AK's Indian in Solihull

We gave a takeaway curry every Saturday night and sit in the restaurant often. Service is brilliant lovely people. The best Indian food we have had for a long time.

We had one of the best Indian meals we've ever had at this restaurant. The food was excellent and the staff were so friendly. We're not from the area, just passing through, so it was a bit tricky to find but well worth it.

Great service, great staff and most importantly- GREAT food. A warm and friendly welcome for an ad-hoc visit as we were passing by on a canal boat and were desperate for a curry! It was delicious!!!

First visit, nice setting, lovely sunny evening and courtyard seating outside was a plus. Wonderful food and very friendly and attentive service. Only slight disappointment was no desserts, ice-cream would have been welcome. Overall great restaurant and will be back.

Love it here........it’s our local takeaway so decided to eat in with all the family, staff are extremely attentive and friendly, great selection of wines which is great, food delicious super fresh and tasty, food and drink just kept flowing, good atmosphere in there with diners laughing and enjoying themselves which is great to see! Looking forward to returning......

My wife and I had a meal at AJs Indian for the first time. We booked online in advance and received a prompt confirmation. The restaurant is set in a rural location and set in a lovely / quaint building. Staff were friendly. Food was lovely. We were not rushed either which was nice. Would visit again.

First time visitors , were recommended by the flower seller at the entrance , service & food were very good , fully licensed bar ,not a large restaurant so booking may be an idea , definitely worth a visit

Very nice food and forthcoming staff. Unfortunately they didn't have any deserts, but offered nice chocolates instead. :-)

We tried AK's after receiving a local flyer, what a find! Pretty little restaurant, service great and the food just lovely. Some traditional items and a few new treats I hadn't had before. Been back since, great place.

Two diners visited this restaurant for the first time, and we shall certainly return for another meal. Prompt service, and excellent food!

After eating here several weeks ago and all of us being impressed with the whole experience myself and some friends decided to return and we weren't disappointed, great service from Abdul and lovely food, my Chicken & Mushroom Balti with a sprinkling of Spinach was delicious. We will be returning in the New Year

We had been before and loved the food. So we returned and were 5 minutes early for our 8pm table. By 8:30pm we were still standing at the bar. No table, no apology or drink offered. I asked the owner if our table was ready and explained we had been waiting 30 minutes. Instead of replying or apologising for our wait he barked something in another language to a waiter and walked off. He walked past me a moment later and gave me a dirty look. My partner and I walked out. We went to the Saleem Bagh in Dorridge and were treated like VIPs with delicious food.

Very slow taking our drinks and food orders , after a long wait the starters arrived, then another long wait for main course, and when the food arrived it was only warm. Seemed very disorganised, and take away food seemed to be going out faster then serving food to us in the restaurant. Will not be going back.

My wife and I are vegetarians, however we but dined with two carnivores so a good selection of dishes were sampled. All agreed it was a really good experience. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was well prepared and presented. The restaurant is in, what appears to be, an old farm building so the ambiance is lovely.

Just eaten at AK’s which is just up the road from where we live. Great tasting food served by very good staff. So glad we tried it, we will be back and trying the takeaway too.

Great new Indian, fresh flavours and fantastic cosy settings. Outside seating and 2 levels of seating inside and has a cottage homely feel . Great service and prices and sure to become a regular for all the locals!!
