We’ve never visited this area before so went in the cafe with no prior knowledge . We were not disappointed . It has an imaginative vegan and vegetarian menu, the cafe has a lovely relaxed vibe and friendly staff

This was my first time visiting this cafe and upon leaving, I had very mixed opinions about it. As a vegan, I found the menu to be very limited. They had avocado on toast and beans on toast which were vegan and then crumpets which were not. I had the beans on sourdough which was really nice but nothing mind blowing. The highlight for me was the vegan pastries. They have an array of vegan pastries and cakes on offer and I had a vegan almond croissant which was amazing. The cafe itself is cute and rustic inside. It’s very laid back and quiet which I quite liked but it did lack atmosphere. The staff were friendly but were literally messing around the whole time and even , at one point, throwing things around. In terms of cleanliness it also isn’t great. My mum noticed their were lots of stains on her chair and my plate had a huge chip in it. The overall cleanliness (including in the toilet) just seems lacking. I like it because it’s a really cute cafe with great cakes and it’s reasonably priced. However, some things just let it down. I probably wouldn’t rush back just because the menu is so limiting for a vegan and quite boring.

Staff let this urban little cafe down - wayyy too laid back - almost a minute waiting to take an order by staff who almost looked at you with disdain for interrupting their conversation then a half hour wait for a toastie with almost no other customers in, despite them managing to sort their own lunch prior to the customers all whilst having a loud conversation on the upsetting gentrification of Bristol which I’m sure the irony of serving vegan brownies and flat whites surrounded by cactuses and mid-mod furniture to ex Londoners was lost on them. Food and coffee were both good but I resented the arduous wait with 3 staff members swanning around not doing a lot.

Our local cafe and what a great one. A perfect stop for a flat white, with a funky interior you can't go wrong really!

Used to like this coffee shop, however last visit was disappointing, empty tables had crumbles on, stain on chairs, chipped crockery. Poor plant on our table had someone’s hair wrapped around it.. Toasties were nice though.

So enjoyed our brunch here - lovely welcoming community ambiance with fabulous coffee and oodles of gorgeous finishing touches ... the owner's Mum makes the cups and plates etc! A true family business, with creative flair - in and on the plate!

One of our favourite places on North St. Great coffee and food and lovely to visit on a Fri or Sat night for a glass of vino or to sample some of their lovely unique cocktails. Looking forward to when the doors are open again on weekend evenings.

We tried out these cakes on a food tour of Bristol. They were wonderful. If I lived in this area I would be here all the time.

Had a nice Rarebit toastie here. Good vibe in here though you need a bit of patience as 'it will be about' minutes is term not really understood in the real world. Still, if you're not in a hurry what's the issue?

I've been coming here since it opened and I keep coming back. It's such a chilled out place with eclectic furniture, the most amazing handmade pottery, gorgeous coffee, yummy cake and friendly people. If I need a bit of headspace or a place to get some stuff done, I come here and know I'll leave feeling good :)

Great cafe, I had a brownie and a pot of tea and both were lush. Staff were all really friendly and chatty and the homemade ceramics were really cute.

Lovely independent cafe, shabby chic in style, serving the most delicious looking cakes. I had the blueberry frangipane and an excellent flat white served in a quirky handle-less mug (I noticed the pottery used is for sale). I believe they open some evenings and espresso martinis were on the menu. Lovely and friendly service. Would definitely return.

Un buen descanso y helado en el quiosco, no es un mal servicio sobre todo lo que esperas si en el área volvería a usar

After two years peeing off most of the neighbourhood with noise and litter and building a live music venue, without planning permission next door to residential gardens, these squatters are finally getting the boot. Shame that the charity that own the building are now heavily out of pocket.

I liked the coffee and food, however, the seating area is a little on the small size, brilliant for a quick bite to eat

Went to this café for breakfast on the recommendation of another. Being in the centre of Bristol, this is good value if you want a basic breakfast. I did not find the people serving particularly friendly or feel welcome. Service was quick but the quality of the ingredients’ poor. I had an English breakfast, bacon, sausage, toast, hash brown, poached egg and tinned mushrooms (which I left) whilst my wife had what they termed a sausage baguette. In reality it was a sausage in a panini. The coffee was on the thin and weak side. I will not be returning.
