Airfield Tavern in Reigate and Banstead

We visited the Tavern as there was a band playing on Saturday night. The band (Asylum Affair) were excellent and played for two hours, with a ten minute interval. The service at the bar was very efficient and friendly. The beer was reasonably priced, considering the entertainment was free. Seating was available,but there was room for those who wanted to dance . The music was quite loud, but you expect that in a busy pub. I have written this review as all the others are several years old

it's an old people pub every weekend there's a fight. no consideration for working people or babies. After 11pm they still play loud music.

Absolutely fantastic night! I can not fault anything! Booked 3 tickets for my partner, her brother and I for the NYE celebration at the Tavern. The ticket price (£10) I thought was reasonable in comparison to other pubs and venues locally. The staff were brilliant. Despite it being rather busy they worked hard and kept the wait at the bar to a minimum! The manager Ant was lovely and ensured we, along with everyone else, had a fantastic night! The band that they had booked for the night, the titanic dance band I believe, were outstanding! They were fun and entertaining! I was recommended this pub by a friend and visited a few times prior to booking our tickets and I have to say I am glad we came here over anywhere else! Will be returning for sure!

The Tavern is a great place for live music at weekends, they do have other events during the week, Monday is free pool, Tuesday open mic night for local musicians and song writers, Wednesday is now Wednesday karaoke featuring the great Alan, Thursday's quiz night and Friday is Friday night karaoke.The only downside for me is the beer on tap doesn't taste great, not sure if its dirty lines or what, same beers elsewhere taste better, so I only drink bottles there. Sadly on Friday and Saturday nights it can get somewhat boisterous with fights breaking out, there are door staff but they only make them self known at shift start and at close rest of the time they are outside and don't seem quick to intervene in the alterations.

Great entertainment and atmosphere which will not be beaten in Horley. Drink prices are very reasonable. Some of the clientelle can be slightly perculiar but that is not the managements fault who do a very good job of running the establishment and providing a good service. Great beer garden which is often open into the night unlike some local pubs.

The Tavern in Horley RH6 what to say...Brilliant bar staff! Good music, accommodating to TV requests aka ice hockey, good karaoke nights on Fridays, great live bands on a Saturday and Sunday night, open mike nights on a Tuesday for local up coming acts, free pool 4pm onwards on a Monday, quiz nights on a Thursday.It's a small pub internally but has a big heart! Nice sized beer garden out back ob those nice warm summer nights.Alas if looking for food it only serves alcohol and crisps/nuts, maybe in due course?If here on vacation and flying back out from Gatwick I've met many a Canadian, American and Scandinavian who like this place.

As visitors to Horley we went into the first pub we came across.The Tavern -Horley ..........It was like entering the TWIGHLIGJT ZONEeveryone stared, really dark pub and a truly strange weird vibe.the band was good so we thought we would stay for the music.We ordered our drinks, then the security guy came over to the bar and said two of us had to leave because we had innapropriate footwear!!!!!!!!!! We were wearing fit flops. £45/£60 a pair, I was utterly gob smacked at the stupidity of this. We left and went to Witherspoon which was much more vibrant and full of happy fun people.So we were happy to spend around £100 in spoons.

We popped in here for some refreshments & had a great evening, excellent food well presented good ale what more could you want

Been here lots of times over the past years at the moment it is very quiet during the week lunchtimes and evenings apart from Friday nights when they often have a band on Saturday night can also be busy a bit pricey on the drinks compared to other nearby pubs in the town

En el pasado me volveré a admitir abiertamente que he estado bastante desfavorable sobre la taberna tenía una revisión de "evitar" la revisión, ignorar bien esta crítica es buena para 2 visitas recientes.Si bien comparado con el resto de Horley algunos de los precios más caros por las cervezas, no obstante tienen algunas cervezas interesante de cervecerías locales, lo cual es bueno ver el apoyo y como tal quizás merece la pena pagar un poco más para, si quieres quédate más barato a otros pubs de cerveza en la ciudad, sin embargo, si quieres probar algo diferente y no te importa pagar un poco más para luego dar la taberna una prueba.Viernes pueden ser muy animados y concurridos, especialmente si tienen un evento como karaoke o una banda tocando, esperar a ser ruidoso, pero en el buen sentido siempre la persona haciendo el karaoke pueden contener un tono que es! El servicio un poco lento en esas noches ocupados pero tolerable. Durante el día está bastante vacío y tranquilo, así que si eso es más a su gusto que es probablemente un buen momento para ir.Tiene un bonito jardín trasero grande con muchas mesas y bancos y vegetación bonita en un caluroso día para sentarse fuera y bueno para aquellos que fuman.El personal es agradable, educado y amable.No me evitando de nuevo volveré sobre todo para ver qué otros cervezas locales y bandas que puedan tener en la próxima vez.

