Aladdin's Indian Dining in Stratford-on-Avon

Fabulous find , lovely attentive staff, good atmosphere, excelkent value and food was delicious and really good portions. My chicken Tikka was delicious . Wish we lived closer

Nice place,good atmosphere and tasty food at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and efficient. The only small criticism I have is that if anything the waiters are too quick at everything . We wanted to have a leisurely meal and take our time to order,chat between courses and enjoy the event over our meal catching up with friends from overseas. The staff seemed to want things done at a pace so it felt as if we were being rushed and as soon as we had finished our meal the table was cleared at breakneck speed. A small point but as it was our first time at the restaurant it would have made it more special if we had not felt that we were under pressure to get through our meal as quickly as possible.

Was introduced to this place by my in-laws and it’s become a family staple. I CRAVE their food whenever I’m visiting. The service is immaculate and their Chicken Makhani is absolutely delicious. Breads, rice, starters and daals are absolutely sublime. Always a pleasure visiting!

We ended up by chance having a take away meal from Aladdin’s as we had been turned away from our campsite as they were afraid the River might burst its banks. We expected the standard take away meal….a bit greasy, too sweet or over spiced. What we got was beautifully cooked fresh food with quality ingredients and subtly spiced. The rice was perfect, the aloo gobi was chunky with fresh cauliflower and potato and beautifully spiced. The chicken tikka masala was full of tender chunks of chicken and the sauce was delicious. Well done to the chefs! Thank you!

We were booked in for our second visit on a recent trip to Stratford but our daughter became ill so we couldn't go. Instead, we got take away and the food was just gorgeous. Fresh, well cooked, and really, really tasty. Would thoroughly recommend (we love a curry, and would put this place in our top 3)

Absolutely fantastic Indian restaurant. I first visited - on recommendation - with friends when our wives were away on a jaunt, and we were all extremely impressed. So impressed was I, I’ve now taken my wife and she was blown away. The ambience, the welcome, the service, the food, the value for money: this is easily one of the best Indian restaurants we’ve been to in the UK, and we’ve been to more than a few in our time. I cannot recommend highly enough.

This place was recommended by the host of our stay in Stratford upon Avon and it did not disappoint! Honestly the best curry and best naan ever, everything we had from starters to desserts were delicious. A wonderful special touch for my birthday too. Fantastic food, amazing service and a great price too - cannot fault a single thing and we will absolutely be making the hour drive to come and eat again. Thank you!!

I had a fabulous meal last night with my husband and son. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and attentive. They really looked after us. The food choices were amazing and when our order arrived it was all truly delicious. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. We have visited a few restaurants during our stay in Stratford but Aladdin’s dining was by far the best for food service and value for money

When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly staff. We were guided by the staff to our table and when we sat down, the staff frequently checking up on us. When we ordered, the food came very quickly. The food was served hot and was delicious. The friendly staff frequently asked if our meals were okay. After our meal we were given hot towels to freshen up. Would highly recommend, very friendly staff, very delicious food and amazing service!

I’ve been visiting Aladdin’s for 14 years and the standards of service, menu and quality has remained as exceptional. This evening I enjoyed a phenomenal curry. If you like a curry that has spice yet you want to taste and enjoy the flavours of ingredients then I highly recommend the lamb naga (chicken is available). Apparently the naga curry is hotter in spice than the vindaloo and phall. However, the vindaloo and phall lacks the taste of the flavours yet the naga combines both heat and flavour. The mighty Naga Chilli has its origins in Bangladesh and India. It is renowned for its almighty heat. Packing up to 1.1million Scoville Heat Units (SHU), it's in the top ten of the world's hottest chillies. Thanks to the team, the service is always first class.

Always 5 star! We moved to Tiddington in 2008 and wouldn't go anywhere else. It is always busy, which is a good sign. Great service and can make the dishes to your liking such as a little hotter, more spice etc. There is a great choice on the menu and they are happy to explain the dishes. Alladins is the best Indian restaurant we've been to. Very welcoming, staff are charming and nothing is too much trouble. The Paneer Dhansak is delicious, the sauce perfectly spiced and so good. The Rogan was excellent too! Would really recommend Alladins, you won't be disappointed!

