prices was reasonable, will definitely recommend to friends and family.

I am really not one to leave harsh reviews as I understand that the service industry is tough but I am really shocked with this place and highly recommend thinking twice before eating here. Drinks not too bad but the service is so slow, like no excuse slow then the food, not sure we’re to start. A Sunday roast so bad we couldn’t eat it, like eating a rock. A family member had a burger and it was okay but still not great. It’s a real shame and I hope it sorts its self out as could be a lovely pub.

We were walking section 21 of the London Loop and this amazing pub is on the path half way. Lovely friendly quick service, very good food, just what you need on a 5 mile winter walk. I can’t recommend it enough. We had the mushrooms to start and the fish and chips for our main course.

Shambles is only way to describe this pub. Saturday night and kitchen shut at 7pm, no warning, no notice on doors! Shortage of glasses, apparently people taking them. Wouldn't bother returning.

Waited over an hour for the food with no warning of how long it would take, had no beef or turkey. Wouldn’t recommend coming at all

Popped in for a few drinks and a bite to eat. Had a great time catching up with friends. Was clean and tidy. Staff are lovely and helpful. Kerry served us at the bar and explained to get a table and order at the bar. Food was good and came out in a timely manner. Will be back!

Visited the other Friday - was busy but the two staff that was on, Codie & Kerry managed it. You could tell they was busy but they was polite and served everyone as quickly as they could. Could have done with maybe one more staff member on shift. Had a few of the sharers and starters and they came out in a decent time and was cooked well. We will be returning. Place is clean and has a pool table / darts board for those who like to play them. Will defiantly coming back soon. Thank you.
