Afternoon Tea at Caffe Concerto The Village in Hammersmith and Fulham

No WiFi ! Got charged £71 to sit and eat in an atmosphere where staff were fighting in the kitchen, screaming , swearing and shouting. This is my regular breakfast place but will never go here again. I can see that this has happened before a year ago from a customers review and you have yet to fix this problem! I will be coming back to get a full refund and an apology, this service is not acceptable .

The most disappointing and sad meal I have ever had. It was Sunday in a shopping centre and they had 3 people serving. I had taken my little sister there for a 'special birthday meal' as I hadd stated in the booking as it looked nice and after looking at the reviews, decided to make a judgement for myself. I wish I had have listened to the negative reviews and shied away from the beginning as they did nothing to make this a 'nice birthday meal' for her. We were sat down and eventually got drinks after about 20 minutes which we were then not asked again if we wanted any more. My Sister ordered a pizza which the dough was raw and full of grease on the top. I ordered the tartine selection and made them aware that I would be wanting to swap out the salt beef for an olive tapenade as I don't eat meat. They bought me out a parma ham one. I explained I didn't ask for this, I asked for the olives to which I felt like the waiter argued it with me and said 'you told me you didn't want salt beef so we bought you ham, its not salt beef!' I kindly replied I don't eat meat hence my ask. He took the bit of bread away and bought back the same piece, with the Parma ham pealed off the top and with 4 olives placed on the top. It was at this point I'd had enough. The salad you receive with it is a handful of rocket with no dressing either. Safe to say, I wont be going back, I paid £60 for 4 slices of baguette and a raw pizza and wish I had have had a happy meal instead.

Recently dined at Café Concerto and was really satisfied by the amazing food. Our waiter, Shofi, provided exceptional and friendly service. He was super attentive, on top of it and funny. He made the experience perfect. Thank you for the hospitality! Highly recommend their top-notch service.

We ace been looking forward for our dinner unfortunately it was total disaster. First of all - horrible service. Second- cleanliness.. Next to our table was bucket with dirty plates , tissues etc. Waiters kept throwing thinks in there while we eating... Food - pricy and tastles.We chose lamb shank with mash ( well not real potato mash ! But the one made from powder) disgraceful when you charge customer such money. Everything was floating in oily gravy. Overall service and experience spoiled our special occasion and we escape for desert to another place . Won't recommend this particular Cafe.

We went shopping at Westfield London last Sunday and we came across this beautiful restaurant. My daughter & I ordered the chocolate fondant, Black Forest and concerto hot chocolate… Henal & Disha gave us excellent service… they recommended these 2 desserts and oh boy! Spot on my daughter after taking a bite of the melted chocolate fondant just whisper to me, mummy this is so yummy!! When I see her smile! It makes our day out special.., even after reaching home… she further said… I wish we live in London ! I asked why? Coz mummy I want to go back again in concerto.. I replied. Surely we’ll coming back!

It’s a very busy Saturday (20/01/24) the restaurant is full. We ordered Afternoon tea for 2 with my wife. The service is excellent.. the mini tarts, scone and sandwiches are mouth watering.., the staff work hard… I can see them working tirelessly.. I think they’re only 5 staff in a full restaurant but OMG they still give their best customer service.. the ambiance is posh and cool at the same time. You made our day , a day worth remembering… we’ll recommend to our family & friends.,,

Very good service ,friendly staff. I really recommended this place. The girl who works in bar she's so nice she made our cocktails and coffes then served us quickly even it's so busy in new year. Perfect experience with sonali. She holds jovial personality. I will surely come next time to enjoy here again

