The worst food lv ever ordered! THE WORST reasurant ever! l ordered okra, and instead received gravy/soup with 2 pieces of beef and a 'pinch' of something that looked green which is supposesdly to be okra, see photo. l could have cried and l was in disbeleif og how dishonest Agrotopia is! . l think it should be illegal to rob people of their hard earned money like this. If you dont have the food items just say so than send someone somethinh that they didnt order and thats not edible! The efo was a portion for a 5 year old and had sand/dirt in it. l hadnt ordered here for a few years as their food has been okay but never again. Order here at your risk or even better just toss your money in the bin. l wish l could give it a ZEROOO

The food and the service is really nice

The okra soup I ordered was not good quality. It was thin and not very tasty. The meat had a re-fried quality to it and for the price, I didn’t feel I got enough meat. The swallows are good but the soup’s disappoint.

After a two and a half hour wait and numerous attempts to speak with someone at the restaurant my food still hasn’t arrived.I would strongly advise staying well clear of this clown show.

The pepper soup was just not good,no spice no pepper. The rice could do but then the chicken wasn’t grilled well and the chin chin was nice too.

Afritopia restaurant charge me and my family £6 for eating in. We had come to southampton for holiday..we felt cheated as the person who served us could have told us before we order the meals. Poor customer service.

Food was great and came very early.

I have been ordering from this restaurant for the past 4 years and sometimes the food is bad that one can barely and other times it is so good so I think they don't keep the same chef..yesterday I ordered ifo riro and I will say that is the most disgusting and worst soup I've hard in my whole life..it seems the spinish was just boiled yuck🤢🤮i could barely swallow 3 times..yall need to do better and stop wasting people's money

The worst curry in the world. It was dry pieces of goat on top of jollof rice. There was no curry sauce included. It was possibly boiled drained pieces of goat with rice. There was no trace of curry, but some spices were used. Plantains nice but greasy.

Food was excellent as always and their delivery drivers are also always really nice.

10/10 Egusi, portions are great and drinks always delivered cold

The whole order tasted completely different from the first time I ordered (I ordered exact same thing), like the food was cooked by totally different cooks. The first time was amazing though

Ordered about 2hrs before the proposed delivery time. Food came 50minutea late. Calling the restaurant for update was a waste of time because all I got was an automated response that was not helpful at all . No reasonable update until the food was finally at the door.

I've always enjoyed their Jollof but since the beginning of 2023, their food quality has gone down, and the chicken taste like a leftover.

The moimoi and chicken are not nice

The beef stew was more like half a container of thick tomato soup, with 4 pieces of really dry, tough and over cooked beef. Doesn't taste like the beef was cooked in the 'soup' but added as an after thought according to orders making it extra dry and really tough! The size and contents were not worth the price. Would not recommend!!

To be honest, I wasn’t sure if this place was open for business or not! I came in, sat down for 30 minutes and then left. In that time there was a couple who were waiting for a takeaway order and another couple sat in the table in front of me. For 30 whole minutes there was no sign of life from the restaurant. No one took any orders, no one came out to give me a menu, nothing! The restaurant itself is located in the grubbiest part of town sandwiched among other grubby eateries and nothing enticing about it. Shame, as this being the only Nigerian restaurant for miles, they should be totally capitalising on the monopoly. I wish the owners good luck in this venture but I won’t be returning.

Meal was delivered very very late.

Small food portion. Not worth it for the price. I often order from them but i notice the food portion is not the same. It gets even smaller. Also the goat curry is mostly only bones. Food is just okay nothing special on it. Not satisfied.

Goat was fantastic, the spaghetti and meatballs wasn’t worth the money, we will still order from here again but something else

Fantastic! First time eating Assorted meat stew.... Wow.. just Wow... Cooked to perfection.... Loved it... And the Jollof rice... beautiful.. paired with beef and fried plantains...Very nice

Worst food ever Ordered egusi soup with pounded yam everything was made in the microwave, 2 pieces small of meat that’s it and don’t even know how old the food actually is. Customer was sat down when he received his food he said ( wow it’s steaming hot I just saw it coming out of the microwave in a box. They make portions and heat them in the microwave when someone orders it. NOTHING FRESH NOT RECOMMENDED DISGUSTING FOOD FOR SECOND TIME!!!!

I thought giving this restaurant a second chance will improve my ratings. This is the worst Africa restaurant. They cook rice and stored in the freezer and just warm up for customers. The chicken was spoilt and you could see the smell from a far. I was served food with no cutlery and serviettes. The food qas so bad, you cannot taste it. The food hygiene I reckon would be appalling. They reied to force me to buy chinchin because buns was not available. What's the point t of giving meat from stew when you clearly requested fried rice. Very poor restaurant.

