Al Kareem in Newham

Conduje todo el camino desde Harrow a Romford para comprar halwa, puri y chana para mi familia después de leer toda la publicidad en línea. Mi opinión honesta es que los tamaños de las porciones estaban bien, los precios estaban bien, pero la calidad de la comida estaba muy por debajo del nivel de lo esperado. El halwa tenía al menos 5 veces más la cantidad de azúcar que debería haber tenido, tengo un diente dulce y todavía era demasiado dulce para mí. El chana estaba por debajo de la media al igual que el plato de verduras. El lugar estaba muy ocupado, así que deben estar haciendo algo bien, pero en lo que a mí respecta no vale la pena el viaje en el tiempo o el dinero. No voy a volver.

El auténtico halwa puri de estilo pakistaní era excepcionalmente sabroso. El curry channa y aloo también eran muy agradables, y el lassi era cremoso y delicioso. Realmente disfrutamos, y a toda la familia le encantó!

I like their breakfast. It is very tasty, especially the Halwa and the paratha bread. I wish if they add more options to it and to have a less spicy option. Their samosa is so big and tasty. Prices are convenient.

Me sentí un poco fuera de lugar ya que la mayoría de los clientes eran del sur de Asia, pero me recibieron con una sonrisa. El lugar ya estaba ocupado a las 9 de la mañana, lo cual es una buena señal. Brekky encantador y té. altamente recomendado.

Came here after reading other reviews on tripadvisor. Aside from the person who said he was overcharged twice, everyone else had positive things to say. Travelled here for the first today and it was a 30 mile round trip but definitely worth it. Got here at 7.50am, shops shutters were still down but a queue had already formed outside for a 8am opening and this on a Sunday. Already knew food would be good. Bought 2 portions of Channa Puri & Halwa and one Kashmiri chai. Chai was very authentic and flavoursome. When I got home and ate the Channa Puri, I must say, I could have been sitting in a Karachi restaurant it tasted that good that it took me back to my homeland. Will definitely be coming back here next month and buying some items from the bakery side too.

Very Nice, clean and fresh halwa puri breakfast and their Kashmiri tea was the cherry on the top! Would definitely recommend.

Qué puedo decir. . . . simplemente lo mejor.El mejor desayuno halwa poori y mithai en Inglaterra y confía en mí, lo he intentado mucho.Relación calidad-precio, ingredientes frescos y de primera calidad. Excelente servicio al cliente.No hay nada mejor que los dulces y panaderos de Al Kareem.Si estás en la zona, inténtalo.

The guy who serves you is very rude. They always overcharge, been there twice and been overcharged both times. By £5 and £6. Crooks at another level. The food is however the best you can get. Very cheap.

what can i say about this place , if you are looking for a delicious asian breakfast which is halwa poori dal this is the place , we went in a group 0f 8 and not sure how much we ate , suji ka halwa so so tasty that reminded me of home, its a tiny place so u need to go early over weekend and may have to wait, but after u had ur halwa puri , it will be worth it

Been here several times They do the best Halwa poori in town , especially the halwa, And lassi is the amazing, highly recommended, but very busy

The Black Forest & cherry flavour cake I got for my birthday event it was amazing , they made exactly the way I wanted. I would always recommend them for their tasty sweets and delicious breakfast which Halwa poori.

Came to Al Kareems for breakfast. Very delicious food but very busy shop. Definitely will be back with friends and family. Quick service and freshly cooked food. Will definitely recommend. They also do takeaways.

Amazing place for Halwa Puri which is served until 3pm on weekend. The halwa puri is authentic and this place is worth a visit.

I went there with the recommendation of my friends to eat traditional Bun Kebab. Let me tell you it was original taste of Karachi Bun Kebab. Friendly staff.

We visited this sweet and bakery shop on our journey to London from Chelmsford. It is located on Romford road, for those coming by train, its walking distance from Manor Park station. We chose this place as it showed at TripAdvisor as Halwi Puri breakfast recommendation in the area. They serve this special breakfast on weekends only, for us luckily it was a Saturday. Halwa was good tasting, not too sweet but the real stars were Puris, usually done over oily at most places, the Puris at Kareem Sweets were crispy and perfectly light. They also served potato curry and chickpeas with the Puris and they tasted alright. We had a jug of Lassi with the breakfast and later tried the pink Kashmiri tea which was very good too. Service was passable. We took some sweets and sweet milk for home and it tasted really nice.I suggest this place for their perfect and reasonably priced weekend Halwa Puri if you are in the area and for their Pakistani sweets.

Miré las reseñas en pocos lugares, ya que no vivo en Londres y este lugar se destacó. ¿Qué puedo decir yum? El mejor Halwa Puri que he tenido es como volver a casa, ¡vale la pena una hora en coche! En la porción del set de cholay, aalu, 4 puris y achar. Halwa es muy sabrosa, si aún puedes comer más después de todo, te recomendaría Lassi y el kashmiri chai para llevar contigo. Me gustó tanto que ya he estado allí dos veces recomendaría!

Tasty breakfast option for traditional food lovers. Lassi, Halwal puri, Channa and achaar all test great. A bit costly but worth spending that money.

Halwa Puri the way it’s suppose to be. £5 gets you a decent portion of cholay, aalu, 4 puris and achar. If you like you can top it off with either a Lassi or kashmiri chai!!

I have been going to Al Kareem bakers and sweets on/off for the last 4 yrs and never have I been disappointed. The halwa puri is clean, and freshly cooked. The service is spot on and helpful and fast. The lassi and kashmiri tea post is also something that must be tried. They also serve pathoora's which I had never had before and have since become my favourite morning breakfast dish on the weekends. All the people I have taken here have been impressed with the good quality of the food. highly reccommended.

Stumbled on to this as I was in the area for my weekend walks around london. Half an hour wait for takeaway on a Sunday morning. Well worth it.

Aburrido en un fin de semana con tiempo para matar estuve dando vueltas por Romford Road y vi una muchedumbre de gente de fuera de este lugar. Nada de lo que pensé, pero luego volvió 10 minutos más tarde la multitud había crecido. Este hijo no es mi interés y quise averiguar qué pasaba en una tienda de dulces que haya tanta gente.

Su principal atractivo es el tradicional "fin" (desayuno Lahori Nashta) constan de puri, halwa, Chaney y Cachemira chai. Normalmente ir a Al Qasr en la calle ley Ilford pero porque había oído palabra de boca lo bueno que este lugar fue que decidí probarlo. Después de 50 minutos de espera me dieron una mesa (teniendo en cuenta que solo tienen 3 mesas).

Visité Al Kareems con un amigo el sábado por la mañana. Me habían advertido que teníamos que ir allí para las 9.30 de lo contrario nos lo tienes que hacer cola.

Tenía muy buena nashta, muy buenas raciones de Halwa, Chanay, Puri, Bhaturay y Aaloo Ki Bhujia por 4 libras.

Se trata de un 'comer y llevar' (v básico) restaurante sirve Pakistaní dulces (meethai) y desayuno (halwa, Puri, cahnna, Kashmiri té). He tenido jaleebis fresca, pakora y samosas unas cuantas veces, eran bastante agradable. No me he cansado el meethai estándar aquí.
