Helped a friend celebrate a big birthday here and had a great time. The food was excellent, we were a large party and everyone's steaks were cooked to order. Charming and hard working staff. Highly recommended

Bit difficult, I went there after a funeral and the room we were in was a bit hot and gloomy. Otherwise it was pleasant enough and the rest of the establishment is really nice. I spent some time outside on the veranda cooling down and the views are great. I can imagine it gets busy in the summertime.

Not great. A party of 2, 1 dish was missed from the order and when enquired the first time I was told 10 minutes to then asked again 20 minutes later when the waiter said it will be 5 minutes (waited another 15 minutes) to be told to eat my food alone as it won't be replaced. Sauces served twice with hair on it and overall very poor service. Great location for drinks, don't eat here, you'll be disappointed.

What a disappointment - went for a late Sunday roast, asked for beef and was told ‘let me just check if we have any left’. A plate arrived with two slices of cold, dark, hardened and super dry beef which was inedible. There was no Yorkshire pudding. The young lad serving was clearly not able to deal with my dissatisfaction so I asked him to speak to his manager. The plate was replaced and it was clear that a new joint had been prepared begging the question how long had those last 2 pieces been standing around for. The meal was not great, nor was it hot, we were not asked whether we wanted any sauces and had to request this once I managed to alert a waiter. The service was slow despite only 3 tables inside the restaurant being occupied. The pub has the perfect location on the river and yet inside it was dark and impersonal with no atmosphere. The manager at the desk who checked us in was abrupt and seemed to be rushing around a lot of the time. I was told that my dish would be taken off the bill but when asking for the bill it had not been, however this was corrected immediately and I appreciated this. I’d would not have a roast here again.

Lovely pub/restaurant right in the river. Great place to stop off.

I've had multiple great experiences here, I love the location on the river. I love the food I personally enjoy the diablo pizza and the dirty burger, staff is friendly and have treated me really well.

Even the beautiful bucolic views across the Thames to Bushy Park were not enough to save the dire offerings from this popular run of the mill pub diner. On the pumps a limited selection of middle of the road beers, in the kitchen, something else again. "It's company policy to serve our beef well done," was the platitude when having to send back what, in another catalogue, would have served better on the bottom of a pair of Oxford brogues. But should we be surprised? Tied houses, mediocre food, high prices are increasingly the norm in this sector where taking a family for Sunday lunch is akin to burning £20 notes in an autumn bonfire for little return other than wood smoke. Maybe the turn of the seasons will see some improvement but I won't be holding my breath

Visited here with my partner, lovely decking over looking the water but drinks took 20 minutes to arrive, food was extortionately priced for the quality. The table next to us was serviced multiples whilst we had empty plates, after 40 minutes of no service we had to go to the bar to pay ourselves which was a shame as we would have liked another drink.

Great pub with a lovely terrace overlooking the river - sit outside if you can! I had the sea bass which was delicious; plenty of other tasty lighter dishes too like their panzanella salad which is just what you need on a hot day ☀️ Young wait staff seemed a little flustered but were quick, attentive and accommodating. The pub is effectively only accessible by stairs: there are a few tables that can be accessed by going around the side of the building but these do not have table service!

Staff lovely but overstretched; hard to locate! Food alas so average. Chewy burger meat. Pizza leathery. Not a great meal. Outside of pub/ restaurant so tired and tatty. Really sad to see this pub fading!

The food was very average, service was slow & the only reason it warrants 3 stars is due to its location by the river. So much more could have been done to improve the restaurant and experience it offers its clients.

Wonderful riverside location, we sat on the Upper Deck with table service. Service was excellent - friendly professional staff who knew their stuff and cared about doing a great job. Food was delicious. All in all a great experience.

Our waiter was Uros. He was friendly and helpful. The food was well presented and tasted delicious. Lovely pub in a beautiful setting right on the Thames.