You get a warm welcome, attentive staff (with a lot of humour) and wonderful food when you visit Aladdin’s. I highly recommend it.

I’ve been coming here since I was little. I’ve travelled a lot and have never come across a better Indian restaurant! Food tastes amazing, the staff are attentive and always make you feel welcome. Good for couples, meals with family and friends and also big parties.

My friends and I went to Aladdin's for an early evening meal. As we entered the aroma's were amazing! We were greeted by a friendly chap, and shown to our table. The gentleman was greatly attentive to all our needs and the pickle tray promptly arrived with our drinks - all good... We all took a while to decided what to have, as the menu is quite extensive. One of my friends and I though, instantly decided to have lamb chops, as a starter as we both love them! My other friend had a kebab starter. He said it was delicious! Both of us who had the lamb chops were enjoying them, my first chop was lovely and tasty! - Here comes the issue - However, my second lamb chop was a basically a piece of bone with the toughest meat you could ever imagine. My mate asked if it was tough, and I replied, '...its impossible to bite through or cut with the knife...'!!! I politely asked the waiter over and explained what the issue was. I did say the first chop was lovely, then I said, unfortunately the second (you get two chops for £7.50) chop you served is inedible and incredibly tough, and more bone than meat. I did reiterated, the first chop was lovely and tender... I did not expect the reaction! I was told to use a knife, use a knife, use a knife, in sharp and some what snotty manner - and before I could even answer, '...he said what's all this bullsh*t over a tough chop.. I was gobsmacked! Wow - I honestly couldn't believe his reaction. I had been polite and courteous to him, and he was hostile and angry, and made a scene about the very naughty lamb chop... Anyway, they wouldn't replace it and had no intention of apologising. After the lovely starters, (not the toughest lamp chop in the world, ever.. ever...!) We were disappointed in the mains, and were still flabbergasted at the waiters response to our polite request about the infamous lamb chop. Our main food was very average and a bit dull to be honest, especially for the price. Over cooked chicken, and lamb main dishes, with little flavour. To be fair, another waiter, did bring a flat bottle of beer, to say this is for the lamb chop, but then said, as he walked off, no more talk about the lamb chop now.. right..! More 'Wow's.. really.. it was like he was threatening me not to mention the lamb chop again! We paid for the meal in full, funnily enough, no tip! - TIP: maybe some lessons in etiquette and basic manners? DEFO WON'T EVER BE GOING BACK - #LAMBGATE

Brilliant indian food served with a smile- all of the food we have had here has been exceptionally good. The team does a wonderful job in keeping all of the guests well cared for, and the standard of service is excellent, despite it being a very busy place. We have been coming to Aladdin’s for years as a family as it has always given us the very best food, service and overall restaurant experience in the Stratford area. Tonight we came for our daughter’s birthday and we weren’t disappointed. The food as always was first class- the same standard we have come to expect from Aladdin’s- truly delicious and second to none. The staff passionate about making sure their customers have everything they need. We were particularly impressed tonight at the knowledge of one of the waiters. My daughter mentioned to him that she particularly loved one of the dishes and she asked about it’s ingredients. He proceeded to tell us with real enthusiasm what went into the dish. Clearly passionate about the food but also keen to help us. As an unexpected extra the waiters surprised us all with singing happy birthday to our daughter and providing a cake at the end of the evening. A really special evening- thank you Aladdin’s! You are in a class of your own.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Best curry house in Warwickshire and Birmingham. You will have exceptional service here, with Tony and the staff always making us have a special dining experience. Not just the service, but the curry is quality. I've been to many curry houses around Birmingham, but none compare to Aladins. Based off the service, flavorsome currys, naan bread and selection of drinks, this is the best you'll get.

Travelled up from London to visit with family and just had a lovely evening in Aladdins. There was 12 of us and we all thought the food was amazing. We were well looked after by Tony and the team. I'd highly recommend this place.

