Best Lasagne, spicy Lasagne is too good

Quick service food was lovely the staff are very hospitable...

Wanted to like this place, but it had no redeeming qualities other than the waiters, which were helpful. This place is soo run down and bare bones they don't even have a floor, it's like walking into someone's garage, and they use a Bluetooth speaker sat on the floor for music. At the time, I had looked past these flaws and thought if the food is nice then that's all that matters, we ordered the sirloin steak cooked medium rare, it literally arrived half medium and other half rare, with no flavour at all, this also went for the side of chips, no flavour at all. How do you get chips wrong? I am usually not a picky person when it comes to eating, but this was too bad even for me that we ended up with stomach cramps after.

The waiters are kind and enthusiastic, inviting photos and showing off generously. They are really cute, and the meals are delicious and fragrant.

This is a must try for Sunday Lunch. We get the Take Out option, great value priced at £10.95. You get loads too, its fresh, hot and delicious. The Yorkshire puds are huge and crisp, light and fluffy. The gravy is so tasty, fab, ask for extra if you like loads. I reccomend Achellos to everyone..you will not be disappointed. The sausage is mine but the rest from Achellos.

Been here lots of times with my family for pizzas and pastas etc. The food is amazing! The staff are friendly and the service is very quick! There’s always lots to choose from on the menu I would 100% recommend coming here if you want pizzas or pasta because this place is absolutely amazing!

Have to say it's the first time the wife and I have been here for Sunday lunch but sister in law informed us that it was worth a try and so we did. Have to say this is one of the best Sunday dinners I have ever had..and I've had a few. From the toasties to the perfect mash tattie to the turnip or mashed swede I'm never sure with these,but it was perfect and lovely sized portions as well. Oh and I'm not 100% but I do believe they make their own mint sauce as it truly reminded me of the fresh my mother used to make ..and again this was lovely. Definitely will return it gets a 10 from len...thank you

Have to leave a review after seeing the bad review below, the food here is unbelievably well priced and the food is great for that price it’s better than they charge. I go with kids and the my enjoy it staff are great with both adults and kids. Bad reviews wanna go to Ponteland and enjoy the extra 70% tax for same food and worse service. Stay local.

It's okay, food is okay. Pasta is the best choice imo, tried other dishes here and they're not that good. Service and staff are good and timely.

The worst restaurant I have ever been to - staff make you feel so unimportant and uncomfortable! The food is horrible and cold. I ordered pasta it tasted like the basic frozen pasta from asda!! DO NOT GO HERE - my day was ruined by this experience the worse customer service ever!! It took 1 hour and 30 minutes for our food - this is beyond a joke and when we asked where our food was no one was interested they couldn’t care less! They didnt even bother to apologise!! Hours of my life wasted waiting for these idiots to serve me cold food! Nobody bothered to ask us if our food was ok or if we needed anything! All of the staff are rude, they dont even bother to take your order I asked 3 people before they would take my order. They just walk past you and pretend they can’t see you! Its a complete joke I was so angry when I left this horrible restaurant! The manager lady was very extremely rude and rolling her eyes at me! Don’t recommend anyone to to here its a complete joke!

Great food, reasonable prices. You can tell that the owner has put dedicated effort in delivering a tasty menu with high quality ingredients.

We always go for the lunchtime special 3 course B4 5 pm.£9.95 . The website and Facebook have not been updated .Was 4 pm. We have pizza & pasta 50/50 and you take your own alcohol. Which is a good saving. The food and service are spot on. Friendly staff. Overall value for money. We will be back. Recommended. (

Joined with a party to celebrate a wedding meal at 6.00 pm. Booked a few weeks before. Charged 50 pound deposit.Would not take our order till an hour later. When asked we were told other people were to be served first as they were observing a fast. Our starters came after 7.pm. Food was lovely. Our mains were not served until 8. Pm service was terrible. There was a misunderstanding over a can of coke and they were going to charge 10% on bill because of it. The couple that were married had a cake to cut to celebrate but they took the cake and we all left. Never been made to feel so unwanted in a restaurant. The night was ruined because of jobworth staff. Will never go again.

