Cafe Mocha in Bristol, City of

Went to this café for breakfast on the recommendation of another. Being in the centre of Bristol, this is good value if you want a basic breakfast. I did not find the people serving particularly friendly or feel welcome. Service was quick but the quality of the ingredients’ poor. I had an English breakfast, bacon, sausage, toast, hash brown, poached egg and tinned mushrooms (which I left) whilst my wife had what they termed a sausage baguette. In reality it was a sausage in a panini. The coffee was on the thin and weak side. I will not be returning.

Good value caff in Bristol’s central Broadmeads that does cooked breakfasts all day. My eggs on toast, sausages and bacon were terrific, as was the coffee.

I don’t live in Bristol but come here every year when doing my Xmas shopping for breakfast. I always cross my fingers they are still here and thank goodness they are. Great atmosphere, polite and friendly staff and great down to earth food at a reasonable price. Could t ask for more! See you next year!

staff not at all friendly.When I ordered 2 cold drinks I saw the lady lick her fingers and then touch plastic cups, then she put something on the fryer and wiped her nose with her finger. Ordered 2 jacket potatoes that were not cooked and cold. Disgusting I will never go there again

Proper local cafe, serving proper breakfast food. Excellent and huge portion of food at a super reasonable price. Staff are friendly and we loved this no frills establishment

Called in for a quick coffee around mid day. The surroundings were quite basic but welcome was friendly and the service prompt.

Had toasted cheese and tomato sandwich, large mug of tea + free pint of tap water to drink. Service good, staff friendly (filled my reusable water bottle with tap water for return bus journey). Washroom facilities available for customers were clean. Would recommend this cafe good basic food will visit next time in Bristol. Wish I'd found it earlier x

Friendly service, quick to be served and excellent food. Had breakfast special fry with tea. Cost about 7 quid and was ready in 5 mins

My mam enjoyed the coffee so much said best coffee she’s ever had! Bacon and sausage sandwich’s are also very nice. Lovely service too. Will be back when we visit again

Beautifully cooked breakfast and extremely tasty. Staff were fabulous too. A great mug of oat milk cappuccino too. Would definitely visit again.

Staff very friendly and efficient. Coffee was OK but the teacake was awful could not eat it. Wanted to use the toilet and negotiated the steep stairs to find the most terrible W.C. ever walked straight out. Not impressed with their hygine and wondered about the food if the staff used that W.C. Shame because such a good position.

Was in town early this morning, hoping for a decent cafe that wasn't part of some huge chain. About to give up looking when I spotted Cafe Mocha. Had a very tasty vegetarian breakfast, nicely presented and at a reasonable price. Service was quick and efficient and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would be happy to go there next time I'm around.

Popped in here for a quick cuppa between bus journeys to Noah's Ark zoo from South Wales. Nice, tidy caf with proper big mugs and hearty breakfasts being fried in an open kitchen. My kinda thing, a proper little independent and unpretentious cafe. My fella asked for a caramel latte. No probs. I asked for an Americano with milk and vanilla syrup. The server's reaction to my order was comical and her words even became a jokey catch-phrase between me and my partner for the rest of the day! She goes, as if I'd asked for ketchup in my cuppa, totally stone-faced, "Syrup?! .... With? The Americano?! You mean a latte." We laughed (not at her, we were just happy and taken aback by her disgust at what we thought was a pretty bog-standard request) and I said "no" and politely repeated my order. She made a right flap of it then, scowled and asked her manager what to enter on the till. By this point, we were just laughing to eachother but there was no way even a squidge of a smile was coming out of this lady. She just stared up at my partner blank-faced and moody. He wasn't even looking at her! She proper miserably stared us out. As it goes, the coffee was lovely. She seemed to smile and engage with other customers so I don't know if it was because we were Welsh or...? Gave us a laugh and a nice coffee anyways

Popped in for a cappuccino. The setting is small and very greasy spoon, the coffee was huge but quite weak. It was ok as a hideaway from the rain, but generally not a great experience. Might be ok for a cheap fry up.
