WORST RESTAURANT EVER! HORRIBLE COUSTOMER SERVICE AND SMELLY FOOD! SHAME ON THEM! Go to this restaurant if you want to ruin your evening! We drove 1.5 hours to get to this restaurant as it was mentioned by some one, that’s where the nightmare began! We walked in and were offered a table at the front by the waiter but as we were about to be seated the manager came rushing and said no put these people in the back of the restaurant, I questioned him as we were looking forward to sit at the front by the window and he said all these tables are booked, which I could tell was a complete BS! I took his word and made my way to the back. We got our food and realised that the rice were very smelly and apart from chicken was not cooked properly and seemed have lived in their fridge for years! Anyway we tried to enjoy our evening as we drove along way to get there and that’s when I realise the tables which we were refused were being given to selected coustomers by the manager as I was quite upset about it I walked up to the manager and mention my concern the manager said all the seats are reserved and the customers will come later on, at that point I mentioned that I saw him giving it to other people and he sat other people down on those seats after refusing them to us... He didn’t like the fact that he got caught on his lies and started getting very aggressive and started raising his voice, I asked him his name and that didn’t go very well with him, he started raising his voice saying don’t tell me how to do my job and loads of other stuff which went over my head, I said I can’t believe that he is the manager of the restaurant and that really upset him, all of a sudden I got surrounded by the waiters who slowly and cleverly started pushing me and my family out of the restaurant saying thank you and go when I was very calmly taking to the aggressive manager..... My kids were traumatised.... so we paid stupid amount of money for the doggy food to be insulted! Avoid if you can at all cost!

The staff is friendly and everything is delicious I prefer this restaurant (Al-Arz) after trying the ones next to it

The food was decent but not something I'd rush back for. The kebab and shish were flavorful, but the doner meat was dry and lacked taste. The salad was fresh and crisp. The atmosphere is nice, and the service was great.

Good service from a Lebanese restaurant As a Moroccan, what attracted me when reading the menu: the couscous dish (written cuscus). Surely my mother's couscous is the best even if I haven't tasted it 😋

We really enjoyed the food and service at this place. The waiter Omar was absolutely charming and helpful. The wrap Al Arez with chicken and lamb mix was delicious. Totally recommended.

When we entered the restaurant, all the waiters and the owner of the restaurant looked at us and talked to each other, whispering and laughing, as we were Arabs. That is why they were late in serving us and the food arrived cold. We left the food feeling annoyed, and they charged us for the bad service. Even though it was the worst service I have ever experienced in my life, I do not recommend this restaurant at all. Quoting from my experience,,,,,

Food - not fresh tasting at all, had a real 'prepared yesterday, re-heated in the microwave' vibe about it, not inspiring at all Service - yeah... Atmosphere - Greasy-Musty-Unemployed 90s feel, you'll know it when you see it ✌️

To be honest, zero star there is a bad service 😒 roud staff and delays order high price there is no fier .the waters hold plats by their hands, not by tray This fruit salad 10 € and their is strawberry moldy and included just apple banana strawberry and juice it's not delicious.

The restaurant has very bad food, and the reception was even worse. The Iraqi hookah maker has very bad manners with customers. It is a place that I would never recommend. The juice contained an insect. Unfortunately, we got it and the restaurant supervisor was informed

The service from an Egyptian waiter was bad after the customer asked him to reduce the volume of the music. I told him, “Nice, stop playing the music.” He replied to me and said, “Go and complain!” The food is delicious but honestly the Egyptian waiter ruined it

Visited on the evening of Eid. We were early so the place was not much crowded and we were allowed to sit outside (outside seating available if you order shisha, we didn't). The service was prompt. Portion size was good for the price. We got got chicken and mixed shawarma meals. Meat was fresh and cooked perfectly. Chips were great but they could have had a little bit more salt, and salad was crispy fresh. Shawarma was wrapped in a traditional Lebanese khubz and appeared to be lightly grilled to hold everything together. Special mentions to the garlic sauce which was finger licking good (if I am allowed to use this phrase). Overall, it was a positive experience and I definitely look forward to visiting again whenever I am back in London.