My brother had booked a table for 6pm all of the guests were there for that time and we were told that we had to wait to order as there was people who could order before us as they were “fasting” regardless of the matter we have a table booked for a certain time and had to wait over 35 mins to order our starters. An hour had then gone past before we received those starters, eventually after 1 hour and 45 mins we then got our mains. At no point did anyone apologise for the wait. We had brung multiple different drinks and bought drinks as well at no point were we approached by a member of staff and told we could not bring in soft drinks so the manager decided that 10% was going to be added to our bill which was well over £290 ! After reasoning with the management we paid for 2 extra soft drinks. This is our first and last time at Achellos, my brother did not even get to enjoy cutting his wedding cake as this is what the meal was booked for. Deeply disappointing outcome to what should’ve been a lovely night!

Food was lovely! Staff very rude and cheeky, I was there for my table booked at 6pm… after 30 mins told I had to wait a further 10/15 mins as people had come in that were fasting and they had to order first. Your allowed to bring your drinks into this restaurant.. my sister had a bottle of coke and opened this with 2 small glasses drank which we were then told we were getting charged a further 10% on the bill… absolutely disgusting considering the bill was just short of £300!!!! I used to come here a lot and after tonight I will not be back.!!! Shame as most of the food was delicious!

me and my 2 friends came for some food they ordered pizzas and they enjoyed theres i ordered penne bolognaise and u got a side off chips with the meal the pasta was cold and hard the chips were stale nearly snapped the composite off my tooth.customer service was absolutely awful the staff are rude especially the manager. i am never the one to complain but this was disgusting! Didnt even offer any discount once i complained and they didnt even apologise on there behalf! The manager was very rude turning her back on me when im telling her my food was cold and rolling her eyes at me! ( arent restaurants supposed to ask if there food is okay not ignore me when im telling them its cold)

I’ve just been for food today with my friends 2 of us ordered pizza and other ordered penne bolognaise with side order of chips.She has been having a bad few days so we decided to take her out for food to take her mind off things.Her bolognaise was cold and chips were stale so she did not eat it .We complained and the staff were really rude about it,they did not offer any discount on her food that she did not eat and the manager was rude she turned her back to me and started walking away as i was trying to speak.I will not be coming back to this restaurant and do not recommend going

Another return visit – their potato skins alone are worth the trip. I had the pesto pasta – choice of spaghetti, tagliatelle or penne. Absolutely delicious. Staff are incredibly friendly and we were welcomed back as regulars! See you again

Not proper Italian food..they use cream in their carbonara!! Pasta dishes were tasteless. Most miscle dishes cone with a lot of closed muscles. Asked for changes to the pasta, eg no parsley and extra chilli, this didn't happen. Tried the chilli oil, there was no spice whatsoever. Cheesy garlic bread was OK. Every time you go as a large group. They add stuff on and pop that extra money in a pot to give themselves a little extra. We realised this time and WILL NOT be back. Absolute disgrace. Trying to add FIFTY POUNDS and said there was over EIGHTY POUNDS worth of mistakes on the bill. I didn't want to go back because of the food in the first place but ripping people off like that. Absolute joke of a place. Rude staff and filthy toilets. AVOID!!!!

Amazing meal as always! The service and food is always great at Archellos, as well as being fantastic value for money. We ate the lunchtime special today, it was the best meal out we’ve had in months and I think it was about half the price we’ve paid everywhere else. This is a hidden gem and I can’t recommend it enough.

Great as always Been going to Achellos for over 8 years now and it has never failed to impress. Food is always really tasty and service always friendly.

They have a lot off deals on witch is really good that's why I go and the prices a good the food was really nice but I think the Yorkshire pudding has changed its not the same the service was really good becuse I like the Sunday dinner so much a forgot they are Italians so next time gonna try the Italian food the prices are really good as well

First time here. My girlfriend recommended this place and I was not disappointed. Absolutely brilliant food and highly recommended 👌 no joke. Food is amazing. Gini was amazing with the service.

Another delicious meal – second visit in a month. Their potato skins are fab and I had the vegetarian pizza last night which was cooked to perfection. Look forward to a return visit.

