Al Dente in Liverpool

Thee Lucifer Sams are a hungry band and we take our epicurean adventures seriously. When a rehearsal gets cancelled for whatever reasons, we need to substitute that with food and drink. Though Al Dente has a pleasant vibe and friendly staff, our choice of food was very disappointing - a veggie pizza that looked no better than a Ristorante one you find in freezers all over the land - from the most drab cornershop to the biggest Tesco. We were hungry. We ate it. But a restaurant could and should offer something better!

My absolute favourite restaurant in Liverpool. We have visited several times over the past 12 months and each time is fantastic. The staff are always extremely efficient and friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing even when it is busy. The food is wonderful, no matter what is chosen and the prices are very reasonable. There are few places I visit with groups where everyone really enjoys what they have. Keep up the excellent work, it really makes this restaurant stand out. There are many eating options on Lark Lane, lots of which are good, but we keep going back to Al Dente.

Great restaurant, delicious food, superb service, fabulous atmosphere, suitable for all ages & a wide variety of choices on the menu . Highly recommend a visit , situated at the end of popular lark lane Liverpool. Well worth a visit.

We had a great night for our group's Christmas party. The food was lovely and the staff were absolutely fabulous, accomodating all our requests to decorate the tables etc-nothing was too much trouble. Everyone really enjoyed the night.

11 of us went for a family birthday , the service was first class as was the food . Every single one of us enjoyed our starters , got to say the creamy prawns starter was delicious !!! Our mains where mainly steaks and again no complaints at all , My fillet steak was cooked exactly as I requested and was really good value for money . There were several birthdays during our 3 hour stay and that added to the general vibe and great atmosphere . 10 outta 10 from us and definatly recommend

Came here with my granddaughter today. The food is tasty and fresh, staff are professional and nothing is too much trouble, the atmosphere is so relaxing, friendly and welcoming. Reasonably priced too. My granddaughter and I loved it.

Had a beautiful evening with the family at Al Dente. Avi went above and beyond for us all again when we turned up without a reservation as our original plans were cancelled last minute. Great atmosphere, incredible food and fantastic service.

Avi, Avi, Avi!! Oi, oi, oi!!! We’ve eaten here loads of times as a family and with our partners and friends and we always have a great time. The food is incredible, the atmosphere is amazing and the staff are fantastic. We will be back very soon!!

Excellent food, big portions even the starters and kids meals. Lovely attentive staff. Relaxed atmosphere.

The food was so fantastic. The calamari was so yum - not greasy or rubbery. The halloumi was great, and the carbonara was very good!! The service was fantastic too.

Just popped out for a spontaneous evening meal at Al Dente which we've visited a few times before. Not many restaurants can boast of better or more attentive service than Al Dente. Our waiter, Recep was wonderful. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of our visit. The food (pizza and Pollo milanese) can best be described as bland. Surprisingly lacking in taste.

Wow wow wow. We brought friends who work on a cruise ship who were amazed at the presentation & the quality of food in Al Dente. The atmosphere is fab. We were made to feel welcome the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Nothing was too much trouble for the efficient, well mannered staff. The Chef Kamal is a real character & really brings the restaurant into a place which is perfect for special occasions such as Birthdays, hen / stag party’s or just for a great meal out with friends or family. The prices are reasonable when you consider the size of the portions and how delicious the food is. In my opinion this restaurant at the top of Lark lane is in fact the top restaurant in Lark lane . A place not to be missed . It really is Liverpools hidden gem.

Most amazing experience with Avi and Recep the amazing waiters. Such a lovely atmosphere and great food and drinks. Amazing value for money too. Highly recommend.

When we arrived, it was busy & we had to wait a few minutes for our table. The staff were lovely & the food was great. The desserts were so good. Will go back when next in Liverpool.
