Went with the family, Callim was a fantastic server, very swell and admirable guy. Service and food were excellent, especially the parfait, top tier parfait, will be coming again.

Amazing setting, brilliant food but the service is what makes it all come together. Will be coming back here often. Len served us and she made the difference, top notch service.

River view is perfect. If you come here, you should drink only! Foods are awful. I ordered dirty burger and beef crouquettes, but unfortunately they were so bad. You prefer drinks only. In addition toilets was so dirty and there were no napkins.

Visited the Albany last Friday ( 16/05/25 ) we chose the lunchtime set menu but were disappointed with the standard of food. We had to seat ourselves as there were no staff available when we arrived for our booking, service was slow and we were not offered a wine list and consequently were surprised at the price of an average bottle of Pinot Grigio when we got the bill. We found the whole experience very underwhelming and although the interior of the pub is very stylish, the ladies & gents toilets left a lot to be desired from a cleanliness point of view.

Waiter had a bad day.. asked us for our order three times and still brought the wrong dish to the table

We didn't have a reservation but since we we arrived early evening we managed to get a table, it soon filled up around us. We chose inside as it was quite blowy out on the terrace, but it did look lovely out there by the water. Staff were pleasant enough though looked a little harassed even before it got busy. They did not seem to have any sense of humour when we tried chatting to them while ordering, which was a shame. The food itself was lovely, well cooked and well presented. That and the drinks were a little slow to come out but was worth the wait. We mostly had the fish dishes and everything tasted fresh. The reason I've marked the place down is the toilets. They were abysmal. The rest of the place looks clean, well decorated, very upmarket, but the toilets are disgrace. They need an overhaul/upgrade and a deep clean!

I really liked this place. The setting is beautiful, by the river. It has different outdoor areas for all tastes; for me, the lower deck - informal and just by the water - really stands out. If you want a terrace a little bit more formal, the upper deck is great. The food was good, much better than the average pub food (we had pork belly and salmon), but I have to say that the burgers and pizzas didn't look good - we didn't taste them. The menu offers a wide range of options; it's more like a restaurant menu than a pub menu. But the service wasn't good, and we weren't the only ones suffering the consequences; several tables around us were in the same situation, waiting far too long for the food and experiencing mistaken orders. Even so, our waitress, Lucie, did her very best to mitigate the problems. I have to recognize that we were enjoying the place and had plenty of time, so waiting one hour for the food wasn't such an awful experience. In conclusion, I loved the place; the setting and the food deserved 5 stars, but the service was pretty bad.

Louise was the perfect was the perfect Server - with 100% attention to detail. Food arrived quickly and was absolutely lovely - good choice on the menu and drinks. A great night out.

Really nice get together for my dad’s 86th birthday . He enjoyed himself a lot Our server was Lucie She was so good. Super friendly and fun and professional and went the extra mile to ensure dad got a birthday song and candle! Very much appreciated by us all Only negatives is is very noisy and difficult to hear each other speak as was so busy ( which is a great sign) and we did have cold fries that were changed quickly then came back hot but not fully cooked Lovely food otherwise

Exceptionally average. The service and welcome we got was almost as frosty as the temperature, multiple staff walked past us as we were waiting to order and ignored us, the food was ok, we had roasts, the beef was dry, very well done and lacked any moisture to make a good roast succulent and considering we ordered at noon it seems odd. This dish tasted and looked like beef that’s been pre sliced and is a day or two old, the parsnip was barely cooked through and the gravy was salty, the roast potatoes were good that being said. Some very average wines on the wine list that are super over priced circa £40-£50+ for bottles like the Ned or Cloudy Bay. Whispering Angel is almost £20 a 250ml glass - the full bottle you can buy for £22. These small things wouldn’t matter as much if the atmosphere was a bit more inviting but the staff comes across like they don’t care if you ever return; unfriendly and ignore you. One younger chap was the only one who was helpful on service. There are other places locally that make you feel like they value your custom, we decided we would much rather overspend at one of the other places. It’s a shame as the views and location are great.

Came for some drinks for my birthday and it was brilliant. The team were helpful and efficient. The food was prompt and yummy. The wonderful Len had amazing communication prior to us coming and everything was very straight forward and well organised. Thank you to the Albany team!

We have been to The Albany a number of times and the food has always been very good. We most recently visited for Easter Lunch today and were blown away by the service from Lucie. From the off she was really friendly and accomodating. Nothing was too much trouble and she was brilliant with my three year old. A true credit to the team.

Had a lovely sunny afternoon drink by the river. It was my first trip out after knee surgery and wasn’t sure how accessible it would be for me. Parking was good and there’s lots of ramps. Our server Len was amazing! She made sure we had a good accessible table for me and looked after us all.

Very poor service and food. We were waiting to be seated for an unacceptably long time, as staff walked past without any kind of acknowledgment. The waiting time for our food was also unacceptable, and the food itself was poor, including a ‘medium rare’ steak which was close to raw and practically inedible. Nice views of the river though…

Came here for lunch with my grandparents. They're usually so picky, but absolutely loved everything they ate especially the fish and chips. And our server Lucie was an absolute gem (their words). Couldn't stop raving about how nice she was, which again is uncommon for them.