Walked in and there were so many flies flying around. Lamb shawarma was dry and not pleasant. To add to that, the flies just kept flying around our food. I looked around to see whether they had one of those blue fly lights but none that was functional. Never coming back here again.

Very bad service we ordered mix grill and lamp shops and tabuly salad after 45 min waiting we have the food was completely burned and the salad was missing we don't recommend to anyone

Excellent shawarma and platter were prepared by staff member Sameer. He was friendly and helpful and ensured the shawarma contained enough meat and sauces.

As a Lebanese, this is the worst food i’ve ate in london. They have 0 etiquette the waiters and the food is not clean or fresh. We ordered sujuk sandwich which you can tell was full of colourants and preservatives. Also the lahem meshwi sandwich was not grilled well at all! We ordered cheese sanbousek and it it was not good at all. I absolutely do not recommend and will never come again as a lebanese! Not to mention the bad customer service from the waiters and the unhygienic plates. 2nd update: I emailed them and they did not even reply. Worst customer service ever!

Loved it here. So friendly and the food is so good. The okra and lamb stew is fantastic as is the lamb shawarma - and those chicken wings - wow. The long grain rice was cooked perfectly. A great experience just sitting watching the running of the restaurant

Good food but that probably all I can say about it. The setting is a little dated, the staff were friendly, but a little uninterested. I would happily go again, but it would be because I'm hungry, not for any occasion. Nice walk through Edgeware Road though.

Ordered the wraps/sandwich.. Cost £7 but tbh it was very underwhelming.. was not great.. sadly about the same standard as Pret.. oh well..

Beware of a "bad tummy" reaction! My wife and I had lunch here last week, but never again. The service was passable (frosty till they warmed up a bit) and the food tasted OK (nothing special) but we both had severe stomach upsets afterwards. My wife went in to talk to someone a few days later, and was treated very badly - she was kept waiting to see "the manager" who said, when he finally arrived, that she would have to see "the manager" ... in the evening. Their attitude was totally offhand, contemptuous even, when all that was needed was a mild apology. As I said, never again: why would we, when there are dozens of other places to eat in the same road. I'm not saying you shouldn't eat here, but maybe take some Imodium tablets with you in case you get the same reaction as we did. Your risk. RESPONSE TO OWNER: 1) Lunch means day shift. Surely you knew that. 2) The place was empty so if you serve 250 customers a day, my name is Brad Pitt (it isn't btw). 3) It doesn't matter what we ate, I believe there is a serious lack of hygiene in your place so you could have served me fresh, lovingly prepared food (hahaha) and I expect I would have had the same problem.

Tase of the food is terrible , I didn’t like the meat , shawarma and the chicken!! Kabab was without salt or taste !

First time I came here, was looking for some good food and Shisha after work. Great find and wasn’t too far from train stations and underground. Top service from the gentleman there as I was solo female enjoying my evening they took good care. Thank you to them!

Disgusting bland food on top of that we both got food poisoning! Off sick for 3 days! Very cold inside, toilets were wet on the floor, men and women have to share one toilet! No soap? Food was not fresh, waiter was awful and slow. This used to be our favourite restaurant now it’s gone completely down hill. Never coming back again! The fact you only respond to positive feedback and don’t acknowledge your unhappy customers shows how unprofessional you are too!

Paid a quick visit during lunch time;my lamb swavarma was delicious and service was great; only negative was the bathroom with the water-leeking ceiling.

What the hell happened to this place! It used to be amazing, now they charge almost £20 for a baby chicken meal? Their toilets are dirty, the doors are always opened so it’s cold inside. Ontop of that, we got food poisoning from the stuffed lamb and rice we ate. We felt sick as soon as we left! Never coming back here again.