Popped in early evening.. we both had the pie mash n gravy excellent!!! Great value... great staff. ... can't fault.. weekends also great live entertainment... keep up the good work...,Bobby'....

called here on Friday night was packed got to bar seen 2 out 3 ales were off so left went back on Saturday as they had entertainment on had pint of hobgoblin as only ale on wasn't great only had the one and left

We have visited this pub a few times now and it is very friendly. Live music some Saturdays which is always great fun.

Sorry but let down by this pub, beer over priced imo I've heard its trying to be a London pub not sure I would agree I drink in a lot of London pubs only thing London about it is the price. Better and cheaper alternatives...

Popped in to warm up and relax whilst waiting to check in for a holiday. The fantastic barman makes me want to return

Been coming to the Airfield Tavern since the new bar manager has taken over. Plenty of live music, a great selection of beverages and fantastic bar staff. They lay on entertainment throughout the week including open mic nights, pub quiz, salsa and live bands.

We went here at around 6pm on a Saturday night to find tables and chairs stacked up to leave a big empty space to cater for a band which were on at 21.00. The barmaid served us with her mouth full of food, ironically they were not serving food which is why we visited, we had a quick drink as it wasnt exactly welcoming, very much a locals pub

This is one of the most expensive pubs in Horley. It used to be called 'The Gatwick Arms', after the racecourse, but the present owners decided to give it a new name. To local people it will always be known as 'The Gatwick' and there's nothing much the owners can do about this. A fair selection of beverages. Meals are served. A small garden at the rear. There are better, and less expensive pubs in Horley.

popped in for a meal lunch time , not been in since they changed hands , a pleasant and reasonable priced meal

We stayed several days in Horley and visited the Main Street and tried to get to all the local haunts. This was very nice had I loved the way it was done out.

Went to this Pub for my birthday night just re-opened. The garden has been decorated and looks amazing so after the pub got just a little hot inside we moved outside to the garden. Everyone was buzzing and having a great time. Lovely atmosphere would go again.

one afternoon in the end of september we walked pass this old pup in Horley town in Gatwick, we do like old things so we opend the door and looked inside. There where rather few customers but we stopt for a pint, every thing about this place we promising, the place looked nice in good condition service was good. we did not look at the menu . Just stop for a pint.

O dia que fomos estava um pouco vazio, mas o lugar é legal, fomos bem atendidos, a comida estava boa (as porções são grandes) e o preço é razoável. Não é o melhor pub que já fomos, mas valeu a pena e com certeza voltaríamos.

I have been to the Airfield Tavern on a number of occasions but haven't seen it as busy as it is on a Thursday evening when they run their quiz. It starts at about 2030 hrs and there were about 9 teams taking part and plenty of others who were in the pub just for drinks and chatting.A good selection of Hall & Woodhouse beers, lagers and soft drinks and deals on other drinks what is there not to like?? The staff are attentive and service is swift, I think we will definitely be back on a Thursday evening as well as for the odd drink now and again.

We visited the newly refurbished Airfield Tavern (was the Gatwick Arms) on last Saturday evening. The interior has had a smart make over but they didn't do anything with the garden. Unloved probably best describes it, dead hanging baskets, garden furniture well past its replacement date & waste bins clearly on display.The pub had only 4 other customers at 6.30 pm on a Saturday so there was no atmosphere & our cider/wine could have been colder. We didn't bother staying & eating.We will stick to The Jack Faiman, where the drinks are cheaper, colder & the pub has some life.
