Al Mandi in Newcastle upon Tyne

I swear to God, it's been the best restaurant in Britain since I came to Britain.

Food was okay and slidley priced but staff was amazing

I find it to be the best Arabic restaurant in Newcastle and I recommend trying it. You will not regret it and you will visit again. Excellent treatment, cleanliness and cooking.

Delivery- nice quality ingredients, food well cooked. Delivery has been late by at least 20 minutes on last couple of occassions but we expect this now.

The best thing about this restaurant was the atmosphere inside beautiful fountain in the middle with colourful architecture . The food takes 20 minutes to arrive , their kunafa is really good and a little bit unique aswell as it has mozzarella cheese in it, the rice gets cold really quickly but the meat was good but nothing spectacular , the service although is a little bit slow as there was only 1 guy working for 4-5 tables

Food was nice . But took 2 hours for food delivery.they hung up the phone when I rang to ask about delivery . Ordered food yesterday 8:42pm got delivery at 10:40

Found a hair on my Food ,no one came and apologised for that instead they were focusing on the payment they think we are not gonna making 🤔😔No I wouldn't want to go again

Chicken mandi was good... Mutton was not that much good expected.

We had chicken shwarma biryani, lamb mandi and kunafa. The main dish was so-so, wasn’t spectacular, but my God, the kunafa was brilliant. The cheese, honey, the pastry and ice cream are well-blended and well-balanced. It’s a must-have.

It was busy but not packed. Food ok, but the service was terrible. We had to ask for things constantly. Very slow to take order, bring cutlery, chased our drinks, asked twice for the bill. Very poor.

I love it! Food so delicious, very oriental with very good portions and the people are lovely. The atmosphere specifically is so cosy and always their music reminds me with my home country. A perfect full package ❤️ I will forever recommend it!

The Chicken Mandi that we had was amazing and delicious. Me and my friends enjoyed it very much.

The food was delicious the mandi lamb was phenomenal, the lamb was done beautifully, tinder from inside , but the rice has a lot of cumin seeds, if i can change a thing it will be using the powder cumin. I tried the lentil soup, it wasn’t up to me, watery, wasn’t seasoned well.

Amazing restaurant great location and easy to locate. Went with my family and it felt like home. Nice Lebanese atmosphere with beautiful background music that my children and I kept dancing to. The food was mouth watering. We ordered the lamb Mandi, grilled lamb chops with rice and also lamb shawarma , the Mandi was so soft it was falling of the bone and melting in my mouth 🩷 I defnitely wish I could eat ther food the whole stay here but I just didn't want to look greedy lol, overall great location and great food, thank you to our waiter, she did he rbest to make us feel accommodated .

Standard Lebanese grill. Went for the Super Al Mandi Mixed Grill. Felt expensive at £29.99. The shwarma was dry.

The food was very hood. Delicious Tageen. Lentil soup was wonderful. Grilled lamb with chips and salad was tasty and delicious. Konafa was wonderful. Service nice and staff friendly

Extremely bad taste food we used to order from them the food used to be good but ordered after a few months, mandi was horrible could smell the meat, kunafa had the cheese we use for pizzas , hummous with chicken and Lebanese bread was very bad in taste will not order again

الاكل لذيذ جداً ، النظافة ممتازة انصح فيه كل من يأتي ل نيوكاسل ، نقصت نجمة عشان الخدمة كانت من بنت ع بية تعمل نادله كانت معاملتها جداً سيئة ترمي الصحون رمي في وجهك والمناديل والملاعق تحطها على طرف الطارلة بدون نفس كأني جاية اشحذ منها للاسف وكانت سناعة الاغاني فوق طاولتنا طلبت منها تخفض الصوت لانه مزعج جداً ورفضت، كرهت الجلسة عندهم بسببها اخذت الكنافة وطلعت احلي عليها بالفندق

We went for our evening meal and order a varity of dishes. The lamb mandi and kebabs were especially nice and we topped it off with some kunafa and mint tea.

Great take away/restaurant however one of the staff was hard to understand and didn't speak English very well. We got there though :)

Amazing Middle eastern food. The kebab, rice & hummus was delicious. Their tabouleh was fresh and tasted great. Staff were friendly too, definitely recommend visiting.

Dropped in for a bite to eat before a gig at the globe and what a wonderful find. Quality of food was amazing and service was fantastic the two of us ate like kings for less than £30 we will be back.

I tried Alsalam Almandi for the first time and i found its food very delicious. It was quick service, Fresh and well presented, variety of food, specially i loved kunafa dessert. Ss well as its cheap to pay. Staff was very nice and polite. I had very good experience today. I recommend to all.

What a delicious meal! We tried the chicken Mandi which was cooked to perfection! The chicken was tender, very flavourful and melted in our mouths. The lamb sambosa reminded us of the Indian samosas and made us feel nostalgic! We ended our meal with lots of dessert - the baklava and konafa are a perfect pairing with a cup of tea. Boshra at the restaurant helped us with these above recommendations for which we are very grateful. She served us well and made us feel very welcome! Would definitely recommend the restaurant for anyone looking for a good middle eastern meal.

Inexpensive and authentic. Don't be put off by the location also note no alcohol license but very good soft drinks.

Delicious traditional Syrian / Turkish and labenese cuisine!! Great taste and amazing ambience! Quality service by friendly staff!! Ample parking space out of hours!! Reasonably charged with dessert options and complementary served traditional Arabic tea!! Overall a good option for Arabic cuisine!!

Highly recommended! My husband and I were looking for an authentic arabic resto nearby and he found this out! We both really enjoyed our food. Staff are so approachable, friendly and defo assisted us with 5* service! Having to live in United Arab Emirates for 4 years, this resto is the best there is in the city! Food are reasonably priced. I ordered Chicken Mandi and it felt like I was taken back to the restos in UAE when I have tasted it. Would come back again with friends and family!

The food was great.But it was a terrible dine in experience. While we were waiting for the food a guy which we came to know later as the owner or something of the shop was sitting in an inappropriate position in the next to next table and was playing loud tiktok videos on his phone, which was very disrespectful. The waitress who served us food behaved very well. I would never suggest this place for a dine in even though the food is decent. NEVER!

Me and my family have been coming here for 5 years, and everything is amazing! The food is great and the portions are massive (as well as well priced), and everything is always clean and tidy.