I have been ordering food here for a couple of years and never had a problem... but the past two times I have been in I've not been entirely happy, I wasn't going to order again but I thought be fair and give it another go so tonight I did.... I clearly stated that my food last time was not up to scratch, curry goat was full of bones and fat no meat!!! and again tonight it's worse than last time 😩 I've got 3 chunks of meat out of the whole meal and they are dry and hard to chew, the rest of it is bones and fat!! only thing edible is the rice and to be fair £8 for just rice is not on, I'm pregnant and need my food jallof rice isn't gonna cut it... I'm sorry afritopa but I got to be honest .. I've attached pictures just so you can see for yourself.

Very authentic and fresh tasting west african food. Very good value for money compared to many restaurants we've been too/ ordered from. I can definitely recommend the chicken Jollof, efo (spicey spinach in tomato stew sauce) and the plantain. Restaurants like this can help west African food become a more mainstream cuisine!

Have been trying to support local African businesses within my community for a while now but 7/10 times I’ve ordered from this restaurant, I’ve been left with disappointment. If you want to guarantee that your food will be late, uneven portion ration, inconsistent communication + bad customer service...this place will surely give you that. So today I placed my order at 4:00pm which is when their delivery service supposedly starts on the website meaning my order would likely have been one of the first ones received. After 1.5 hours I kept having to call the restaurant to check on my order as I had to leave for work shortly. The waitress who took the call informed me she would call me back in “2 minutes” for update from driver. 25 minutes later I yet again had to call them back because the waitress didn’t even have the courtesy to keep me updated. Anyway the only thing she could tell me was “the driver is on the way” but couldn’t tell me how far away he might be, which wasn’t helpful at all. 2.5 hours later the driver called me telling me he’s outside, by which point I had already left for work. He then tried to get emotional sympathy from me with a bogus story about the original driver who had been assigned for the trip having been taken to A&E blah blah blah. I say this because this is not the first time I’ve had this type of experience with this restaurant and have been given poor excuses, at times they are even so rude and give you attitude as if you’re not the one paying to help keep their business afloat! The food is averagely edible (though their stingy meat portions could improve). The main thing that lets them down is the poor service though. Another disappointed customer, yet again. Doesn’t seem like they take pride in their reputation at all if you look at recent similar reviews. From the few African restaurants in Southampton, this sadly isn’t one of the good ones.

Food was tasty, but they could do better with the amount of meat, how do I pay extra for meat but get only one extra extra piece.

Food arrived early and was hot. I was excited but unfortunately the moi-moi tasted like soaked garri, the rice was microwaved and rubbery and the ayamase hand no flavour. The ayamase was very disappointing.

My first time going here and the foood was amazing, very friendly guy I met, ordered and went to pick up...my husband loved it, had jellof rice, curry goat, and some more things, just what i needed 😋

I ordered a takeaway at the very end of the UK's third pandemic lockdown (May 2021) and the food was spotlessly clean, well presented (if simple), piping hot and tasted really good. I would urge some caution with the menu since it is very obviously southern Nigerian (at a push "West African") which is quite distinct from many other parts of Africa (for example Ethiopian, Angolan, Kenyan cuisine - to name a few). My only minor issues were that the Jollof rice was a little over-cooked. The service is well intentioned too - as in within a couple of minutes of my placing my order (via just-eat website) and the chef phoned me up to inform me one of side dishes i had ordered was not available. All in all it was a really interesting experience with a very different (Nigerian/West African) cuisine - with different flavours and tastes, if simple. The dough balls were really good as was the fufu and pounded-cassava

That was just bad... I ordered pounded jam, they called me and said I had to have it with soup, you don’t, so I added soup too, when it arrived there was no soup or the yam! I ate curry goat which was all fat For me I will not order again.

Taste e definitely unique and very delicious. I just though is a lot of rice for 2 pieces of beef and 2 legs of chicken. I would suggest 1/3 of rice, more meat cut in small pieces and a little salad or veggies. Yes the delivery guy is awesome.

The food doesnt taste good. The stew on the ayamase rice was so little compare to the rice ratio - doesnt make any sense. The jollof rice is dry and tasteless. Didnt enjoy the food and I'm not coming back - tired of wasting money on food like these.

Very bad service, delivery takes nearly 1.30hours, curry goat was bones, not sure I got one bit of meat off. Shocking service food is usally nice but last 2 times had been bad.