We went here for afternoon tea for our first wedding anniversary (which we noted on our booking). Firstly our reservation was not looked for, we were just directed to sit anywhere we wanted. Not a problem it seemed more casual on a Monday. We said we booked afternoon tea without the sandwiches. Our server was nice enough, but we were very soon forgotten about once our food was brought out and three rich ladies wearing expensive clothing were seated. We too were wearing expensive clothes but didn’t have the brands logo on - if this is any reason to have attention? As I said, we booked an afternoon tea without sandwiches as we didn’t really fancy what they had to offer - apparently this didn’t exist as the Chef and waiters decided to talk about our reservation right in front of us, the chef asking the waiter “what do they want then?” after it was brought out to us and we asked: “is this correct, we booked the tea without the sandwiches for £50?”.A bit of advice: take your discussion round the back and then talk to us; have a bit of respect for the customer please. We only asked if this was correct as we didn’t book for sandwiches. Unprofessional. Afternoon tea included four mini scones (tasty!) however the jam was missed and we had no waiters tending to us to ask for some. #wheresthejam?! Four mini cakes which my husband and I split as we each wanted to try them, and a selection of sandwiches honestly I didn’t even know what was in them, other than the egg ones - none of this was explained to us, nobody asked if we had any allergies or intolerances (I do have an allergy in fact!). Another bit of advice: ask if the customer would like to see the menu, and ask if there are any allergies when the customer is seated. We shouldn’t feel awkward in this position, but we did and we just wanted to get out of there honestly. Maybe ask if we were there for any special occasion? We were. Ask us if we’ve had a nice day so far - we had, we were excited to be here on a day we booked annual leave for. Oh and never forget the Jam for scones!

Terrible service - got yelled at by the barista for not collecting my coffee that he didn’t call out. Worst matcha latte I’ve ever had, dry scones and paid a whopping £13 each. Would not recommend

Enjoyed a lovely dinner with a friend, at Concerto Westfield Shepherds Bush, this evening. Abdul greeted us warmly and suggested a few dishes on the menu. We both enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere was very relaxing and we had a lovely catch up. The live music and singing was a lovely added bonus. It was a lovely way to end the day after a long day at work. Would highly recommend it.

If this hadn’t been a gift I would have walked out. Its saving grace and 2* score was due to the manager’s response. We waited and waited, the person that might have been the maitre’d was loud and abrasive. I don’t know if she thought my grey hair was an indication that I was hard of hearing. Her explanation of what we could have for afternoon tea was poor and confusing as we had Prosecco included in our package which she told us was ‘something else’ when queried, she had to backtrack on this when I told her I was confused and asked her to explain again, probably confirming her suspicions about my hearing! We wanted specific drinks in addition to our package but she told us to have them later and pick something that was included, which I thought was laughable but then made me decide that I wasn’t going to spend my money here. We waited a further 40 minutes, and I watched her speak softly and attentively to other customers as we were ignored. We were only served because I caught the manager’s attention and explained how frustrated and irritated I was. Our afternoon tea then arrived within a couple of minutes from a decidedly peeved maitre’d. The tea and sandwiches were average at best but maybe they couldn’t have got anything right at this point and the whole experience was spoiled. Once we got our food we were asked if it was ok and then left alone. Staff didn’t make eye contact and the customer service was generally poor. I wouldn’t go back and recommend going to another branch like the one near Leicester Square if you want to feel like a valued customer.

Amazing service from the manager Abdul. I’ve been here many times with the kids but on this occasion could clearly see the difference. Staff were highly motivated, willingness to serve, courteous, speedy efficient. The whole experience was completely different in a positive way. Pleased to see such a great improvement in service and glad the team has been changed. Thank you to Abdul for a great experience.

My server was Henal and she is absolutely amazing very kind, patient individual carried out all my requests perfectly I’ll definitely ask for her next time.

We were served by the lovely Henal Amin - she was highly professional, gave great advice on the menu and extremely attentive. With this level of service, we will definitely be coming back. She is an example to her peers and colleagues.

Had amazing experience at caffe concerto in Westfield . food was delicious, cocktails was nice . And people who work there was very attentive they took good care of me and my family . Wanted to say thanks to Manager Giada and her amazing team .

Food was average, but the service was really terrible. The manager(?) who was also serving was incredibly rude to us and the staff that presumably reports to her. We waited 35 minutes before we even got water.