The place is great but the service is bad

Best shisha spot on Edgware Rd. On a side road where there's plenty of space and outdoor space and you're not thinking about passers by and getting in their way. Had the blueberry and mint shisha which was smooth and lasted hours. Complimentary baklava as no kunafe left. Mint tea to go with it too. Food wise, you can never go wrong with a mixed shawarma sandwich with fries, chilli sauce is banging. Loads more variety and hot mains on menu too. Try the jallab date drink - sensational. Waiters attentive and friendly and will let you stay until closing time!

Unfortunately, Bad food, bland without taste. Shish tawook was unseasoned at all, not grilled just fried, kebab not tasty at all, the Hummus taste like Tahinah. The hummus is not really hummus, they served tahini and claimed it was hummus. Aesthetically the dishes look shocking. The meat is cut very thick and raw on the inside. In short, disappointment and shame for this place

Honestly not good lebanese food and im lebanese i ordered a tawouk sandwich and it was crumbling in my hands. If you’re from another country don’t go there

Great location, clean & spacious but let down by mediocre food. Took 20 minutes to get the 3 dishes we ordered & all came separately. Chilli sauce far too sweet - should be herby not sugary. Lamb Shawarma barely cooked & very fatty. Ordered Hummus Shawarma but got charged as if we ordered 2 separate dishes so bill was £10 more than it should have been. Loads of Lebanese alternatives in this location & most of them are better.

I would say that this is the only true Lebanese restaurant in London! Simply the best and the most delicious.

We were three , we chose to dine in. I ordered kebbeh labniehThe meal was not fresh and cold. I was excited to have it. I will hate to have it forever. The waiter was not nice at all and seemed in a hurry and put the dishes on the table in a hurry. I even asked him to slow down, because my child is next to me and I do not want him to get hurt. fattoush tasted good and the fried kibbeh, the grilled meat was not good either. I couldn’t taste shawarma as well as it didn’t look fresh . The price was more than £70 the bathrooms were unclean and the smell was disgusting, the smells of shisha were everywhere, the atmosphere was not at all suitable for children, nor for those with asthma, nor for those who like quiet places.

Very bad service plus food was served cold. Extremely disappointed and will not visit again. Friendly advice is go to al arez instead of express which is on opposite side.

We went to this restaurant after reading the reviews on Google. We ordered chicken soup, lentil soup, mixed grill , chicken shawarma, and mixed grill mutabbel. The meat was well cooked but bland. The bread was hard and difficult to eat. The mutton seekh was good. Overall, I expected more from this place.

I ordered their fantastic Shish Sandwich, and I also ordered a plate of Shish and Hummus—both were exceptional, a solid 10/10. The staff is respectful and courteous. The restaurant atmosphere is average, but the prices are excellent. I definitely plan on visiting again. Highly recommended!

the food was amazing! we got a variety of things and everything turned out perfect. the restaurant itself has beautiful decor and the atmosphere is really cozy and welcoming. Also, the staff were excellent and their service. 10/10 definitely would recommend if you’re looking for good arabic food

