Worst ndian meal ive ever had disgraceful would never eat from here ever again complete waste of money and not very cheap

Worst restaurant I have been to. We should have walked out. Visited last year when in Skegness. First of all they only accepted cash and not card payments. When we entered there was only one other couple in the restaurant. Guess what happened..... Whilst in the restaurant, the lights went off two times! No explanation why, we were just left in complete darkness. Toilets are disgusting and are underground. The food, horrible. An insult to Indian food, drinks were also warm I presume due to power cutting off twice. Service was rubbish. Quickly ate our food and left. We were the only couple in the restaurant after the other couple left. Thinking back, we should have walked out and refused to pay. Disgrace of a restaurant!

Curry lovely poppodums tasted like oily musty taste recommend curry

We ordered onion barges, lamb biryani, lamb madras and poppadom. The 2 barges were the size of golf balls, no salad and no sauce for £3.95. The madras was tasteless with no heat what so ever. The lamb biryani was wet soggy rice with a serving of tinned vegetable soup with a slight bit of curry past mixed in (but you could still taste the soup taste). I dident get to try a poppadom as was given a refund for it at the door as they forgot it. My dog loves a lick of curry and a bit of left over rice and even she had 1 taste and walked away. I would rather never eat curry again than eat this cheep nasty muck. I would be ashamed to send this to anyone.

First time ordering but I found the curry very sour. The korma sauce was very lumpy almost like it had split. The chicken was very dry and lots of dark meat. Didn’t enjoy it at all. Most went in the bin.

Recieved wrong order, they replaced it but what I ordered was probably the worst indian meal I ever had. Starter was also bland. Not very good at all.

Food was excellent and will definitely use again, however the food did arrive at 5pm not 7pm as ordered which caused a few problems, but given the present circumstances nothing to worry about.

The food all had a funnii taste and all tasted the same the popadoms was inedible and rice was sloppy in water the prawns was rock hard and hard to chew

A busy night for the Agra being Valentines but the service and food did not disappoint at all. Mr Kabir the owner even found time to come from the Kitchen to say hello and check everything was OK. Will definitely visit again.

Called in here for a takeaway as we had our two dogs with us. The staff were friendly and accommodating as we are both vegan. The food was delicious piping hot and reasonably priced. All in all I would have to say it was an excellent experience and we will be calling in again. This time we'll leave the dogs at home and eat in the restaurant

Well, when ordering food I don't expect the delivery driver to try and run me over!! I ordered food from just eat to be delivered. It came early, I don't know how the food was because I didn't get it. The driver went to the wrong address despite me putting delivery instructions (as everyone tends to get lost). So after reading the instructions she tells me that she's turning round and tells me to go outside now (not use to delivery drivers demanding this), anyway I go outside and she gets to the end of the driveway (which is about 5 cars long) and starts beeping. You can't turn round without coming onto the drive way, so I wave her on and get to the car. I told her that no delivery driver has ever just sat in the car and started beeping before and it was pretty rude. To which she told me I was rude, she wasn't going to give me my food and started to turn round, with me at the side of the car and I had to jump out of the way so she didn't hit me! I honestly can't believe it, it's not as if I was even in a bad mood and was being rude.. my food was being delivered early!

First chicken vindaloo was awful but I rang them up they brought me a new meal which was spot on the lady was polite and sorted them problem thank you.

Aangezien één van de vrienden Indiaas wilde eten hier naar binnen getogen. We waren op een doordeweekse avond de enige gasten. Eten was zozo en voor mijn doen te spicy ook al had ik om een milde smaak gevraagd. Domper op de avond was dat bij de Chicken Tikkie Massala een stuk glas in het eten werd gevonden. Na veel discussie dit gerecht niet hoeven te betalen. Dit was de eerste en de laatste keer in dit restaurant.

