We were too late for our usual chippy and very hungry so thought we'd try Penwithick again after a few years...What a mistake! £22 for 2 pieces of thin fish in slimy half cooked tasteless batter with chips that were so spale and soggy they were practically inedible! I'm not sure how it's possible to get fish and chips so wrong and it was only when I got the sickly aftertaste did I remember they cook using beef fat which is why we stopped going there before although I don't remember the food being sooo bad!

Brilliant food service amazing defo recommend really welcoming dog freindly too which is amazing staff very helpful x

Saw the award winning sign and thought give these a go. Waited 10 mins for 2 giant pasties as they were in the oven. Nothing amazing really just average and had better and worse.

I never leave reviews but for this experience I felt I had to. Was unsure what to have to eat tonight, a bit fed up with the usual chippy or pizza so the wife said she fancied a Chinese but after reading the awful reviews we decided against it. We then spotted this little Thai takeaway and I have to say it was absolutely fantastic. Everything was perfect from ordering to extremely friendly service on collection. I can highly recommend the Thai red curry with chef's special chilli rice, stunning. Thank you 😊

Ordered fish & chips and battered sausage, all very greasy - won’t be going back, also, cash only - be prepared.