I haven’t visited Aladdins for a number of years and this month I returned for a takeaway.As expected the welcome on arrival exceeded any other local restaurants, always very friendly.The atmosphere and surroundings are immaculate and not your traditional Indian restaurant decor. However, very tasteful and comforting with soft music playing in the background.The team are first class in appearance and very approachable and extremely knowledgeable.The food rating is in the presentation and taste and Aladdin’s never fails. Always fresh ingredients with plenty of herbs, produce and full of flavour with fantastic cuts of meat/fish or poultry.If you are looking for a takeaway or dine in then I wouldn’t hesitate ordering at Aladdins. And in the current Covid environment they are very professional.

We had had a takeaway earlier in the week and weren’t disappointed so we booked a table for Saturday night. What was interesting when we arrived was the amount of families dining and how full of local people it was. The service was outstanding, the food didn’t disappoint a second time either, the flavours were amazing without blowing your head off. We would really like them to open a restaurant in Northumberland where we live.

Been here many times before and had fantastic food . Unfortunately tonight my wife discovered a long hair in her meal . I raised this issue with the owner who tried to blame my wife who’s hair is considerably shorter and a different colour to the one found . After a heated argument with a extremely arrogant owner I eventually paid for the food we had prior to this incident! Unfortunately I will never be returning to this establishment again .

Me and my wife went to this restaurant for food and this restaurant is no good do not recommend highly over priced food came out cold at tell him to go and change it for me and no good whatsoever will not be using this restaurant no more don't know how they got five stars they should be having one star waste of time and money

we were staying at the Charlecote Pheasant but as it was our anniversary we decided to book a table as reviews were good and hotel had a limited choice. Fantastic food and service. Very good selection and one of best indian restaurants we have frequented. If you are in the area i would thoroughly recommend a visit.

We are a family of four and on holiday in the area and decided to eat here on a Wednesday night. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the extremely friendly staff. The food was excellent and well priced. We were even given complimentary Baileys at the end of the meal! We left smiling, wishing we lived closer and could visit again.

We asked for more pickles with the popadoms and we received a huge portion of pickles, happy faces all around. Good choice of food all well presented and tasty. Service excellent

Four adults booked for an early evening meal. Staff were all very attentive and gave good advice about ordering. The courses were served in a timely manner, and each course and meal were fantastic, extremely tasty and I would fully recommend a visit. The cost for drinks, starters, mains and coffee was less than £25 per head.The restaurant is situated in a small village a couple of miles from Stratford centre. The restaurant is clean, well maintained and comfortable.We will certainly book again when we are in the area

Our favourite place to eat when we are staying in Tiddington or Stratford. Booked a table with my husband for my 50th Birthday. Staff very efficient, food absolutely delicious and flavoursome, drinks great and very good value for an excellent meal. Complementary Baileys to finish all for less than £60 with drinks, sides, starters. Special mention to the member of staff (used to live in Bedford) for dealing really well with a rude customer. He isn’t there to be spoken to in a rude manner, he’s a lovely man who took time to have a chat with us and looked after us all night. See you again at the end of June

Came here from the nearby youth hostel association for a take away Decided to eat in The curries were fantastic and the prawn biryani commented by my partner had the most prawns in such a dish that she had experienced Faultless service and faultless foodConsidering it was a Thursday evening it was very well patronised

Being new to the area was anxious to find a great Indian take away had a fantastic take away (this was prior to restaurants being allowed to reopen) the collection service was organised with hand sanitizer available Food was excellent

Nothing is freshly cooked as they claim. All is re-heated. Another second-hand Indian restaurant. Particularly, samosa is horrible. To compare, Tesco's samosas are master chef quality. Popadoms had a rancid smell & taste, probably they have not replaced the cooking oil since the pandemic started.

So me and my family have been coming here for 23 years and it IS THE BEST INDIAN WE HAVE EVER BEEN TO. My personal favourite is their Pathia, it’s bloody delicious. Definitely recommend to anyone that likes Asian food. Kudos to the chefs! Also the front of house and the owner are soo lovely! Always have a great chin wag with them all. Much love!