We had a tremendous lunch at the Albany! All starters and mains arrived promptly, and we’re all delicious. Compliments to the chef and the staff who made our day!

went here on a Tuesday night with my friends, It took them 30 minutes to ask for our drinks which was asked by a boy who looked like he was about to run off whilst we were ordering. They then took another 20 minutes to bring out bottled drinks, but they did put that on the house, which was nice of them. Our food was really nice and the view was amazing, but the overall service was terrible. Everyone was in a rush And no tables were cleaned so it looked like a mess. I’ll waiter eventually said sorry in the end, but just feel like he could’ve been a bit happier. I do feel for the team as they could’ve been shortstaffed, but even a sorry throughout the meal would have been nice. We also ordered another drink, which then again took another 20 minutes for one solo drink and we heard them making it 20 minutes after ordering (it was super quiet so no one else was ordering drinks). It’s a real shame because I really like this pub

Fantastic lunch today! The weather really helped and the view and location were incredible!!!!

I reached the place kayaking in the river. I ordered the scallops. The plate was expensive, tiny and they mixed the scallops with pork belly!! It was disgusting! Nothing else to eat for a pescatarian who needed to return to the water quickly to return the kayak. Food took 25 minutes to come. No vegetarian food. Just a thought for those who are planning on eating there while on a trip to the river.

Fabulous location and great service from Angel. Rotisserie chicken was dried and not good but everything else was very good. Chicken was removed from bill.

A beautiful pub located right on the Thames. Absolutely fantastic waitresses and a special mention to Max, the manager who has been very hospitable, kind and generous. Fantastic food (the pork belly & scallops are a must), great selection of alcoholic beverages, variety of children’s meals, lovely views outside where you can eat & drink. I certainly will be a regular there! Thank you again.

The food was okay, small portions. The service was quite poor, waited over 20 minutes for dessert, and had to ask twice for it. Waitresses were arguing between themselves, which doesn't create a nice atmosphere to be.

Shocking service. Stood at the bar for ten minutes before being served. Multiple staff walking past ignoring. Needs a shake up and improved management.

Had an amazing experience at the Albany - tucked in a resident area but has amazing views over river Thames and overlooking Hampton court gardens . Food was good and the outdoor seating is perfect for a nice weather. Nice place to go out with friends and family. Definitely returning back when around this area.

It was our first time in the pub we recently just moved in the area, the food was lovely we hade wonderful burgers and lovely wine recommended by the waiter Angel. He made sure that the food will arrive on time he gave us the best service ever!!! I recommend to everyone to try the burgers they are banging, we will definitely come back again lovely pub

Nice pub, good location. Customer service was excellent with very friendly staff. In terms of ordering: Ordered 4 items on the food menu. One came after 10 minutes of ordering, the remaining three took an additional 40 minutes. Food was okay, nothing special. For the price and the type of establishment, its below expectations. Lastly, and most importantly, the Guinness was atrocious, still drank, but not great.

This is a lovely riverside pub Our visit coincided with Thames Ditton's regatta, so very busy and a great atmosphere We had some food from the bar menu, which was excellent All the staff were friendly and professional. Didn't try the restaurant inside, but it looked lovely. Thanks to the Albany team for a great afternoon.

Food was lovely, staff were helpful. But the music was too loud and a alarm went off for about 15 mins during the meal.

Food was lovely, although I couldn't see any rice noodles in my noodle duck salad and no chocolate in my chocolate creme brulee. Staff were very good and it was a relaxing lunch I would visit again

Went a couple of days ago and ended up staying much longer than expected. The singer was really extremely good, and the atmosphere was fantastic, people were shouting for more and more. A very great evening, will definitely go again.

Beautiful location next to river tucked away down a quiet road. Food was very tasty. Eleni and Lauren were great hosts.

Waited one hour yesterday for very dry meega portion of food, which gave me an upset tummy. Plus having to listen to a singer recking classic songs. A really bad evening. Never again!!

Nice location by the river for drinks, but the food is overpriced and pretty poor

Went for a quick pint with the lads. Ended up having a full 3 course meal thanks to Jess who was very convincing in recommending we go for the chef specials . Think she needs a promotion or bonus of some sort.

Me and some friends came in today for lunch and were served by the lovely Jess, she made us feel welcome and was really friendly. Will definitely be returning!

I am a regular customer for the Albany and have recently turned vegan, I had noticed that they had only 1 vegan option on the menu as well as a salad. I was quite disappointed. The service was amazing as always but I wasn’t able to have the fries as they weren’t vegan themselves. Unfortunately my next visit won’t be anytime soon, until they add more vegan options to the menu.

Len is incredible - so friendly and accommodating. Wonderful views - can’t wait to visit again!
