Had a great lunch. Service was awesome - very professional and helpful. Full knowledge of the menu (which sounds basic but not often known). I would definitely go back. Credit to Len and Lucie who looked after us. Thank you.

Despite arriving an hour late for our reservation, we were found two tables for 10 people and and had good food and attentive service from Angel & Jake. Well priced food in a great riverside location.

The Albany in Thames Dutton, close to Hampton Court (on the south side of the river though), what a wonderful pub! (Also a restaurant). It is exceptional, hidden away in a residential area at the end of a domestic street. Then it hits you, a magnificent Hostelry, perched on the edge of the Thames. Wonderful, a fine offering of keg beers along with a couple of cask ales. These are brilliantly served by Len, one of the team. A superb place to have a drink and a meal in the spring or any other time of the year. Well done to the whole team at The Albany!! X

Great location, but unfortunately, the food leaves much to be desired even for a pub menu! If you’re just looking for a nice view, it might work, but don’t go expecting much more.

Terrible service. 3 hours to get 3 courses on their Mother’s Day menu. The manager was rude and incompetent. The food was ok but the staff are all over the place as the manager doesn’t know what he’s doing

Had a lovely meal today despite it obviously being very busy. We experienced a small delay, but the staff managed it very well and were still attentative and polite throughout - Lucie was a star 😊

Had a lovely time, there were a few delays due to being extremely busy for Mother’s Day, however staff managed the situation exceptionally well.

Went for the Bottomless Bubbles, lovely weather, well with the money. Angel made the best drinks! Denys recommended the best food! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great bottomless meal. Loved it!

Albany is amazing - food, vibe. But really amazing was service - Jake our waiter was incredible - in his suggestions, HOW he served us, his openness and friendliness. But also others - a woman who served us one round of wine and Kostia who brought us food. But Jake is our top and we ordered so much more just because of his excellent service

This is one of our favourite places to eat locally and it didn't disappoint. We were sad, as too cold, on the evening we last visited not to be able to sit outside on the beautiful terrace but want to "thank" Jake and Max who looked after us, for going above and beyond to make it a truly special evening. Half our party were Vegetarian but this did not present a problem. Jane and Max were most attentive. Service was quick, efficient and friendly.. All our guests had a great night !!

Went for a drink on Sunday lunchtime as the weather was good. Really shabby on the lower terrace outside. Tables and chairs not laid out properly, peeling paintwork, only 1 out of 4 patio heaters were working, considering how nice this pub is inside the outside is a real let down. The weather is picking up and the views of the river are lovely. You're really missing a trick

Len and the team delivered amazing service from the start when we phoned up. My mother-in-law is disabled and we wanted to check they had facilities for disabled access. Len reserved us a table next to the ramped entrance, advised us where to park and opened the door for her to enter. Her service was amazing and really made our experience more enjoyable. We would return just to be served by Len!

We had a tremendous lunch at the Albany! All starters and mains arrived promptly, and we’re all delicious. Compliments to the chef and the staff who made our day!

I intended to have a beer, finish my work on my laptop and leave. But Len recommended a stake which was really yummy and got me to stay for a longer time . Lovely place, good food and amazing staff.

Decent little riverside pub, with seating at the rear on the Thames. Decent selection of food, which is also of good quality. Raclette is highly recommended!

What a sunny day outside overlooking the river. The staff are all very nice, friendly and great service I feel the food let them down a bit The fish and chips was tasteless, the chips and fries not well done and again tasteless no salt nothing. The chicken burger was dry The good one was the roasted lamb everyone loved it A shame really... Kitchen needs improving but the atmosphere was great

Came for bottomless brunch with some mates. Great service and food was delicious! Nice to sit by the river on a sunny day.

Nice spot by the river. Will be great in the summer month. We had roast chicken and the ribeye steak - both really good. They seem to have had some bad reviews based on service but something must have changed as we had friendly servers, and didn’t wait long for our food. Will come again.

Myself and two friends had dinner at The Albany a few days ago. It has become our ‘go to’ place to meet. The food is fantastic, the ambiance great and we were served by Lucie who was friendly, professional and efficient.

Went yesterday with my hubbie for lunch and never a dissapointment, amazing food and exceptional service from Jake, worth the 1hr drive, will be back again

We had a really lovely family meal at The Albany. Jake was looking after our table and he couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. He recommended the lamb which was on the specials menu, and he was spot on. It was delicious. All the meals were - fish and chips, roast beef and my 4 year old had tomato pasta. It's not a negative comment, just a bit of feedback that might be helpful for some visitors - my son's pasta had some really tasty spinach in it but I don't think many young children would eat spinach so perhaps peas/carrots/sweetcorn would be a safer bet. It was easily taken out and I enjoyed munching on it so it wasn't wasted. Thank you and we will be back!

Service for our group was chaotic. Group meal was very good if arrived 'eccentrically'. Previous visit as a couple was spoilt by order being forgotten! Were not charged for meal when did arrive. UPDATE: Back again on 10/1/25 with another group and this time service was well organised (4 stars at least), with pre-order properly planned and plenty of serving staff.

Eleni provided excellent service, delivering the perfect balance of attentiveness during a busy Sunday lunch period. She recommended the roast lamb (special) which was superb as was the Sunday roast trio!

We booked for sunday lunch here. Booking was easy to do online. The table waa nice and big and the restaurant was busy with a good atmosphere. Service was good with the waiting staff being very attentive. Our food was delicious with some of us ordering various roasts. The desserts were also delicious. We couldn't fault the food or the service. I would definitely recommend eating here.