The review below by Malcolmfire is absolutely false, they posted on a local forum and never even mentioned their issues to the establishment, whom are always very accommodating to any requests and complaints - not that I’ve ever had any complaints! Always willing to offer advice and recommend new dishes to you if you fancy something different. The staff and the owner Ala are always so lovely and the food is by far the best Indian we have ever had! - our go to take away in lockdown. Recommend this to everyone who comes to Stratford!

Living locally I have used this restaurant in many occasions & it can swing from good to mediocre. Tonight we decided to have a takeaway (first in lockdown) to support a local business. Both mine & my partners meals were abysmal: chicken dry, rice dry & naan rubbery. I would guess that this was concocted using left over chicken & rice reheated.

We had tried to eat here before but it was so popular we could not, so we were determined to get a table last Saturday. The service and food were excellent. A special mention to Farid, who took great care of us. We asked for and received advice on what to choose as we normally stick to a couple of choices. Farid listened to what we liked and his advice was brilliant. He also explained what was in the food and he was very friendly and made our experience even more enjoyable.

Fantastic meal and atmosphere. Very extensive menu and some unusual dishes. Good portion size and value for money. It was our first visit and we will definitely be returning soon. Very clean and good Covid measures. All the team were very welcoming especially Farid.

Fabulous food and service yet again. We had a great meal, it is always difficult to choose what items to have as all of the items we have eaten here have been excellent. Good sized portions of chicken and lamb in the main courses. Naan bread with garlic and coriander cooked just how it should be. Service was excellent and though it was busy on a Saturday night we felt safe and looked after. Well done all. The fish tikka starter is outstanding!

Just come back from here food lovely but only four pieces of chicken in both our curries. Felt very rushed not able to relax . Won’t go back staff lovely and as said food taste great but four pieces of chicken in a curry ?? No thanks plus feel really stressed ! Not relaxing at a deff not value for money

Alojarse en el parque de caravanas cercano decidimos intentarlo y me alegro de haberlo hecho. Por 16 libras por cabeza, puede elegir entre entrantes, plato principal, guarnición y café. Valor excelente, pero la comida es aún mejor. El entrante de tikka de salmón de mi esposa fue una delicia. Tuve shaslik de cordero nuevamente muy bueno. Para platos principales teníamos Tandoori murghi keema, que son trozos de pollo tandoori cocidos con cordero picado y especias de chefs. Mi esposa tenía pollo dhansak cocinado con lentejas y pimienta. Compartimos un poco de arroz hervido y un paratha muy sabroso. Vale la pena visitar este restaurante.

Llevamos muchos años comiendo aquí y comida para llevar. Fui el fin de semana, la comida, como siempre, fue de primera clase. Sin embargo, la mayoría de los camareros no se cubrían la cara o no los usaban correctamente y permitían entrar a personas que no llevaban máscaras. Las mesas parecen demasiado juntas.Toda la experiencia me hizo sentir incómodo, no cenaremos allí en el futuro previsible, una verdadera lástima, ya que sin duda es el mejor restaurante indio que conocemos.

Una deliciosa comida nuevamente esta noche, la comida siempre es deliciosa aquí. Tuve que perderme algunas golosinas esta noche ya que estoy adelgazando, ¡pero el pinchito de pollo fue excelente, lo que ayudó! Excelente configuración con controles de temperatura y desinfectante a la llegada y personal con máscaras. Sin embargo, algunas mesas estaban muy juntas y a medida que avanzaba la noche se retiraron las máscaras. Solo nos puso un poco nerviosos. Aparte de eso, todo estuvo muy bien.

No habíamos estado en Alladins desde antes de Covid. Nos impresionó que nos tomaran la temperatura cuando llegamos y todo el personal llevaba máscaras. . . Sin embargo, después de un gran comienzo, nos decepcionó lo siguiente.Entonces apareció uno de los camareros con la máscara bajada. . . sirvió a clientes así. Le hablé de esto y luego se puso la máscara correctamente.En segundo lugar, el dansak, que es nuestro plato habitual, era pobre. . sin chile ni especias. . bastante insípido. . nuestro otro plato fue por suerte mejor.Finalmente, cuando terminamos, nos sentimos muy apurados, aunque no estaba demasiado ocupado.Así que esta vez no está a la altura de nuestras expectativas.