Food was beyond poor! First and last time ordering from this place I’m afraid. My Lamb bhuna was the worst I’ve ever had, the lamb “if that’s what you call it” was pale? It looked as if it was out of a tin. The rice looked like it was out of a packet (Uncle bens) straight out of the microwave with a bit of spice on top. Naan bread shocking. Onion bhaji was like it was from yesterday heated up was foul and just tasted of lemon? And that’s just my order!!! My partner ordered a lamb biryani and once again it looked like a packet rice with 4 chunks of over cooked lamb mixed in, no flavour at all. The vegetable curry accompaniment was definitely a mix of frozen carrots and green beans, vile!!! The only place for the order was the bin, even the dog turned its nose up!!! And as for customer service it matched the food, shocking! I called straight away to inform them of the disappointment with the food to be told just to ring Just Eat if we have a problem. Accepting no responsibility for there own food at all. As I said before we will definitely NEVER be ordering from here again and wouldn’t advise anyone else to either, save your money you’d find a better meal at Iceland!

I hate writing bad reviews, but this place deserves one. the dips with the poppadum's were strange and the most awful I have ever seen. the main portions were huge unfortunately awful. my partner had a basic dopiaza that was killed by heat to cover the awful taste. the worst Indian ever. the toilet is disgusting sorry

Food was great. However the service was appalling. No drinks initially, then wrong drinks eventually got the correct drinks. Due to the poor service we would not eat here again.

This is probably the worst Indian we’ve ever had! I thankfully wasn’t really hungry so had popadoms (can’t get those wrong) but the pickles were like baby food. And I had a chicken tikka starter. The chicken was not cooked properly, and it wasn’t the best. My boyfriend had a chicken tikka masala which again was like lumps of chicken in baby puréed food, the pileau rice was stodgy and the naan was flat as a pancake. Over all it wasn’t good at all. The staff were very friendly though, Do avoid at all costs, there are plenty of places to eat here, this really was not nice. Nothing authentic about it either.

The restaurant was empty and that should have been the sign to about turn , the food was shocking , tastless curry , greasy bread and smelt of fish , I thought the portion size was am very small but that turned out ok because most of it was left. Wouldn't recommend at all,, avoid.

Out of all of the places I have eaten whilst been in Skegness and surrounding areas this has to be the friendliest of them all. We was a party of 3. My partner and a dear friend. We was the only people in there and it felt strained and uncomfortable if im honest.

Chicken was chewy. Sauce was full of oil. Poppadom was burnt. Will not use again.

Read the reviews but wanted to give them a chance.. oh wow I’m glad I did... the food was delicious, and one on my fav Indians now. Me and daughter were in Skegness for a long weekend and we ate here twice. The lady who served us was so helpful and altered meal sizes to suit my daughter. So friendly and food was just so tasty. look forward to next holiday as will be eating here.

Disgusted how me and my service users was spoken to by the staff when eating popadoms me in meals brought to us when we had not finished and was told to eat it or not pay and leave if we was unhappy with service server kept walking away half way through discussions and discussing our complaints with other customers and refused to approach us rest of the night

We were very sceptical about eating here based on previous reviews but were very pleasently surprised! Food was delicious and staff were friendly and attentive.

Gave this place another try as it was very busy in Skeg due to England game (2.0 Mint) so we ordered & waited & bits & bobs came out but all very poor quality & still if you question anything the staff seem to lose the ability to speak or understand English anyway we ate very little,paid half the bill & left. There are some nice Indian restaurants in Skeg so try a good one as these people take the mickey out of you & have no regard for your hard earned money ! Never again for sure.

We used to come here every time we came to skeg for a takeaway. However this evening was a joke. The person taking the order was adding £4.50 on to £21.70 and coming up with £28!! After explaining and showing her three times she huffed...

Not sure what happened tonight, quality of the chicken was a bit poor and the peshwari was inedible, it was overloaded with a spice I couldn’t identify, smelt floral? but it was so strong it burnt the back of my mouth. Had good food from here over the years but not tonight.

The chicken was so dry when I chewed it my teeth stuck together. The onion bhaji was incredibly greasy and small and the pappadoms was burnt! Won't be ordering again most of it went in the bin waste of money.

This is the first time we have ordered from the Agra in quite a while. Our order was delivered half an hour earlier than expected, the food tasted nice but wasn't as good as we remember.

My partner, brother and dad visited last Saturday night and we're really unwell all day Sunday and Monday with horrendous diarrhoea. From what they have said and from the other reviews on trip advisor this place needs closing down it's not safe! Such a shame as 10 years ago it was the best in skeg.

