Situated in a convenient location opposite Plymouth University, attended by friendly efficient bar staff and vibrant open decor perfect for those summer days with heaters for those cold winter nights. I highly reccomend for locals and those visiting the city.

Perfect place for a few drinks in the sun with friends, The vibe is awesome! Also very central to the town centre and train station.

We often come here for some drinks after work on the sunnier days. Have never had a problem with service and have always been made to feel very welcome. Have never eaten here but have drank many times. It is one of mine and my friends favourite bar.

No service to speak of. Went to bar to order a drink, was rudely told to go back to table and use a smartphone to access an app for drinks and payment. Also advised to have to walk next door to order a drink even tthough stood literally in front of bar. Smacks of can't be bothered attitude. Dismissive and non apologetic staff.

Customer service a solid 0/10 Ordered drinks at the bar to be rudely told to use the app, which we did, later in the evening Scooby “ scatty” doo told us to leave, as we we disrespectful, at no point did we do anything wrong. Huge attitude problem from a child doing an adults job.

The drinks are too expensive for what they are, service is slow but other than that you get what is expected

Bar staff were very friendly and the DJ was playing awesome music! Had some cocktails and gins. Will definitely visit again!

Absolutely crap, don’t even bother wasting your time coming! Start to finish the most unimpressed service I’ve ever been put through.

We came across this place by chance and decide to step in,as the colours and beach style design was attractive.Staff was very kind,but the app system to order food is totally inappropriate,it basically force you to get what is on the menu,without options or chance to communicate.I have a strong dairy intolerance and after receiving our vegetarian tacos fully covered with cheese,we said that. To fix that they kindly brought another plate of burned tacos. Nice colours,friendly staff but we definitely won’t go back as stomachache is still aching

My friend and I went to the Air bar for a couple of drinks and a bite to eat last Sunday afternoon. After the initial entry procedure, which wasn't too much of a chore (like their facebook page and send a message with your name and phone number, then have your temperature checked) we were then let in to chose where we wanted to sit. The bar person was friendly, polite and guided us on how to order the food and drinks for a table service, which was via an online app. All very easy once set up. So we ordered a nachos platter to share and a couple of drinks. The order was quick to arrive but instead of nachos and chilli, we got a platter of chips chilli and cheese. We weren't too bothered about the mix up so we decided not to mention it. Moments later, the chef came out to our table and confessed to us that he had mixed the order up and he would do us some nachos immediately. We said that we weren't bothered but he insisted and said that it was on the house and we could carry on eating the original order, so we said ok. About 5 minutes later, one of the bar staff came over to us, apologised for the mix up and offered the next couple of drinks on the house! The food was good but we struggled to get through it all as there was so much of it (after getting the extra platter for free!) and I wasn't feeling that hungry due to a few too many beers the night before... It was a great summer atmosphere at the Air bar. We sat in a really nicely done out place and the bar staff and chef were really friendly and attentive, they all made us feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend it for a some chill out beers and a bite to eat in the sun!

Great for a drink in the sunshine as long as you don’t want a glass of white wine. How can a bar run out of wine again and again? Surely you’d increase your order but in the meantime get your supplier out or go buy some. It’s not rocket science; that’s found over the road at the university!

I went for a pint with friends on a quiet and drizzly Tuesday, there were only around 20 customers in. I got a bottled cider which the bartender poured into a glass. I went to sit down and realised the glass was very dirty, grimy and appeared to have dried bubbles from beer head on the side; I thought it mustn't have been cleaned and put on the shelf accidentally. When I asked the bartender to change the glass, they picked up a lot of other dirty glasses off the shelves before finding a clean one for me. My friends I was with had cloud/murky glasses too. I appreciate it is hard to get milk stains off glasses, but I recommend the managers get their staff to washout milky coffee cups in a sink before putting them in a general glass wash to the milk doesnt ruin the pint glasses. Otherwise a lovely place to have a pint in the sun.

i don't know about you, but i feel like i breathe better in here!! the cocktails were nice - lots of ice not enough alcohol (maybe too much ice - the best is i had was when i was on holiday with my ex-boyfriend horatio - he was really fit and attractive and also a lovely person - he treated me like a princess always buying me custard creams and bourbons from tesco or the next best selling brand, I'm not fussy). anyway, i also had a very lovely spiced apple cider (xmas) - i don't really celebrate xmas but i do relish in the beverages and food i xmas. as a feminist i take umbrage to father xmas (wheres mother xmas (shackled to the oven i assume) why is he in charge?! behind every man is a greater woman!! air opened my eyes further to the truth. haven't had the food (yet) but shall be going soon! see you there!!

During my time at Uni in Plymouth, rain or shine, you would probably find me with a beer in Air. It's a great place to chill and have a drink with friends and perfect location to have a break from uni work! I went throughout the year, however on a warm summer evening it is the perfect spot (but it does get busier during summer months) Not the cheapest place to drink if your a student however the atmosphere in Air make it worth the cost plus during the day you can bring drinks over from Cuba which always helped bank! Plus the food deals they have during the week are perfect when you're on the sesh!

The three or four drinking places clustering within yards of each other on this corner seem to be connected. They also, especially Cuba do deals on booze right down to £1 a pint late evening. Eating and swilling in Air I was told by regular friends that Air is part of the same business as Cuba and there is no problem it's buying a cheap pint in Cuba and drinking it in Air where otherwise you could be laying bearer £4 at the Mr Bean food and drink counter within the Air enclosure. As so it was that on a balmy early term weekday evening we could sit for hours with passable burger type food washed down with middling quality but intoxicating cheap booze. It was also buzzing so the owners have clearly hit on a well balanced formula. If you are that bit older than the student population then like us you need some of those in your party to buffer you from feeling awkward and sticking out like a sore thumb.....but then after the third pint it may not matter.

It's a nice cosy area over the road from the university. Drinks are expensive (to the average person they'll be roughly the same as any pub pint). A slightly cramped seating area although it's no trouble to move around. Definitely suitable for smaller groups.

Vinimos aquí para celebrar mi amigo terminando su segunda licenciatura de ley. Siempre el tiempo fue increíble, así que era agradable para sentarse fuera. He estado en el aire antes de una copa, pero no por la comida. Fui por una hamburguesa con patatas fritas de camote. La comida tardo un poco pero valió completamente la pena. Las patatas fritas de camote eran increíbles, ya que eran muy suaves pero muy sabroso. Mi cuenta fue de menos de 7 libras para la hamburguesa y una pinta, así que estaba muy feliz. La hamburguesa también era delicioso, y tengo muchas expectativas para una buena hamburguesa. La salsa barbacoa era genial y me encantó. Sin duda volveremos en el futuro por una pinta y burger.

We purchased coffee to drink in + also had takeaway coffee. The coffee was lovely, the staff help full. It was nice to sdit in the open air with nice warm heaters. In December it was warm enough. Worth a visit. Well priced coffee,
