A friend and I had our “Special” birthday celebratory lunch with friends at Al Fresco. We all had a delicious lunch and staff were were friendly. Plus a great help in the planning stage. Thank you.

A lovely meal late Sunday afternoon and without needing to book beforehand. Friendly staff, good, quick service and delicious food. We’re so glad we called in and hope to be back again

What a pleasure it is to be welcomed with a smile that seems sincere, a joke while perusing menu. Off to a good start. Menu choices selected and delivered in reasonable time and most enjoyable.

My daughter took me for lunch as a birthday treat 10th April the whole experience was most enjoyable - good food at reasonable prices great service pleasant surroundings we will go back again for sure.

Very beautiful reataurant,food great but the manager very unprofessional and rude.i would recomand him a costumer service course and some good manners.

Fab food, starter of Trio of Crostini was delicious. Mains of Seafood Pasta, Lasagne & Side Salad, scrummy! Dessert was devine, Coconut Brûlée with Mango Sorbet amazing, topped off with a bottle of Pinot Grigio….. perfect night, great service, thanks Ovi & Geni. We will be back ! This is a fabulous trattoria in the heart of Westbury on Trym, you won’t be disappointed👍

We weren’t meant to be in Bristol at all but unfortunately ended up at the emergency dentist with our 10yo son and had our other three young children waiting I n the car whilst our eldest had his broken teeth fixed (a swimming pool fall 😞). We were fitted in for dinner late on a rainy Saturday just before New Year and were served some delicious pasta and pizza by the really friendly and smiley staff. The children loved their food and so did I. Thank you!

We absolutely love this place. They always manage to squeeze us in even if they are busy, the staff really are helpful, friendly and professional. Beautiful decor and friendly staff. The bolognaise is delicious and my partner loves their pizza. We are both addicted to their mozzarella garlic bread. true,authentic Italian food. Can’t recommend enough.

Very nice food and huge portions. Pleasant decor and good service. 4 of us visited on a Tuesday evening not expecting it to be busy but found it almost full so we were glad we had made a reservation. Enjoyed an excellent Trebbiano with our meals. Only had room for starter and main course as the portion sizes are very big so be aware. Only negative was parking as the car park seems rather small for the size of restaurant but arriving at 7:15 we were lucky enough to get the last space. Will definitely be back and an ideal spot for a special occasion meal or large groups as well as couples etc

Can I just say what a wonderful experience I had today, came here for a birthday lunch with my friend and we had Ovi look after us, ( I’m so sorry I don’t know how to spell your name properly 🙈 ) not realising they close at 3pm and we were still there at 3.15, he was so kind and said he would stay until 3.45 so we can finish our lunch and drinks without rushing us, we were made to feel so special and the food and drinks were amazing! He even got me fresh mint from the little herb garden for my mojito outside, finished off with complimentary shots, Thank you so much we had the best time thanks to you and loved the whole atmosphere, we will be back! Another great meal at Al Fresco. Spur of the moment decision and well worth it. Really good service from the wait staff, we all loved the food, and to be frank, went to San Carlos a few weeks ago, the meal there was nowhere near as good as this, and this was half the price. looking forward to coming back again.

Terrible lunch experience. I ordered foccacia and was presented with a pizza base toasted, with chopped tomatoes and grated Mozerella on top. The lippy waiter robbed me off in a brusque manner telling me that it was their bruchetta style of Foccacia .. absolute nonsense! My friend ordered calamaro which was the worst calamari ever I fact I could have used it to tie my hair back it was so rubbery. Waiter was rude to us saying that we had eaten half of it so why were we complaining. We left and he was still being confrontational as my friend paid for our drinks.

One again a lovely evening at Al Fresco. This place delivers every time, with simple authentic Italian cuisine always cooked immaculately. Staff are always attentive and so friendly. We’re really lucky to have this little piece of Italy in our corner of Westbury on Trym.

We visited on a quiet Monday night at the end of April, to celebrate a friend's birthday. The menu is extensive, and the food was excellent. The waiting staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. We requested suggestions for both food and drinks, and they were pleased to assist us. We will definitely visit this restaurant again.

Staff were good humoured and entertaining - much appreciated by my elderly mother who they took care to seat away from doors, drafts and busier tables. Food was superb and piping hot. The place just had a great atmosphere and we will definitely visit again.

We have been here a few times and it has always been great. This time was also good. The service was very good and they are very attentive. Food is also good but previously was better. I can only think it is the recent increase in costs, the size of the steak has gone down ( still very tasty ) but cost has gone up. generally the portions have gone down. Not a criticism as everything has gone up everywhere. The squid was the only one which just didnt have any flavor. But all the rest of the food was very good.overall a very good evening. And we will still continue to go back.

.. We had an excellent lunch here - our first visit under the Al Fresco banner. The staff and ambiance were excellent and the front extension a fabulous idea that should allow many more patrons to dine. A couple of niggles… Ignore the website that quotes special prices for a lunchtime menu - there isn’t one, nor has there been one for quite some time. There is just the one menu that is quite extensive with reasonably priced (middle £ range) dishes. Chef - please no need for salt in Pate - Lambs Liver/Butter/Fresh Pepper/Marsala is all that’s needed. Absolutely no need whatsoever for salt. (I love salt by the way - my Father was a sailor!! But too much here). However, salt apart, it’s a lovely pate that could sell itself as a Parfait and sound posher!! Also try and not to over cook the breads and calzone - you can’t turn your back on them ! Drinks were lovely and as already said the staff and ambiance were delightful. We’ll be returning again soon. ..