Visited with friends and had a good evening. Not very clued up on Indian food. I had mixed starts with poppadoms (just as expected) followed by a jalfrizzi which was very pleasant. Add in the excellent Cobra beer and it made for a pleasant evening.

Odd is the only way to describe this place. Food tastes very odd and not like Indian food. Staff didn't seem to really want us there and toilets are just appaling

Disappointing. The naan bread was meant to be garlic but there was no sign of garlic. It was definitely just plain. The bhajis tasted weird. My wife thinks overcooked but to me horrible flavour. It's a shame cos garlic naan and bhajis are my favourite bit. Curry was okay. Nothing special. Rice was fine too. Poppadoms nice. Lady that delivered really nice. I would give the place another chance.

Lady that delivered food was lovely however food was awful. Rice was hard as if reheated, jalfrazi had no taste and the chicken was like rubber again as if reheated. Naan bread was very doughy ordered cheese naan couldnt find any cheese. Couldnt eat it ended up binning the lot.....should have gone to the vine #yucky

The starters were lovely best mint yoghurt ever had. The Korma was very thick consistency which we did not like too much but it tasted nice . Naan breads were not the best very dry would not order them again. The service was second to none would definately order again but not Naan breads.

When I visited I was the only diner there. Service was good, the food was cooked freshly, the mushroom fried rice was very tasty, slightly disappointed in my Pilli Pilli chicken, it could have been hotter, IE chilli wise. Service was good.

We have visited this restaurant on many occasions in the past but not in the last two years. Didn't bother to read the reviews as we had good experience previously. What a shock this visit was.We had a few drinks beforehand and then decided to have a curry before we headed back to Butlins. Popadoms and chutney tray was fine be it the yoghurt was luminous green. We ordered two Thali's and two different curries between four of us. Presentation looked decent enough, however when my sister-in-law cut the chicken breast to share accordingly with her husband it looked very pink on the inside, I thought it was the tandoori colouring but upon closer inspection it was "raw" and cold inside..we then cut our's and it was one of the same. We requested that it be changed and replaced. We were told that they would bring some Chicken Tikka as this would be quicker. When the waitress returned it was a cheap version of a lamb kebab of sorts!! When we asked why they had sent lamb instead of chicken, it was because we had ordered Lamb in our curries she thought it would be OK. If someone had had more to drink this could of been a very dangerous mistake serving "Raw" Chicken. Bizarrely we offered to pay for the popadoms and curries but refused to pay for the 2x Thali's. With hindsight we were very lucky, but to be honest 3 out of 4 us had very dodgy stomachs later that evening. This is the first time I have given a negative review, but please people consider the reviews until this establishment either changes hands or makes drastic changes in their preparation of their meats.

Ate here on Saturday 23rd September 2017 with 3 friends. The food was disgusting, and the service not much better. One of my friends ordered something from the menu to be told it wasn't available, and when we said we would leave the waiter said "don't worry I will go to Tesco for it" At that point we should have left but foolishly we stayed. Trust me don't eat here.

Visited with a group of friends whilst on a weekend break. The food portions and prices are very good. Thali was certainly the best thing to choose with a selection of curries with sundries. Friends went last year too and felt it wasn't as good as then and some felt a bit unimpressed. Couldn't complain too much considering price and may go back again as good location too.

food was very nice however delivery driver was very rude and almost aggressive/intimidating regarding a mix up with phone numbers. I did not appreciate being told off for not having up to date phone number, and the driver returning after delivering food to confront/tell me off. i apologised for the misunderstanding but this was not good enough. I wouldn't order from here again for that reason. I do not know why number is not up to date as I have not had this problem at home.

I've have used this Indian restaurant many times in the past and have always been pleased. After a while of not popping in, I decided to eat there again. I could see differences as soon as I walked in - including the "cash only" sign - but one the whole the interior decor was an improvement. The food, however, was not. I often have the same dish -lamb biriani - which allows me to make comparisons between different indian restaurants. In this case, it was not up to the standard I an used to and certainly not up to what it used to be. I found the service to be good, but it was let down by the food. What a pity :(