Visted several times in the past for birthday occasions. Waited more than 5 minutes to be seated as nobody was maning reception. Current staff not attentive. Asked for bottle of wine two glasses of wine served. When asked to change was told they had no more bottles of Savinougon Blanc ( hard to believe) Mentioned when making bookings it was my wife's birthday and also mentioned twice when we arrived. There was no birthday greeting at any point. Disappointing experience on this occasion. Stephen Montague

BEWARE! AVOID! Horrible company who doesn’t care about customers! They not only ruined my birthday but put my children’s life in danger when putting sharp metal wires in my birthday cake without warning us and my daughter hurt her tongue with it. It could ended up fatal if she or her little brother swallowed it. But because no serious injury (thank god!) happened customer service and the owner totally ignore our emails! What a disgusting company!! Shame on you! Hope you sleep well and no such incident will happen to your family and your children but I wish karma will find you!

Terrible service! We waited over an hour and our afternoon tea had still not arrived. We had to call the manager, who apologised and then the platters arrived. The sandwiches & desserts were just OK and not worth the price we paid. Then, after we finished, it took another 40min for our bill to arrive. Again, we had to call the Manager, who hurried things along. By this time, we had been there well over 2 hours! We would not go again, or recommend to others, unless you don't mind sitting around for hours on end. Very disappointing experience.

The staff, the food and the atmosphere in Cafe Concerto in Shepherd's Bush all get 5 stars from me. The salad nicoise is the best I've ever had and the service from Fathy and Guada were incredible.

Service very bad, I heard the chef in the back shouting and screaming while I was trying to enjoy my sandwich which was very dry and unappetising, also I received the wrong sandwich at first and took over 10 minutes for me to receive the second sandwich, i would not recommend this place to anyone and I wish I could put a 0 star review if it was possible.

If I could give the atmosphere -100 I would! Yesterday I witnessed the most unprofessional and patronising 5-10 mins I have ever experienced while I watched a female chef come out from the back and scream at a young man who was part of the service team! Fortunately, I understand Arabic and I was shocked to the core at the awful things she was saying to him in Arabic. No matter what happened, such altercations should not be expressed in the dining area and especially not in the way the woman was talking. Cafe Concerto, you pride yourselves as luxury, based in the Village, but what I saw yesterday morning was no luxury and not of professional conduct. There was another man from the waiting staff trying to calm her down and was not having it. Really embarrassing and I felt so sorry for the young man on the receiving end who treated her back with kindness! No manager stepped in to tell the woman to stop either! I am a manager in luxury retail and based on what I saw, your chef certainly does NOT portray your company or its ethics it stands by. I will for sure not be coming back again and I advise anyone who stands by the notion of treating employees with dignity and respect to not go to this chain either!

Food was very nice (although bruschetta not properly toasted) but service extremely poor. Very slow - 20 minutes to get drinks - when they did come there was no apology and the explanation was they were ‘very busy’ even though place was less than half full. Had already eaten half food by this time. Served by 4 different staff -2 in particular had very rude unfriendly manner. Very disappointed would not come back due to poor service. Feel sorry for the kitchen staff as front of house are letting them down.

Such a wonderful experience we had in Westfield White City branch. We went there to treat my mum for afternoon tea time on her visit in the UK. I will never forget how Fathy had payed attention to us without judgement as we used voucher to experience their food. (Unlike other restaurants) Too bad, I didn't have cash to tip him so I am writing this review to appreciate. Thank you so much, Fathy!

Highly recommended, the customer service was exceptional thanks to Fathy, there is also live music some evenings which creates a really nice atmosphere. We had the Gnocchi with four cheese and it was delicious.

Only have 5 stars so review is on the top. I got a wowcher so thought let me give concerto afternoon tea a go. Not worth it. Says for 2 but only enough for one. Better experience in Ealing patisserie. I guess u get what u paid for. Don’t b fooled by it. Maybe normal service is good I was disappointed today

Surely a chocolate gateau shouldn’t be sour right? Bought a chocolate gateau from this branch and it tasted sour and rancid! It was bought 2 hours (and was refrigerated immediately before consumption) before tasting and it was just off! Absolutely spoiled the evening and had to appease 3 kids who were looking forward to a special halloween treat. Never again!