We decided to call for takeaway as restaurant was only a few minutes walk from where we were staying at nearby Riverside Park. The reviews were very good and the food did not disappoint. Very friendly gentleman had our order ready for us and we managed to stay socially distanced

No exaggeration but the food tasted amazing. Very busy so best to book. Sericewas friendly and efficient. Well worth the 25 min walk out of Stratford. If you like Indian food then this is a must.

Had a very good meal here which catered well for gluten free but very disturbed that the place was rammed and just grateful that our table was in the corner by the open door. Menus were also not disposable. Recommend take-away!

We came here on a Staycation and this restaurant was recommended to us by family. Throughly enjoyed the food, extremely tasty & full of flavour. We were temp tested at entry but all with a smile, all staff were wearing their PPE and even in these weird time, they still managed to laughter and smile with us. 2 fussy eaters couldn't have been any happier, they lived their meals. Recently moved to Stratford and had our first takeaway from Aladdins tonight. Chicken Tikka starter was delicious and the chicken mushroom balti with pilau rice and naan was delicious. Couldn’t fault a thing - just perfect. Please give our compliments to the chef.

Family meal out at this busy, popular Indian restaurant. Managed to get a booking on the day for a table of six, though our party ended up being 5. The restaurant was packed at 7.30pm. The service was a little slow but attentive when focused on us. The choice of food on the menu was excellent and the food top quality. A loyal local contingent were steadily streaming in for their takeaways too.The decor does not appear to have been updated for a number of years, it being that long since we were last here. This being an observation rather than an overt criticism as it was clean and well presented but somehow lacked something of an atmosphere.The quality of the food more than makes up for the somewhat sterile atmosphere. Everyone in the party enjoying their choices and sharing a little.

We visited Aladdins last night for the first time in 12 maybe 13 years as we moved away from the area. We moved back to warwick a couple of years ago and had totally forgotten about our old regular Indian in Teddington .From the moment we walked in we were greeted and looked after in a truly professional manner. We were the first table of the evening and the restaurant was cold for 5 min while it heated up but it is January after all.We had a selection of meals and everyone was top of the shop. Oddly, even the coffee was a superior cuppa and had to have a second.Light years ahead of all the Indian restaurants within 10 miles and feel stupid as I’d forgotten all about it as it was my daughter who booked it for a bite to eat before visiting the RSC,,Well done guys and look forward to seeing you again soon ☘️

Have just been to this indian to celebrate my husband Paul's 60th birthday what a lovely place food was spot on and plenty of it the service was great served by such friendly staff so made the visit so relaxed when they heard it was Paul's birthday even threw in a brandy for him and a baileys for me. We will be driving over here just to have a meal excellent value for money definitely recommend this to family and friends

Aladdins Indian Dinning was the best night of my life the staff were so friendly and even helped me propose to my girlfriend I am forever in their debt and I’m so happy they help me plan what I was going to do. I thank all the the staff and the main man him self who had given me the courage to go through with the proposal.

Enjoyed a tasty takeaway, served by chatty, friendly staff. Would highly recommend if you're staying in the Stratford-upon-Avon area. Large restaurant available for dining in.

Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que comí aquí, probablemente 10 años o más, pero el lugar es tan bueno como siempre. Super servicio, ambiente encantador y excelente comida. Nuestra mesa de 6 disfrutó de una amplia selección de deliciosa comida. No hay quejas o comentarios negativos de nadie. Además de eso, la cerveza está fría y tienen una excelente lista de vinos a precios muy razonables. En general, vale la pena el viaje y volveré allí de nuevo, ¡con suerte antes de que pasen los próximos 10 años! ?