Went for a family lunch on an early Saturday sitting. Food was nice, but quite pricy. Good quality though. Have been here at other times, and although busy it has a great atmosphere in hot / sunny days.

Large group went for lunch to celebrate my Mum’s 91st birthday. Had consistently excellent service from ALL the staff but particularly our waitress Eleni. It seemed nothing was too much trouble. She was charming, professional and prompt. Best service I’ve had for a while. We all agreed. The food was delicious. Between us we ate various dishes from the menu and everyone was very happy. The atmosphere was friendly and convivial, without being too loud. Would highly recommend.

Only 3 stars for food as I’m veggie, excited to see aubergine lasagne on menu but they had run out so opted for pizza but told they had no pizza based so ended up having a dish I wouldn’t normally have chosen (plant burger). Also food was served on cold plates. On the plus side our waitress, Eleni, was fantastic, super friendly and helpful and lovely atmosphere too.

Helped a friend celebrate a big birthday here and had a great time. The food was excellent, we were a large party and everyone's steaks were cooked to order. Charming and hard working staff. Highly recommended

Bit difficult, I went there after a funeral and the room we were in was a bit hot and gloomy. Otherwise it was pleasant enough and the rest of the establishment is really nice. I spent some time outside on the veranda cooling down and the views are great. I can imagine it gets busy in the summertime.

Not great. A party of 2, 1 dish was missed from the order and when enquired the first time I was told 10 minutes to then asked again 20 minutes later when the waiter said it will be 5 minutes (waited another 15 minutes) to be told to eat my food alone as it won't be replaced. Sauces served twice with hair on it and overall very poor service. Great location for drinks, don't eat here, you'll be disappointed.

What a disappointment - went for a late Sunday roast, asked for beef and was told ‘let me just check if we have any left’. A plate arrived with two slices of cold, dark, hardened and super dry beef which was inedible. There was no Yorkshire pudding. The young lad serving was clearly not able to deal with my dissatisfaction so I asked him to speak to his manager. The plate was replaced and it was clear that a new joint had been prepared begging the question how long had those last 2 pieces been standing around for. The meal was not great, nor was it hot, we were not asked whether we wanted any sauces and had to request this once I managed to alert a waiter. The service was slow despite only 3 tables inside the restaurant being occupied. The pub has the perfect location on the river and yet inside it was dark and impersonal with no atmosphere. The manager at the desk who checked us in was abrupt and seemed to be rushing around a lot of the time. I was told that my dish would be taken off the bill but when asking for the bill it had not been, however this was corrected immediately and I appreciated this. I’d would not have a roast here again.

I've had multiple great experiences here, I love the location on the river. I love the food I personally enjoy the diablo pizza and the dirty burger, staff is friendly and have treated me really well.

Even the beautiful bucolic views across the Thames to Bushy Park were not enough to save the dire offerings from this popular run of the mill pub diner. On the pumps a limited selection of middle of the road beers, in the kitchen, something else again. "It's company policy to serve our beef well done," was the platitude when having to send back what, in another catalogue, would have served better on the bottom of a pair of Oxford brogues. But should we be surprised? Tied houses, mediocre food, high prices are increasingly the norm in this sector where taking a family for Sunday lunch is akin to burning £20 notes in an autumn bonfire for little return other than wood smoke. Maybe the turn of the seasons will see some improvement but I won't be holding my breath

Visited here with my partner, lovely decking over looking the water but drinks took 20 minutes to arrive, food was extortionately priced for the quality. The table next to us was serviced multiples whilst we had empty plates, after 40 minutes of no service we had to go to the bar to pay ourselves which was a shame as we would have liked another drink.

Staff lovely but overstretched; hard to locate! Food alas so average. Chewy burger meat. Pizza leathery. Not a great meal. Outside of pub/ restaurant so tired and tatty. Really sad to see this pub fading!

Great pub with a lovely terrace overlooking the river - sit outside if you can! I had the sea bass which was delicious; plenty of other tasty lighter dishes too like their panzanella salad which is just what you need on a hot day ☀️ Young wait staff seemed a little flustered but were quick, attentive and accommodating. The pub is effectively only accessible by stairs: there are a few tables that can be accessed by going around the side of the building but these do not have table service!

The food was very average, service was slow & the only reason it warrants 3 stars is due to its location by the river. So much more could have been done to improve the restaurant and experience it offers its clients.

Wonderful riverside location, we sat on the Upper Deck with table service. Service was excellent - friendly professional staff who knew their stuff and cared about doing a great job. Food was delicious. All in all a great experience.

went here on a Tuesday night with my friends, It took them 30 minutes to ask for our drinks which was asked by a boy who looked like he was about to run off whilst we were ordering. They then took another 20 minutes to bring out bottled drinks, but they did put that on the house, which was nice of them. Our food was really nice and the view was amazing, but the overall service was terrible. Everyone was in a rush And no tables were cleaned so it looked like a mess. I’ll waiter eventually said sorry in the end, but just feel like he could’ve been a bit happier. I do feel for the team as they could’ve been shortstaffed, but even a sorry throughout the meal would have been nice. We also ordered another drink, which then again took another 20 minutes for one solo drink and we heard them making it 20 minutes after ordering (it was super quiet so no one else was ordering drinks). It’s a real shame because I really like this pub

I reached the place kayaking in the river. I ordered the scallops. The plate was expensive, tiny and they mixed the scallops with pork belly!! It was disgusting! Nothing else to eat for a pescatarian who needed to return to the water quickly to return the kayak. Food took 25 minutes to come. No vegetarian food. Just a thought for those who are planning on eating there while on a trip to the river.