We were simply refused to be served any food because they did not have enough food for the whole weekend. It was 7:38pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was almost empty.

Despite arriving an hour late for our reservation, we were found two tables for 10 people and and had good food and attentive service from Angel & Jake. Well priced food in a great riverside location.

The Albany in Thames Dutton, close to Hampton Court (on the south side of the river though), what a wonderful pub! (Also a restaurant). It is exceptional, hidden away in a residential area at the end of a domestic street. Then it hits you, a magnificent Hostelry, perched on the edge of the Thames. Wonderful, a fine offering of keg beers along with a couple of cask ales. These are brilliantly served by Len, one of the team. A superb place to have a drink and a meal in the spring or any other time of the year. Well done to the whole team at The Albany!! X

Great location, but unfortunately, the food leaves much to be desired even for a pub menu! If you’re just looking for a nice view, it might work, but don’t go expecting much more.

Terrible service. 3 hours to get 3 courses on their Mother’s Day menu. The manager was rude and incompetent. The food was ok but the staff are all over the place as the manager doesn’t know what he’s doing

Had a lovely meal today despite it obviously being very busy. We experienced a small delay, but the staff managed it very well and were still attentative and polite throughout - Lucie was a star 😊

Went for the Bottomless Bubbles, lovely weather, well with the money. Angel made the best drinks! Denys recommended the best food! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great bottomless meal. Loved it!

Albany is amazing - food, vibe. But really amazing was service - Jake our waiter was incredible - in his suggestions, HOW he served us, his openness and friendliness. But also others - a woman who served us one round of wine and Kostia who brought us food. But Jake is our top and we ordered so much more just because of his excellent service

This is one of our favourite places to eat locally and it didn't disappoint. We were sad, as too cold, on the evening we last visited not to be able to sit outside on the beautiful terrace but want to "thank" Jake and Max who looked after us, for going above and beyond to make it a truly special evening. Half our party were Vegetarian but this did not present a problem. Jane and Max were most attentive. Service was quick, efficient and friendly.. All our guests had a great night !!

Went for a drink on Sunday lunchtime as the weather was good. Really shabby on the lower terrace outside. Tables and chairs not laid out properly, peeling paintwork, only 1 out of 4 patio heaters were working, considering how nice this pub is inside the outside is a real let down. The weather is picking up and the views of the river are lovely. You're really missing a trick

Len and the team delivered amazing service from the start when we phoned up. My mother-in-law is disabled and we wanted to check they had facilities for disabled access. Len reserved us a table next to the ramped entrance, advised us where to park and opened the door for her to enter. Her service was amazing and really made our experience more enjoyable. We would return just to be served by Len!

We had a tremendous lunch at the Albany! All starters and mains arrived promptly, and we’re all delicious. Compliments to the chef and the staff who made our day!

Decent little riverside pub, with seating at the rear on the Thames. Decent selection of food, which is also of good quality. Raclette is highly recommended!

What a sunny day outside overlooking the river. The staff are all very nice, friendly and great service I feel the food let them down a bit The fish and chips was tasteless, the chips and fries not well done and again tasteless no salt nothing. The chicken burger was dry The good one was the roasted lamb everyone loved it A shame really... Kitchen needs improving but the atmosphere was great

Nice spot by the river. Will be great in the summer month. We had roast chicken and the ribeye steak - both really good. They seem to have had some bad reviews based on service but something must have changed as we had friendly servers, and didn’t wait long for our food. Will come again.

Myself and two friends had dinner at The Albany a few days ago. It has become our ‘go to’ place to meet. The food is fantastic, the ambiance great and we were served by Lucie who was friendly, professional and efficient.

Went yesterday with my hubbie for lunch and never a dissapointment, amazing food and exceptional service from Jake, worth the 1hr drive, will be back again

We had a really lovely family meal at The Albany. Jake was looking after our table and he couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. He recommended the lamb which was on the specials menu, and he was spot on. It was delicious. All the meals were - fish and chips, roast beef and my 4 year old had tomato pasta. It's not a negative comment, just a bit of feedback that might be helpful for some visitors - my son's pasta had some really tasty spinach in it but I don't think many young children would eat spinach so perhaps peas/carrots/sweetcorn would be a safer bet. It was easily taken out and I enjoyed munching on it so it wasn't wasted. Thank you and we will be back!

Service for our group was chaotic. Group meal was very good if arrived 'eccentrically'. Previous visit as a couple was spoilt by order being forgotten! Were not charged for meal when did arrive. UPDATE: Back again on 10/1/25 with another group and this time service was well organised (4 stars at least), with pre-order properly planned and plenty of serving staff.

Eleni provided excellent service, delivering the perfect balance of attentiveness during a busy Sunday lunch period. She recommended the roast lamb (special) which was superb as was the Sunday roast trio!

We booked for sunday lunch here. Booking was easy to do online. The table waa nice and big and the restaurant was busy with a good atmosphere. Service was good with the waiting staff being very attentive. Our food was delicious with some of us ordering various roasts. The desserts were also delicious. We couldn't fault the food or the service. I would definitely recommend eating here.

Went for a family lunch on an early Saturday sitting. Food was nice, but quite pricy. Good quality though. Have been here at other times, and although busy it has a great atmosphere in hot / sunny days.
