Lovely setting and good food. We are / were regular customers and very surprised at the price hike in our favourite lunch: Savoury Tea, two scones with cream cheese, chutney and tea. Last year it was £7.95. This year the same meal is £10.00 without the tea; you need to choose a drink separately. A single scone with cream cheese and chutney id almost £7.00! This is a huge increase in the price of this particular favourite of our and I see no reason for this extreme change. Sadly, we won't be rushing back to eat. Coffee is still good value.

Asked for Cream tea for 2 - got 4 scones good amount of cream a 2 small pots of Jam £17.90 Then told tea was extra another £3.50 So £21.40 for 2 cream teas is probably the most expensive ones I had. Nice garden space.

Popped in for a cream tea on the last day of our holiday and weren’t disappointed! Shared a cream tea and a gentleman’s tea (cream cheese and onion chutney on a cheese scone) and all was absolutely delicious. Topped off with a gorgeous view and beautiful sunshine. Thank you!

Went for lunch on a glorious August Sunday and wasn't disappointed. The view from the garden over Mounts Bay to Penzance are worth going for on their own. The food was however just as good. With a sandwich you get a nice small salad and crisps making it a nice meal. A very nice place to visit

We found this treasure by chance - just off central Gulval on the way to the sculpture gardens. Small, modern spotlessly clean tea rooms with a fabulous garden and views over the bay. We enjoyed freshly cooked bacon baps and a cream tea with a choice of warm scones. All served with a smile, good banter and efficiency by the lovely staff. Thank you ladies.

We stopped here for tea and sat in the garden. Good quality tea and nice crockery. Please be warned - although we were told it closed at 4pm there is a sign there that last orders are at 3.30pm. I feel you really need to be there by at least 3.15pm as you are likely to be turned away after that time.

We visited the nearby gardens and checked the tearooms out on the way noting the sign that said last orders were 15.30 -arrived back just in time we thought at 15.25 looking forward to a cream tea only to be told by a rather rude assistant that the cafe was closed and she was already shutting up. Sorry we hurried round the gardens now.

Made to feel really welcome. Food was yummy. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely go back again when the sun next shines.

Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday, what a fantastic find!! Funky and quirky vegan cafe. Loved the layout and decor. Best chai latte ever. Absolutely gorgeous tofu tacos, and the squash salad was sooo tasty. It’s dog friendly too!! Young lady was on her own front of house, and the cafe was full, she was run off her feet, but she was brilliant - well done!! Now top of our list for lunching in Mousehole!

I have been here four times now, its become a thing whenever we come to Newquay, tattoo before I go home. The staff are incredibly friendly and always chatting away when you're there. They make you feel like part of the family. It's clean, tidy, always smells so good woth the cakes and coffee, I always feel like I'm home when I go in.

Very good B&B in a very central location. But it is very expensive so 'value for money' comes into question. Very good cooked breakfast served in the mornings but for the money it should provide freshly squeezed orange juice.

We found our way to Freathy Farmhouse Cafe by following a sign from Whitsand Bay. What a lovely find! Very rustic and charming cafe. We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed very generous sandwiches served with delicious salad. Some of us even managed cake! We will definitely return although I understand it is best to check opening times. Ps Loved the decor in the loo!