Food is okay. I've been here 4 or 5 times. Had pizza and lasagne on separate occasions on these visits the same problem has arisen ..... far too much cheese. More cheese than pasta more cheese than pizza base. Place has a decent atmosphere staff are friendly enough.

Had my sons 8th Birthday party here yesterday. There was 25 kids plus adults, they happily accommodated us nothing was a problem. The food was absolutely delicious everyone enjoyed it. Thankyou so much! 😊

Love how laid back this restaurant is with a good range on lunch time menu and the option to take your own alcohol. The food is fine, although this time my Kiev pizza a little bland. Friendly staff but not keen on decor.

Disappointed with our first visit garlic mushrooms came with a token cremated French fry staff thought that was funny? Pizza arrived dry tasteless chicken hubby had pasta again with dry chicken no comments for the food we left such a shame we won’t be back needs a great deal of improvement.

Another lovely visit to Achellos – the potato skins were as good as last time and the ricotta and spinach cannelloni was delicious – I had the smaller portion but it completely filled me up. Staff were delightful – we will be back!

Loved this restaurant so friendly food was fantastic service great we took our own alcohol as no licence but they provided ice bucket for wine and glasses without charge put up decorations as it was a birthday and presented our birthday cake singing happy birthday without any charges at all .They have specials on Monday to Thursday fantastic value 👍

Ordered a chicken carbonara never been so dissatisfied was watery as out and had no flavour at all even had to dip me pasta in me garlic to get abit of flavour

We had a table booked for 18:00. We sat for about20 minutes before we had a drinks order taken then about a further 20 minutes for our food order. Finally our food order was taken and didn't wait too long for our appetisers to arrive....

Went with a group of friends and our children. The staff were miserable, cheeky and rude at one point. I was planning on coming again for my daughters birthday. Not anymore food was average at best. There was no need for this kind of service...

Lovely friendly efficient staff. The food is delicious and comes to you promptly and hot. The kitchen is overlooking the seated area so that you can see its very clean. The chefs always busy and very talented. There is plenty specials on the menu which is very varied so something for everyone. Sunday lunch is very popular everything is fresh with proper home cooked yorkies 😋 the whole menu is very reasonably priced. I'm lucky it's on my doorstep and if you've not been to Achellos then your missing out on this hidden gem.

Excellent authentic Italian pizza and wonderful service from the friendly staff. We went at a lunchtime and everything was quick and delicious. Will definitely be returning in future for a bigger meal or with the family.

I ordered from this place for the first time. We don't like cakey pizzas and have been in search of stonebaked halal pizza place for such a long time.I was so looking forward to trying their pizzas which arrived a little late but freshly stonebaked can take time.Accepted! Unfortunately, they were so cold and there was no sauce included with pizzas. I was a bit disappointed but wouldn't stop ordering. I'd preferably collect my food in future.

Oh my days the food is shocking no wonder it's empty all the time. I've had better micro meals and not sure how they dare market the place as an Italian restraunt still in shock what planet are yous on absolutely laughable.

Just had Pollo picante delivery. It came with chips as there was no choice in delivery for veg. The chicken is so hard can't be eaten, the chips seemed like they had stood for ages and not very nice. It was delivered in time but...

Tasted pretty cheap. Bruschetta for starter… cheap thin slice of crusty bread and balsamic with no flavour. Mains… chef does not know how to cook steak, rare is actually blue, medium is rare etc. Better off going to an actual steak house. My own meal...

I have been to achellos many times to dine in and never found fault with it. Staff are always so welcoming, seated quick. Food portions are great always hot and tasty. You can even have leftovers boxed to go. The atmosphere is really nice with a good ambience. After being poorly all week i tried their take away service which is also amazing. A current bogof offer made the prices for the items we ordered even more of a bargain. Arrived within 5 minutes of being notified driver had left. Piping hot and delicious. A lovely meal after being poorly. Can't recommend enough a great restaurant with great prices.

Food was excellent and dessert fantastic. Just gutted there wasn't any mocktails :(. Overall staff were very polite and friendly. Food was 10/10, atmosphere 10/10. Just wanted to add, everything is halal here, we are lucky to have this place.

We've just had the most delicious sticky toffee pudding the best we have had anywhere and will definitely be getting these again 100% the sponge was light and the sauce was beautiful