While staying at a local caravan site we decided on an Indian takeaway. We were not dissappointed. It was really lovely. Great variety on the menu. All the usual but also some that were new to us! Very little time elapsed from ordering to when the meal was ready. The meal itself was gorgeous. Everything tasted so fresh and the portions were generous. Highly recommend this restaurant. Next time we will dine in the lovely looking lounge.

I have visited Aladdin’s for a sit down and several take away meals. We recently visited and was literally rushed through every course. This did not make a pleasurable night out, the waiters were hovering over us constantly watching and waiting for us to finish. I understand Fridays are busy? However this experience has left myself and my husband a feeling of not wanting to return! The food this time was not up to the usual standard, very little of it too, to be honest I couldn’t wait in the end to get out of there, so well done mission accomplished? What a shame.

Waited over an hour and a quarter for our food ( a large group next to us had waited even longer!) No real apology at all, they had just forgotten us!

We arrived without a booking to an already busy restaurant, but were met with a friendly smile and taken to a table. The food was so good and we especially loved the way the food was served to us, not just put on hot plates but actually served to the plate. The waiters were so friendly and efficient and the food really was top notch. Highly recommended (oh and the onion salad accompaniment with the popadoms was out of this world). Shame this is 2 hours from home but if we’re thisbway again we’ll be back and definitely recommend to all Riverside visitors.

We live local and usually bring our staff here for our yearly party..Never ever again,we were here on the opening night about 15 years ago and it was fantastic but they have now changed from quality to quantity.Booked a table for myself and my wife for an anniversary meal,we arrived and had to wait,we finally got a table and it was huge for six people,we had to slide the dishes to each other because we couldn't reach.waiterkept coming past and grabbing my chair because he was so unfit and the curry consisted of two onions and four small pieces of chicken...the owner is at the front counting his takings Infront of the twenty people waiting for takeaways.Much better places now in Stratford on Avon,a Mike up the road.

We came to srafford upon Avon to visit Barbara and Derek who highly recommended this restaurant. Said it was delicious food with amazing service. They were spot on unbeivable MMM superb. Toni served us very nice and knowledgeable and recommended the perfect curry hot n spicy just like Toni ❤. Cant waite to revisit. Actually would like to thank them for a superb night great service and fantastic waiters. Most of all the food was fresh with mouth watering flavours. See you again on our next trip. Kathryn Chris

This place was excellent and now it’s not ! It’s not bad but it seems to have slipped. Our food took an age to arrive which in itself isn’t a huge problems but the three tables next to us all ordered after and got their food before us. The nan bread had a charcoal rim (over cooked) and the chicken had an overly firm rubbery texture. The waiters were friendly enough and the place was very clean. No loo rolls in the ladies though. In fairness this isn’t bad at all but it’s now no better than the cheaper local opposition just down the road.

We stopped here as it was just down the road from our hotel. We had a great meal for the two of us trying the pasanda and another dish we had not had before. The food was lovely and fresh. Definitely Recommend for a nice meal out.

Had many take away meals from the restaurant and we decided to try it out eating in. Booked early and was nice and quiet, but soon became very busy. The staff were friendly and welcoming, with a relaxed atmosphere. The food was served quickly and was lovely. The flavour was different to typical flavours, and the spices were milder but the food was still very tasty. The price is reasonable and we would definitely go for a meal here again.

My husband and I, as well as our children visited Aladdins during our weekend away. Read the reviews here and they could not be more accurate. The most memorable thing was the welcoming and kind staff - they were fabulous and could not do enough for us. The food was amazing. Portions were fresh, large and utterly delicious in every way. You just have to go !

I know that I have visited Aladdin’s on many occasions but as I write a number of reviews, I must include this absolutely exceptional Indian restaurant. Again I say in all my travels and all the places I have eaten, Aladdin’s is unquestionably the best. The whole experience compares to a top class fine dining eatery with fresh food, friendly and extremely professional staff, a welcoming atmosphere and warm and inviting ambience. Yet the prices surprise for the quality of the food so this has got to the the U.K.s most hidden gem.

Our family has been coming to Aladdins for over 14 years now.. so it's long overdue a review! We live 10 miles away but it doesn't stop us from picking up a family take out. The food is great and always has been!