Nice food but extremely unprofessional and rude. Got food ate it was asked for payment then asked if we want to do half payment we said yes, swiped card, I asked do I not need to pay the other half to which the server said I THOUGHT U SAID FULL AND DIDN'T HEAR YOU, YOU CAN SORT OUT THE PAYMENT AMONGST EACH OTHER, and he laughed then asked if we want to take the food away to which we said yes, he didn't come for a good 5 mins and then another guy came and asked the same question if we want to take away rest as half of our food was still left. We said yes. He never came back. Good 5 mins we waited again and then wore out coats towards the door and I saw the guy who came second time to take the food and asked him if he had packed the food. He said no I threw it sorry, and laughed. I said What and was a bit shocked but coudnt say anything then saw the other guy who first took payment and was getting the boxes but never came back and asked him, how come u took the payment for us both in full when we asked him clearly to do half half and now the other server threw all our food. He said what do u want me to do, you're looking for trouble I can see. I said excuse me, how can you talk to me like that. He said I can give you a shawarma and give it to you. I said that will take some time and we already have been waiting for some time and it's quite late. He said I have attitude and what do u want me to do about it and said LEAVE. then another man came from the back who I thought was the manager, i asked him if he was the manager but he said no. Still don't know where and why the manager didn't come to resolve anything and everyone was just walking around doing nothing about the situation. These men are all grown up, and talking to a woman like that who has not even been rude or raised her voice or even sworn at anyone and the man who I then spoke to asked me, why are you not leaving if he said to you to leave. I said why would I leave if I get spoken to like that and not get an apology. He asked did he not resolve it for u. I said before suggesting to give me a shawarma in return of the food thrown away he already told me I have attitude and looking for trouble. He kept quite and didn't even reply. Then before I was leaving the restaurant the man who was rude shouted,u take the food, or I give u refund or u leave. I said ok give me refund then to which he didn't respond and said LEAVE NOWWWW. and shouted f off . This is disgusting behaviour. I didn't raise my voice didn't swear and this grown up man acting so childish who we paid neslry £40 and he is talking to us with so much disrespect and all the men working were just there looking and didn't resolve anything. I'm disgusted by this behaviour and didn't think I would have such a bad time.

Meat wasn’t well cooked Foods really average and doesn’t worth the price

Went there last night and it was a horrible and stinky experience. My daughter found a hair in her platter, disgusting to say the least! We complained but the mnager and staff are very arrogant. Even worse was one of the waiters with a serious attitude who farted next to our table (we all heard it!) It was a put off and I will never set foot in this place.

I recently visited Al Arez Express on a Saturday and had a wonderful experience. I ordered the shish tawooq and chips, and I was delighted with the flavor and the way it was cooked. What impressed me even more was their shisha. It was made greatly and had a great flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed it while relaxing in their comfortable seating area outside. The service at Al Arez Express was outstanding, particularly from the young guy working outside. He was friendly, attentive, and provided us with blankets to keep us warm on the chilly evening. It was a thoughtful gesture that made our visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Al Arez Express. The food is delicious and cooked to perfection, the shisha is top-notch, and the service is exceptional. Whether you’re looking for a tasty meal or a cozy place to relax with friends, this restaurant is the place to go.

I had an unfortunate experience at this restaurant during my visit to London. The staff, particularly the chef, made derogatory comments in Arabic towards the female members of our group. Shockingly, the manager supported this behavior. The entire situation was uncomfortable, and we felt disrespected. The staff's attitude and behavior were highly unprofessional, and they appeared to lack basic courtesy. We were so appalled by their actions that we attempted to contact the authorities for assistance. Unfortunately, we were discouraged from doing so, which added to our frustration. As a result of this disturbing encounter, we made the decision to leave the restaurant without having our meal. I strongly recommend that others think twice before visiting this establishment, as the treatment we received was unacceptable and disrespectful."

The restaurant gives us bad experience for the first time in London, one of the worst guest experience, the staff(chef) who makes grill verbally abused the girls who came with us in Arabic language and the manager was supporting the staff. The staffs were looking the girls like they have never seen girls before, we tried to call police but they requested us not to call… hence we left without having the food. KINDLY REQUEST YOU TO NOT TO VISIT THIS RESTAURANT.

Absolutely fantastic food, bursting with flavour. It’s a must

I visited today for the first time and I actually felt sick. The smell of the lamb chops was making us feel nauseous. The bathroom smelt and was so dirty. The only food that was decent was the falafel. The shawarma was bland and the meat smelt stale. To top it off, one of the workers came in with two black bags of food rubbish into the restaurant whilst we were eating. The bag was leaking. I still feel sick thinking about the place and the food. Never again.
