Me and my partner have been welcomed in the best of ways from the Head waitress Sara, and had a wonderful meal prepared by Chef Emiliano and his great team! True taste of Italy.

A lovely dinner at Al Mare. A relaxed vibe with great service and the food was delicious! We started with the breads and pasta before the main event - the salt baked sea bass. Just lovely. Would recommend and return. The mocktails were really good also, I had one of their Wimbledon specials while my husband enjoyed some fine wine.

The service was really outstanding, and the food was really great. One particular waitress was absolutely amazing. Her name was NOURAH.

We came here for my sons bday lunch and we couldn’t imagine better place for it! The staff was amazing and spoiled him from the moment we walked in! The food was absolutely delicious and head chef Emiliano came himself to say hello and wish happy birthday to my boy! Abhay and Sara were fabulous during entire lunch! My son is literally in love with Sara, she made his stay here fantastic! Jack at the bar is superstar, and the taught my son how to make a cocktail! He really had the best birthday ever!! Thank you so much for the amazing experience! You guys rock!

The restaurant is amazing. Sara, the manager is brilliant. She is a pro at accommodating to all types of requests and our bolognese pasta was to die for. I would recommend to anybody looking for a good Italian in the heart of Knightsbridge.

My sister and I had an amazing experience at Al Mare for a belated birthday celebration and the whole team were very lovely to us, we felt at home but luxury style! A big thank you to Sara who made sure everything was perfect for us!

The starters was Insalata do Granchio Reale was mouth watering. The Linguine alla Nerano was at perfect temperature, gave that silky after feeling over the tongue. Seasoned to the perfect flavour. It allows you to have a guessing game with what the chef used. A big thank you to Adriano who looked after me.

Went to Al Mare with my girlfriends for dinner and we had the most amazing time ! From start to finish the evening was great! Relaxing ambience, a very warm welcome from the staff and a new menu we were looking forward to try! We started with an apperitivo at the bar and then we moved to the restaurant for our dinner! The menu was so interesting that I couldn’t decide what to choose ! We got Tartare di Tonno, Capesante and Fritto di Pesce for starters and they were all absolutely delicious! For main, I went for the Branzino but couldn’t resist from tasting the Linguine alla Nerano and the Tagliolini that my friends got! All the dishes were simply divine! All of the above were combined nicely with a wine that the team recommended us ! And of course there is always space for dessert so we picked the Tiramisù and the Cioccolato e Frutto della Passione! A big thanks to the team for looking after us and congratulations to all of you for the menu, the customer service and the good vibes ! We will definitely come back! IB

Visited Al Mare with friends and I had the most amazing evening! Location is excellent, service outstanding and food just delicious!!! All pasta dishes were phenomenal and starters and desserts too! Definitely will visit again to try the scallops with artichokes, linguine alla nerano, taglioni al limone and tiramisu ( one of the most interesting dishes especially in terms of texture) We have visited Jumeirah in the past and the team gave us a very warm welcome back , the NEW MENU is just phenomenal!!!!!!! I had dinner with my besties at Al Mare and I could not compliment this place enough. From the moment we stepped in the restaurant the stuff welcomed us, and customer service was exceptional. They gave us great recommendations for wine, explained the menu and went out of the way to make us feel comfortable. Ambience was superb, not loud, nice decor and a good balance atmosphere overall ! We had different antipasti to start but my favourite was Tartare ti Tonno. For mains, I had Linguine alla Nerano, the Chef’s specialty, and it was just delicious. One of my friends had Taglioni alla limone which was also great. From the desserts we tried the Tiramisu, very light and tasty too. Overall, the stuff took very good care of us and we enjoyed our dinner. The amount of the dishes was perfect and we would definitely come back again. Congratulations to the chef and the overall team ! Top class service !

Piece of art. Attracted by Italian cuisine, we decided to visit Al Mare, overall an honourable experience. We were there for lunch, lucky enough to be allocated close to the window, top spot! Service was professional and not intrusive, waiters touched our table were all confident and attentive. We had few starters to share, quality of the meat for tartare is outstanding, the Fritto misto was crispy at perfection. We tried the signature dish, Tagliolini al limone e Gamberi and black cod, both elegant and delicate, exquisite. Finally highlight of my meal was Semifreddo alla liquirizia, can I have another one? Again and again! Any romantic lunch, fantastic spot!

I was a guest for dinner recently, a table of four in total. The food was very good indeed but the service was decidedly erratic. This was largely caused by the attention given to a couple of very large tables that seemed to be made up of a mixture of hotel guests and their evident staff, nannies etc. In addition quite a number of diners were constantly up and down going outside to smoke so we were constantly being blasted by cold air and the stink of cigarette smoke. When leaving the outside area of the hotel was dominated by several groups of smokers standing under cover by the front doors, stinky and horrible and not becoming of an allegedly 5 Star hotel.

The problem with Al Mare is the food menu and perhaps a little the service which could improve. The food is a modern twist of Italian food which is obviously not very popular as Al mare is almost never over 50% capacity, including on Friday and Saturday night. In comparaison other italian restaurants in Knightsbridge are full. The menu is not very appealing to many, they should switch to a more traditional Italian menu and increase their portion size which is ridiculous. Then add some music or someone playing piano etc to make it more lively etc… The place is new and nice but there is no buzz and the only people there are the ones that did not find a table anywhere else.
