Tried to go in today to be told I wasn’t allowed by the owner who then told me “it’s my pub and I’ll let in who I like, I don’t recognise you and there are people inside trying to have a nice drink” Well good for them, thankfully I don’t drink alcohol and only wanted to see if my father was in there but you had to go down the bad attitude route. You’re in the wrong business and you also shouldn’t assume everyone’s the same 👍🏼 Update: this was around 11am before any “violent public disturbances” but your camera and audio will confirm that. You were letting people in but you wouldn’t let me and my son in because we are not regulars, so I’d say you are the one make exceptions. Im glad you feel disappointed 👍🏼

When to the pub Wednesday 26/6/24 , Stood at the bar with wife, totally ignored by bar staff, who share regular a beer before use , i work for the pub company as relief after run a Marstons pub for 8 years, i would never ignore the people at the bar as it’s next customer please We did not get a drink whet to the next pub great service

Popped in on the way home and had a very enjoyable visit. Quick service and reasonable price for a quality beer.

Don't bother. The manager is a tyrant. I'm partially deaf so people have to speak up when talking and I apparently speak loud too to hear myself ( go figure) and he was absolutely disgusting. Tell us to be quieter .... clearly impossible. The way he treated me and my husband was vile. I won't be going there again. And ya can smell the toilets and they were filthy toilet paper every where 🤢 no food is served in this Venu. Who ever granted his license need to have a word ex copper or not. Ya don't treat people like crap. And ex police officer own this pub be aware he will phone the police over a £1

Very quiet pub now , weekend DJ is only appreciated by themselves, need to get back the party atmosphere they used to have , staff are ok , but the pub has lost its let's say mojo

Smelt of urine immediately.Lots of heavy drinkers present. Such a lovely building. Quite sad really. Making money out of those with alcohol issues.

Called in for the first time as karaoke was advertised was made welcome by all the staff who were very friendly and helpful it was really busy we had a great time the choice of drinks was very good and reasonably priced will definitely return

Myself and 3 friends called into the Albion after shopping in Hanley it was very busy but we were served very quickly Daran served us and he was so welcoming and friendly there was such a large selection of gins at very reasonable prices and he explained offers available plus it was a lovely sunny day and we sat outside in the large beer garden which looked great we noticed there was rock and roll advertised on Friday afternoons and one of the regulars said it was always really good so we will definitely be going back soon.

A brilliant pub in the centre of Hanley! I attended a function in the fab upstairs room and thought the staff and atmosphere were great. Thoroughly recommended!

Cracking atmosphere at the albion last Saturday visited with friends from Stoke. Massive sun trap beer garden and decent drinks offers 👌 staff are friendly see you all again soon. X

Well what can I say, Steve and Darren are a breath of fresh air, funny, chatty with customers, nothing is to much trouble for them, the lines are well cleaned, and the beer was perfect, the overall cleanliness of the pub was fantastic, it smells fresh and the place had such a lovely calming atmosphere, we will definitely be going back again what a brilliant time we had, keep up the good work guys you are smashing it x

Had a pint of guiness, about inch and a half of head. Very dark head as well. Tasted quite acidic. Pub it's self had 1 other punter and there and the bar hand.

For some reason this place only allows small dogs on the premises.....it's simple a dog is a dog.....you either allow dogs in or you don't......

I have used the Albion since after lockdown, and most of my friends drink here as well that I knew in Wetherspoons now. It's a cosy, friendly place and probably the warmest pub in Hanley. So, for me paying the bit extra for beer is worth it to keep warm. It's the main pub I use in Hanley now, because on the whole, you are less likely to get idiots in there.

Sian and Darren and the rest of the bar staff are absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is really welcoming. Love my nights out here. The revolving door is a must for anyone. There is something for everyone . Definitely worth a visit

The best pub I have ever come across in the UK. The pub has the best manager and staff who have the best customer service skills I have ever come across. Also they have a great selection of drinks to chose from and the place holds a style of what a traditional pub should look like. If you want to be able to relax and talk to the local punters then look no further and come and have a pint in the Albion pub in the town centre.

Have only been here 3 times; early doors. I like the Music. The drinks are good value and there's a friendly atmosphere. I'm bringing my Friend with me, on Monday. ☺

The albion is a great pub with a good selection of alcohol and music. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. My overall experience at the albion made me feel like it's the only place worth going to hanley for. I'll definetely be back!

It’s not just a pub too me anymore. It’s become a friendly environment and a second home. The staff have become family. They mean the world to me, I know I can always go there whenever I’m not feeling good emotionally. And the staff will always be there for me. And they understand that I have a learning disability and they still acknowledge me as a person and don’t treat me any different… I don’t always go the Albion to drink. I go because I feel appreciated and accepted. And the atmosphere is amazing and people are brilliant. But mainly the staff are amazing and are my second family love them all…. Shout out to Kezza! I know if I go there now, and I’m not feeling right emotionally I know I can go there and the staff will always come up to me or I’ll go over to them and they’ll always lift my spirits and make me feel well emotionally. Decided to try out The Albion over the long Jubilee weekend and see if their recent makeover had removed the traditional pub charm of its revolving door, Minton tiled bar floor surround & stain-glass panels… I was so pleased that none of the original features I love about this pub had been changed, even down to the fireplace in the small snug-like side room I’d missed on previous visits Staff as chatty & friendly as usual & the band they had on were good, but maybe a little too easy listening for a Friday night party - but still had a great night!

Good pub, good booze. Staff could be a tad bit more friendly to 'non-regulars', but all around. Pretty good.

It's a good night out Cheap drinks and friendly atmosphere. This is my first time at the albiin for a night out. When searching for it on Google the Times of business are confusing I'm not sure if Sunday - Thursday they close at 10 then Friday they are open till midnight. Its a great pub to start the night and a great pub if you decide to stay all night.

A nice place to go for a drink. The staff there were pleasant and the atmosphere likewise. They have a pool table there(which is always a bonus(in my opinion lol).

Friendly staff, friendly regulars, really, really cheap beer…….£2.60 a pint, lowest I’ve paid in lord knows how long (might’ve been cheaper…..I had quite a few at this price!!). Pool table and cues are in really good condition too…..both a bit of a rarity in Pubs with pool tables nowadays. If ever I’m back in Stoke, I’ll be back to the Albion!

Yea, still can't beat The Albion for a *Real Pub* experience , clean , Simple snacks (Baps) , it's easy on the pocket too .

It's no different than it was in 1985 when I first went in , I call that BRILL !! You feel like your in a Boozer rather than McDonald's on draught