Best takeaway curry I've ever had

Dirty , damp , peeling wallpaper, toilet downstairs was filthy and cellar dining room now unused and piled with clutter rubbish and all sorts of junk, terrible service, got our order wrong 3 times, rude staff, unhelpful, food was very poor too, instead of correcting our order a waitress seemed willing to argue all night about it, another young waitress said she can only serve drinks and clear plates and took salt and pepper from our table before food arrived, we asked her for salt and pepper back and she said there wasn't any for our table and she will get in trouble if things are not in the right place so I went over and helped myself, you risk being ill on holiday if you use this trashy place, I won't call it a restraunt, for your own good and well being please AVOID

Called in on a whim. We've been eating out in Skegness for years and never been in the Agra Tandoori before. I'm so glad we called in. Beautiful food really tasty, large portions, valve for money. Good service. Will definitely be going again

Ordered a take out from here one evening given that access to restaurant was good with parking close by. Poppadoms were stale and soft, the curry was very oily and had a vinegar taste with no real flavour. Paratha and rice were ok, but wouldn't have said really fresh. Would avoid at all costs - find somewhere else..

We have not been to this restaurant for some years and it's changed hands. The interior is tired, the menu advertises Botox and fillers, which is a little unusual. We had popadoms to start, which were a little soft and the pickles were watery, which coupled with the cash only sign, set alarm bells ringing. My Madras was so hot as to be inedible , I had Pilau rice with a Grey hue my wife and daughter had Chicken Tikka Masala, the sauce did not look home made. After a mouthful, I gave up as did my wife and daughter, the chicken in all the dishes was not a quality meat. I told the waitress/owner that the food was not up to the standard we were used to, to be fair she made no attempt to argue. She knocked us £4 off the bill, so we paid £40 for a memorable meal for all the wrong reasons, I don't like to give negative reviews but this was the worse meal I've ever had.

Arrived an hour and a half after delivery time

Upon walking into the restaurant we smelt a really strong smell of gas, so I mentioned it and was told it was normal and that it was only coming from the kitchen. So we were seated at a table that was not wiped down and the menus actually stuck to our tablecloth !! After a good 20 minutes we were approached by the lady who we had dealt with from the moment we walked in and she wanted to take our WHOLE order. I.e. drinks, poppadoms, starters, mains. So I said I would like time between the food ariving so she just took the drinks and poppadoms order. I must point out that there were only two other people seated so it wasn't busy.A short while after, a gentleman who looked like he was the manager asked if we would like drinks so we told him we had ordered them over 10 minutes ago and I also enquired about the strong smell of gas to which he replied he couldn't smell it.We had ordered two bottles of Cobra and I saw the girl who took our order go to the bar and start to pour a pint of draught Cobra so I called over and asked if that was for us and she nodded so I pointed out the error. She then sighed and walked away and came back with two bottles of cobra from out the back and I told her not to open them as by this time I had lost the will to live. At this point I was already standing and putting my coat on and the manager was ready and waiting at the door to show us out like it was nothing new that his customers were leaving unhappy.I was lightheaded when I left from the gas and was just happy to be out of there, what an absolutely ridiculous excuse for a restaurant. Do yourself a favour and don't step over the threshold.

We went for a curry late at night been before it woz best Indian we had but this time it woz 2 big let down we got pints that had come out ov cans the pickle tray woz not bad my wife ordered garlic chicken I got the chief special chicken mine woz nice the chicken woz moist and the tasty my wife's on the other hand woz dry and horrible wen we told the waiter she sed it's Saturday it would have been cooked fresh so for me wot about the rest ov the week wen I went 2 pay for the meal I asked 2 pay by card and woz told thay don't take cards but thay had 3 card machine's next to the till one on charge and she told me to go across the road to use the cash machine will I went to the toilet the carpet woz old and tattered there woz 2 generata running in a other room worst Indian I have been to and will not be going back

Really fast delivery but can't say I was that impressed with the food. I had chicken tikka masala, not much chicken, the pilau rice was a bit dry and the keema naan was empty except for some very limited crumbled stuff that tasted vile. Poor effort sorry.

Food was very poor quality. Pasanda sauce and korma sauce were both very gloopy, chicken was like rubber and tasted old. Lamb was more tender but very fatty. Chips were like rubber. Sagaloo potatoes were really hard. I am very disappointed with this. Only ordered due to good reviews I saw but now I won't be ordering again. Terrible Indian for £25, won't buy from here again. Delivery was also 15 minutes late.
